Shane Vaughn Preaches LIVE "Threats To The Throne" - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qs2lpkDC8FY Transcript: (00:01) [Music] we will never bow down to your Idols or down to that image of gold those three Hebrew boys that's what they told the king went into the furnace they were thrown oh and they was waiting on the Lord to come through as the fire burned hotter than it ever had and just when it seemed like all was lost my God woo I feel the Holy Ghost tonight saying God delivers again everybody sing God delivers again when it seems like All Is Lost he reaches down his hand and then all the forces of evil have to bow down at his (01:11) command oh just when things look hopeless my God delivers again we're going to read from Mark 13 and verse 13 tonight few verses and then we're going to go and do a verse by verse study of of one of the chapters of Hebrews but I want to just quote a few of these Verses first Mark 13 and verse 13 Praise Your Name Lord before I came tonight I asked the Lord what he would have me to preach on and I just kept getting this message in my spirit so we're going to ask him to help us tonight is everybody there amen and you (02:02) will be hated by all men for my name's sake but he who endures until the end the same shall be saved not a moment before not a moment before he that endures I'm not reading now he that endures part of the way shall shall be saved y'all talk to me is that what your Bible said what what did it say he that endures end through the first six months of their walk with God shall be saved the end no he that got baptized shall be saved is that what it says no it said he that endures to the end now what is he telling us we've got to (02:56) endure being hated how't in this room likes being liked how many likes men speaking well of you and everybody liking you I just missed out on that for some reason I I've never had that but yua Jesus now if you're a visitor and I say yua that's the Hebrew name of Jesus all right same name but it's a habit that I've formed so I don't want to confuse you now he said you ain't nobody going to like you ain't nobody going to your very presence is going to make people uncomfortable right when you walk in a room Daddy he (03:50) said everything's going to change that's right listen now I've often wondered why God people are hated if you don't believe we're hated speak up for Holiness and righteousness be it your job wherever it may be and speak up for Holiness speak up against abortion or homosexuality or or or or shacking up and and preach it stand up for the word of God notice what he said you will be hated for my name's sake what does that mean my name's sake it's no it's not people don't hate you because of the name of Jesus let me (04:41) explain something to you the whole world loves sweet little Jesus all right everybody in town would not you wouldn't find nothing but an idiot in this town that would say they don't love Jesus and they just an idiot ain't nothing you can do with them people right gods of this world blinded their eyes they trying to get attention there's no such thing as an atheist in this world believe what I'm telling you believe what I'm telling you there are attention Seekers they just want to argue about something go go go visit (05:12) them on their deathbed and find out if they're an atheist Hallelujah so so why are we going to be hated well brother V it says for my name's sake but you've got to understand what a name is a name is your character yes if somebody says the name Frank Kendrick in this community they're going to speak of a character not a man per se that's right but a character if somebody mentions brother Barnett immediately his character is thought of by the mentioning of the name now you say a name in town some Mafia name or some person that does (06:02) Wicked dealings or Shady business and you say their name you think of their character or their nature the reason God's people is hated is not because of the five letters j s u s that's right no you're hated because you're living out the character of that name yes and your presence is a threat to the darkness that we live in light is never welcome in a room where a man is cheating on his wife I hope you heard me and brothers and sisters if you cannot endure being hated for his name's sake you will not be saved that's right that's right check (06:58) at Thessalonians and 4 2 Thessalonians verse chap 1 verse 4 so that we ourselves glory in you in the Churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and your tribulations that you what endure endure I want to tell you something and children of God don't you ever wonder why churches are emptying out real churches now the other churches that's got fog machine smoke and a bunch of jokes going on that's not what let me tell you if you've got a real Church where Doctrine is being preached and you (07:46) are surprised that the crowds are getting lower and lower you don't understand everybody is not enduring until the end they're not enduring the tribulation the persecu they don't like being the strange one in the crowd they can't handle being different they can't handle being separated from this world Only the Strong Will Survive and you're only strong when you're weak hallelujah amen you've got to endure yes Lord first uh Second Timothy 2 and 3 second Timothy 2 and 3 thou therefore endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus (08:42) Christ now turn with me to Psalms chapter 35 and we're going to read two verses there verse 7 and verse 19 and then I'm going to start teaching tonight Psalms 35 and7 David wrote these words it was a pitiful chapter that