TOTO TONIGHT with Professor Toto Where the Republic Meets the Word TUESDAY, AUGUST 25, 2026 | FULL SHOW SCRIPT SEGMENT 1 — WELCOME &  OPENING Duration: ~4 min [ THEME MUSIC UP — HIGH ENERGY — 20 SECONDS ] [ MUSIC FADES UNDER ] Good evening, America — and stand by for the TRUTH. I'm Professor Toto — the Connoisseur of Common Sense, the Watchman of We the People, the Mayor of Meaning — broadcasting to you LIVE from the marbled halls of Toto- Town, high atop the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, on the FREEDOM FREQUENCY. Where tomorrow's news is TODAY — and where the Republic meets the Word. And I am wielding, as always, the Titanium Mic of Magnanimity. You have picked the right station, Class. Stay with me. Now — before we take one single step into the news of this day, your professor has some family business. And it is GOOD business. Because the announcements tonight are personal, and one of them comes straight from the Vaughn household. So let's go there first. [ TRANSITION STING ] SEGMENT 2 —  ANNOUNCEMENTS Duration: ~5 min [ SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT STING ] A NEW ARRIVAL — WELCOME, BABY VAUGHN [ SHOW GRAPHIC: BABY VAUGHN — GRANDCHILD NUMBER SIX ] Family — with a full and thankful heart, I get to tell you that Heaven opened its hand this week and gave the Vaughn family our SIXTH grandchild. A handsome little fella — Baby Vaughn, and the name is coming soon, so stay tuned for that. A huge congratulations to the proud mom and dad — Nicholas Tyler and Alyssa Vaughn. This child is a beautiful gift from Heaven, born into our family, and we could not be more grateful to the Almighty for him. Grandma and I cannot WAIT to get back home so we can hold him. You pray for that little one tonight, Class. A new soul, a new arrow in the quiver, and a brand-new reason to keep fighting for the country he's going to inherit. PREACHING THIS SATURDAY — TELLICO PLAINS, TENNESSEE [ SHOW GRAPHIC: TELLICO PLAINS, TN — LIVE PREACHING THIS SATURDAY ] And this is also personal. THIS SATURDAY, I will be in TELLICO PLAINS, TENNESSEE, preaching the Word. If you are anywhere within driving distance of that beautiful corner of East Tennessee, I want to see you there. Come worship. Come reason together. Come lay eyes on this family in the flesh and let me shake your hand. Details are on your screen. A WORD ABOUT TONIGHT'S SHOW — AND MY VOICE Now let me tell you something straight, the way I always do. You may notice the show is a little tighter tonight. We are moving from two hours to ONE hour, for a season — and I want to be honest with you about why. I have been navigating some vocal paralysis. It is a real thing, and I am handling it the wise way — by protecting this instrument the Almighty gave me to preach and to teach, so that I can keep doing BOTH for a long time to come. So we are going to do one powerful hour, tight and full of fire, and we are going to preserve this voice for the long war, not just tonight's battle. I thank you for understanding, and I covet your prayers. And the long-form teaching lives first on the Substack — professortoto.substack.com. Subscribe. It's free. [ TRANSITION STING ] SEGMENT 3 — BREAKING  NEWS Duration: ~15 min [ NEWS BREAK SOUND EFFECT ] STORY ONE — FAREWELL TO DOLLY PARTON [ SHOW GRAPHIC: DOLLY PARTON — 1946–2026 ] Class — we begin tonight not with a fight, but with a farewell. Close your eyes for just a moment and go there with me. Go back to a holler in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. A one- room cabin up on Locust Ridge, tin roof, a wood stove, no running water. A front porch looking out over blue ridges that roll on farther than a child's eye can follow. Winters up there were hard and long — the kind of cold that gets in the walls — and the summers were green and thick and alive. Twelve children in that little house. Dirt poor. And in the evenings, when the work was done, that family did what mountain families had done for two hundred years. They sat out on that porch, and they SANG. Because they had almost nothing else to give each other — but they had the songs. Hymns and ballads carried over the ocean from the old country, and new ones made up right there on the spot about heartbreak and hard times and the hope of Heaven. That is the world that made Dolly Parton. And I want you to hold that picture — the porch, the ridges, the singing in the dark — because today, Class, that world lost its last great voice. Something CLOSED today. Not just a life — a CHAPTER. Today, August the 25th, 2026, Dolly Parton went home at the age of eighty. And when she went, she took the last light of an entire era out with her. Think about who has already gone on ahead of her. Patsy — gone. Loretta — gone. Tammy Wynette — gone. Merle Haggard — gone. Johnny Cash — gone. George Jones — gone. Willie Nelson is still with us, and thank YAHWEH for that, you hang