Because what I’m about to tell you is going to make the mainstream media’s heads explode. And the law professors screaming on cable news? They’re either lying to you — or they skipped class the day they covered executive authority. Let’s get something straight right now. Nicolás Maduro was NOT treated as a foreign head of state. He was treated as what he is: a criminal leader of a transnational narcotics enterprise. And THAT distinction changes EVERYTHING. THE MONROE DOCTRINE — THEY FORGOT WE HAVE ONE Folks, let me remind you of something the Ivy League professors conveniently forgot. In 1823, President James Monroe drew a line: The Western Hemisphere is America’s sphere of influence. Foreign powers don’t get to destabilize our backyard. Then in 1904, Teddy Roosevelt added the Roosevelt Corollary: “Chronic wrongdoing, or an impotence which results in a general loosening of the ties of civilized society... may in the Western Hemisphere... force the United States, however reluctantly, in flagrant cases of such wrongdoing or impotence, to the exercise of an international police power.” Read that again. “Flagrant cases of such wrongdoing.” “Exercise of an international police power.” That’s not Donald Trump talking. That’s Teddy Roosevelt. In 1904. And just two years ago, National Security Advisor John Bolton invoked the Monroe Doctrine explicitly: “In this administration, we’re not afraid to use the word Monroe Doctrine... It’s been the objective of American presidents going back to President Reagan to have a completely democratic hemisphere.” Maduro turned Venezuela into a narco-state that floods America with poison and exports criminal gangs to terrorize our cities. That’s not just “chronic wrongdoing.” That’s a DECLARATION OF WAR by other means. LET’S TALK ABOUT IRAQ On September 11, 2001, Saddam Hussein’s Iraq gave safe harbor and financial support to terrorists who attacked America and killed nearly 3,000 citizens. He was captured. Tried. Executed. Maduro has given safe harbor and financial support to a MUCH LARGER attack on our nation — specifically our youth. Over 100,000 dead Americans from cocaine. He has been arrested. End of story. It’s truly that simple. The moment your CRIMES SPILL ACROSS YOUR BORDERS is the moment you lose SAFETY IN SOVEREIGNTY. Saddam learned that lesson. Noriega learned that lesson. Taylor learned that lesson. Now Maduro has learned it too. THE BODY COUNT THEY WON’T MENTION Before we get to the law — because we WILL get to the law — let’s talk about why this happened. In the five years Maduro has been under U.S. indictment: Over 100,000 Americans have died from cocaine-involved overdoses. Let me say that again. One hundred THOUSAND dead Americans. From cocaine. That’s more than THIRTY TIMES the number killed on September 11th. Thirty 9/11s. In five years. From cocaine flowing through Venezuela like water through a fire hose. And while your kids were dying, Maduro was living in a palace. His wife? Sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department in 2018 for corruption. She wasn’t some innocent bystander. She was running her OWN state-sponsored gangs to protect their drug operations. This isn’t foreign policy, folks. This is a mass casualty event with a return address. THE LAW — HERE’S WHAT THE MEDIA WON’T TELL YOU Now. Let’s destroy this “Trump needed Congress” nonsense. Because he didn’t. And here’s why. 1. MADURO WAS INDICTED — NOT DECLARED AN ENEMY LEADER In March 2020, the U.S. Department of Justice indicted Maduro for: Narco-terrorism conspiracy Cocaine importation conspiracy Conspiracy with FARC (the Colombian guerrilla group) Possession of machineguns and destructive devices The 2020 indictment — brought by Attorney General William Barr — accused Maduro of running the Cartel de los Soles (Cartel of the Suns) since 1999. That’s over TWO DECADES of weaponizing cocaine against America. Here’s the key: You don’t indict heads of state. You indict CRIMINALS. Once indicted, Maduro became: A fugitive Subject to capture Outside diplomatic immunity No longer protected by head-of-state deference That’s not opinion. That’s black-letter law. The January 2025 superseding indictment added his wife, his son, and interior ministers. The State Department had already placed a $50 MILLION bounty on his head. When you’re worth $50 million to federal law enforcement, you’re not a president. You’re a TARGET. 