wanted to talk to you tonight is I wanted to explain to you uh about what happened about 6 hours ago almost 2,000 years ago about 6 hours ago um our Lord the Messiah of Israel resurrected from the dead you see yua his Hebrew name uh did not resurrect from the dead as we've always thought on a Sunday morning especially on an Ishtar Sunday morning which would have been last Sunday but in fact he rose from the dead at the end of the Sabbath day uh on which would have been just 6 hours ago our time here in this part of the world um and so we celebrate tonight that our Lord is no longer in the grave now one thing I want to talk to you about is of a misconception that I would like to maybe help you study clear up in your own mind and um here's the misconception it is often said that yua while he was dead went and preached to the dead that were already dead that were maybe in Hell uh Purgatory wherever you want to say but we've always thought and said that um yua uh went and preached to Spirits in prison uh went and preached to the dead saints that had died in the Old Testament and then brought them all to heaven with him I would like to correct that if I could this evening um we always should be open for correction every one of us but Yeshua did not go and preach to dead folks um now there's a reason for that if you don't understand our teaching on what happens to the Dead I strongly encourage you go to YouTube subscribe to our YouTube channel do that right now first Harvest Ministries when you go there there's over 200 teaching videos and one of them is entitled what happens to the dead so many people think that while yua was dead that he went and preached to Spirits in prison but I'd like for you to turn to that that scripture with me real quick and let's see if we cannot better understand what really happened because it's important because right now at this Midnight Hour on this first day of the week it is imperitive that we know what happened to yua whenever he resurrected from the dead at 6:00 and nobody saw him till the next morning where was he at that what was he doing we know he had not yet ascended to the father yet because that did not happen until later uh actually um I w't get into that tonight but we know the exact timing because it's when we start counting the Omar which I'll teach you next Sabbath about the Omar but what happened to yua when he resurrected from the dead at 6:00 until early morning the next day when Mary Magdalene um saw him where was he at what was he doing let's go in our Bibles to First Peter tonight um and we'll just start at verse uh Chapter 3 Verse 18 now sadly preachers are out there preaching that yesu while he was dead he went down into hell preached to uh David and Moses and all the saints and and then brought them all out of hell with him and they all went to heaven with him my that's just so not true and I I it's amazing the things that we believe without testing the scripture so let's find out where yua is at right now at this moment in history after his resurrection which was 6 hours ago where is he at right now and by the way while I'm teaching if you have any questions that you would like or or concerns if I'm I'm not making something plain you can leave a comment and if I see the comment I'll be happy to address it for you you and try to answer your questions this evening so let's go and we're going to find out exactly where yua was um at this moment in time 1 Peter 3 and18 for Christ also has once suffered for sin the just for the unjust that he might bring us to Yahweh being put to death in the flesh but resurrected by the spirit and that word Quicken there is resurrected so notice what this verse is talking about it's talking about two things the death of Christ and the resurrection of our Messiah two events death Resurrection the flesh died but there was a res resurrection of the spirit where yua came forth from the grave no longer flesh and blood but now a spirit body and this Resurrection takes place notice the next verse verse 19 and this is the verse where many people get messed up they preach false Doctrine they teach that Yeshua went to the graves and brought the dead folks uh to heaven with him and they get that sincerely from the next verse by which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison now Paul this is the danger of not understanding the Hebrew culture of the Bible this is the danger you can take verse 19 and not read the verse before it and not read the verse coming up behind it and create a strange doctrine that Yeshua went and preached to the dead while he was dead so let's systematically destroy that and find out what really happened first of all he went and preached the spirits and prison but notice when he went and preached to Spirits in prison it is not while he was dead no no no go back to verse 18 and let's read the last claw of Verse 18 but was resurrected by the spirit now notice the first words of verse 19 by which or because of the Resurrection by which by what by the resurrection so anything that's about to be spoken about happened post Resurrection not while he was