on, Willie. But that world — that Appalachian world of front porches and hard winters, of songs written by hand because there was nothing else in the house to give away — that world just lost its LAST great voice. The classic country era did not fade out tonight, Class. It was buried. Dolly was the final note of a song America had been singing since before most of us were born, and now the record has stopped spinning. And what a life she pulled out of nothing. From that cabin with the dirt floors and nothing in her pockets but a voice God put there, she built a catalog the world will sing for a hundred years, a theme park, and a children's library program that has put more than two hundred and fifty MILLION books into the hands of little ones who had none. She wrote "I Will Always Love You" and "Jolene" on the SAME DAY. The same day, Class. And she did something rarer than any hit record. In an age that pays people to be cruel, Dolly Parton was KIND — and she stayed kind for sixty years without a single break in it. She never used her platform to wound. She brought JOY into a world that is starving to death for it. Whatever else anyone says about her, let them say THAT. [ SHOW GRAPHIC: PRESIDENT TRUMP'S PROCLAMATION — HONORING DOLLY PARTON ] And tonight the President of the United States, Donald Trump, has ordered the American flag lowered in her honor — calling her one of the greatest country singers, and far beyond, ever. He wrote, and I quote him: "There has never been anyone like her, and never will." And on that, Mr. President, this whole nation agrees with you. So we say it plainly here in Toto-Town: rest in peace, Dolly. You loved the Lord, you loved the poor, and you loved this country. Now let your professor step out from behind the news desk for just a moment — because there is something about this woman's passing that you will not hear from a single other pulpit in this country, and I have to say it. Within hours of her last breath, the church did what the church always does. It started to SORT her. And the verdict came down from a thousand pulpits and a hundred thousand comment sections: Dolly went to Heaven, or Dolly went to Hell. Two doors. Pick one. No third option, and no appeal. Now hear me, Class — I know that machinery. I SERVED it. For years I stood in a pulpit and handed people those same two doors, because I did not know there was anything else in the building. And then I actually READ what the Scriptures say about the resurrection. Not what I'd been handed. Not what the tradition assumed. What is WRITTEN. And what is written is not two doors. It is a SEQUENCE. The Word does not teach that every soul is sentenced the instant the breath leaves the body. It teaches resurrections — PLURAL — in an order, in appointed seasons, under a righteous Judge who does not lose a single soul in the paperwork. YAHWEH is not running a turnstile, Class. He is running a HARVEST. And a harvest has stages. And understand what that truth did to me — it did not lower my view of judgment. It RAISED my view of YAHWEH. Because the god of the two-door system has to consign the overwhelming majority of every generation that ever drew breath to eternal torment for the crime of being born in the wrong century, or the wrong village, or the wrong pew. The God of the SCRIPTURES does no such thing. YAHSHUA did not come to salvage a scrap from a failed project. He came to FINISH what the Father started. And He does not lose. So if you are grieving today — for Dolly, or for someone a great deal closer than Dolly — hear your pastor. The question is not whether your loved one made it through the right door before the buzzer. The question is whether YAHWEH is FAITHFUL. And He is. The dead are not lost. They are ASLEEP — and there is a trumpet coming, and the One who holds the keys of death has never once failed to open what He said He would open. I wrote a whole book on exactly this — on what the Scriptures actually teach about the resurrections, the order they come in, and why the two-door gospel was never the gospel at all. It is called RESURRECTING THE RESURRECTION, and it has set a lot of people free from a fear they were never meant to carry. If today has you asking the question, go find it on Amazon — search RESURRECTING THE RESURRECTION by Shane Vaughn. [ SHOW GRAPHIC: RESURRECTING THE RESURRECTION — SHANE VAUGHN — AMAZON ] Rest in peace, Dolly. The mountains you sang about are still standing. And so is the God who made them. [ DRAMATIC PAUSE ] STORY TWO — TRUMP DRAWS THE LINE AT HORMUZ [ SHOW GRAPHIC: TRUMP WARNS IRAN — STRAIT OF HORMUZ ] Now from a farewell to a firm hand. President Trump has announced that the United States Navy has cleared and detonated the mines in the Strait of Hormuz — that narrow neck of water where a huge share of the world's oil has to pass — and he issued a blunt warning to Iran. Any attempt to lay NEW mines in