he wrote he seems to be in great turmoil and I want to see if you can identify with David because he loved the law of God the Bible said he meditated on the law of God day and night trying to be right with God here's what he said verse 7 Psalms 35 for Without a Cause have they head for me their Nets (09:28) in a pit for without cause they have digged for my soul my God verse 19 let not them that are my enemies wrongfully Rejoice over me neither let them wink with the eye that Hate Me Without a Cause oh Jesus how many's ever wondered why some folks don't like you I've had people that I know hate me and I have literally asked them I'm fine with you hating me can you tell me why yeah see and I get that dumb look have I done anything to you if I have I want to repent and make it right have I took do I owe you anything (10:22) let me know so that I can put you on the I owe you list like a few others and we'll get you paid have I done anything ah you ain't done nothing to me but I but but Without a Cause right without that's the most painful hate in the world Lord when they don't have a cause to hate you and they still hate you David begged God don't let them that hate me for no reason destroy me and laugh at me go with me to Matthew 10:16 and I'll close with this and then we'll go in and teach from the chapter I'm trying to get to Matthew (11:08) 10:16 behold I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves Lord be ye therefore wise as serpents but harmless as a dove have you ever felt like you're a sheep in the midst of a bunch of wolves yes where they're just salivating to destroy you yeah they want you to they want to try to convince you that you're a hypocrite when you know you're not but they need for you to be so that they're not condemned for the life they live you see you are a witness against the world Saints when you live for God when you show up to his house when you give him (11:49) his tithe when you put him first when you stand for righteousness you're a testimony against the wickedness of this world and that's why they hate you this sermon will continue in less than 30 seconds we had an audio glitch during this portion of the sermon and if I don't tell you what was said then you may not be able to follow along with the rest of the sermon at this point I begin to tell the congregation of a recent movie that we had watched about a young boy who was air to the throne in this movie The Boy's father (12:33) the king had been killed and another king had usurped the throne when they took the throne they took the young heir to the throne and hid him away in a dungeon put him in Chains kept him there because he was a threat to the throne now the seron will pick up with me telling this story about this young Heir the boys in Chains but listen this boy is in that dungeon for a reason because his father the King has just been overthrown and killed and that boy has a claim to the throne he's hated he's hated by the enemy of his (13:27) father oh sh that boy's a threat to the throne so we've got to shut him up Lord we've got to get him out of sight and out of mind we've got to destroy his mind we've got to convince him he's not Royal I but there's something Royal Blood you can put them in Chains you can put them in a dungeon you can strip them naked you can deprive them of their food but one thing you cannot do is take away their identity as royalty Hallelujah that boy knows who he is oh he may not have a throne but he's got an identity and tonight I want to tell (14:28) everyone in this room your dungeon is not to destroy you your dungeon is to remind you that hell hates you because of who you are because of the calling and the identity on your life [Applause] Hallelujah wo wo [Applause] Hallelujah hell hates you because hell knows more about you than you know oh my my right see see that little boy Daddy he really don't quite understand about everything Royal yet right he don't know how powerful his claim is but that new king does right H especially if that new king don't have an air yes talk to me (15:30) somebody the new king is always asking the guards where's that boy y'all still got him down there make him go crazy destroy his mind scream at him during the night torment him during the night you must Rob him of his identity Jesus Jesus Satan is out to rob you of your identity he's out to destroy you in your mind he wants you to think you're nothing you're crazy your faith is like a child's Faith but what he don't the let me tell you if you were not a threat to the throne the God of this world wouldn't keep checking on you trying to (16:12) see if you're still [Applause] defeated somebody here tonight is a threat to the throne I said somebody here tonight is a threat to the throne of this world you're a listen carefully got to put your mind Behind Bars to put your mind Behind Bars to destroy your very faith in God now let's go to Hebrews chapter 2 and I want to read to you what Satan knows that you don't know oh brother V I know I've read this Bible from front to back I know you have but reading it and studying it's two different things Lord that's yes Lord I want to show you now (17:13) what Satan knows about that little boy in the dungeon and your walk with god brother yes there will be many times when you'll be down in that dungeon alone and you won't understand why God ain't come by to visit you m come on there was a man named John the Baptist come on he was in a dungeon yes Lord yes Lord oh and Jesus didn't come by visit ask a question you know why John should have been in such a place he didn't need a visit from Jesus he knew who he was he when you don't need nothing but you know