sleeping in In the Flesh so everything that we're about to talk about happened in the time period after his resurrection read it again don't take my word for anything I I I always open the uh when I had our local congregation when I would get through teaching I would open the floor up to be debated to be questioned because brothers and sisters it is your duty it is your responsibility to check every one of these things against the scripture so open your Bible again if you have a question about what we're discussing God bless you Bishop Reed good to hear from you tonight um so I I love you my brother I love you I'm just bored tonight so I just thought that I would discuss some of these scriptures so what happened to yua after he was resurrected 6 hours ago where is he right now before Mary Magdalene sees him as a gardener what do he doing and we know he's not with the father at this point so where is he is he in Tawn drinking a root beer is he hanging out with friends no let's find out exactly what he's doing in verse 19 says because of the Resurrection he went and preached to Spirits in prison okay first of all let's get your Greek Lexicon out and let's find out if he really went and preached to dead folks let's find out if that's what he did let's go to the word preached now most of the time in the New Testament when you see the word preached it comes from the Greek word evangelisto and if you can look all of those up I don't have time with right now but and it means the good news evangelisto evangelist evangelism normally the word preach in the New Testament comes from that word for the good news which is the gospel of salvation but we've got a major problem if yua has gone to preach the gospel of Salvation to Spirits in prison number one lie number one he did not do this while he was dead he did this by the resurrection after his resur Direction that's the train going by my house if you can hear it uh it happens every night at this same time and U so I just stay up till it passes and then I go to sleep but let's just talk about this word preached if you want to look it up in your Greek Lexicon it's actually the Greek word kiso kiso now kiso is totally different than evangelisto which is the word every other instance in the New Testament it uses a total different Greek word word for preach but I want you to notice what the meaning of the word kuso is and it basically is this to be a Herald of a message to officiate or declare a formal and Grave message with the authority to be obeyed to publish to Proclaim something which has been done now strangely the apostles did not use the word evangelisto he uses kuso because what Yeshua did after his resurrection was nothing to do with the gospel to dead folks first he went and delivered an authoritative message he brought a a a statement of Truth to Spirits in prison now who are these Spirits in prison is it the dead Saints um is it David and Moses and Elijah that he's preaching to who are these Spirits in prison the very next verse will tell you who they are but before we go to the next verse in First Peter let me remind you of something Yahweh is a spirit but so is Lucifer Lucifer is Spirit demons are Spirit angels are SP Spirit you and I will be spirit in the resurrection and um so first of all he's going to preach to Spirits now what does the bible call the angels of Yahweh he said they are ministering Spirits so we already know without a shadow of a doubt that yua resurrects delivers a message to Spirits in prison now I want to look at that word prison with me real quick if you will before we go to the next verse and show you exactly what happened but he speak to he preached to Spirits in prison comes from the Greek word um uh fake which means those that are under guard those that are being watched those that are being held captive in a prison brothers and sisters there was a time in the history of the Bible where a certain group of spirits or Angels were very rebellious to Yahweh and let's go back and read exactly who yua went and preached to you're welcome Shelly I'm thank you thankful that you're watching this evening so many people really don't understand this and I thank God that we came to understand it and now I'm trying to teach it to anybody that's interested okay okay let's go back to First Peter get your Bibles follow me don't ever believe a word I say people never never never 1 Peter 3 and 18 now let's go down to verse 19 and then we're going to pick up at the end of verse 19 and see exactly who these Spirits are he went and preached to Spirits in prison verse 20 which sometimes in other words at some point in time the spirits in prison were disobedient when Once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah while the ark was of preparing were in few that is eight Souls were saved by water now the mystery is completely solved by the word interpreting the word he tells you immediately who these Spirits in prison are and why there in prison I'm going to talk to you about that prison in just a moment but before I do let's go back to the time of Noah if you go to Genesis chapter 6 where the