that strait will be met with an immediate United States military response. Now understand what that is, Class. That is not a speech. That is not a strongly worded letter from a striped-pants diplomat. That is a President drawing a red line and standing on it — and unlike the last fellow, when THIS President draws a line, the world has learned to believe him. Iran has spent forty years using that strait as a hostage — threatening to choke the world's oil to blackmail the West. And the message tonight from the American Navy is simple: those days are over. You touch that water, you answer for it. Peace through strength. It works every single time it's tried. STORY THREE — A STARBASE ON THE GULF COAST [ SHOW GRAPHIC: SPACEX STARBASE — VERMILION PARISH, LOUISIANA ] And here is one to lift your head up. It is official — SpaceX is bringing a Starbase to the Gulf Coast. Right up the road from Toto-Town, in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana, near Pecan Island. The numbers are staggering. They are describing it as a ONE HUNDRED BILLION DOLLAR investment. Construction starts in 2027, the first launch is targeted for 2029, and this is not just a launch pad — they are talking about propellant production, power generation, deep-water shipping, Starship processing, and its own airport. Designed, eventually, to support THOUSANDS of Starship flights a year. Now here is your professor's insight. While the rest of the world is arguing about pronouns, American free enterprise is building the road to the stars — on the GULF COAST. This is what a confident nation does. It looks up. It builds. And the Gulf Coast — our Gulf Coast — is about to become the launch pad for the future of the human race. Not bad for our little corner of the map. STORY FOUR — RAID REVISITED [ SHOW GRAPHIC: DOJ REVISITS THE 2022 MAR-A- LAGO RAID ] And now the wheel turns. Reuters reported this week — four sources, first surfaced by the Associated Press — that the Department of Justice has requested to interview the FBI officials who were involved in the 2022 raid on President Trump's Mar-a-Lago home. It is part of a wider probe examining the past investigations of the president — and the reporting says investigators are working to establish whether Trump was the victim of a criminal conspiracy against his rights. Now let your professor give you the honest ledger, because that is how we do it here. No charges have been announced. It is not proven that the search was unlawful, and this is at the stage of voluntary interview requests, not indictments. I tell you that up front. But hear me. For years they told you it was UNTHINKABLE to question the men who raided a former president's home. Those men were beyond scrutiny. Sacred. Untouchable. And now, at long last, the same question every honest American asked in August of 2022 is finally being asked by the people with subpoena power: who ordered it, how was it authorized, and was it done to a man because of who he was? The watchmen are finally being watched. And that, Class, is not revenge. That is accountability — the thing a Republic cannot live without. [ TRANSITION STING ] A WORD OF PRAYER — NASHVILLE [ SHOW GRAPHIC: PRAY FOR THE FAMILIES — NASHVILLE ] Before we go on, we stop. Because down in Nashville, Tennessee, something happened that ought to break every heart in this country. Four patients walked into Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown on August the 14th for routine joint-replacement surgeries — knees, ordinary procedures, people who expected to be home by supper. And because of what the hospital has called a pharmacy medication error, they were given a potassium solution instead of their anesthetic. At least two of them have been left paralyzed. A seventy-two- year-old grandmother named Glenda Dorton is paralyzed from the chest down as I speak to you. The state has opened an investigation. I am not going to make a joke of that, Class. There is no politics in it. There is only a family standing in a hospital hallway tonight whose whole world changed over a mislabeled vial. So let's do the one thing that actually matters. Let's give them a moment. [ HOLD — A MOMENT OF SILENCE — 10 SECONDS ] Father, we lift up Glenda Dorton and every family in that hospital. Lay Your hand where the doctors cannot reach. And remind us all how fragile this life is, and how much we need You in it. In Yeshua's name — amen. [ REVERENT STING OUT ] SEGMENT 4 — I TOLD YOU ✅ SOOOO Duration: ~8 min [ I TOLD YOU SO STING ] THE SUPREME COURT CLEARS THE WAY ON MAIL-IN VOTING [ SHOW GRAPHIC: SCOTUS 6–3 — TRUMP CLEARED TO MOVE ON MAIL-IN BALLOTS ] Now let your professor do a little something he has EARNED the right to do. Let me say it. I — TOLD — YOU — SO. This week, the Supreme Court of the United States handed President Trump a major victory on mail-in voting. In a six-to-three ruling, the Court moved to