that you're Royal and you know that one (17:57) day soon that your father's coming to bail you out he's coming to bind you out he's coming to loose those chains that's been placed upon his children but until then endure Arness as a good soldier be a friend to the throne of this world jesusall we're going to do a verse by verse study of Hebrews 2 and I'm going to show you who you are now therefore we must pay more careful now my version is a little different than yours all right we must pay more careful attention to the things which we have heard so that in no time should we let (18:46) them slip away listen to me carefully if you're going to endure the dungeon brother barnz you can't let what you heard slip away from you yes right that's right what did you hear little boy in the dungeon well when I was a little boy I heard my daddy he was teaching me the constitution of his government when I was a little boy I heard my daddy telling me in order to be a good King I had to be just and fair I remember Mom and Daddy talking about my role in the Kingdom that I would inherit and he what Paul said it's those things that you (19:21) heard little boy don't let them slip away yes Lord they're all that's going to sustain you in the dungeon yes Lord yes Lord they all that's going to hold you in the dungeon when you don't see him coming remember these words I shall come remember what you heard Hallelujah remember what you heard and don't let them shrip away there's only one way to keep that from happening keep hearing it while you can be in the house of God keep hearing it over and over over and over amen that's right verse two for since the word spoken by Angels is (20:08) steadfast and every transgression and Disobedience receives a just repayment of reward how will we escape if we neglect so great a Salvation which Jesus having received started proclaiming and it was confirmed To Us by those that heard him God bearing testimony both with signs and wonders with various acts of power Miracles gifts of the Holy Ghost according to his own will now we're going to get into verse five and now I'm going to show you what the devil knows about you that you don't know and this is why he's got you in the (21:01) dungeon verse five for it is not to the angels that he has subjected the world to come about which we are speaking now hold on Paul is fixing to tell you something that you probably don't know you're in the dungeon for a reason your Royal Blood you've got a government that's going to be handed to you one day very soon in the world to come somebody say the world to come the world world to come now that word world is not a good translation it should say the age to come uhhuh now there's coming another day right after this one right now we're (21:48) in the Hebrew year 5890 which puts us about 220 years away I'm sorry 210 years away from the end of the 6,000 years years now after the sixth day Paul said there's a there's a another age that is coming and he said sister um Justina Christina he said to you while you're in the dungeon I want you to remember your inheritance of the world to come w right W thank you Lord praise God and he said if you'll remember what you've heard what you seeing yes won't matter right that's right that's right if you remember what you heard what you're (22:43) seeing won't matter that's because the next age the seventh day the 7,000th year the Sabbath day that the government of Messiah that is coming will not be given to the angels to govern now why is that important because the first 6,000 years was given to the fallen angels to govern the Earth right now this is important that you get this right in the beginning in the days of PAG in Genesis God divided 70 Nations and he put 70 Angels over each Nation wow that's why you have the princip Persia the prince of media the prince of (23:33) Babylon the prin every nation has a governing Angel every city has a governing Angel and the hierarchy of God and these angels are rebellious in their nature that's why the Bible said we wrestle not against flesh and blood but we wrestle against these angels right yes yeah spiritual wickedness in high places what do you call them principalities what is a principality it's a governor that's right these six days dear beloved listen carefully is under the government of angels six days God said I'm going to let those angels have control you don't (24:26) believe it what did you what did Satan tell Yeshua Jesus on the Mount of Temptation he said all the kingdoms of this world I will give them to you that's right because they were first given come on to me come on come on was oh yeah it would Happ look over in Ezekiel where Satan Lucifer was called the anointed Cher of that was placed on Mount Zion he was the governing he was the AR angel of this Earth that's why he still has legal rights here and that's why he can put you in the dungeon I'm get somewhere I'm going to (25:12) get you somewhere there's a king there's a false King on the throne of planet Earth I hope you heard me I said there's a false King on the throne of planet Earth yeah you don't believe me look around and tell me why men don't even know if they're men anymore tell me there's not a false god there's a false King on the throne of planet Earth look around and tell me with the tripping blood of aborted babies to the god moac that there's not a false King on the throne right beloved listen to me carefully oh Jesus and I want you to (25:54) hear me Satan is sitting listen on your throne right right right let me let me prove it to you what did God tell Adam when he created it I want you to subdue he said I want you to subdue the Earth right I