oh let me give you a real quick update for this week so you know every detail what will be happening Sunday at two o'clock where we're able to go into the building so I'm asking around noon around noon for all of the men if you don't think that's it see right there if you look like that we need you if you look like that we need you if you're not confused about your gender and you know you're a man we need you Hallelujah 22 never mind Toto shut up all right I'm trying to keep him down praise God so noon Sunday every man and what we're going to do will load all the PA equipment up everything and move it over to the community center we will work all day there will be no church here Sunday night no church here Sunday night we will be working there until the Midnight Hour probably the reason I'm doing it is so we can have Monday off Monday and Tuesday without rushing so we're going to get everything set up Passover is Tuesday night at seven o'clock Wednesday morning 11 o'clock [Music] Wednesday night 7 o'clock that's 23 the first night of unleavened bread that's the night you bring your garbage bags full of all the lemon in your house and you'll leave it at the door of the community center put your little name on it so you can get it back at the end of the week so Tuesday you're going to want to go through your homes uh wait no Wednesday sorry all day Wednesday preparing for unleavened bread but listen to me please don't please don't do it out of a ritual please don't know when you're doing it why you're doing it it's a word picture it's a physical to spiritual parallel of what's going on in your spiritual 24 life as you grab that Fruit Loops that you love so much that you're not going to be able to eat for seven days and you put it in that garbage bag remember is there any Fruit Loops in your heart amen amen we don't do this for religion religion helps no one but we do it because of our relationship with God and we do it to remind us of the importance of that relationship amen so that's all day Wednesday bring it and carry it like your Santa Claus bag over your shoulder [Music] they're about one of the same 11 and Santa Claus and leave it outside the door of the community center and when you leave 25 that night you can put it in the trunk of your car and leave it there but not in your home or you can put it in a shed or somewhere now that is winch tonight at seven Thursday your day for fun friends family sightseeing you go to New Orleans you can go to Biloxi you can go fishing whatever you want to do cookouts uh Thursday night whatever you want to do Friday at 11 o'clock we're going to all go to the land and have a picnic on the lane amen and what we're going to do while everyone is there everybody we're going to dedicate the land officially with all the members of our ministry in one 26 location amen it's gonna be a beautiful beautiful beautiful and we'll have a wonderful picnic out there so then Friday night seven o'clock our speaker will be brother Greg Weidner Saturday morning will be another Clash Saturday night at six o'clock Noah we might like to say seven the reason I say it don't get dark really until seven right so let's say seven seven o'clock Saturday night will be our farewell service that will be the resurrection celebration and it will be a marvelous night of Celebration so our week is going to be quite full and that well I'm sorry the service on Friday night 27 will be here Saturday morning will be here Saturday night will be here we only have the community center Tuesday night and Wednesday night and there's a reason for that because it's 700 a day Hallelujah praise the Lord uh so Monday night Tuesday night Wednesday night over there Friday night Saturday over here no church the following Sunday night because we will be exhausted so no church this Sunday night or the next Sunday night and what time is that okay Thursday night is church security training all of you men that want to be will they be certifying or [Music] okay observation okay so if any 28 of you men need to be trained in security please be here at six o'clock Thursday night F sir anyone okay anyone tonight I I didn't want to come might as well be honest I have not been able to this has been the hardest week of my life um I didn't think it would be I thought that my grandmother would pass away I would be sad like I was when my dad passed away I was very sad but I was not out of out of chrome I was not like this and um so um I don't I know sister Tiffany can understand she lost her mother you know but see my grandmother was not my grandmother she was my mother and we were not just connected physically she was my pastor she was my spiritual foundation and she was my 40 shepherd my guide she was my standard she was my example and when you come Monday night you'll see a thousand other people that felt the same way about my grandmother so I was standing on my porch tonight staring I've been staring all week just staring just staring and I was staring at my fountain and my wife come up two men of course she knew because I all week long lasted one minute and snod everywhere the next amen it's been the hardest week of my life and I've never stared death in the face my father died but I've never [Music] I reckon Mamas are different anyway I told my wife she said 41 what's wrong I said I just don't want to go to church tonight I just don't want to and that's not because I don't love you I just have not been able to function this week the biggest event of the year is here besides Tabernacles and I've not done anything