allow the President to implement key portions of his executive order restricting mail-in ballots — clearing a roadblock that a pack of Democrat-controlled states had thrown up to stop him. And here is what that unlocks. The Court's move permits the Department of Homeland Security to compile a federal list of eligible CITIZENS and share it with the states. It lets the Attorney General prioritize the prosecution of state officials who mail ballots to ineligible voters. And it green-lights the Postal Service to move forward with its new rule. Now let me tell you what is IN that Postal Service rule, because this is the machinery, Class. Under the finalized rule, any state that wants the Postal Service to carry its mail-in ballots must submit the voter's name and home address into a federal ballot portal — and every ballot gets a unique tracking barcode, on the way OUT and on the way BACK. And if a state refuses to comply? The Postal Service will not deliver ballots there. Name, address, tracked, verified — or no ballot. That is what election integrity looks like when it finally grows teeth. And the White House said it perfectly back when this fight started: "Only Democrat politicians and operatives would be upset about lawful efforts to secure American elections and ensure only eligible American citizens are casting ballots." Now watch the meltdown, because it tells you everything. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, in her dissent, accused her own colleagues of sowing chaos on the eve of the election. Chaos? CHAOS? Putting a barcode on a ballot and asking a state to confirm a name and address is chaos now? Class — the only people who panic when you lock the door are the people who were planning to sneak in. Ask yourself WHY one party melts down over a tracking barcode. Innocent people do not fear a clean ballot. Here is the honest ledger, because we always give it, and it is the reason you can trust me when I crow. This war is not over. A second court challenge is still standing, and the justices did NOT rule on whether the rule is ultimately legal — they cleared the path, they did not end the journey. And understand this too: the rule does not make YOU register with the Post Office or hand over your own information — that falls on the states, not the citizen. I tell you all of that up front. But the direction is set, and the direction is toward CITIZENSHIP, toward VERIFICATION, toward the clean rolls I have been promising you were coming for a solid year. The door they bolted shut just got kicked open this week. I told you so. [ TRANSITION STING ] SEGMENT 5 — DEEP DIVE:  SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON NATALIE HARP Duration: ~12 min [ DEEP INSIGHTS THEME ] Class — I am sick and tired of watching the Left destroy good people and get away with it. So tonight, your professor is going to set one record straight. Her name is Natalie Harp. [ SHOW GRAPHIC: NATALIE HARP ] Let me tell you who this woman actually is, because the media that's smearing her tonight sure won't. Natalie Harp is thirty-five years old. And she is a bone-cancer SURVIVOR. She battled stage- two bone cancer through most of her young life. And then, on November the 9th, 2015, a medical error left her severely ill — housebound, in a wheelchair, in extreme chronic pain, in her early twenties. She failed two rounds of chemo. She was DENIED clinical trials. Her options were running out and her quality of life was collapsing. And then she found an oncologist willing to try an FDA-approved immunotherapy drug for an unapproved use — and she credits her recovery, her ability to even reach for that experimental option, to the federal "Right to Try" Act that President Trump signed into law in May of 2018. Think about what that law is, Class. Right to Try says that a dying American does not have to get permission from a federal bureaucrat to fight for their own life. That a terminal patient can try a treatment that might save them without asking a clipboard in Washington for a hall pass. Natalie Harp is what that law looks like when it works. She is ALIVE because of it. So in June of 2019 she wrote a post praising the President and that law, she told her story on television, and the President heard it and called in. He was moved by her. He invited her to speak — at the Faith and Freedom Coalition, and later at the 2020 Republican National Convention. She joined his campaign's advisory board. She worked as a broadcast host. And in 2022 she joined his team, where she has served faithfully ever since. Now — here is where I plant my flag. Senator Jon Ossoff and a chorus in the leftist media are trying to take this woman's faithful work for the President and twist it into something ugly. And I want you to notice what they're actually attacking. They're not attacking her RECORD — she has multiple degrees. They're not attacking her CHARACTER — she is a devout Christian who beat cancer and now serves her country. No. Look closely at the smear, and here is what you'll find underneath it: they looked at an accomplished, educated, faithful woman who survived what would have killed most people — and the only thing they could see, the only thing they could reduce her to, was that she is young and she is pretty. That tells you EVERYTHING about them, and NOTHING about her. If Natalie Harp were plain, if she were forgettable, they would not say one word. It is the accomplished Christian woman they cannot stand — so they reach for the one attack that says more about the smallness of their own hearts than anything else. They cannot beat her testimony. So they try to cheapen her. Not on this frequency. Not tonight. Natalie Harp beat cancer, she honors her God, and she serves her President — and your professor is proud to set that record straight in front of the whole class. [ TRANSITION STING ] SEGMENT 6 — DEEP DIVE /  THE PROFESSOR'S PLAY: FIVE WORDS Duration: ~8 min [ DEEP INSIGHTS THEME ] Now let your professor take off the news- reader's hat and put on the strategist's hat — because I told you weeks ago what is coming, and after what the Supreme Court just did, I am going to say it again, plainly, so there is no mistaking it. You just heard the good news. The Court cleared the path. But you also heard the honest ledger — one injunction is still standing, and the deeper legality fight is not settled. So the machinery is greenlit, but a lone judge and a slow calendar could still run the clock out before November. And the SAVE Act — the photo ID, the proof of citizenship — is still stuck in the Senate. So here is the strategist's question. If the courts drag their feet and the Senate keeps stalling, what does the President do? Well, he has already told you himself. Asked in an August interview whether he would declare a national emergency if the Senate would not pass the SAVE Act, President Trump said — and I quote him — "Let me just say that stranger things have happened, OK? I'll leave it at that." Stranger things have happened. Write that down. So let me give you five words to remember: NATIONAL — SECURITY — EMERGENCY — FOR — ELECTIONS. Now understand, this next part is your professor's read and your professor's counsel — this is what I believe MAY be coming and what I believe the Democrats fear most. Watch their behavior, because behavior is the tell. They do not melt down over everything. But every single time this idea gets mentioned, they lose their minds. Why? Because they know what it does. Think it through with me. What are the three things that stop a stolen election? Voter photo ID. Proof of citizenship. And limits on the mail- in ballot flood. Put those three things in place — all three — and the cheating STOPS. And they know it stops. That is why the mere mention of a national-security framework for election integrity sends them into orbit. Here is my message to the President, free of charge, from the Titanium Mic of Magnanimity: the American people are with you on this. Photo ID — the vast majority want it. Proof of citizenship to vote — the vast majority want it. Clean rolls — the vast majority want it. This is not a fringe position, Class. It is the most popular position in American politics that the media refuses to poll honestly. They will scream. They will call it fascism — they call everything fascism. But securing the vote of the American citizen is not fascism. It is the FOUNDATION. And a Republic that will not defend its own ballot box has already agreed to lose it. Do it, Mr. President. First and right. We win in the end. [ TRANSITION STING ] SEGMENT 7 — THE PEPTIDE  REPORT Duration: ~3 min [ TOTO'S DROPS STING ] [ PLAY: PEPTIDE COMMERCIAL ] Class — let me talk to you for a quick minute about taking care of the temple. Your body is the only one you get, and a lot of you have written to tell me how much better you are feeling since you started taking Toto's Drops. Folks are telling me they feel more like themselves again — more energy in the morning, a clearer head, a better mood, a little more spring in the step. That is what we're after. Feeling like the person the Almighty made you to be, ready for the work He put you here to do. And Class, the testimonies keep coming. One dear sister wrote to tell me she had struggled with neck pain for three years — chiropractors, living on over-the-counter pain relievers — and since she started the drops, she has been able to get off of them, and she told me she has been feeling wonderful for almost two weeks. To Yahweh be the glory. Now hear your professor plainly, because I love you and I will always tell you the truth: these drops are for your wellness — they are not a substitute for your doctor, and if you are on a prescription, you do not change one single thing without talking to your physician first. You