want you to take Satan off the throne and I want you to replace him yes Lord oh my God he said subdue the Earth there's nothing to subdue if there's not an enemy Satan was on the throne of this Earth and God told Adam I want you and your sons to take over that's right and that was the plan but Adam fa Satan still sits on the (26:54) throne Adam sons all of time was was waiting creation was waiting for Adam to have a child a legitimate son my God just got one that would undo what Adam had done that's right yeah oh see because God's not going to take a rebellious Angel off the throne and put a rebellious man on the throne come on now my God I'm getting come on somebody I'm getting somewhere right now you see there's no need to remove Satan if you're going to exchange Rebellion for Rebellion oh so he said you know what Satan I'm going to give you six days to (27:41) sit on that Throne that doesn't belong to you it belongs to the sons of Adam that's right but I tell you what I'm going to do come on Jesus Genesis 3:15 I'm going to send I'm going to send son I'm going to send the boy I'm going to send one of Adam children and that boy is going to obey me every word and every deed that boy is going to obey me he's going to obey me Lord Lord hallelujah but thank you Lord but well brother B wait a minute if Jesus came and obeyed God why ain't he on the throne now I'm going tell you why (28:23) it wasn't God's God's desire to give Adam the throne it was God's desire to give Adam and his sons the right oh oh yeah it wasn't God's desire to give Jesus the throne it was his desire to for Jesus to be the captain of the Salvation of the many brothers of Jesus Christ that would take over the CR and cover throughout the next age God thank you Lord Jesus Lord Jesus was the ti yes of God thank you Lord God didn't want one little boy he wanted a whole Army of son and it had to start somewhere and it started with the first son the only (29:19) begotten son he was the power he puts him on the ground he's going to get the whole Army Sons that's why you're in the dungeon tonight Satan knows this Satan do you know the Bible says if Satan had known then what he knows now your Bible says this San got tripped up he was looking for one boy and he didn't know that God had a plan for billions of boys s looking for little bo oh what he did not know said what he did not know it was a it a it a God the Bible said Satan known then what he knew now he would have let Jesus live to a (30:21) rip old age let ha and let yes Lord thank you Lord he didn't know it was a set up thank you pilot see Satan's got a tither so he don't understand the law of tithing that's right I hope you heard me Satan's not a tither so he don't understand the law of tithing right he didn't quite understand that for a seed to grow it's got to die and be given up right my God my God my God he didn't know that my God my my CL my for a seed to grow it's got to go I said for a seed to grow it's got to [Applause] go he had to take Jesus his only (31:13) begotten son but not his only son just his only begotten son oh yeah and he put him in the ground he took that little seed son somebody say seeds seeds seed Jesus what the seeds that's right not the side listen you got to hear me what I'm telling you now he said I'm going to put Jesus in the ground and 3 Days Later what's going to come up out of the ground it's going to be the way the truth and the life what's coming up what's coming up is a way for you [Applause] like my God my God I feel my help right now I can't get I can't get a bunch of (32:09) them if I don't lose one of them that's right you can't get your blessing unless you give up the tithe God gave up the tithe of his sons he gave him to die and from that tithe oh Hallelujah came Jus yes Lord everybody in this room from that time listen to me sit down so I can preach now listen to me hallelujah thank you for the blood this is why you're in the dungeon this is why you're hated of all men not because of what you've done where you've been what kind of degree you have but Satan found out you had been washed in the water he (32:53) found out you had turned your life around he found out you been born of the spirit he found out who your daddy was he found out who your brother was and he put you in the list of royalty to Thank You Lord you went into the line of succession did you hear me you went into the line of sucession Jes to that Throne that's rightall let's finish this up so yall can go home you are right verse six Hebrews 2 for someone brought testimony in a certain place saying what is man that you are mindful of him or the son of man that you (33:48) visited you've made him lower than the Angels Woo You crowned him with Glory and Honor that's right and you did set him oh my God somebody say he set me he set you did set him who you you us over somebody say over over over the work of yah's hands oh God man you tell you what if you don't get what I'm preaching here tonight what is man yes David asked the Lord what is man we're nothing but we're we're we that you're so mindful of him mindful that you think about him yes that you love him thank you Lord you made him he's not (34:39) even as powerful as the Angels right right but yet you seem to be so engrossed with men oh god oh Hallelujah and fall in man why do you love them so much why do you care so much you why did you Crown them with Glory but most importantly God I've got another question for you David said why did you set them over the work of your hands yes what is another word for that government government Kingdom government why did you make them governors of your coming Kingdom you going to find out