Luke calls the seed the word of God. Put them together and the seed becomes what it has always been — The Word of YAHWEH Concerning His Coming Kingdom. That single phrase is the entire ministry of YAHSHUA in eight words. Strip it away and you are left with nothing but moralism, sentimentality, and the modern American church. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 4 I. THE PREMISE OF THIS SERIES For nearly two thousand years the parables of YAHSHUA have been preached as moral lessons — little stories with universal applications about prayer, faith, and human nature. And while there are applications that touch every soul who reads them — the application is not the meaning. The meaning was hidden in plain sight, locked behind a single statement YAHSHUA Himself made about His own ministry: Matthew 15:24 “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Every word He spoke was inside one mission. Every parable. Every miracle. Every confrontation with the Pharisees. Every weeping over Jerusalem. Every word from a boat, a hillside, a Sabbath synagogue — All of it was the recovery of the scattered tribes of Israel and the restoration of the Kingdom of YAHWEH on earth. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 5 This series will prove — parable by parable — that the entire teaching ministry of YAHSHUA was a Two-House ministry. He spoke to Judah present, and He prophesied to Ephraim scattered. He addressed the soil in front of Him and seeded the soil that would not appear for two thousand years. WE BEGIN WHERE HE BEGAN. WE BEGIN WITH THE SOWER. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 6 II. THE SUBJECT WAS ALWAYS THE GOVERNMENT To the Hebrew mind, the word kingdom meant something concrete. It did not mean a feeling. It did not mean a private spiritual experience. It did not mean an inner glow. IT MEANT GOVERNMENT. It meant a King, a Law, a Land, and a People. For the Western Mind to Grasp the Parables — We must translate the word kingdom every time we read it: • Kingdom = Government • Kingdom of God = The Government of YAHWEH on earth The Sower is not a parable about salvation. The Sower is a parable about the proclamation of a coming government — and how four different categories of hearers would receive that proclamation. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 7 Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations...” Not to convert the world. Not to save the world. Not to Christianize the world. So that the earth would have a witness of the government that is coming. The witness is the verdict. The witness is the legal record. The witness is the testimony entered into the court of heaven before the King returns. The Sower is the first parable of that witness. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 8 III. THE WITNESS, THE SERVER, AND THE COURT OF HEAVEN Now Hear This — A court will not proceed with a lawsuit until every defendant has been served. Until that defendant has been formally made aware of the pending judgment, the case cannot move forward. The court will not hear it. The judgment cannot be rendered. The gavel cannot fall. WHY? Because no man can be lawfully judged for what he was never told he stood accused of. The whole legal system — heaven's and earth's — is built on this principle: There must be a witness. There must be a person — or two persons — who carry the notice of the pending judgment to the door of the defendant. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 9 • The server is not the prosecutor. • The server is not the judge. • The server is not the jury. • The server is not even trying to convince the defendant of anything. The server is simply doing one thing — delivering the notice — that the court is now in session, the docket is now set, and the day of judgment is now appointed. Without that notice, without that witness, the court cannot proceed. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 10 This Is Exactly What YAHSHUA Was Teaching. Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Look at that last clause again — “and then shall the end come.” The end — the judgment, the return of the King, the inauguration of His government — cannot come until the witness has been delivered. This is why YAHSHUA was so emphatic that the gospel of the Kingdom must be preached in all the world. He was not running a marketing campaign. He was not trying to convert the planet. He was building a legal record. Heaven's court will not open until earth's defendants have been served. And the only paper they need to see is the announcement of the coming Kingdom. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 11 That is the summons. That is the notice. That is the witness. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 12 THE TWO-WITNESS PATTERN OF HEAVEN Heaven's Court Operates on a Specific Rule. Every legal matter under YAHWEH's covenant must be established by two or three witnesses. This is not a suggestion — it is the immutable jurisprudence of the universe: Numbers 35:30 “Whoso killeth any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die.” Deuteronomy 17:6 “At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.” Deuteronomy 19:15 “One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin... at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.” Matthew 18:16 THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 13 “Take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.” 2 Corinthians 13:1 “In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.” Six separate scriptures — across both testaments — establishing the same rule. Heaven's court will not render a verdict against any man on the testimony of one alone. Two or three must come and serve the notice. Two or three must establish the word. