Pastor Vaughn Preaches LIVE 1/13/23 "THE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE" Shane Vaughn ——— First Harvest Ministries International 1 Jeremiah 33 and verse 11. Verse 11, is everybody there say amen. The voice of joy and the voice of gladness. The voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride. The voice of those who bring the sacrifices of praise into the house of Yahweh. Who say Hallelujah. They don't just say Hallelujah. Hallelujah. That's Hebrew for praise to Yahweh. Give thanks to Yahweh of host for Yahweh is righteous. For his mercy endures forever. For I will restore the captives to the land and make it as it was at the beginning. Says Yahweh. I'd like to read that verse one more time. 2 The voice of joy, the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride. Now, there seems to be a pause right here in the scripture and I want you to notice the pause. The first set of people are happy people. The voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride. But then there seems to be another set of voices. And this IS THE VOICE OF THOSE who may not necessarily have any joy or gladness. They're not getting married. They're dealing with life. Two sets of people here. One that's up and one that's down. 3 The voice of those that bring the sacrifice of praise. You may be seated. Thank you, Father. I have never preached what I'm going to preach to you tonight and I really believe that you need to listen closely. I want to talk tonight about the sacrifice of praise. WHENEVER WE PRAISE GOD, there are three ways of being in the presence of Yahweh. Number one is praise, worship, and glory. I've taught you those three levels before. But I specifically WANT TO TALK ABOUT what praise is. Praise is when we express how good God is. It's really that simple, sister Charlotte. 4 Whenever we express how great Yahweh is, that's praise. I'll give you an example. If I'm talking to you, Brother Carl Goppold, and I say to you, "My wife is the most beautiful Well, first of all, you wouldn't agree with me, but you know, they you better not. Amen. If I was TO SAY MY WIFE'S THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN in the world, "She is the greatest woman I've ever met." I am praising my wife. Do you know why? Because I'm telling someone else of her goodness, her greatness, her dynamiteness. That's praise. 5 However, if I leave Carl and I go over here into the intimate space that we share and I look her in the eyes and I say, "You are the most beautiful woman in the world." That's not praise. That's worship. Why? Praise is about her. Worship is to her. Adoration. We need to understand the difference in praise and worship. If you ever want to get into the presence of Yahweh, YOU HAVE TO START WITH PRAISE, move into worship, and then stand in the glory. 6 Now, but I want to talk about the goodness of Yahweh, sister Christian, whenever me and you were talking and I said, "Christian, God is able to do anything." I am praising God. I am elevating Yahweh in your mind. I'm telling you there's no mountain too high that he cannot move it. I'm praising him. WHEN I GO TO YOU, SISTER, AND I SAY, "THERE'S NOTHING HE CAN'T do for you." I'm praising Yahweh. I'M NOT TALKING TO HIM, BUT I'M TALKING TO YOU, sister Denisa, and I'm praising the Lord. WHEN I WALK THROUGH THE DOORS AND THEY CRANK UP THE music like the Bible said, "Enter his courts with dancing. 