take care of that temple the wise way, WITH your doctor, not around him. But when I hear a testimony like that one, it makes me so happy — and I want you to see for yourself what this whole family is already raving about. Go to totosdrops.com. That's TOTOSDROPS.com. Feel the difference for yourself. [ TRANSITION STING ] SEGMENT 8 — THE  MONOLOGUE: WHERE'S THE BEEF Duration: ~15 min [ MONOLOGUE TRANSITION — MUSIC DOWN ] MONOLOGUE TITLE: WHO REALLY SETS THE PRICE OF YOUR BEEF Class — pull your chair close, because tonight I have to talk to you about a family fight. And I mean OUR family — the MAGA family. Because last week, President Trump did something that made a whole lot of his own people angrier at him than I have seen them in a long time. He announced a deal to temporarily lift the tariffs on imported ground beef — up to three hundred thousand metric tons of foreign beef coming in with no tariff — and he promised it would bring the price of hamburger down twenty-five percent for the American family at the grocery store. And his own side came UNGLUED. This was not the Democrats yelling at him, Class. This was his OWN people. Senator Tim Sheehy of Montana — a strong ally of this President — said he had advised the President AGAINST it, and warned that it would further harm American ranchers, and then he said the part that stuck: those ranchers, he said, are "most of whom are MAGA Republicans." Senator Deb Fischer of Nebraska said she was "extremely disappointed." Rancher after rancher, cattlemen's association after cattlemen's association, lined up to say the President just stuck a knife in the very people who put him in office. So I watched all of that this week, and I had a decision to make. Because your professor does not do knee-jerk. I love this President — and I love the American rancher. So when I see the two of them at war, I do not pick a team and start throwing rocks. I go find out what is ACTUALLY going on. And what I found is a story that almost nobody — on either side of this fight — is telling you correctly. So let me start where you have to start. With a question that sounds simple, and is not. Who sets the price of your beef? Most of you picture a rancher. A man in a hat, raising a cow, trucking it to town, and the store selling it to you. Simple. Honest. American. That is not remotely how it works. And once I show you how it ACTUALLY works, you are going to understand this beef the President has with the ranchers — and why I believe BOTH sides are half right, and the real villain is standing in the middle where nobody's pointing. PART 1 — THE MAN WHO CANNOT NAME HIS PRICE Here is the truth almost no one has ever told you, and it is the key to this whole thing. The American rancher does not set the price of beef. Not the price you pay at the store. Not even the price HE gets for his own animal. Let me show you his business, because most people have it completely wrong. The rancher — we call him the cow-calf man — keeps a herd of mother cows. Every spring those cows have calves. He raises each calf out on grass, alongside its mother, for six, seven, eight months. He carries that animal through everything — through the drought when the grass burns up, through the blizzard when he's out at two in the morning pulling a calf in the snow, through the disease and the predators and the vet bills. And then, when the calf is weaned, he loads it on a trailer and he hauls it to the sale barn. And now watch what happens, Class, because this is the part that'll make you sit up. He backs that trailer up to the auction ring. The calves run through. And men sitting in the seats decide, that morning, what those calves are worth. He does not put a price tag on them. He does not negotiate. He takes what the ring gives him that day. If the market's down that morning — he EATS it. There's no list price. No catalog. No "well, I'll hold out for a better offer." Whatever the gavel says, that's what he gets, and he loads up and drives home. The economists have a name for a man like that. They call him a "price taker." He takes the price the market hands him and he has no say in it whatsoever. And I want you to understand — the American rancher is the PUREST price taker left in this entire economy. He is the one man in this whole chain who carries a living, breathing animal through five years of risk and weather and heartbreak — and he has the LEAST power over the price of anybody who will ever touch that beef. Hold onto that. It matters more than anything else I'm going to say tonight. PART 2 — WHERE THE MARKET STOPS BEING A MARKET So if the rancher doesn't set the price — who does? Let's follow the animal up the chain, because there are FOUR businesses between that calf and your dinner plate, and the man who raised it is the weakest one of the four. Stage one is the rancher we just met. He sells that weaned calf. Stage two, it goes