Part 3 - The Parables Of The Kingdom "The Valley Of Dry Bones" Pastor Shane Vaughn Shane Vaughn ——— First Harvest Ministries International 1 Welcome to part three of the parables of the kingdom. I'm Pastor Shane Vaughn of First Harvest Ministries. Today we're going to examine the parable of the dry bones. I know you know the story if you're ever been around scripture teaching, you know about the valley of dry bones. If you're like me, you've heard it preached in every way imaginable. However, you may hear it preached today different than you've ever heard it before. What we try to do with these parables is bring it to its real meaning. In other words, what was the prophet of God really saying when he wrote these parables? 2 Let's go read it. And let's see if we can't break it down. Ezequiel 37 verse 1 through 14. Let's read it all together. The hand of Yahweh was upon me and carried me out in the spirit of Yahweh and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones. Caused me to pass by them round about. And behold, there were very many in the open valley. And lo, they were very dry. He said unto me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" And I answered, "Oh Yahweh, thou knowest." Again he said unto me, "Prophesy or preach to these bones. And say unto them, 'Oh you dry bones, hear the word of Yahweh. 3 Thus saith Yahweh Elohim unto these bones. Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live. And you shall know that I am Yahweh.' So I preached as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, a shaking. And the bones came together, bone to his bone. And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came upon them. And then the covered them above. But there was no breath in them. Then said he unto me, "Prophesy to the wind. 4 Prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, 'Thus saith Yahweh Elohim, come from the four winds, oh breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.'" So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up on their feet, an exceeding great army. Then he said unto me, "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. 5 Behold, they say, 'Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost, and we are cut off for our parts.' Therefore prophesy to them and say, 'Thus saith Yahweh Elohim, behold, oh my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you in to the land of Israel. And you shall know that I am Yahweh when I have opened your graves, oh my people, and brought you up out of your graves. And then I shall put my spirit within you, and you shall live, and I shall place you in your own land. Then shall you know that I Yahweh have spoken it and performed it, saith the Lord. 6 Amen. Most people when they read this, it is their temptation to spiritualize this. And of course, you can always read many meanings into these parables, and they make for great preaching. However, this verse has nothing to do with a revival or an outpouring of the spirit upon uh the church and the whole world and all the things that we have surmised before. Actually, this is a national prophecy for one group of people only. It's not for the Jews, and it's not for the Gentile. This is a prophecy of my people. 7 If you know your Bible, only the house of Israel and the house of Judah were ever referred to as my people, the natural descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. In this vision, Ezequiel sees a time where these bones of the house of Israel would seem to have been lost forever. He said, "I went into a great valley, huge territory, and it was full of dry bones of the lost tribes of Israel." And he went on to tell us that these bones looked like they had passed out of existence. They were dead, and guess what? Forgotten. 8 As a matter of fact, everyone considered these people to have disappeared from history. Everyone called them the lost tribes. The dead tribes. They just poof, they were gone from all of history. And Ezequiel said, "I looked and I saw them in their graves, forgotten. It's as if they no longer existed. However, Ezequiel prophesies to these dry bones, and he steps into the place of an end-time ministry. A ministry that will indeed speak, preach, and prophesy to these dead Israelites. The ones that don't even know they're Israel. They are so dead to their identity. 9 They are so dead to who they are, but it says Ezequiel prophesied, I'm reading now, and spoke to these bones, and when he did, they came together physically. I want you to notice something about this vision. These lost tribes gathered together physically long before they gathered together spiritually. That's so important because indeed, these dry bones were lost and scattered throughout the nations of the world, but then they began to come together through Great Britain and the United States of America, and they came into a great valley. Bones were connecting to bone. 10 Flesh was growing on those bones. There was a gathering happening, and it's been happening for generations. These bones have been coming together in this beautiful land of America and Great Britain and the Commonwealth nations of the world. They have been laying there as family, bone to bone, flesh to flesh. Ezequiel said, "I saw in the vision, it was two parts. In the first part of the vision, I saw the bones connect. Meaning they were coming together as tribes. And then I saw sinews and flesh grow on those bones. And these bones were in a a huge valley in their own land. 11 I saw them coming together. But then, right at the end of the vision, he gets another commission from Yahweh to prophesy again. Hallelujah. He was taking the place of the end time ministry that would prophesy again to these lost dead tribes of Israel that did not even know who they were. They were dead. They were forgotten. They were gone from history. But then it was time for these lost tribes to be called up from their graves in the spirit. Then Ezekiel called on the spirit of God. 12 The wind and the breath came into them and all of a sudden these bones that had just been dead bones in this great valley all of a sudden begin to be awakened by the spirit of Yahweh. They begin to know who they were and as a matter of fact Yahweh opened their grave to show the world that these people were not lost. They were not dead. As a matter of fact Yeshua said, "I came only for these people. I came to give them life and to give it more abundantly. 13 In this hour he is calling men and women of God forth right now into an Ezekiel anointing to speak to these scattered tribes that were all over uh the Commonwealth nations, Great Britain and and scattered all over the world now these the seed of the lost tribes. 14 But now there is a spiritual awakening that is coming right now and Yahweh told Ezekiel, "This is the whole house of Israel." And notice what he says, "When I raise them, I will bring them in to Israel to their identity." And then he said, "I will give them their own land." We believe that land is none other than the United States of America, Great Britain and the Commonwealth nations of the world. He said, "I will give them their own land and then I will bring them into the identity of Israel. They will know who they are." The word land of Israel is a euphemism for home. 15 They would return from Rome to home. They would lose their identity of Babylon and take on the identity of the land of Israel. And that is the hour that we are living in today, brothers and sisters. The great awakening is here. The tribes are being awakened all over especially here in the United States of America. Listen, brothers and sisters, you are part of this end time vision of these dead tribes. They're being awakened. This is the hour when their graves are being opened. Thank you for watching.