why you're hated tonight thank you oh verse eight (35:28) oh that first verse ought to make you want to shout that verse eight ought to make you want to shout you have put everything in subjection to [Music] men amen We Don't Preach Holiness for you to be saved come on come on but as you grow in Holiness you are practicing putting everything under your feet am amen hallu that's right brother Lord as you give up that little sin that you love so much right yeah oh k i I don't think you got to do that to be saved don't worry you're never going to be in this Throne that I'm talking about (36:18) because you're trying to get saved I'm so past being saved I said I said I'm so past being saved I found out I had an inheritance waiting on me I found out I had a promise a throne I found out I was a threat to the throne and you can believe if I'm going to live in this dungeon for a 100 years of my life and not get my Throne you lost your mind that's right thank you Lord don't ever don't ever offer me no cabin in the corner of glory land when God told me I could have he created in hallu praise God some of y'all still (37:00) want Mansions they tell you something you hear me well I have so much Authority in the next age that I can build as many mansions as you can live in I don't want a mansion I don't want a cab I want a thr I want a thr I want my inheritance [Music] my let me tell you how church people say oh brother not me I just want to make it in all the way by the hair of my chin you that's the reason you're defeated in your life that's that's the reason you stay discouraged that's the reason you backslide every 6 months is because your (37:50) eyes are not on the throne your eyes are not on your kingly inheritance that's [Music] right that's right I put everything under man now listen to me do you you know when you decide not to have that affair with that woman that was texting you when you decide not to have that affair with that man on your job when you decide not to steal this and as you walk in Holiness which is a curse word in the church today if you're walking in Holiness you're climbing you're you're walking up the King's Highway did you hear me there's a (38:33) Highway of Holiness I said there's a Highway of Holiness it's the King's Highway and N can walk up there but the pure in heart you got to be righteous to take over the thr Now read at verse eight and you put everything in subjection to man including Angels listen listen God has left nothing that is not under subjection to man but I like this last verse this last part but at this time somebody say right now right now but at this time we don't see nothing put under man and that where you and I have the problem because we are not experiencing (39:36) this promise right now right we have given up our Thrones God that little boy in the dungeon in Chains never forgot his inheritance right God's church has forgotten yes that's right her inheritance and she has given it way for a bowl of Salvation that's right it don't take all that to be saved never said it did come on I never said it did it takes all that to be holy yes Lord it Lord thankful it takes all that to get on a throne of no rebellion in your life that's right that's right I'm going to tell you something when I was a little boy have (40:25) you ever heard somebody say well that preacher is going to tell me that he's going to show me scripture and verse When I was a little boy we didn't think like that if the man of God who watched over our soul preached against something in our church we didn't even need a scripture why he was put there as a Watchman over our soul right we had a scripture obey them that have the rule over you that's right yeah right we have a scripture obey that why because mama kri I don't want one ounce of rebellion in me that's (41:07) right there are churches I go to preach at I know they don't maybe believe in a wedding ring or they don't believe I I'll take it off well oh I wouldn't do it of course you wouldn't you're not destined for the throne right you got to learn to walk in submission to the man of God the law of God the word of God so that you can get everything out of you that looks like Rebellion that's right yeah we LIF we lift it strict when I was young yeah and and I'll tell you first to tell you you can't find a lot of it in the Bible I'll be the first to (41:43) tell you that but here's what I will tell you my grandfather brother Marvin Terell there his favorite sermon if you walked in his church you was going to hear one thing every service them damnable televisions he preached against television every service we made fun of it and I was I'd be the first to tell anybody he don't have no scripture for that but he was an elder in God's church he was a Watchman on the wall yes he didn't know back then that one day Ellen would be on that television that's right that's right and convince the (42:32) world that lesbianism was okay that's right that's he didn't know that Caitlyn Jenner would be on television one day convincing your children that the abnormal is normal that's right right so no D he didn't have no scripture but he had deser right that's right he had the Holy Ghost uhhuh hallelujah oh yeah now I'll be the first to tell you in those days they preach for you know maybe they was too strict on on maybe a skirt length or or sleevely yes no scripture but little did they know in their own mind back then that this day (43:15) nobody would have clothes on hardly that's right that's right they were trying to keep God's people separate from the world that's right you know what Pastor I don't need a scripture if I'm going to trust you enough to sit