7 Enter his courts WITH THANKSGIVING. ENTER HIS COURTS WITH PRAISE." Whatever you see us running across the front, grabbing one another's hands, do you know WHAT WE'RE SAYING? HEY, GOD IS SO GOOD. CELEBRATE HIM WITH ME. WE ARE PRAISING the Lord. WE ARE BRAGGING ON THE GOODNESS OF GOD. AS THE SINGERS ARE SINGING, "GOD IS GREAT AND greatly to be praised." We are simply praising our God. Now, we express our praise in words, in actions, in our dance, or even IN OUR TESTIMONY. TONIGHT, WHEN SISTER JANET STOOD UP AND SAID, "I WAS HEALED TONIGHT." She was praising Yahweh. 8 She was saying, "Nobody in this room healed me. No man HEALED ME. NOBODY HEALED ME, BUT YAHWEH IS GOOD AND HIS MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER." NOW, everybody says, "Brother Von, I hear what you're saying. I know what PRAISE IS." I KNOW you do. And as a matter of fact, 99% of you in this room, Brother Shane Shull, are experts at praise. You're experts at it. And yet, I'm fixing to say something that's going to cause you to give me that look. EVERY ONE OF YOU IN HERE are experts. You've learned how to do the two-step. You've learned how to do the twistaroo. 9 You've learned how to do like Pastor Von sometime and jerk your head. You've learned how to praise the Lord. But I'm about to say something that's going to make you look at me real funny. YOU HAVE MASTERED PRAISE AS AN ART, but very few of you have ever brought the sacrifice of praise. There's a difference. There is a difference. I WOULD SAY A FEW PERCENTAGE IN THIS room has ever brought the sacrifice of praise. What's the difference? I'm going to teach you tonight. PRAISE IS THAT MOMENT WHEN YOU ARE SO ELATED AT the goodness of Yahweh. YOU'VE JUST GOT TO TELL SOMEBODY what he's done for you. 10 MAYBE YOUR CHILD JUST RETURNED HOME FROM the mental hospital and you got to tell somebody. YEAH, YOU GOT TO GIVE GOD THE PRAISE. MAYBE A DOOR HAS OPENED FOR YOU THAT WAS SHUT. It's time to praise the Lord. MAYBE A BILL WAS SUPERNATURALLY PAID THAT wasn't supposed to be there. YOU JUST GOT TO TELL somebody of the goodness of God. MAYBE A SICKNESS WAS HEALED like Sister Janet TONIGHT AND YOU WANT A MICROPHONE SO YOU CAN SAY, "GOD IS GOOD. HIS MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER." AS A MATTER OF FACT, IN JEREMIAH 33, IT SAID THAT IN THE CHURCH THERE WERE VOICES OF JOY. THERE WAS VOICES OF GLADNESS. 11 THE BRIDE AND THE BRIDE THERE WAS SOME HAPPY PEOPLE IN THAT CHURCH AND THEY WERE PRAISING THE LORD. Maybe Maybe the family is doing well AND THERE'S NO DRAMA IN THE FAMILY AND IT'S time to praise the Lord. MIRACLES MIRACLES ARE ALL AROUND YOU AND IT'S TIME TO PRAISE THE LORD. YOU JUST WANT TO TELL THE WORLD ABOUT THE GOODNESS OF YAHWEH. THAT IS PRAISE AND YOU ALL ARE MASTERS OF IT. BUT, THE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE IS WHEN YOUR CHILD DIDN'T COME HOME AND YOUR SICKNESS DIDN'T GET HEALED AND YOUR BILLS DIDN'T GET PAID AND EVERYTHING IS GOING WRONG. 12 THERE WILL COME A TIME IN YOUR LIFE WHEN YOU WON'T HAVE THE VOICE OF JOY. YOU WON'T HAVE THE VOICE OF GLADNESS. THERE'LL BE NO WEDDINGS GOING ON, BUT SOMEWHERE DEEP INSIDE OF YOU, YOU FIND A SACRIFICE OF PRAISE. GOD IS STILL GOOD. GOD'S STILL GOOD. I TOLD YOU, YOU KNOW HOW TO PRAISE, BUT I KNOW SOME PEOPLE IN THIS ROOM, YOU HAVEN'T LEARNED YET HOW TO DIG DOWN DEEP WHEN EVERYTHING'S GOING WRONG, AND YOU STILL HAVE THE VOICE OF JOY IN SPITE OF WHAT YOU'RE GOING THROUGH. HE DON'T WANT YOUR PRAISE. PRAISE IS EASY. When everybody likes you, praise is easy. I watch you. 13 I watch you walk through the doors. I see on your face. I know you come in here and they crank the music up and there you go. And you're saying in your mind, I wished I had something to praise him for. I PRAYED AND nothing happened. STILL SICK IN MY BODY. STILL GOT MY BILLS DUE. STILL IN TROUBLE. I DON'T HAVE NO JOY. BUT WHEN YOU GROW UP IN GOD, YOU'LL LEARN HOW TO MAKE A SACRIFICE OF PRAISE. YOU'LL LEARN WHERE THE BLESSINGS COME FROM WHEN YOU'RE WITHOUT AND YOU STILL GOT A PRAISE. 