the world seems to be saved and if you ask somebody why they're saved nine times out of 10 they're going to answer like this number one either to stay out of hell or to go to heaven that's their two reasons that's two of the worst reasons to be saved if you're saved because you don't want to go to hell or because you want to go to heaven those are very selfish reasons to be saved first of all nobody is saved that is such a sad misunderstanding in the church today we (00:54) will be saved when we get saved right now we're being saved um but if you are saved because you're trying to dodge hell you are very very spiritually immature and you need to work on it you need to get get a better reason for being saved back during the Dark Ages um before the Reformation back when Catholicism was such a dominant religion in the world that they controlled even the Kings and the queens of France and Scotland and England and Ireland they had such a hold on the people that the people had no direct relationship with (01:47) God now because men had no relationship with God no personal relationship but rather their relationship was with the Pope and the church the church had to preach the message of Hell very hard hell uh became a fear that was placed upon people so that they would send their finances to the church so that they would show up to the church and so that they would mind the church they were tormented with the thought of hell this was one of the controlling factors the church used if you've ever seen the picture called Dante's (02:31) Inferno that picture was commissioned by the church it's a horrible picture that shows the Inferno of hell and men going there so this was a controlling factor that the church had to use because people had no relationship with Yahweh sadly not much has changed the church still uses hell to get people saved hell to keep people saved hell to keep people coming to church it's just hell hell hell when I first got saved I or when I first came to the altar probably came because I didn't want to go to hell then I grew up and then I realized (03:25) that if there was no hell I wouldn't change anything I would still serve the Lord I would still keep his Commandments I would still walk the way out I wouldn't change it if somebody came to me today and said brother Von we have proof positive that there's no hell I I I wouldn't change a thing because I'm not in this now for selfish reasons I'm not in it to dodge hell or to get a free ticket to heaven I'm in this because of Godly sorrow you see the Bible said that the only way to True repentance is Godly sorrow what is (04:12) Godly sorrow true sorrow is not because you're afraid of Hell Godly sorrow is when you are so remorseful for having broken the laws of God for having rebelled against his wonderful F Majesty for doing it your way for being your own God and sitting on his throne in your life Godly sorrow is truly sorry that you have broken his laws only then can you come to True repentance if you come to God for fear of hell and for gain of heaven then you have still come to him trying to get something out of the deal but what if there was no Heaven (05:08) what if there was no hell would you still serve him would you love him because he first loved you if you cannot answer in the affirmative then you are still spiritually immature there will come a time in your walk with God when you will get over hell you will get over heaven and you will have one goal and that is pleasing God that is the reason that so many people they cannot understand the Sabbath message or the message of commandment keeping because their first question always tells their level of spiritual maturity the first question is always (06:00) this so are you saying I'll go to hell if I don't do that the minute someone asks me that question I know what level they're on they're still in it for what they can get out of it no I can't answer that question whether you're going to go to hell or not for not keeping the Commandments only a just God knows that but here's what I do know if pleasing the father is what you're after he said if you love me keep my Commandments that's how you love Yahweh that's how you love God that's how you love him but you see you (06:46) may not be on that level yet of just loving him if you get nothing in return when you get to that level here's what your question will be when someone tells you about his Commandments or his Sabbath here's what your response will be is that what he asked of me is that what he desires of me is that what his word says then sign me up see at that point hell and the minutia of all the details of Eternity leave your mind because you're truly a slave to the master when you become come his bonder servant only what pleases him is what (07:35) you care about not your personal loss or your personal game yeah there's a hell and yes there's a Heavenly Kingdom that's coming to the Earth and oh it's my desire to be in that Kingdom but before that desire comes I have to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness that means his laws his Commandments if I desire those things then whatever Waits Beyond eternity I'll receive it gladly but I cannot receive eternity until I can receive a love for the truth and walk therein let's talk about hell just a moment before I go (08:30) hell is a very misunderstood word most of the time when you see the word hell in the Bible it has nothing to do with the Lake of Fire it has nothing to do with the underworld it has to do with the grave it's very simple just research it study your Bible I'll give you a perfect example one of the prophets talked about how hell was enlarging itself daily and man we just we look we used to love to preach that verse that hell's getting bigger every day God's getting ready to fill it up with lost souls and yet when you (09:18) start researching it has nothing to do with that nothing the word there is the grave the graveyard they're enlarging because so many people are dying it's getting bigger and bigger every day the graveyards sorry for yawning it's late at night here most places where you see the word hell you need to research it each word and you're going to find very few of them have to do with the afterlife now Yahweh knows everything he sees the end from the beginning and yet he says that hell the Lake of Fire was not created for (10:09) man it was created for Satan and his angels but yet if Yahweh could see into the future and he knew that man would be filling hell up why did he not make it for man there's a reason and I can't get into it tonight it has to do with our message on the eth day the last great day but you need to get over hell I don't want to go there no God know a million times no where we're going to be burn up for all well we're going to be burned up and annihilated to become a distant memory our worm will never die our our memory (10:57) um I don't want to go there no but you'll finally grow in your walk with God to where the real hell would be not spending eternity with the one that we love that's the real hell dying and eternal death never getting to experience the purpose for which you were born to live in that glorious Kingdom that is coming to the Earth so tonight I want you to reconsider why you're saved if you're saved to please the father then all of a sudden everything changes and you simply will do what his word says with no regard for Hell or (11:56) Heaven just a regard for love him all right I enjoyed my little talk with you