2. THE PRESIDENT ALREADY HAD THE AUTHORITY On January 20, 2025 — Day One — Trump signed Executive Order 14157: “Designating Cartels and Other Organizations as Foreign Terrorist Organizations and Specially Designated Global Terrorists.” Read that again. Foreign Terrorist Organizations. This wasn’t new authority. It was ACTIVATED authority. Under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), 50 U.S.C. 1701, the President declared a national emergency based on the “unusual and extraordinary threat” posed by cartels. Under Section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, the Secretary of State designated eight cartel networks — including Tren de Aragua (Maduro’s street army that’s been terrorizing American cities) — as Foreign Terrorist Organizations. Once that designation happens: Military force is authorized Leadership becomes targetable Financial networks can be seized No congressional vote required This is the SAME legal framework used to take out ISIS leaders. Nobody asked Congress for permission to drop a Hellfire missile on al Baghdadi. 3. THE WAR POWERS RESOLUTION DOES NOT APPLY This is where the media lies. The War Powers Act applies ONLY when: The U.S. enters sustained hostilities Against another sovereign nation In a declared war environment This operation was: A law enforcement + counter-terror action Against an indicted criminal During drug interdiction operations No declaration of war required. No congressional authorization needed. Senator Tom Cotton said it plainly: “Congress isn’t notified when the FBI is going to arrest a drug trafficker. Nor should Congress be notified when the executive branch is executing arrests on indicted persons.” Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley confirmed: “Trump does not need congressional approval for this type of operation. Presidents, including Democratic presidents, have launched lethal attacks regularly against individuals.” 4. THE “SOVEREIGNTY” ARGUMENT IS LEGALLY VOID Here comes the Left’s favorite word: sovereignty. “You can’t just go into another country!” Yes. You can. When that country IS the criminal enterprise. Sovereignty does NOT protect: Drug trafficking Terror financing Crimes causing mass civilian deaths abroad Under long-standing international precedent, nations may pursue transnational criminal leaders — especially when the host government is operationally integrated with the criminal network. Maduro didn’t just tolerate drug trafficking. He RAN it. The indictment states: “Since his early days in Venezuelan government, MADURO MOROS has tarnished every public office he has held... moved loads of cocaine under the protection of Venezuelan law enforcement.” As Foreign Minister, he gave diplomatic passports to drug traffickers. He authorized planes to repatriate drug money from Mexico. He partnered with the Sinaloa Cartel, the Zetas, FARC, and Tren de Aragua. The State Department estimated 200-250 TONS of cocaine were trafficking through Venezuela annually by 2020. When your government IS the cartel, you don’t get to hide behind sovereignty. HE WASN’T EVEN THE LEGITIMATE PRESIDENT Before you start posting things that show your ignorance, do your research. Maduro was NOT the legitimately elected president of Venezuela. The 2018 Election: Opposition candidates were banned or jailed International observers were excluded The election was moved up without constitutional authority Turnout was the lowest in Venezuelan democratic history Over 50 nations refused to recognize the results The European Parliament — with 480 votes in favor — called the election “fraudulent” and refused to recognize it. The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights concluded the election did not meet “the minimal conditions needed for the realization of free, fair and reliable elections.” The Organization of American States declared Maduro’s presidency illegitimate and urged new elections. FIFTY COUNTRIES — including the United States, Canada, and most of the European Union — recognized opposition leader Juan Guaidó as the legitimate president of Venezuela. The 2024 Election: Even worse. The opposition collected 85% of the official ballot tally sheets — independently, from over 30,000 polling stations. The REAL results: 67% for opposition candidate Edmundo González. 