14 IF GOD IS ONLY GOOD WHEN GOD IS GOOD, IF GOD IS ONLY GOOD WHEN HE'S GOOD, IF HE'S ONLY WORTHY OF YOUR PRAISE WHEN HE'S YOUR LITTLE LAP DOG DOING WHAT YOU TELL HIM TO DO, DOING WHAT YOU WANT HIM TO DO, THAT'S NOT THE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE. LET ME tell you something. The God I serve is good when he ain't good. THE GOD I SERVE IS A PROVIDER EVEN WHEN HE DON'T PROVIDE. DID YOU HEAR ME? THE GOD I SERVE IS A HEALER EVEN IF HE DON'T HEAL. I WILL GIVE HIM THE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE. YOU BETTER LEARN HOW TO SACRIFICE A PRAISE. THE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE IS WHAT YOU OFFER WHEN THERE'S NOTHING TO PRAISE HIM FOR. 15 I'VE BEEN THERE. I walked in them doors with nothing to praise him for. At least I didn't think I did. But the moment started the music. STARTED TO REMEMBER. I KNOW they going to cut MY LIGHTS OFF TOMORROW. I KNOW. I KNOW THERE'S NO FOOD IN THE REFRIGERATOR. I KNOW. BUT I FOUND OUT IF I SACRIFICE THE PRAISE, HE WILL SACRIFICE THE ANSWER. SOME OF Y'ALLS A HOT MESS. SOME OF YOU IS A HOT MESS WATCHING ME ON THE CAMERA. SOME OF YOU IS A HOT MESS. YOU CAN COME IN HERE AND BE HAPPY WHEN THE CHURCH IS FULL. WHEN EVERYTHING'S AT PEACE IN THE CHURCH, NO DRAMA, NO WAR, WELL, LET'S HAVE CHURCH. 16 BUT I WANT TO TELL YOU WHEN I HAVE CHURCH, WHEN I WALK IN, I DON'T SEE NOBODY. I DON'T FEEL NO HELP. I DON'T HAVE NO HELP. I'VE LEARNED TO PRAISE HIM ANYHOW. HALLELUJAH. THE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE IS WHEN YOU STILL SICK. IT'S WHEN YOU STILL BROKE. IT'S WHEN YOU STILL DEPRESSED. IT'S WHEN YOU STILL DON'T HAVE NO FRIENDS. IT'S WHEN THEY STILL FIGHTING YOU. IT'S WHEN YOUR ENEMIES ARE STILL WINNING. IT'S WHEN THE FIRE FALLS. OH MY GOD, YOU GOT TO FIND YOU GOT TO FIND YOU GOT TO FIND A SACRIFICE. HALLELUJAH. ON MY DEATH BED, HE'LL STILL BE A HEALER. I SAID ON MY DEATH BED, HE'LL STILL BE A HEALER. 17 HALLELUJAH. PEOPLE SAY GOD IS GOOD all the time. You wouldn't know it by looking at their face. I want to teach you tonight not how to be a praiser. Praising's easy. I doubt so. I want to teach you how when the car's been in the shop for 3 weeks, 4 weeks, he'll still have give you a WAY TO GO. HE'LL STILL GET YOU TO CHURCH. YOU GOT TO LEARN how to sacrifice the praise. PRAISE AIN'T WORTH NOTHING IF IT DON'T MEAN NOTHING. IT'S EASY TO PRAISE HIM WHEN HE JUST HEALED YOUR FEVERED BROW, BUT IT'S BETTER TO PRAISE HIM WHILE THAT FEVER'S STILL THERE KNOWING HE'S ABLE. HE'S A GOOD GOD ALL THE TIME. 18 GOD SAID, "TEACH my people how to sacrifice me a praise." Read that verse we just read again. Watch what he said. He said there's two groups of people in the church. Go ahead. The voice of joy. Yeah, some people they happy. Just got their tax refund. You ain't never seen people so dancing before the Lord. Just got paid. Got a bonus. That's the voice of joy. Read. And the voice of gladness. Oh, and they SO GLAD. LIFE IS GOOD. THE VOICE OF the bridegroom. OH, THEY GETTING MARRIED. AND THE VOICE OF THE BRIDE. THEY FIXING TO HAVE A GOOD LIFE. 19 BUT THEN THE NEXT PART OF THE VERSE IS ABOUT THAT SAME MARRIED COUPLE THAT'S BEEN TOGETHER ABOUT 10 YEARS. HAVING TO DEAL WITH LIFE. DRUG ADDICTED CHILDREN. BILLS PAST DUE. THIS IS A OH. WHAT ABOUT THEM PEOPLE? The voice of them that shall say, "Praise the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good." what. For his mercy endureth forever. That's all I know. How you going to make it tomorrow? HIS MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER. THEY'RE NEW EVERY WHAT? HIS MERCIES ARE NEW WHAT? EVERY WHAT? EVERY MORNING. EVERY DAY YOU WAKE UP THERE'S NEW MERCIES. 