Summary
This teaching compares humanity to seed lying dormant in the earth. Sin, suffering, addiction, false religion, and destruction may bury the seed, but Yahweh’s light and voice can awaken what He placed within every person. The elect are not the only harvest but the first harvest. Barley, wheat, and grapes represent different appointed times in which humanity is awakened and brought into Yahweh’s purpose. Because Yahweh desires all humanity to be saved, His people must pray for all, condemn no one, and serve as ministers of reconciliation. Every person will ultimately hear the call to return and become what Yahweh purposed from the beginning.