sons of Yahweh had relations with the daughters of men this was during the time of Noah well this scripture verse 20 says that there was a group of spirits and of course if you read The Book of Enoch you'll find even much more detail concerning these spirits at one so why are they in prison first of all you cannot put Spirits in prison there's no prison in the world that's going to hold in uh Eternal spirits but I would like to show you um what that prison was and why they were put there they did something that was very very very it it brought such Devastation upon the Earth that they had to be dealt with and they were now let's go to Second Peter 2 and 4 for if God spared not the spirits that sinned now your Bible may say Angels but we just dealt with that angels are spirits second pet 2 and 4 for if God spared not the spirits that sinned you see all the pieces starting to connect together but C C them down to Hell now wait a minute be very careful with that word hell because that is one of the very few places that it does not mean grave and it does not mean the Lake of Fire but it's the if not the only time one of the very few times that the Greek word tartaro go look at it in your Greek Lexicon in this instance hell is a horrible translation it it really is it's bad it shouldn't be there the word should be he put them in prison because if you'll look at the Greek word tartaro uh you're going to find out that it's the name of the region um and it to to to make it more plainly it was it was sort of the place where it it was a holding place a prison if you will tartaro does not mean the grave it does not mean hell it means a sub region um an abode of of of the wicked um Tartarus which if you'll studyed even further it's an incarceration it's an incarceration so let's go back and read the scripture again understanding that this does not mean the Lake of Fire and it does not mean the grave as it does in other places so if Yahweh spared not the spirits that sinned but put them in prison and delivered them into chains of Darkness now that's prison brother and sister to be reserved until the Judgment now how do you put Spirits in Chains how does that happen you can't just like you can't burn burn up a spirit in hell that's why they must be tormented for all eternity flesh cannot be I'll deal with that in another lesson but let's stay on course here so they're put in Chains of Darkness so what that means to me is before the days of Noah these Spirits were not in Chains of Darkness they were visible and walked among men we know know that to be a fact I don't have to get into that this evening but there there was a change there was something that changed in the way that these Spirits interacted with Humanity now um notice what he said he put them in Chains of Darkness now that word darkness is interesting I'm going to read it to you just so that you can understand it it comes from the Greek word zos which means blackness obscurity or rather invisibility obscurity is another word for invisibility at one time the sons of Yahweh manifested visibly to the daughters of men there's no doubt about that but when that happened Yahweh was going to deal with them and he placed them into an invisible re where that could never ever happen again so these Spirits are in prison they're in Tartarus they are in the chains of obscurity they can no longer pass through that visible realm as the angels of Yahweh are able to do now let's go read one more verse and then I'll try to tie all the pieces together so we can find out what yua was doing during this time uh right after his resurrection let's go to the book of Jude 1 verse 6 now what was their sin what was their mistake that caus yah to deal with these Spirits in prison here it is are you ready Jude 1 and6 and the angels are the spirits remember angels are spirits and the spirits which kept not their first estate but left their own habitation he hath reserved in Everlasting chains under obscurity or invisibility or Darkness unto the Judgment of the great day which is the last great day of the feast when everyone will be judged even hassatan Satan now so let's go back um because that's the third biblical witness that we needed you put all these pieces together Yeshua had to deliver a message unto these Spirits in prison after his resurrection it would have done no good for him to go you know when I was growing up they we said that he went to the grave and he went and shook the gates of hell and took the keys out of the devil's hand you know that's good preaching and that sounds great but there was nothing for him to brag about as a dead man sadly we don't understand that man doesn't have a soul and we don't and therefore we mix all this up that yeshua's Soul was in prison you got to get this right or you'll have it messed up from one end to the other Yeshua had nothing to brag about as a dead man they would have done him no good to go to the gates of hell and and and torment hell he was a dead man he had no legal claim to Divinity he had proven nothing at this point but by the resurrection verse 19 in fir in 1 Peter 3 And1 19 but by