20 EVERY DAY YOU WAKE UP THERE'S NEW BLESSINGS COMING YOUR WAY IF YOU WILL SACRIFICE THAT PRAISE. AND OF them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord. For I will cause the to return the captive of this land. if you'll learn to be a If you'll learn to assist the cattle to sacrifice that praise, here's what he said I'll do if you'll If you'll do it. Here's what I'll do. I'll return what you lost. Amen. And I'll make it like it was before you lost it. Oh, hallelujah. Because me and you have a covenant. If you'll trust me, I'll trust you. IF YOU'LL PRAISE ME HALLELUJAH. 21 WHEN YOU CAN'T FIND ME HALLELUJAH. IF YOU'LL TRUST ME HALLELUJAH. WHEN YOU CAN'T HEAR ME I PROMISE YOU I'LL RESTORE EVERYTHING THAT THE ENEMY TOOK FROM YOU. I'LL MAKE IT BETTER THAN IT WAS AT THE BEGINNING. WHAT A MIGHTY GOD. I SAID WE SERVE A GOOD GOD. HE'S good in the morning. He's good in the evening. HE'S GOOD ALL THE TIME. HALLELUJAH. HALLELUJAH. GLORY, GLORY. GLORY, GLORY. SOMEBODY SAY YAHWEH IS GOOD YAHWEH IS GOOD EVEN WHEN HE AIN'T GOOD. EVEN WHEN HE AIN'T GOOD. OR AT least it don't look like it. HE WASN'T GOOD WHEN HE DIDN'T ANSWER THAT prayer for us all on January 6th. Come on. He was good. But he was good. good. He was so good, he ignored us. Amen. But he had plans. Because if he would answered your prayer, GUESS WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED to your president the VERY NEXT DAY? GOD IS GOOD WHEN YOU CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT. GOD, YOU BETTER LEARN TO GIVE A SACRIFICE of praise. Not just praise. The sacrifice. With the one you got to dig for. The one that's not there, sister Pat. 23 Brother John, the one that YOU JUST CAN'T QUITE MUSTER UP. THE ONE WHEN YOU'RE ON YOUR WAY TO CHURCH, YOU'RE LIKE, "MY GOD, CAN WE BE LATE SO WE DON'T HAVE TO DANCE?" Y'ALL DON'T THINK I DON'T HEAR EVERYTHING? 20 MINUTES LATE, THEY'LL BE IN THE THE JESUS IS MY BOYFRIEND SONGS. HUH? FOR THE PRAYER? OH, YEAH. OH, NO. JUST GOT A PHONE CALL YOUR KIDS ON drugs and you on your way to church. AND YOU KNOW WHEN YOU WALK IN THEM DOORS, WE GOING TO BE LOOKING at you funny if you ain't dancing. 24 She going to be like, "My God, tell them I got a sore throat or something." Cuz all I want to do is sit on the back pew and and make him preach me out of this mess I'm in. But if you'll learn to walk through those doors when everything in your world just crumbled and you find a way to dig out a praise, I promise you my God and my God is able. MY GOD IS ABLE! I SAID HE'S ABLE! HE'S ABLE! HE'S ABLE! HE'S ON TIME EVERY TIME. HE'LL NEVER FAIL YOU. HE'LL NEVER FORGET YOU. HE'S GOOD. SOMEBODY SAY HE'S GOOD. HE'S GOOD. HE'S GOOD. HE'S GOOD. 25 I THINK LOSING THESE 25 lbs helped me preach a little better. Last month, 25 lbs gone. HALLELUJAH. NOW, you thought that was the good stuff. Y'all know how we roll. Let's go to Hebrews chapter 13, verse 15. Book of Hebrews, I want to show you now what true worship is, what true praise is. Sister Judy, whenever you've got everything you need, God is good, but he's also good when you don't have everything you need. He's a friend that sticks closer than a brother. He said, "Yea, though you walk through the valley Charlotte of the shadow of death, and you can't find me nowhere. 