down under your leadership did you hear me if I'm going to trust you enough to sit down in your church preacher preach to me preacher preach to me get sin and Rebellion out of my life hallu Hallelujah Hall we need to qualified for this thr that's right yes oh let's keep on we're almost done Jesus Jesus he said at this (43:58) time there's nothing under our feet that's right nothing verse n but we see Jesus somebody say we see Jesus we see Jesus who just like us was made a little lower than the Angels yeah right you see where this is going don't you yeah just like me and you he was a little ler than the Angels crowned with Glory and Honor because of what of his suffering death yeah in order that he through the love of God might taste death for everyone for it was fitting for him on account of who are all things and through whom are all things in what (44:45) bringing what Glory how many sons many sons to the same Glory yesah I said the same Glory my God I feel like shouting right now oh wait a minute sister Justin you're in a dungeon great so was your Lord thank you Lord it was told to him that he was going to have all things under his authority he had he didn't have the prisoner under the prison guard H his but he knew who he was that's right yes Lord thank you Lord your biggest mistake is when you forget who you are yes Lord amen that's right just like you Jesus was lower than the (45:37) Angels suffered mocked because of all this power that he was supposed to have he couldn't even take his shelf off the cross yes hated of all men Give Me One Reason Why anybody would hate Jesus but yet hated of all men why because he walked in righteousness amen that's right Holiness thank you Lord hated by hell rejected of men but yet spoke not a word when you know you're the king's side you can suffer in silence yes Lord yes Lord yes Lord I got to prove no point I said when you're the King's son you can sit down in that dungeon and (46:26) bide your time thank if you know the time if you know the time let's read so we can get y'all out of here the next verse Summary

1. Opening worship and the call to endurance — 00:01–02:56 The service opens with a song celebrating Yahweh's deliverance of the three Hebrew men from the fiery furnace. Vaughn introduces Mark 13:13 and emphasizes Yeshua's statement that those who endure to the end will be saved. He rejects the idea that an initial profession of faith or baptism removes the need for continued faithfulness. He identifies endurance as the foundation of the evening's message. 2. Hatred for the name and character of Messiah — 02:56–06:58 Vaughn discusses the discomfort that faithful believers may create in worldly environments. He explains that being hated for Yeshua's name means being opposed because of the character represented by that name. He argues that righteous living exposes unrighteous conduct. He warns that believers who cannot endure rejection may abandon their faith. 3. Persecution, hardship, and hatred without cause — 06:58–11:49 Vaughn quotes 2 Thessalonians 1:4 concerning patience and faith during persecution. He cites 2 Timothy 2:3 concerning enduring hardship as a good soldier. He reads Psalm 35:7 and 35:19, emphasizing David's experience of hatred without cause. He concludes with Matthew 10:16, describing believers as sheep among wolves who must remain wise and harmless. 4. The imprisoned royal heir — 11:49–14:28 After an audio interruption, Vaughn explains an illustration drawn from a film. A king has been killed, and his young son has been imprisoned by a ruler who seized the throne. The new ruler fears the boy because he remains the legitimate heir. Vaughn emphasizes that chains and imprisonment cannot eliminate royal identity. 5. Satan's attack on the believer's identity — 14:28–17:57 Vaughn applies the imprisoned prince's experience to faithful believers. He teaches that Satan attacks their minds because of their future kingdom inheritance. He describes discouragement, doubt, and suffering as attempts to make believers forget who they are. He refers to John the Baptist's imprisonment as another example of a faithful servant experiencing confinement. 6. Remembering what has been heard — 17:57–20:08 Vaughn begins his verse-by-verse study of Hebrews 2. He emphasizes the warning against allowing previously received teaching to slip away. He compares biblical instruction to a royal father's teaching about the responsibilities of government. He encourages believers to remain connected to the congregation and repeatedly hear the word. 7. The great salvation and the coming age — 20:08–22:43 Vaughn discusses Hebrews 2:2–5, including the warning against neglecting salvation. He refers to signs, wonders, miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit confirming the message. He emphasizes that the world to come will not be placed under angelic authority. He identifies the coming age with the seventh prophetic day and the future government of Messiah. 8. Angelic government and the present world — 22:43–25:54 Vaughn teaches that spiritual rulers exercise authority over the nations during the present age. He discusses the division of nations, governing angels, and spiritual principalities. He refers to Satan's offer of the world's kingdoms during Yeshua's temptation. He describes Satan as the present false king occupying a throne that belongs to humanity. 9. Adam's failure and the promised obedient son — 25:54–28:23 Vaughn discusses Yahweh's command for Adam to subdue the earth. He interprets the command as an assignment to replace Satan's rebellious government. He teaches that Adam failed to fulfill this responsibility. He cites Genesis 3:15 and identifies Yeshua as the promised obedient descendant. 