to a feedlot. Now the feedlot is a totally different animal, if you'll pardon me. They take that five-hundred-pound calf and they feed it out on grain until it hits finish weight — twelve, thirteen, fourteen hundred pounds. That takes months and a mountain of feed, and the feedlot makes its money on the spread between what it paid for the calf and what it gets for the finished steer. And the feedlot doesn't set the final price either. It sells to the packer. And stage three — the packer — is where the American beef industry STOPS being a market and becomes something else entirely. Because here is the fact that explains this whole crisis, and I want you to write it down. FOUR companies — JBS, Tyson, Cargill, and National Beef — control roughly EIGHTY-FIVE PERCENT of all the beef processing in the United States of America. Eighty-five percent, in four sets of hands. Now here's your history lesson. In 1980, the top four packers controlled about thirty-six percent. Thirty-six. Today it's eighty-five. Sit in that number, Class. In one generation, four companies went from a third of the market to nearly ALL of it. And now the part that should light a fire in you. TWO of those four companies are FOREIGN owned. JBS is Brazilian. National Beef is controlled by Marfrig — also Brazilian. So two of the four companies that sit in judgment over what an American calf is worth are headquartered in South America. Let that sink in. So picture that feedlot in Kansas with a pen full of finished cattle ready to sell. How many buyers does he actually have within trucking distance? One. Maybe two. That is not a market, Class. A market is many buyers and many sellers bidding freely. What we have is a counter with a sign on it and a foreign company standing behind it saying "take it or leave it." And the rancher, way back at the front of that line, has NO power in that transaction at all. He's the first one in and the last one paid. PART 3 — WHY THE HERD DIDN'T GROW, AND WHY IT ISN'T HIS FAULT Now — this is the President's real complaint, and I want to deal with it honestly, because it deserves a real answer. Mr. Trump looked at the ranchers and basically said: I gave you tariff protection, I gave you the best cattle prices in twenty years, and the American herd got SMALLER anyway. Why didn't you rebuild? Why didn't you grow the herd? That's a fair question. So let me give you the answer the ranchers can't get on television to say. There are three walls standing between that rancher and a bigger herd. Three. And he did not build a single one of them. Wall number one is the money. For twenty years the American rancher got beat up. Then finally, finally, the prices got good — and at the exact same moment, the cost of EVERYTHING exploded. Fuel. Feed. Fertilizer. Equipment. Parts. Labor. Vet bills. Land. And interest rates — the cost of borrowing money — shot up right when he'd need to borrow to expand. And here's the cruel trap inside it: to grow your herd, you have to KEEP your heifers back for breeding instead of selling them. But every heifer you keep is a paycheck you DON'T cash today — at the best prices in a generation — and then you pay to feed her for two more years before she gives you a single calf. So the better the price gets, the more it COSTS you to hold her back. High prices make expansion more profitable and less affordable at the very same time. That's not laziness, Class. That's a vise. Wall number two is the generation. The average American rancher is pushing sixty years old. Sixty. And a whole lot of them have no child coming home to take over the place. Now you go tell a sixty-year-old man with no heir to borrow a fortune he'll spend the rest of his life paying back, to build a herd he'll never live to see mature, for nobody. A herd is not a stock you flip. It's a legacy. And you do not break your back building a legacy for an empty chair. And wall number three — this is the one nobody in Washington will touch. You cannot grow a cow herd without GRASS. And across the American West, the grass is being shut down by LAWSUIT. A huge share of Western ranching runs on federal grazing land that ranchers lease — that's how the West was built. And environmental groups have figured out they can sue, over and over, to shut that grazing down. An agency does the studies, spends the taxpayer money, writes the plan to let cattle graze — and gets sued. Sometimes they lose on a technicality, so they redo it all, and get sued AGAIN. Until millions of acres of good American grass sit there empty behind a court order — while we import beef from Brazil to feed our own people. You cannot tell a man to grow his herd and then padlock his pasture. And that is EXACTLY what we are doing to him. So here is where I plant my flag, Class. The President's warning is FAIR — but his blame is MISPLACED. The rancher didn't fail to rebuild because he got greedy or