I hadn't prepared one sermon so we'll see how that turns out [Music] amen hallelujah so I thought what can I do tonight I know I'm not going to preach the house down I can tell you that but I do want to dedicate the rest of tonight service to the memory of Lois Gatlin Terrell my grandmother and I'm going to try to bring you a message that I 42 believe relates to my grandmother but before I do that a few nights ago my mother called me my real mother it's a long story but anyway she called me and she said baby Nana but what we called her is getting bad and she said you know y'all were just here yesterday but if you if you want to see her before she goes you may want to come on when we were headed to the dursties for dinner whenever we got that phone call and I I didn't know what to do because mama said I said well how long she said this could it could be days she could be like this so I said well we'll just come early in the morning 43 we'll just get up early and come but on the way back my wife spoke to me and said we've got to go now and I said well okay the way I know it was God my wife got back to the house and got dressed and packed in 10 minutes [Music] after God's moment with two little bags that's a God moment and we got to the house all my mother said during the day there had been two or three hundred people come in to say goodbye to this great Legend of the Apostolic Church you're going to hear some of her story tonight but anyway when we got there all the children were there she had 10 children and the ones that 44 are still alive was all there were several people in the bedroom where she was laying [Music] then I walked in she looked okay I mean you could tell she was going down but she looked she did have that death rattle in her throat but besides that she could last for a long time I'm saying all that to bring a point finally about two in the morning everybody went to sleep it's almost like the Lord put everybody to sleep it's the weirdest thing my mother my uncles my aunts the ones that were not asleep had left the room which was highly unusual and all that was there here's the rest of the story my 45 wife goes and sits beside my grandmother and lays hands on her and begins to sing peace [Music] and while she's in there I'm in the living room laughing and cutting up with my cousins if y'all don't know what cousin laughter is like there's nothing like it and so we're all out there just trying to lighten the moment and the door opens and a woman says your wife needs to see you so I walk in the door and there was nothing wrong with Nana she had not changed but the Holy Ghost had spoke to my wife to call me into the room everybody's asleep my wife is sitting there and she moves over so I can 46 get next to my mother my grandmother when she does I feel no urgency in my spirit I just sit there and rub her little arm the one that for those that don't know my grandmother when I was born in New Orleans in the church house literally I was born in church literally I was born in the church house my mother was 14 years old and when I came out my mother had been in labor 36 hours non-stop with no medicine liberalism that big around and I was nine pounds and so when I came out of the womb finally I was born dead I had the cord was wrapped around my neck I was black and blue I didn't cry for 47 several minutes and it was my little grandma that was the Midwife hadn't got there my grandmother pulled me out of my mother after nine months well here I am after nine Decades of her life 91 years old she pulled me out at nine months and here I sit at her bedside after nine decades and when I did my wife said honey sing to her I don't feel like singing she said say now and I rubbed her little arm and I said Nana you are so loved all your families here and by the way y'all I'm doing everything I can to not break down this is my duty not to break down so I said Nana I said you're you're 48 surrounded by love your family is here she was gasping for breath and I said we love you and then I started singing a song that she wrote many years ago I sang the first verse the course the second person the second verse she set up like she was trying to sing with me she loved her songs and when she did I put my hand behind her back and then she just relaxed in my arm and fell on my arm and she was still doing wonderful alive because everybody was gone so I just leaned in and I pulled her up to me like I bet you'd pull a baby up to your breast I just pulled her up to me and I started singing 49 the last course when I did my wife is standing right there and she says honey and I said God I said I didn't know she had left I didn't know she was gone she was in my arms and I said no no and when I the rest is history but the point is this is the song I was singing and I thought tonight in her memory I would sing it for you uh in her memory tonight I have sinned forbidden things I have done [Music] salt bitters who's Awards I've now won [Music] and I've lost everything I ever owned so empty now Lord I come sure alone but let tomorrow be a new day for me [Applause] let the sun there was no it was time to get back to work hallelujah amen and he was 56 plowing with 12 yoke of oxen before him and he with the twelve and Elijah passed by him Elisha and cast his mantle up on Elisha and he left the oxen and ran after Elijah and said let me I pray thee kiss my father and my mother and then I will follow you and he said unto him go back again for what do I have to do with thee so he put the mantle on Elisha said come now