Does Forever Always Mean Forever Speaker: Shane Vaughn Date Delivered: 2016-03-11 Source video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRWTBZ9os-I YouTube title: Shane Vaughn Teaching - Does FOREVER always mean forever Transcript made from the video's YouTube captions. 1 hello everybody and welcome to our study today on the word forever and does Forever always mean forever um when you read an English Bible without a Hebrew or a Greek understanding it is Paramount that you find out if the word that you're reading um has a different meaning and in this case the word forever if you don't understand understand the different Hebrew words for forever it can be very very very confusing there are times in the word of God when you read the word forever that it does not necessarily mean forever there are 10 Hebrew words 10 that were translated into the English as forever 2 there's 10 Hebrew words it is your job as a student of the word of Yahweh to dive into these meanings to make sure that what you're reading is actually what you're understanding now I want to go to uh one of these words and talk about it first of all when you read the word forever in English always go to your strongs concordance and find out which Hebrew word it is out of the 10 Hebrew words for forever only two of them only two actually mean Without End or forever the rest of the Hebrew words8 out of 10 means something quite different than uh forever they actually 3 mean until a certain time or until a space of time they have a beginning they have an ending they are not truly forever now the two words that have the meaning forever are the words oam o or sorry o l e m oam o l e m and then the Greek word Alam a l a m both of these can be found in your Strong's Concordance 5769 and 5957 if the word is Olam and it's translated forever in English that word truly means forever if it's Alam a l a m and it's translated into forever in English you can rest assured that word means what it says forever but in all 4 the other cases if you see the word forever in English do not necessarily mean or or think that it means what it says it's your job the Apostle Paul said it is incumbent upon every student of God's word to study to show themselves approved unto Yahweh you cannot depend on anybody to study for you you cannot depend on a preacher to bring you the word of God he can teach you and you check what he's teaching but it is up to you to study the word and the word forever if it's not studied correctly it will be a complete misunderstanding in your mind so again the two Hebrew words 5 for forever Isam and Alam now surprisingly enough there is only three subjects in the word of God where these two Hebrew words are found Olam and Alam is only found when speaking about three subjects in the word of God number one his sacred name Yahweh anytime you see about his sacred name and you see the word forever you're going to find the Hebrew word Alam or Alam number two surprisingly enough the only time you'll see those two words used in Hebrew is concerning his Sabbath that's the second subject his sacred name and his holy Sabbath when you see keep the Sabbath forever it is the Hebrew word Olam and 6 the Hebrew word Alam now whenever you see it pertaining to the holy days which is Passover unleavened bread first fruits trumpets atonement un uh Tabernacles and the last great day whenever you see it pertaining to the subject of the holy days then the word forever means forever now when God is speaking to his people around the world he tells them to keep his Sabbath forever and to never ever ever forsake his Sabbath the word forever is truly forever when it comes to his sacred name his Sabbath and His holy days now you can find all of this in Exodus 3:15 Exodus 12:14 Exodus 12:17 Leviticus 7 23:21 Leviticus 23:24 and Leviticus 23:39 what you're going to find in those verses is Sabbath and holy days and you're going to find them followed by keep these forever you can rest assured that those Forevers are exactly what God says and what God means Without End now we're living in a day and a time when the church teaches that the Sabbath and the sacred name and the holy days were done away with when Jesus died on the cross but that is not the case because those sabbaths and those holy days and we can show you from the scriptures will continue throughout the Millennium Reign if you go to Isaiah 66 and: 22 you will 8 find these words for as the new heavens and the new Earth which I shall make remain before me says Yahweh so shall your seed and your name remain and it shall come to pass that from one new moon to another and from one Sabbath to another shall All Flesh come to worship me that is biblical proof that in the next day the seventh day the 7,000th year when the reign of the Messiah comes to our planet and a one world government takes over from sea to shining sea that God's holy seventh day Sabbath God's sacred name and all of his holy days will continue throughout the Millennium 9 the word forever only means forever in the Old Testament when it's referring to the sacred name to the sabbaths of our Lord and to the holy days may God bless you have a great day

Summary

The speaker teaches that ten Hebrew words are translated forever in English Bibles and that only two of them mean without end. He says those two words appear only in connection with God's sacred name, his Sabbath and his holy days. He cites passages in Exodus, Leviticus and Isaiah 66:22 to argue that the Sabbath, sacred name and holy days were not done away with and will continue through the Millennium.

Core doctrine