26 If you'll throw them hands up and say the Lord is good, and his mercy endureth forever, he said, 'I'll I'll meet you right there at the sacrifice of praise.'" Right when the devils told you to pack your bags and go back home because NOTHING'S WORKING OUT, GOD SAID, "IF YOU'LL THROW YOUR HANDS UP AND SAY I KNOW MY REDEEMER LIVETH, HE SAID, 'I'LL MEET YOU RIGHT THERE. I'LL MEET YOU RIGHT THERE AFTER SACRIFICIAL PRAISE. I want to ask people, what you going back to? You didn't have nothing WHILE YOU WAS THERE. YOU DIDN'T HAVE CHURCH, YOU DIDN'T HAVE A family of truth. WHAT YOU GOING BACK TO? 27 SAME DRAMA. Read for me, Elder, Hebrews 13:15. Therefore, through him let us offer the sacrifice of praise to Yahweh mention of the sacrifice of praise. Not praise, but the sacrifice of it. Read. Let us offer the sacrifice of praise to Yahweh continually. Oh, see, what is a sacrifice of praise? Somebody say, if it ain't continual, it's not a sacrifice. He said, "Here's how you bring the sacrifice of praise. Not on the good days, every day, ALL DAY. CONTINUALLY! AMEN. 28 WHEN YOU GET FIRED, OR WHEN YOU GET HIRED, NO DIFFERENCE IN YOUR DANCE, WHETHER IT'S IN THE VALLEY OR ON THE MOUNTAIN, YOUR DANCE NEVER CHANGES. YOUR WORSHIP NEVER REARRANGES. WHY? CONTINUALLY! CONTINUALLY! CONTINUALLY! GOOD DAY PRAISE AIN'T PRAISE. CONTINUALLY. Sister Lynn, continually. If God's not as good in your darkest hour as he was in your best, you've not learned the SACRIFICE OF PRAISE. YADA BO SHANDA I. RABA SHANDA. WHEN MY GOD FROM MOUNT ZION. HALLELUJAH. IF YOU WANT TO LEARN THE SECRET TO POWER WITH GOD, IT'S NOT IN YOUR PRAISE, IT'S IN YOUR SACRIFICE OF PRAISE. HALLELUJAH. 29 HALLELUJAH. WHEN ALL YOU WANT TO DO IS CRAWL UP IN YOUR BED AND PULL UP A BLANKET OVER YOUR HEAD AND HIDE, BUT YOU SAY NO. NO. NO. THE LORD THE LORD THE LORD IS GOOD. THE LORD IS GOOD. THE LORD IS GOOD. THE LORD IS GOOD. HE'S GOOD ALL THE TIME. HE'S GOOD ALL THE TIME. HE'S GOOD ALL THE TIME. WOO. HALLELUJAH. HE'S GOOD ALL THE TIME. WOO. HALLELUJAH. HALLELUJAH. WOO. YOU MAY be seated. COME ON. 30 SOMEBODY COVER THE CURTAINS AND COVER THE WINDOWS. TURN OFF THAT PHONE. YEAH. I'VE REACHED THE END OF MY ROPE. WHENEVER YOU GET THERE, HE'LL BE STANDING THERE. IF YOU REACH WAY DOWN, IF YOU REACH WAY DOWN AND PULL OUT A PRAISE. READ THE BOOK OF Psalms 34. Verse 1. What is it? Psalms 34 and verse 1. I'm fixing to teach y'all something in just a second. We're about to set your wet WOOD ON FIRE. HALLELUJAH. I WANT TO tell all of you something. I have stood in this pulpit and preached to you for the last 6 weeks while all hell has fought me and I've never changed the way I preach. 31 I've never backed down. I've never SLOWED DOWN. WHY? CUZ GOD IS GOOD ALL THE AND GUESS WHAT? 10 YEARS FROM NOW, I'LL STILL BE STANDING RIGHT HERE PREACHING THAT GOD IS GOOD. YAHWEH IS GOOD. ALL THE TIME. HALLELUJAH. HE'S NOT GOOD JUST ONCE IN A WHILE, BUT HE IS GOOD READ PSALMS 34 AND 1. I WILL bless Yahweh at all times. Hold on. No, that ain't what it says. Yes, IT IS. OH, NO. I WILL BLESS him when my children is doing good. I'll bless him when my job situation's going fine. I'll bless him when they're not kicking me out OF THE HOUSE. I'LL BLESS HIM WHEN I GET MARRIED TO THE GIRL I LOVE. 32 I'LL BLESS HIM WHEN I KNOW WHERE HOME IS. OH NO! I WILL BLESS him how much? All the time. 24/7. Can I tell you the moment you're no longer blessing him? The moment one negative word comes out OF YOUR MOUTH. YOU DIDN'T HEAR ME. LET ME SIT ON THE MICROPHONE. YOU can't bless him and question him at THE SAME TIME. YOU CAN'T WONDER HOW AND PRAISE HIM AT THE SAME TIME. HERE'S ALL YOU CAN DO. The Lord is good. His mercy endures forever. He brought me this FAR BY FAITH. HE WON'T leave me now. Hear the word of THE LORD. HE'S FAITHFUL. I SAID HE'S FAITHFUL. 