you're going to be my disciple and Elisha said well let me go kiss Mom and Daddy he said but then you ain't got nothing to do with each other what's wrong with kissing mom and dad it's nothing wrong with kissing them but there's 57 something very wrong with not following When the Call Comes when you hear truth you gotta you don't work you can't go kiss Mom and Daddy you got to follow that truth that mantle that's been thrown around your shoulder once once this delete finds you because that's what that meant to us one that wants us to leave finds you well let me go kiss my old religion let me go tell them I love them let me tell them I'm going to miss him he said you know what just stay gone while you're there because me and you I said the time is now come on and follow me now amen verse 21 and he returned back from him 58 and took a yoke of oxen slew them balled their flesh with the instruments of The Oxen and gave unto the people and they did eat then he arose and what did he do went after a man and ministered what did he do to Elijah he ministered unto Elijah that's a fancy word for served he served Elijah so when someone tells you I'm not going to serve a man that's then they don't worry about it because you that they they don't know what they're talking about Elisha said you know what I'm going to follow you and I'm going to serve you why because you brought me the mantle come on you called me into truth 59 Elijah I was just an old plow boy I was Justin on backup on I was just a Wayside dweller and one day a prophet walked by and threw a mantle on me and called me and I served him [Applause] [Music] [Applause] words the the mantle was the call see but here's what people that say that they don't see the rest of this story if Elisha would not have followed the mantle as a servant he would never have worn it as a leader he was about to be the next pastor of Israel and he didn't know it Elijah was the bishop he was the pastor and he wasn't looking for church members he was looking for followers 60 disciples that recognized the truth and he threw his bathroom in other words he took him under his wing and when he did it Elisha served him Elisha could have been like some of you said well I need to investigate you first I need to check you out first they some people don't need to check nothing out they heard a voice and they knew whose voice it was hey you hear what I'm telling you they knew the Voice of Truth when they heard it and they said you know what I'm ready let's go [Applause] I'm ready now let's go to First Kings 19. 61 and uh I'm sorry let's go to Second Kings two and eight second Kings chapter two it's a whole book later now after the boy followed as a servant two and eight the reason some of you will never find your destiny is you've never found your leader you find YouTube teachers you don't find a leader you find book writers you don't find a leader when you find a leader you'll put his mantle on you I said he'll put this mantle on you and you'll start to before you know it I you'll see God's calling to people to pick up a mantle tonight Hallelujah second Kings chapter 2 verse 8. 62 and Elijah took his mantle and wrapped it together and smote the waters and they were divided hither and thither so that the two went over on dry ground now what mantle was it that opened up the water it was the same mantle that made you a servant thus the miracle is in the mantle and you've got to understand tonight this miracle is in the mantle I want to preach to you tonight a message entitled what was in that mantle what was in that mantle you may be seated tonight what was in that mantle I want you to notice that Elisha he is the plowboy he's a nobody he came from Louisiana he came from 63 Bayside he came from Hancock County he he it wasn't nobody all he was doing was like Judy go day planting his garden just just just doing what he does and one day truth walked by and Truth gave him a Destiny and said to him if you will follow he didn't say follow God he said if you'll follow me he said I will turn you into the next pastor of Israel because many don't understand why God removed Elijah the only reason God could take Elijah to into the atmosphere was because there had to be somebody ready to take his place now the successor must not be in love with the mantle Elisha did not 64 follow Elijah for the mantle he followed him for the man the back go read it he served him when you desire to be part of the work of God for what you can get from a Ministry rather than what you can give you're in love with the mantle God is calling you to get in love with the ministry of service to one another and all this church is full of servants Hallelujah that's the difference in a student and a disciple is your love for the ministry that God called you to now prophets today do not really wear cloaks or mantles if you will but in those days your mantle was a sign of your Authority in 65 that Dominion they don't wear that anymore uh but rather the reason the prophet wore the mantle it was a sign of the priesthood okay it was a sign of his authority in God there are some people I'm going to say it now when my grandmother fell asleep the other night I'm sorry but that was not a regular Christian that was someone with great Authority and God great Authority because Authority is not granted I cannot turn to my son Tyler right now and say here you're the pastor I can't do that why he's not earned one ounce of authority the people will not receive it now you come in here and begin 66 to work among the people slave labor