30% for Maduro. The Carter Center — the ONLY accredited international observer allowed in — declared: “The election did not meet international standards of electoral integrity and cannot be considered democratic.” The OAS concluded: “The official results are not trustworthy or deserving of democratic recognition.” So when Democrats cry about “overthrowing a legitimate leader” — ask them which election they’re talking about. The one that was boycotted? The one that was rigged? Or the one where Maduro got 30% and claimed 51%? Maduro wasn’t a president. He was a squatter with a military. THE VENEZUELA CONNECTION — A FOOTNOTE WORTH REMEMBERING One more thing worth noting. Smartmatic — a voting technology company founded by three Venezuelans — got its start with a $128 million contract to run the 2004 Venezuelan recall referendum. The same referendum that kept Hugo Chávez in power. After that, Smartmatic ran fourteen Venezuelan national elections. Every single one kept the Chavistas in power. In 2017, Smartmatic finally admitted that Venezuela’s National Elections Council “announced results different from those collected by the voting system.” Here’s the corporate chain: 2004: Smartmatic runs Venezuelan elections 2005: Smartmatic buys Sequoia Voting Systems (American company) 2007: Smartmatic forced to sell Sequoia after CFIUS review 2010: Sequoia acquired by Dominion Voting Systems 2020: Dominion counts votes in 28 American states That’s not conspiracy. That’s corporate history. Public record. And now the man at the center of Venezuelan election operations — Nicolás Maduro — is sitting in American custody. Interesting timing. History is littered with criminals who wrapped themselves in flags and thought that made them untouchable. It didn’t. MANUEL NORIEGA — PANAMA (1989) CIA asset turned cocaine kingpin. Used Panama as a drug transshipment hub. Laundered money while preaching nationalism. Indicted by the U.S. while still “head of government.” Endgame: U.S. forces invaded Panama. Noriega was dragged from a diplomatic compound. Flown to Miami in chains. Died a convicted felon. Lesson: A flag doesn’t stop handcuffs. CHARLES TAYLOR — LIBERIA (2012) “President” who funded himself through blood diamonds and child soldiers. Terrorized civilians while giving speeches about independence. Endgame: Captured. Tried internationally. Sentenced to 50 years in prison. Lesson: International law waits — but it never forgets. SLOBODAN MILOŠEVIĆ — SERBIA (2001)Used nationalism to justify ethnic cleansing. Controlled courts, media, and military. Called himself the defender of his people while committing crimes against humanity. Endgame: Arrested by his own country. Extradited to The Hague. Died during trial — disgraced. Lesson: Sovereignty ends where genocide begins. FERDINAND MARCOS — PHILIPPINES (1986) Declared martial law. Looted billions from his own people. Used the military to silence dissent. Endgame: Overthrown. Fled to Hawaii. Assets seized. Legacy destroyed. Lesson: You can steal a nation — but not history. SADDAM HUSSEIN — IRAQ (2006) Built a state on torture and terror. Believed fear was legitimacy. Endgame: Pulled from a hole in the ground. Tried. Executed. Lesson: Presidencies don’t erase criminality — they expose it. THE PATTERN Every one of these men said the same things: “This is foreign interference.” “They’re attacking our sovereignty.” “I am the legitimate leader.” Every one of them: Used the state as a criminal enterprise Confused power with legitimacy Ended in disgrace, prison, exile, or death And every one proves this truth: A criminal does not become legitimate by stealing a nation. The same Democrats crying about “constitutional process” have spent years ignoring: 100,000+ cocaine-involved deaths Venezuelan gangs in American cities A $50 million bounty on an indicted narco-terrorist They didn’t care about the constitution when Americans were dying. They care NOW because their narrative is dying. THE CONCLUSION Maduro wasn’t “removed.” He was arrested. The law wasn’t bent. It was applied. A drug dealer doesn’t become legitimate because he captures a palace. A criminal doesn’t gain immunity because he controls borders. A narco-terrorist doesn’t become untouchable because he wraps himself in a flag. History is brutally consistent: Every fugitive hiding behind a flag eventually loses the flag.