the resurrection he's now got baby he's now got a claim he's now got bragging rights he now has Authority remember after his resurrection he said now all authority has been given unto me in heaven and in Earth he now has authority over over that realm called Tartarus which is the prison of these angels so what did he tell them you know I wasn't there you were not there we cannot say definitively but there's a few clues that give us an idea remember there is a 6 day time period 6,000 years that we're working on here hassatan is well aware that the 6 days is almost over that's the reason the world is falling apart all around us that's the reason sexual Devany and people transforming their bodies all of these things is rebellion lawlessness is happening everywhere because hassatan knows he's at the end of the six days his a lotted Time the scripture says Satan is angry with us because he knows that his days or his time is short well so do all of his demon powers this is the reason when he was on the Earth when he went to cast out a devil the Bible said that they begin to basically defend their Claim by saying um by saying to him have you come to torment us before the time whoa whoa yua it's not time yet this is the fourth day not the sixth day and besides you have not passed the Jonah test you have not gotten legal divic claim oh Hallelujah to the throne of David you have not passed the Jonah test of three days and three nights in the grave you can't so I I believe that when he got up by the power of the Resurrection from 6:00 that evening till the next morning he went to Tartarus he went to the prison and told he showed them the nails in his hand he showed them his living breathing Spirit body and declare to them now all authority in Heaven and Earth is given unto me and I believe with all my heart he looked them in the eye and said I come to let you know you got two days left oh absolutely in the book of Hosea we're told that Israel said two days he has Afflicted us on the third day he will restore us yua came to deliver the message message to those Spirits in prison you got 2 days left to to continue what you've been doing but on that third day which is the seventh day I don't te I won't teach that tonight but I will return and I will judge you and I will be the judge and the jury you've got two days left now this is what happened from the resurrection in the evening till the next morning and and I tell you that I'm I have such strong Pentecostal roots in me right now I'm having a hard time not shouting myself crazy up in this office because I I feel the unction the power of the holy spirit in this room right now amen God bless you brother um uh brother store thank you so much I am comfortable tonight and um I appreciate you so much tun tuning in and watching us this evening uh does anybody else have any questions about what yua was doing from 6:00 in the evening until the next morning I hope I've explained it I hope perhaps you understand better now that yua did not preach to dead folks in prison he couldn't The Dead Know Nothing the dead are sleeping and besides all that if he preached to dead folks and brought them to heaven with him we have a major problem because some 30 years later the Apostle John the Beloved in John uh I believe 6 or three my memory fails me at this moment he wrote the words that no man has ascended into heaven except the son of man which is in heaven now the next question comes up um and let me try to pull the scripture up real quick if y'all don't have anywhere to go I have nowhere to go thank you brother St I appreciate that I'm glad that it's um giving you something to think about but um I want to see if I can find there's another thing that bothers people they ask about the 500 people um that resurrected when Christ resurrected and they want to know you know they try to convince me that these folks are in heaven with yua let me explain what happened if I can there had to be this resurrection of these 500 people for a reason now before we go any further I'm going to prove to you from 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verse number six this is where Paul eludes to those 500 people that came out of the Grave um when yua did and verse 6 of chapter 15 says these words after that he was seen of above 500 Brethren at once now let's hold on a minute who were those 500 Brethren and why were they resurrected the reason they were resurrected my friends is because of this they had to be witness of the Resurrection because in later days this very testimony of Paul is this look Brothers he tells them in in verses three I saw yua resurrected from the dead well that's not powerful that's not a powerful witness you saw him okay and he's like but wait a minute wait a minute not just me but he's then in in verse number uh verse number five he says and then the 12 saw not just me but 12 disciples saw him well you can wash that off as as a bunch of 12 cultic followers that would say anything to not be wrong about the resurrection and then he says but wait a minute wait a minute there's more over 500 bre will testify to you today