with us serve the ministry then what happens is you begin to escalate in Spiritual Authority when they see you on your knees somewhere in prayer talking to the Lord you begin to escalate in Spiritual Authority the problem we have in the church today is nobody recognizes Spiritual Authority and that is a dangerous thing for you when someone doesn't understand Spiritual Authority they'll think they're in Authority when they have no Authority at all authority is gained from a lifetime of service to the people of God that's where you get it from faithfulness 67 gives you Authority all right so faithfulness gives you Authority when a prophet dies the father is not going to let a prophet die without somebody ready to take his place amen why would the Lord allow his great generals to leave the earth when there's no one that's been submitted to them training under them preparing to bring that message to the Next Generation listen to me I want to talk to you tonight about what what's in that mantle and to do that I want to take you to II Kings chapter two and I want to show you something that I've never seen before and we're going to go to verse number 68 nine and I want to read this to you line by line Elijah two and nine I'm sorry Second Kings two and nine and it came to pass when they were gone over that Elijah said unto Elisha ask what I shall do for you before I be taken away from you and Elisha said I pray thee let a double portion of thy Spirit be upon me now I'm going to be honest with you I never understood why anybody would need a double portion of Elijah's anointed I understand tonight and I'm going to teach it to you why did he need a double portion what in other words are you just trying to be double better are you trying to be 69 double anointed well I mean if you get the authority of Elijah which is what the mantle of Elijah is if you gain that Authority I remember when I was a young preacher 14 years old 15 16 17 18. 70 my foolish behind thought I had Spiritual Authority I have some little young whippersnapper running around preaching and what happened uh not submitted nowhere not settled and the the listen your ministry will only go as far as your Elijah goes whoever God puts you under that's where your limit is so choose carefully who you set under and whenever God calls you he will call you with the mantle you will feel something fall on your life that just makes your life from that day forward feels so different you've been called to the ministry of the end time Elijah and that mantle is heaven I want a double portion verse 10. 71 and he said you ask a hard thing now I always wondered why would it be hard for Elijah to give Elisha a double portion the Lord spoke to me today he said it went hard it's not what he was saying it wasn't hard for Elijah he was telling Elisha you have act for a hard thing it's not gonna be hard on me it's gonna be hard on you huh you are double power devil anoint you you want devil you and that you don't know what you just put on your shoulder oh you want to go out and do what I just did and park the water don't you wait till they part your heart out of your chest talking about you why did you 72 just wait son you've asked for a hard thing but you want it if you want it I give it to you you better know what you're asking for you're asking for every detail of your life to come under the scrutiny of the Holy Ghost you're asking for every decision to become scrutinized by the word of God you've asked for a high thing I didn't understand what he meant by it I'm going to explain it just a moment I didn't understand why is it so hard for a double anointing a double portion find out the minute a minute and verse number 11. 73 10 if you said listen what he said you'd ask a hard thing but nevertheless if you see me if you're there when I die if you see me draw my last breath if you see me if the father somehow gives you enough favor to behold in me when I die nobody else could arrange for everybody in that room to go to sleep [Applause] but if you see me when I leave you can have it what if I would have waited to the next morning something told my wife go down get there Elijah's leaving she was my Elijah I had been her Elisha since a little boy I followed her around like a little shadow [Applause] anytime she won the 74 flower garden planted she had me shuffling and I I'm out there making sure my Elijah don't have to put her hand down there and do nothing I was her little Elijah all of my life I went Where She Went I preached like her I've studied like her I tried to pray like her I followed that Elijah her little hands pulled me out of my mama's womb and they put that mantle on my shoulder now now that's that's a different calling right there than the last mantle that's a calling to follow me he said if you see me at the point of my death if you happened he said I can't give it to you you're asking a hard 75 thing God can give it to you but the only way God can do it is if somehow just have to go Monday night I just happened to be there with my Elijah and I'm going to tell you about my Elijah son tonight that way you'll recognize my Ministry and understand why things are the way they are and why some why some things are about to change around here I'm trying to prepare you is all I'm trying to do I had to talk with the elders tonight about some changes about to be made why because my Elijah's Mantle has something in it [Music] [Applause] [Music] I I gotta read you something before I can get to the 76 good part oh shout out bye-bye let's go to verse 11. 