10. Messiah and the multiplication of royal sons — 28:23–32:53 Vaughn teaches that Yahweh intended more than one son to inherit kingdom authority. He presents Yeshua as the beginning of a larger family of royal heirs. He uses the illustration of a seed dying and multiplying to explain Messiah's death and resurrection. He connects the believer's spiritual rebirth with entrance into the royal line of succession. 11. Humanity crowned with glory and honor — 32:53–35:28 Vaughn reads Hebrews 2:6–8. He emphasizes the statements concerning humanity's position below the angels, its crown of glory and honor, and its appointment over Yahweh's works. He interprets this authority as a promise of future government. He teaches that believers must understand the significance of their inheritance. 12. Holiness as preparation for the throne — 35:28–39:36 Vaughn distinguishes obtaining salvation from preparing for royal authority. He teaches that obedience and holiness develop the character required for government. He urges believers to reject sinful conduct and personal rebellion. He emphasizes that believers do not yet see everything placed under humanity's authority, but must continue trusting the promise. 13. Submission, spiritual leadership, and separation — 39:36–43:58 Vaughn criticizes the attitude that asks only what is necessary to be saved. He discusses the responsibility of spiritual leaders to guard congregations against worldliness. He recalls strict holiness standards from his upbringing, including rules about entertainment and clothing. He acknowledges that some of those standards lacked direct scriptural commands, while defending their intended purpose of encouraging separation. 14. Yeshua's suffering and the glory of many sons — 43:58–47:28 Vaughn returns to Hebrews 2:9–11. He emphasizes that Yeshua suffered death and was crowned with glory and honor. He teaches that Messiah's mission includes bringing many sons into glory. He connects the suffering of believers with the suffering of their royal brother. 15. Sanctification and shared inheritance — 47:28–49:55 Vaughn reads Hebrews 2:11–15. He explains sanctification as being set apart. He teaches that Yeshua is not ashamed to call the sanctified his brethren. He connects their shared identity with the promise of future kingdom authority. He discusses Messiah's death as the means of defeating the devil's power over death and releasing those held in bondage through fear. 16. The future overthrow of Satan's government — 49:55–51:35 Vaughn teaches that Messiah's death qualified him for the throne but did not immediately end Satan's present rule. He places Satan's binding at the beginning of the future thousand-year reign. He contrasts Messiah's present authority over the church with his coming government over the nations. 17. Messiah's help during temptation and trials — 51:35–53:30 Vaughn concludes Hebrews 2 with the description of Yeshua as a merciful and faithful high priest. He emphasizes that Messiah understands suffering because he himself endured testing and temptation. He rejects teachings that portray salvation primarily as a guarantee of earthly prosperity. He closes by encouraging believers to recognize that suffering does not cancel their royal identity or future inheritance.

Core doctrine

Pastor Shane Vaughn teaches that the hatred and persecution experienced by faithful believers are connected to their future inheritance in the kingdom of Yahweh. He argues that Satan opposes the children of Yahweh because they are destined to inherit positions of authority in the coming age. In his interpretation, the believer is not merely a person seeking salvation but a royal heir being prepared to participate in the government of Messiah. Vaughn bases the central teaching on Hebrews chapter 2. He emphasizes that the world to come has not been placed under the authority of angels and that humanity has been crowned with glory and honor and appointed over the works of Yahweh's hands. He interprets these statements as promises that the faithful children of Yahweh will eventually govern the earth under Messiah. He teaches that Satan presently occupies a throne that ultimately belongs to the sons of Adam. Vaughn describes Satan as a usurping king who knows that his authority is temporary. He argues that the adversary therefore attempts to defeat, discourage, and spiritually imprison those who are destined to replace his government. To illustrate this conflict, Vaughn recounts a story about a young prince whose father was killed by an enemy king. Although the prince was imprisoned in a dungeon and deprived of his freedom, the usurper could not remove his royal identity or his rightful claim to the throne. Vaughn applies this illustration to believers who suffer persecution while awaiting their inheritance. He teaches that the dungeon represents seasons of suffering, rejection, discouragement, and spiritual testing. These experiences do not cancel the believer's calling. Rather, he argues that they demonstrate the seriousness of the conflict surrounding the believer's future position in the kingdom. Vaughn emphasizes that Satan seeks to attack the mind and convince believers that they are worthless, defeated, or spiritually insignificant. He teaches that the adversary understands the believer's future inheritance and therefore attempts to destroy the confidence necessary to endure until the kingdom arrives. He connects this struggle with Mark 13:13, where Yeshua teaches that those who endure to the end will be saved. Vaughn emphasizes that endurance is not optional and that believers must remain faithful