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 14 AND SO HE SENT THEM — TWO AND TWO This is why YAHSHUA's commissioning was structured the way it was. He was not just being practical. He was building a court case. Mark 6:7 “And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two...” Luke 10:1 “After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.” Notice — “into every city and place.” Every city. Every place. The defendants would not be left unserved. The Sower would not allow the harvest to come before the witness had reached the doors. Two by two. City by city. Door by door. The notice was being delivered. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 15 And what were they delivering? Not a doctrine of personal salvation. Not an invitation to a religious experience. They were delivering one specific message: Luke 10:9 “The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.” That was the summons. That was the notice. That was the witness. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 16 IV. THE PATTERN IS STILL IN FORCE — AND FHMI IS WALKING IT Now Listen, Beloved — This same pattern is operating in our day. Heaven's court has not changed its rules. The defendants must still be served. The witness must still go forth two and two. Jeremiah 3:14 “Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you ONE OF A CITY, AND TWO OF A FAMILY, and I will bring you to Zion.” Read who that prophecy is addressed to: the backsliding children — the scattered, the lost, the wandering twelve tribes. The Amplified Bible reads it plain: “Return, O faithless children of the whole twelve tribes...” This is a Two-House promise. This is a recovery prophecy. And the gathering THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 17 pattern is one from a city, and two from a family. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 18 Look at What FHMI Looks Like. We are not a megachurch. We are not a denomination with offices in every state. We are scattered saints across America and across the world. • Sometimes one to a city. • Sometimes two to an entire state. • A few in California. A handful in Texas. One in Maine. Two in the Carolinas. A small remnant in the Mississippi Gulf. • Across the ocean — one in Africa. Two in Europe. Scattered ones in the islands. And to natural eyes that looks like weakness. To denominational eyes that looks like failure. BUT TO HEAVEN'S COURT — THAT IS THE EXACT PATTERN. One of a city. Two of a family. The Jeremiah 3:14 fulfillment in real time. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 19 YAHWEH did not promise to gather Ephraim by the millions in a single revival. He promised to gather them one by one and two by two — out of every city, out of every family, out of every tribe — and to bring them to Zion. FHMI is the literal living out of that gathering pattern. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 20 EVERY BOOKLET IS A SUBPOENA And here is the truth that ought to set every scattered saint on fire tonight. We are not just teaching. We are not just preaching. We are not just writing books. We are serving notice. Every booklet that goes out the door of First Harvest Ministries is a subpoena from heaven's court. Every page on HisComingKingdom.com is a notice nailed to the courthouse door. Every broadcast on TheTruthTv.tv is a server stepping onto the porch with the papers in his hand. And the Notice Reads: • The court is in session. • The docket is set. • The day of judgment is appointed. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 21 • The Kingdom of YAHWEH is at hand. • You are hereby served. That is what every tract is. That is what every podcast is. That is what every Substack article is. That is what every Sabbath sermon is. We are not trying to convince you. We are simply telling you the court is about to open. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 22 THE TWO WITNESSES WILL FINISH THE SERVICE And at the end of the age, when the witness work is nearly complete, YAHWEH will raise up His final two servers — two witnesses who will deliver the last notice the world will ever receive: Revelation 11:3 “And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.” Two. Witnesses. Even at the very end — the same legal pattern. Heaven's court does not deviate from its own rules. The case will be sealed by two. The defendants of the whole earth will receive their final summons from two. And then — and only then — the end shall come. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 23 This is the legal sequence of the ages: • First — the witness goes forth. • Then — the defendants are served. • Then — the witness is sealed. • Then — the court opens. • Then — the King returns. • Then — judgment is rendered. • Then — the Kingdom is established. And FHMI — scattered, small, two to a state — is part of the witness work that opens the court. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 24 SO STOP COUNTING HEADS — START COUNTING NOTICES Beloved, Stop Measuring This Ministry the Way the World Measures Ministry. Stop comparing yourself to the megachurch down the road. Stop wondering why we are so few. We are not few because we have failed. We are few because the Sower has only given us the seed for one of a city and two of a family. THAT WAS ALWAYS THE PLAN. Every time you hand someone a tract — you are a server. Every time you share a teaching link — you are a server. Every time you stand on a sidewalk in your town — the only one in your town with this message — you are the witness in that city. Heaven's court has appointed YOU as the server in that ZIP code. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 25 And without your witness — the court cannot open in your jurisdiction. That is the weight of the calling. That is the dignity of the scattered. That is why FHMI exists. We are process servers in the highest court that has ever been or ever will be. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 26 V. THE FOUR SOILS WERE FOUR JEWISH RESPONSES Most preaching on this parable jumps immediately to the human heart — and then to the Western convert. But YAHSHUA did not preach this parable in Atlanta. He preached it on a Galilean shoreline to a Jewish crowd, about a Jewish problem, in a Jewish hour. The four soils, in their first and primary meaning, were four mental attitudes among first-century Jews concerning the coming Kingdom. The Jewish Mind in the First Century Judah did not believe what YAHSHUA was telling them about the Kingdom. They had their own theology, their own expectation, their own messianic blueprint — and it had nothing to do with what He was preaching. They expected: • A Davidic warrior-Messiah who would crush Rome. • A political deliverance, not a spiritual transformation. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 27 • An immediate restoration of the throne in Jerusalem. • A continuation of their nation as it stood, only freed from Caesar. They did not believe they were sinners. They did not believe they needed a Savior. They believed they needed a general. They wanted a coup, not a cross. And the Sadducees among them did not even believe in a resurrection at all — which made YAHSHUA's teaching that the Kingdom would come through resurrection sound like nonsense to half the leadership of the Temple. Onto this hardened, layered, religiously-encrusted soil, YAHSHUA cast the seed of the true Kingdom — a Kingdom that would not arrive in their lifetime, would not deliver them from Rome, would not exalt their nation in their generation, and would only be entered through being born again in the resurrection. The four soils are the four ways Judah responded to that seed. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 28 THE FIRST SOIL — THE WAYSIDE The Hardened Religious Path These were the Pharisees, the scribes, the religious establishment whose hearts had been beaten flat by tradition. • The seed never penetrated. • The fowls — the spirits of error active in their tradition — devoured the word before it could germinate. • They could not even hear the proposition. The path was packed too tight. THE SECOND SOIL — STONY GROUND The Enthusiasts of the Hour These were the multitudes who shouted Hosanna on Sunday and disappeared by Thursday. • They received the word with joy because they thought He was about to overthrow Rome. • The moment it became clear that His Kingdom was not the political deliverance they wanted — THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 29 • The moment persecution arose because of the word — they withered. Their root was tradition. Their hope was nationalism. Their joy collapsed when their politics did. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 30 THE THIRD SOIL — THORNY GROUND The Distracted These were sincere hearers crowded out by the cares of this present world — the marriages, the markets, the trades, the taxes, the daily survival of life under Rome. • The word was real, but it was choked. • The Kingdom that wasn't coming for two thousand years could not compete with the rent that was due Friday. THE FOURTH SOIL — GOOD GROUND The Remnant A small band of Jews who were able to lay aside the Davidic- warrior expectation, lay aside political deliverance, lay aside the present-tense kingdom of their fathers — and receive the seed of a Kingdom not yet arrived. • They accepted that they would remain vassals of Rome until the time of the end. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 31 • They accepted that the Kingdom would begin small — like leaven in three measures of meal, like a mustard seed, like a stone cut without hands. • They accepted that one day — and only one day — that small beginning would fill the entire earth when the Messiah returned to rule. These were the apostles. These were the seventy. These were the women at the tomb. These were the firstfruits of the good ground. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 32 VI. THE SAME FOUR SOILS — TWO THOUSAND YEARS LATER Here is where the Two-House nature of every parable becomes unmistakable. THE SEED IS STILL BEING SOWN. The same four mental attitudes that existed among first- century Jews concerning the Kingdom now exist among twenty-first-century Christians concerning the same Kingdom. The Christian church, like the Judah of YAHSHUA's day, has built its own theology, its own expectation, its own end-times blueprint — and most of it has nothing to do with what YAHSHUA actually taught. The Modern Church Expects: • A rapture escape to a heavenly retirement home. • A personal salvation with no governmental purpose. • An already-here Kingdom through Kingdom-Now and Dominionist theology. • An individual relationship with Christ disconnected from the Law of His Kingdom. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 33 When the True Gospel of the Kingdom Is Sown Today — The gospel that says the Kingdom is a coming government... That the saints are being trained now to rule and reign in that government... That entry is through resurrection... That allegiance includes obedience to Torah... That the destination is not a cloud-city in the sky but a restored earth under the throne of YAHSHUA... The same four soils receive it the same four ways. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 34 THE WAYSIDE CHRISTIAN Hardened by denominational tradition. Cannot even hear the proposition. The fowls of the air — the spirits of error active in pulpits — devour the word before it can take root. “That's not what my pastor teaches.” — End of conversation. THE STONY CHRISTIAN Hears the Two-House gospel with joy. • Excited about the feasts. • Excited about the sacred names. • Excited about Torah. But the moment family pressure rises, the moment the church friends fall away, the moment persecution arises because of the word — they wither. Their root was novelty, not conviction. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 35 THE THORNY CHRISTIAN Believes it. Knows it is true. But the cares of this life, the deceitfulness of riches, the lust of other things, the demands of a modern American schedule, choke the word. The Kingdom that is two thousand years old and not yet here cannot compete with the mortgage that is due Friday. THE GOOD-GROUND CHRISTIAN The Remnant. The Very Few. Those who can lay aside Christmas, Easter, the rapture, the streets of gold, the dispensational chart, the sinner's-prayer- and-go-to-heaven gospel — and receive the seed of the true Kingdom. • Those who accept that they are not retiring — they are training. • Those who accept that the goal is not escape — it is rule. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 36 • Those who accept that the King requires not only faith in His Person, but obedience to His Law. These are the modern firstfruits. These are the awakening of Ephraim. These are the scattered tribes hearing the voice of the Shepherd two thousand years after the seed was first cast. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 37 VII. WHY THE JEWS COULD NOT — AND WHY CHRISTIANS CANNOT If you have ever wondered why Judah could not accept the Kingdom teachings of YAHSHUA, the answer is now standing in your own pulpits. IT DID NOT LINE UP WITH THEIR RELIGIOUS TRADITION. That is the entire reason. • Not lack of evidence. • Not lack of scripture. • Not lack of witness. Their tradition had so completely covered the scripture that the scripture itself sounded like heresy when spoken plainly. And This Is Exactly Why the Modern Christian Cannot Accept the Kingdom Teaching Being Recovered Today. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 38 • It is not a lack of evidence. • It is not a lack of scripture. • It is not a lack of witness. It does not line up with their religious tradition. And tradition will defend itself against scripture every time, in every generation, in every house of the covenant — Judah then and Ephraim now. The Pharisee and the dispensationalist are the same soil in different costumes. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 39 VIII. WHEN THE GOSPEL CHANGED, THE MISSION CHANGED This Is the Heart of the Matter. For the first three centuries the church understood itself as a government in training. The saints were being equipped to rule and reign with Christ. Revelation 5:10 “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” The gospel was the gospel of the Kingdom — the announcement of an incoming government and the call to allegiance under its King. THEN THE GOSPEL CHANGED. Slowly, and then completely, the gospel of the Kingdom was replaced by the gospel of personal escape. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 40 The mission shifted from preparing rulers for a coming government — to rescuing souls from a burning hell to fly away to a distant heaven. When the gospel changed — The mission changed. When the mission changed — The people changed. And So We: • Stopped raising kings — and started running revivals. • Stopped training priests — and started counting decisions. • Stopped studying the Law of the Kingdom — and started singing about the streets of gold. • Stopped looking down at an earth to be restored — and started looking up at a sky to be evacuated. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 41 And the seed of the true Kingdom — the word of YAHWEH concerning His coming government — fell on harder and harder soil with every passing generation. UNTIL NOW. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 42 IX. THE SOWER STILL SOWS The beautiful, terrifying, hopeful truth of this parable is this: The Sower is still sowing. He has never stopped. • The seed is still the word of the Kingdom. • The soils are still the four soils. • And in every generation a remnant of good ground receives the seed and bears fruit — some thirty, some sixty, some a hundredfold. If You Are Reading This Tonight — And your heart is burning within you... If the seed is taking root... If the Kingdom is becoming clearer, larger, weightier in your spirit than the cares of this life and the traditions of your fathers... THEN YOU ARE THE GOOD GROUND. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 43 You are part of the awakening of the lost tribes. You are the very thing this parable was prophesying two thousand years before you were born. The seed has finally found its soil. And the harvest is the end of the age. THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 44 REFLECTION AT THE PULPIT Three Questions for Every Hearer Tonight: 1. In what specific ways has the church traded the gospel of the Kingdom for the gospel of personal escape — and how has that trade shaped your own assumptions about your future? 2. Which of the four soils has your heart most often resembled when confronted with Two-House and Kingdom truth — and what would it take to become good ground? 3. If the goal is rule and reign — not retirement — how does that change what you do this week? THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. John Shane Vaughn | First Harvest Ministries International | Page 45 CLOSING WORD The first parable is the foundation of every parable that follows. If we miss the Sower, we will miss them all. The seed is the word of YAHWEH concerning His coming government. The soils are the responses of the two houses across the generations. And the harvest is the recovery of all the scattered tribes into the Kingdom of the King. Next in the Series — Part Two: The Wheat and the Tares — and we will discover that this parable, also, was about the two houses of Israel from the beginning. ✦ ✦ ✦ THE SOWER — Part One: The Parables and the Lost Tribes of Israel Rev. Summary

This teaching establishes that the parable of the sower is not about general salvation but about the proclamation of Yahweh’s coming government. It argues that Yahshua’s entire ministry was directed toward restoring the scattered tribes of Israel and issuing a legal witness before judgment. The four soils represent different responses to this Kingdom message both in first-century Judah and in the modern church, highlighting the awakening remnant as the true good ground.