77 it came to pass as they went on did you hear that they went on you couldn't separate them couldn't separate them as they went on and taught behold their appeared a chariot of fire and Horses of fire and parted them asunder and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into the atmosphere and Elisha saw it what did he tell him if you happen to be there see Elijah couldn't determine when the horses were coming Elijah didn't know maybe he'd go to the restroom and Elisha wouldn't be there right okay that's right he said you want the double portion there's got to be a miraculous moment where you should you see 78 when I leave somebody with the Holy Ghost gonna pick up what I'm preaching in a minute glory to God and Elisha saw it and he cried my father my father that's what I tell all of you that follows so many different teachers and so many different things you can call them instructors but you only got one father in the Lord until you find out who it is you'll never wear the mantle [Applause] [Music] running from church to church ministry to Ministry trying to find the next Rabbit Hole to go down you need a father in the Lord you need somebody that's earned the mantle somebody that's earned an 79 anointing somebody that's walking under that anointing so you can qualify for that mantle [Music] now he said my father my father The Chariot of Israel the horsemen thereof my wife Karen do you remember me saying this I don't know if you do I'm standing there when she died and I immediately said the horses of Israel the Chariots of Israel and the horsemen thereof you remember that the moment my mother died I said the Chariots of Israel that The Horseman there I said it three times I repeated it why because I saw Elijah when Elijah went into the atmosphere I saw it third [Laughter] he saw him 80 and he saw him no more I'll never see Lois Gatlin anymore until the first resurrection and he took home oh I want you to notice what happened the minute he saw that that he rent his own identity he knew it was time to step up he took his own clothes off it was time to wear a new mantle and his old Ministry wouldn't work anymore not under this new mantle [Applause] I'm getting somewhere tonight and you might want to hang on because when I get there this thing May blow up but Hallelujah now I want to show you something that really shook my world verse number 13. 81 all my life before I read it I thought that mantle fell on Elisha how many of you believe that he didn't follow my life watch what happened and he when he dropped the mantle he took up the mantle that fell from Elijah when Elijah went up the mantle watch it didn't fall on Elijah it just fell and at that moment Elisha there it is it didn't fall on you because there's one more test you've got to pass will you pick it up [Applause] are you sure you're ready you don't have to pick it up I got a school of profits up there with 50 preachers in there you but I chose you first it's there who wants it 82 because if you want it you get first steps hallelujah hallelujah Hallelujah he said if you want it you get first steps but you are gonna have to remember your pastor told you you asked a hard thing and if you touch that if you pick that mantle up don't think you're picking up a mantle that just Parts water you're picking up a mantle that demands the life Elijah lived you sure you want it because the mantle of Elijah was total obedience to Yahweh you sure because it's there if you want it the night my grandmother passed away I heard the Lord speak to me say it's there if you want it but if you 83 want to just keep doing your thing wearing your clothes go right ahead but if you want that mantle of law Scotland are you sure you're ready to wear it because if you pick it up it there's something in that mantle this is not some Superstition stuff he said there's something that has attached itself to that mantle and I said Lord what he said the woman that wore that mantle released into that mantle everything she was her Authority her Authority and God with great Authority comes great responsibility [Applause] and I said Lord what is that mantle he said I want you to look back over her life 84 and you'll find what's in the mantle so tonight if you will bear with me I want to talk to you about her life and I want you to see for yourself what was in that matter when Royce Gatlin was 13 years old she married her husband at 13. 85 she was filled with the Holy Ghost in Albany Louisiana at 15 years old under the ministry of Wilbur sistrunk did you know him Mama brother sistrunk ran a Revival somewhere there we can't quite by figure out where it was but my grandmother at 15 heard the message of baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ she responded to truth what was in that mantle a response to truth she responded to truth that night and then when she got the Holy Ghost she had been singing in a little cafe in Albany as a little country singer one night she was up singing If Loving You Is Wrong wrong I'll always be and 86 that's when a man walked in while she was singing he was a Navy Seaman with his navy suit on and that was my grandfather and loving him was wrong and it was always wrong she fell in love with him they married at 13 she was 13 years old and right after she married him uh after that she began she received the Holy Ghost and began to seek the Lord in Earnest and fell in love with something called holiness what was in that mantle holiness she fell out of love with the world sister Stephanie she fell out of love with the world