lazy. He couldn't rebuild, because he is the one powerless man in a chain of powerful ones, his money got expensive the same year his feed did, his children can't afford to come home, and his grass is being litigated shut on his own tax dollars. Do not blame the one man in this story with no power. PART 4 — THE ONE VOTE THAT GETS COUNTED IMMEDIATELY So now put it all together, and watch the President's decision transform in front of your eyes. Because I told you I'd tell you what's ACTUALLY going on — and here it is. Mr. Trump is not stupid, and he is not a sellout. Look at what he actually did over the last ten months. Last October he told the ranchers he'd handed them the best prices in twenty years. In November he sent the Justice Department after those four packers — for squeezing the producer and shrinking the herd. He named the MIDDLE of the chain as the problem, and he was RIGHT. But antitrust cases grind on for years, and the American mother is standing at the meat case doing math TONIGHT. So when the herd still hadn't grown, he reached for the one tool that works instantly on a rigged market: he introduced a supply he doesn't control. That flood of foreign beef is a two-by-four across the nose of the middleman — the packer — while the lawyers do their slow work. It's not a love letter to Brazil. It's PRESSURE. But here's the problem, and here's why the ranchers are right to howl: that same two-by- four hits the rancher on its way through, because HIS product can't be told apart from the cheap foreign stuff once it's ground up. So both sides of this family fight are half right. The President is right that the middle is the enemy. The ranchers are right that they're taking the blow. And the REAL villain — the four-packer chokehold, two of them foreign — is standing in the middle where almost nobody is pointing. So what do we DO about it? Washington can do some of it. The DOJ can break the chokehold. Congress can stop the lawsuits that close our grass. But there is ONE thing, Class, that no president and no court and no agency can do for you. They cannot make you buy your beef straight from an American rancher. Only YOU can do that. And when you do — when you buy direct from the man who raised the animal — listen to what you're actually doing. You are reaching PAST all four stages. You're taking your food dollar out of a chain where eighty-five percent runs through four corporations, two of them foreign, and you are putting it straight into the hand of the American family that carried that animal through the drought and the blizzard and the five-year wait. Every single dollar that goes AROUND the middle is a dollar the middle doesn't get to price. That, Class, is the only vote in this entire fight that gets counted IMMEDIATELY — no election, no lawsuit, no act of Congress. Just your dollar, landing in the right hand. That is why we built it. Through Patriots Buying Club, we put American-raised, grass- fed, grass-finished beef straight into American families' hands — no Big Four, no Brazilian holding company, no four-stage markup between the pasture and your plate. You'll find it at byebyewalmart.com. And NOW you understand why it doesn't cost the same as the shrink-wrapped special at the chain store. It isn't gouging, Class. It's a man selling twenty head a week instead of three thousand a day, charging the only honest number that keeps his lights on so he can do it all again next year. You're not buying a package of meat. You are buying a heifer that gets KEPT instead of sold. You're buying a pasture that stays a pasture. You're buying a kid who decides there's a future in this after all, and comes home to the ranch. We have complained about the monopolies. We've complained about the vanishing family farm. We've complained about foreign hands on our food. But complaints never kept a single rancher in business, Class. CUSTOMERS do. Food independence is national security. And it starts tonight — with you knowing exactly whose hand your food dollar lands in. Did NOT rule on ultimate legality. A SEPARATE injunction (Talwani, Aug 11, Massachusetts) still stands. KBJ and Sotomayor/Kagan dissents. (ABC News, Reuters, Forbes, US News — Aug 24–25.) NOTE: earlier "5-3 / 23 states / standing" framing was from a stale source and is corrected here. ■ USPS final rule (95 pages, published Fri Aug 21–22, Federal Register Aug 26): states submit voter name + home address to federal ballot portal; unique Intelligent Mail barcodes on outbound + return envelopes; USPS won't deliver ballots to non-compliant states. USPS will NOT verify voter eligibility, inspect ballots, or audit rolls (per SG Sauer). Voters do NOT self-register or submit their own info. Implementation still blocked for 2026 unless remaining injunction lifted. ■ Trump "stranger things have happened" quote re: national emergency if SAVE Act fails — confirmed, August interview.