despite hatred, persecution, and rejection. He interprets persecution for the name of Yeshua as opposition to the character and nature represented by that name. He teaches that the world is threatened when believers display righteousness, holiness, and obedience because their lives expose the moral condition of those around them. Vaughn cites the sufferings of David and the instruction that believers are sent as sheep among wolves. He uses these passages to teach that righteous individuals may experience hatred without having personally harmed their enemies. He encourages believers to remain wise, harmless, and faithful rather than abandoning their convictions to obtain approval. He teaches that Yahweh originally intended Adam and his descendants to exercise dominion over the earth. Vaughn interprets the command to subdue the earth as an instruction to displace the rebellious government of Satan. He argues that Adam failed in this responsibility and that Yahweh subsequently promised an obedient descendant who would accomplish what Adam could not. Vaughn identifies Yeshua as that obedient son. He teaches that Messiah did not come merely to obtain a throne for himself but to prepare many sons to share in the future government of the kingdom. He interprets Yeshua as the captain of salvation who leads a royal family toward its appointed inheritance. He describes Messiah's death and resurrection through the imagery of a seed placed in the ground. He argues that Yahweh surrendered his only begotten son so that many additional sons could be brought into the same family and inheritance. Vaughn uses the principle of sowing and multiplication to explain how the suffering and death of one son opened the way for many sons to share his glory. He teaches that the present age remains under angelic government. In his interpretation, the nations were assigned to spiritual rulers during the six prophetic days of human history. He connects the principalities described in scripture with these governing powers and identifies Satan as the leading adversarial authority over the present world. Vaughn distinguishes this present arrangement from the coming seventh day. He identifies the future age with the Sabbath millennium, when Messiah will return and the government of the earth will be transferred from rebellious spiritual powers to the faithful sons of Yahweh. He emphasizes that Hebrews 2 acknowledges the present gap between the promise of human dominion and its visible fulfillment. Although everything has been placed in subjection to humanity in the divine purpose, believers do not yet see that authority fully established. Vaughn teaches that faith requires remembering the promise even while present circumstances appear to contradict it. He places particular emphasis on Hebrews 2:1 and the warning against allowing previously received teaching to slip away. He teaches that believers endure suffering by continually remembering what Yahweh has promised. He therefore stresses the importance of repeated instruction, gathering with the congregation, and listening to the preaching of the word. Vaughn distinguishes salvation from qualification for kingdom government. He teaches that holiness is not merely an attempt to obtain salvation but preparation for exercising righteous authority. He argues that a person who refuses to surrender rebellion cannot be entrusted with a throne in the coming kingdom. He presents everyday obedience as training for future dominion. Rejecting adultery, dishonesty, selfishness, and other sinful conduct becomes, in his interpretation, a practical exercise in placing rebellious desires under submission to Yahweh. He also emphasizes submission to spiritual leadership. Vaughn teaches that pastors and elders serve as watchmen who help believers identify and reject rebellion. He discusses the strict standards of earlier holiness congregations and acknowledges that some of those standards were not supported by specific biblical commands. Nevertheless, he argues that the underlying desire to preserve separation from the world reflected spiritual discernment. Vaughn interprets sanctification as the process of being set apart and conformed to the character of Messiah. He teaches that Yeshua and the believers being sanctified belong to the same spiritual family, making the faithful his brethren and fellow heirs. He connects the suffering of believers with the suffering of Yeshua. Just as Messiah experienced rejection, temptation, testing, and death before receiving glory, Vaughn teaches that the royal children of Yahweh must also endure hardship before receiving their inheritance. He presents Yeshua as a merciful and faithful high priest who understands human suffering because he experienced temptation and testing. Vaughn emphasizes that Messiah is able to help those who remain in their own spiritual dungeons. He rejects preaching that promises believers uninterrupted material prosperity and comfort. Instead, he teaches that the Christian life includes suffering, testing, temptation, and tribulation. He regards these experiences as part of the preparation through which Yahweh reveals and develops faithful children. Vaughn concludes that the believer's identity must be established by the promise of Yahweh rather than by present circumstances. Even when surrounded by suffering and apparent defeat, the faithful believer remains a child of the king and an heir to the coming throne. His central doctrinal position is that persecution is connected to royal destiny, holiness prepares believers for future government, and faithful endurance preserves their participation in the kingdom that Messiah will establish.