and there's a mantle coming upon this ministry where you're gonna have 87 to fall out of love with the world it's falling upon us you're too in love with the world some of you and that's why this mantle will make you uncomfortable the holiness is in this mantle she began to serve the Lord and then she had she had children for my grandfather and her husband did not serve the Lord at that time she attended the church a Brother Ray Hudson in Holden Louisiana while she was under brother Hudson's Ministry did you hear that she was under a man's Ministry while she was under brother Hudson's Ministry she began to play the guitar and sing during the church services well the 88 word on the street was her her guitar playing and her singing would cause Revival before the Evangelist could even get up to speak she was so anointed when she took the platform what was in that mantle anointed so far holiness anointing and A Love For Truth all in this mantle all of it and while she was singing One night she began to testify and she testified so powerfully that brother Ray Hudson came to her her Elijah and said sister Gatlin the Lord is calling you to preach and she said no I'm a woman and then she said no I there's my husband doesn't served the Lord my children I got she had 89 children everywhere there's no way I can preach there's no way I can work for God like that he said okay three weeks later her daughter Cheryl got so sick she was dead literally at the point of death that nothing could be done for her and my grandmother was praying for her and she said Lord if you'll raise Cheryl from the dead I'll start a Revival Sunday night they said within 30 minutes Cheryl's fever broke and she was healed instantly and uh so there's something else in this mantle miracles what do you think when I walked in this church tonight the Lord said pray for miracles because there's 90 something in that mantle to believe me for miracles signs and wonders if you don't want it you don't have to have it you can listen to all these people say Miracles are not for today but the mantle you've been handed says it is [Applause] [Music] [Applause] and that Sunday night true to her word you started a Revival what's in that mantle true to her word anybody follow me true the whole word honesty Integrity is in that mantle she started a Revival that night brother and on the first night five grown men received the Holy Ghost she had never preached in her life never done anything and that 91 Revival lasted for 12 weeks in Holden Louisiana and people came from everywhere to hear sister Lloyd scapland preach and that night God affirmed to her her calling one day standing in a strawberry field I don't know why everybody from that area come from a strawberry field huh oh my Lord she was standing in a strawberry field yeah because by the way her and sister Kendrick pretty much grew up in the same local area there but she said I was standing in a strawberry field and I had one child on one hip and another child on another one trying to make ends meet because my grandfather was an 92 alcoholic and a partier and she said I was standing there and these words began to come in my mind and it was words to a song and it was the first song she had ever written my grandmother's written over a thousand songs uh we are kin to The Gatlin Brothers so music runs through that whole family but she began to write these words first song she ever wrote and they were so simple her songs were so simple people wouldn't sing them today they're too simple but it just said some say make ready for depression some say make ready for a war but what matters my friend is to be cleansed from sin you'd 93 better make ready for the Lord Hallelujah what else is in this battle songwriting [Applause] she stood there that day that was the first of many songs and then she recorded many many many albums that was known by everybody and everywhere what was in that mantle what's the words of that song be cleansed from sin what was in that mental Holiness again Holiness was her message it was her life it was left over in her mantle holiness separation from the world cleansing from sin separated this is her mantle as she dawned that man or she grew into it and she enlarged it and one day her husband came 94 home from The Honky Tonk said tonight I'm going to church with you brother Roy Gatlin my great my grandfather he had blue eyes and wavy black hair and she wrote a song when he left her with all those children and I'll tell you that part in a minute but she wrote a song said there's no eyes blue enough know how waved him out no love strong enough to turn me around cause I've heard of the land somewhere well there will be no care where the milk and honey flows out got to go Hallelujah her husband told her if you'll quit the church and quit following that man we'll have a good marriage follow me 95 to the honky tonkson let's go to the casino and let's live and have fun you're too holy lawyers [Music] there's no eyes [Music] no Highway tonight bye no life strong enough to turn me around what's in that battle determination to serve the Lord no matter what it costs no matter what happens I never ever turn around that's what's in that mantle right after he got the Holy Ghost they got married no they begin to evangelize and then they built their first church in Springfield Louisiana after that they begin to evangelize together the whole time he's seeing women on the side and my grandmother 96 took him back 13 times 13 times she brought him back home he would he had an anointing on his