that they saw the resurrection they witnessed the resurrection this is why those 500 had to rise to give power and Credence to the early Church of the Resurrection one man wasn't enough 12 men weren't enough but 500 men that was willing to lay down their life for their testimony brother that's powerful in any court of law whether in the Hebrews or the Greeks this would pass the test of a trial of the Resurrection but so uh shame you people ask me so aren't they in heaven today well no the verse I'm the very verse tells you otherwise let's read it uh verse 6 1 Corinthians 15: 6 and after that he was seen of above 500 Brethren at once of whom the greater part remain at the present but some some died again they didn't go with yua to heaven where do we get these things from Paul tells you what happened to these 500 some of them were still alive and some of them had died again why because it's appointed unto every man to die and then the Judgment not heaven the judgment and the judgment is reserved according to yua for a certain day and that day is yet to come no body gets into the kingdom without going through the Judgment so these men had to die again it's just like Lazarus yes he was resurrected from the dead but he had to die again so I hope that helps you understand about those 500 Brethren and why they had to be resurrected and where they are today um now I think that that um understand good to see you tonight sister Elane Smith from over in um is it New Zealand uh she's such a faithful supporter of our ministry all the way from New Zealand God bless you tonight brother Walker Doug Walker I love you my brother I'm so thankful I just I love all of my brethren and I'm thankful that uh we were able to talk about this tonight I'm going to go here in just a moment but um if you have any more questions about uh this subject or if you're still confused about something right now is the time to ask me I'm getting sleepy I'm fixing the go to bed but if you've got any other questions about this subject or comments or disagreements feel free to post them right here uh before I go um I want to remind you guys we have over 20 published books here at first Harvest Ministries um we don't charge for our our books we in my hand I gave them all away at the Feast of unleaving bread but I've got one left it's a Bible commentary on the book of Colossians for those of you that keep the Sabbath day you know that they always go to the book of Colossians to try to convince us that we don't have to keep the Sabbath so this beautiful book is um it is available on amazon. com you can get it there I think it's $9 there but if you want I can mail it to you free of charge if you don't have any money to buy and then this book's called the sin unto death this book will change your life I I don't have time to talk about it tonight but literally it would change your life or your understanding at least so we have books available over 20 books our website is first harvest church. org but please go to our YouTube channel right now and subscribe first Harvest Ministries there's over 200 teaching videos right there all right it looks like we must have answered everybody's questions because I don't see any questions that need to be answered let me say this we're still in the Feast of unleavened bread uh this is the third day of unleavened bread uh it began Wednesday night at Sunset um you need to clean your homes out of unleavened bread no doubt but more importantly we need to do what the Apostle Paul said we need to keep the feast with sincerity and truth you can't haul a bunch of garbage bags of bread out of your house when you've done your brother wrong and you've not made it right when you've stolen from someone and you've not restored it when you've talked about someone and you've not made it right you're a hypocrite if you're hauling bread out of your house but you're not hauling bitterness out of your heart unforgiveness take these next few days search every corner of your heart heart beloved search the crevices of your being search your memory bank and say holy spirit ruach cadesh show me the leaven in my life show me even if I wasn't wrong just show me who to go to to make something right because I want to be pleasing that's the purpose of the Feast of unleavened bread to teach us sanctification so brothers and sisters I greet you from the Gulf Coast of Mississippi tonight we look forward to one day meeting every one of you face to face in our father's Kingdom until then good night and may Yahweh bless you and keep every one of you bye-bye e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e Summary

This second teaching on 1 Peter 3:19 focuses on what Yeshua did immediately after His resurrection. Vaughn argues that He did not descend to preach salvation to dead people but instead proclaimed His triumph and authority to fallen angels imprisoned since the days of Noah. Using 1 Peter 3, 2 Peter 2, and Jude 1, the sermon presents the imprisoned spirits as rebellious angels confined in Tartarus and teaches that Yeshua's resurrection established His authority over every spiritual realm.