life sad thing phenomenal preacher tell you something my sons that curse runs at our family it stopped with your daddy you better know that Hallelujah you keep your families together you love your wife they they went to Bogalusa Louisiana and founded the New Life Pentecostal church that's still there today several hundred members in that church today they built that church while they were there my grandfather was cheating on my grandmother again and by the way if you've not seen my grandmother Beauty 97 ain't no reason to be cheating it's something let me tell you men something you could have the most beautiful wife in the world and you'll still want what you can't have that's a devil you got to watch out for and my grandfather just couldn't beat that devil and while they were you want to hear something while they were in that town that there's y'all don't know any of these people I'm talking about there was a preacher that come to preach them a Revival by the name of sister Peggy Richards Peggy Richards in the service turns to my grandfather who is the pastor and says the Lord says if you 98 don't leave that thing alone and keep against to tell him what God said he said if you don't the law they were building a new church my grandmother told me this and honey she don't lie they were building a church that's something else in that manner did you just hear me say she don't lie that's in that mantle they was building a church that the trust was up the two by fours was up everything Foundation was late she said the Lord will take this church down if you don't stop well brothers and sisters God is my witness yesterday the next day a wind blew through Bogalusa Louisiana so strong every 99 trust every piece of wood fell to the ground from that prophetic word that was not because God was trying to destroy God was trying to stop what he was doing [Applause] I missed them days when preachers said those things they loved you enough not to care that's when you love somebody when you don't care [Applause] amen do you love somebody so much that you don't care that's what you got to do while they were in Bogalusa my grandfather left my grandmother again and I want to tell you now she's resigned at church and went to New Orleans the City of New Orleans in 1959 and she went by herself to 100 that City with 10 children and opened a little home Mission Church on Magazine Street rented a little building she I think she told me it was a hundred and fifty dollars a month she rented that bill and began to preach and I've heard the testimonies they would open the doors to the mission and people on the streets would begin to pour into that church receive the Holy Ghost many of them preachers today because she went and did the call of God on her life and while she was there my grandfather wanted to come back and she said all right she loved the man and he came back and and the church grew 101 and then they went to Jackson Avenue and started a school and a church they opened up a washateria so all the members of the church would have places to work sort of sounds like my mantle Hallelujah she made sure everybody in the church had jobs and was working and and provided for and then he left her for the last time with all of those children whenever he did that her church began to explode even people that didn't believe in women preachers began to come because they believed in with the work that she was doing for God she was faithful and then she went to Metairie Louisiana and built a 102 church on Orion Avenue still in existence today still going strong in the apostolic faith so what was in that mental faithfulness she never moved from the message given to her which was Holiness one God baptism in his name and separation from the world she held on to that message that's in that mantle tonight she was a spiritual giant with earned Authority never wanted to be a preacher she never wanted to be a leader she wanted to be a servant but ladies and gentlemen when she passed away the other night I went after even after Karen had left the room they were fixing to zipper up in that body 103 bag and I went and grabbed her hand and I said I want a double portion and that's when I heard the Lord say do you really want it he told me think about it think about it do you really want it because her mantle every song She Wrote was about her broken heart let the sun shine and the birds sing happily every song was from a broken heart and if you ever plan to be effective for God you'll have a broken heart every day of your life [Applause] why double portion why did I ask for that why did Elisha ask for it it's real simple because my grandmother the portion she had for her day is not enough 104 for my day in her days she had people smoking cigarettes in my day I got kids killing each other in her day she had to fight a little alcohol we're having to fight things now my grandma never saw I need a double portion Hallelujah [Applause] [Music] Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah [Music] [Applause] the reason I need a double portion I need more because my grandmother she had to stand in her day against the little doubt here and there everybody pretty much went to church I now have to carry on in a world that hates God in a world that has no safe left ah yeah I need a double 105 portion Elijah I did it because the birds I've got to Bear you really did not know anything about I need a double portion Elijah thank you that's why when Jesus yahshua was going to his father like Elijah was he threw his battle down and said Greater Works than I did you're gonna have to do you need more than even I had you need a double portion that's why I'll come and fill you with the Holy Ghost because you've got to have more [Applause] what if we don't get a double portion we're not going to make it I hope you heard me if we don't get a double portion my God we're not going to make it if 106 we don't get a portion of Holiness we're going to look just like the world if we're not careful we're going to talk like them when nobody's gonna know the difference in my son there's a difference in this map oh there's a difference in this man Paul [Applause] you gotta figure out that show me you're sitting in this room you don't want no difference and you know what you're gonna eventually make your way out right but I'm gonna tell you something I'd rather go to the kingdom of God with five of you than send the rest of you to the outer city the outer courts because I didn't tell you the truth 107 if you think you can love this world and love God somebody lied to you this man will make you separate from the world it'll pull you out of the world you ain't saying amen you know why because you got to decide if you want this man talk it is power with God [Applause] I looked at that manner when she died and I said I've got to make a choice whether I keep going with my own clothes on or whether I accept the life she lived I want to show you what happened brother Von why did Elijah need a double portion because she went through something even Elijah didn't go through a few days later he goes 108 to Bethel and when he walked into Bethel you know what happened the young man was mocking the man of God Elijah didn't suffer that foreign spirits in the next age that he didn't face so he knew if he was going to survive you got to have double and when you leave Elisha you gotta leave double for them and then the next person gotta leave double for the next generation and the next one's gotta leave double for the next one and the next one's gotta give double to the next one well we gotta make it we got to make it [Applause] [Music] you need a double portion of what your mama had you need double 109 commitment double dedication you've got to have more for this generation [Applause] amen Elisha walks in Elijah's gone but before Elijah left let me show you what it did Elijah went to the river of Jordan and he did something he didn't have to do because Jordan wasn't that deep he took his mantle and he smoked the water and when he did a miracle happened they walked across when they get to the other side Elijah leaves the Lord said because Elijah needed to teach one last lesson to his protege he needed to teach him don't trust your feet to walk through that water trust in the Lord with all 110 thine heart and God will give you the Miracles that you need in your life learn to trust them [Applause] [Music] my grandmother and her dying death still wouldn't take one drop of medicine why because she believed my uncle came up to her he said Mama we're going to take you to the hospital and get you some blood because you run out of blood she looked at him she could barely talk that old Mantle still hanging from her shoulder the Lord give me blood there's something in this room called Vape for the miraculous faith for miracles we need more of it that we've ever had we need to believe God 111 more than we never believed him we need Miracles at this hour we need the god of Elijah the god of Elijah to give us together [Applause] where is the god of Elijah where is the god of Lord Scotland he's in this building and he's begging you to choose [Music] I had a preacher call me today I was at the bank I had a preacher call me at the bank he said I went praying but your grandma before she died his world-renowned he said I want you to know something I've been at the best camp meetings I've been in the greatest moves of God he said but when I prayed with your grandmother I've never felt 112 anything like it you know what that was Spiritual Authority I know before we're leaving the room and I'd run and I jump at her feet my wife was sitting there I said Nana blessed me before you leave she took her little hands oh she didn't know how to pray fancy like y'all do she didn't even know all the proper names did you hear me she didn't even know all the proper Hebrew names but she knew the Hebrew himself [Applause] [Music] said oh Lord she should pray before I got there so she really didn't need to pray her oh Lord was all the things she prayed earlier was in that oh Lord [Music] help 113 him she said help him and the last word she spoke before she ran out of breath help him walk that narrow way that was the man what's in the mantle that narrow away isn't that mental God is calling you tonight to pick up the mantle of the narrow way separation from this world Holiness under the Lord Miracle signs and wonders dedication commitment no looking back no turning back no turn it around it's yours if you want it it's yours if you want it [Applause] I want you to hear me tonight I decided I'm gonna tell y'all I made a choice sister Tess I said yes Lord I want it I don't care how much 114 they talk about me I want it the Lord said when you take this mantle you're gonna have to grow into it I said what do you mean he said if you don't if your life don't start looking like hers I'll have to take it and give it to somebody else I said well what I need to do Lord he said just see what was in the mountain and just it's our moment I said it's our moment first harvest we go to the next level in God