33 HOW YOU GOING TO BLESS HIM AND WONDER if he's able AT THE SAME TIME? ALL THE TIME. BLESS HIM WHEN YOUR ROOF AIN'T FIXED. BLESS HIM WHEN IT GETS FIXED. BLESS HIM WHEN YOUR ENEMIES ARE LYING ON YOU. BLESS HIM WHEN YOUR FRIENDS ARE BRAGGING ON YOU. JUST BLESS HIM. YOU KNOW WHY YOU GOT TO BLESS HIM AT ALL TIMES? Cuz if you're blessing him at all times, you ain't cursing nobody AT NO TIME. BECAUSE MY BIBLE SAID BLESSINGS AND cursings cannot come out of the same system. So if you're BLESSING THE LORD, YOU got to BLESS EVERYBODY ELSE. PASTOR, I BLESS THE Lord at all times. 34 Was it while YOU WAS CUSSING SOMEBODY OUT OR WHILE YOU WERE BLESSING THEM? CUZ YOU CAN'T BLESS THEM AND NOT BLESS THEM. YOU CAN'T BLESS HIM IF YOU'RE NOT BLESSING THEM. AT ALL TIMES. I JUST CAME TO TALK TO YOU TONIGHT. I just want to talk to you. Now. I know we got a wedding tomorrow and y'all tired, but I don't care. I hear what you're saying. I get it. So, if you get it, you know next week when the devil's told you nobody in the church loves you. Everybody's against you. I WANT YOU TO HEAR ME. There will come times in the ministry when God will take the hedge away. To see who's going to believe that it's falling apart. To see if somebody can call you and say, "Have you heard about all the drama?" GOD DOES IT. 76 BECAUSE HE'S GOT A plan to make Job better in the end than he was in the beginning. AND JOB IS SITTING THERE, SKIN WORMS ABOUT TO DESTROY HIS BODY, AND HE SAID THESE WORDS, "THOUGH HE SLAY ME, YET WILL I TRUST HIM." HE'S STILL GOOD. HE HAD THE SACRIFICE OF PRAISE. 78 But do you know who had to find that sacrifice of praise? REVEREND SATAN. YEAH. IT WAS WORKING. SATAN separates the praisers from the sacrificers. Because they would they all dance with us. Amen. The tares and the wheat. That's praisers. Amen. That's right. But I'm looking at people tonight that you've been attacked by every devil in hell and you're still SHOWING UP ON SHABBAT. HALLELUJAH! I want to show you Satan's ministry. After tonight, you will never again give honor to Satan for anything. Everything out of your mouth was God is good. All the time. You know why he didn't want him to number Israel? 81 Cuz he didn't want David to trust in chariots or horses or the numbers that he had in his army. He wanted them to do like he did with them five smooth stones and just trust in Yahweh. That's all he wanted. BUT SATAN TOLD DAVID, GO NUMBER HOW many you got. Or or maybe this. Give me your hand. Katrina. Maybe he tempted this pastor of Israel to count how many had left him. Count. Count how many's left you. But that's not what God told him to do. God said, if they all leave you, I'LL BE WITH YOU. CAN I TELL you what happened real quick? David numbered Israel. 82 He started counting the ones that weren't in church. COUNTING THE ONES THAT WEREN'T AT ZOOM. And God said, "Don't you ever look at the numbers. Keep preaching. Keep doing what I called YOU TO DO, DAVID, BUT SATAN God said, "Go prompt him to count people because I told him not to. I want to see if what he's going to do." But I need you, Satan, to to show me cuz without you I wouldn't know. David counted them and guess what happened? 70,000 of his people died from a plague because he counted the people. That's all he did. What a mean God? No, no, no, no, no, no. What a weak leader. 83 Satan had to find out, Pastor Vaughn, how weak you were because the calling upon your life, David, is so much bigger than you that God has to test you with those that hates you. But I want to tell you what happened after that. Bible said David knew he had failed. He knew that Satan had done his job well, found the weak. Why couldn't God do it? Because God don't tempt any man with sin. But he created someone that does on his behalf. His left hand. He's God's left hand. At his right hand is pleasure forevermore, but not the left hand. God's got two hands. One is Yeshua, ONE IS LUCIFER. 84 SO, WHAT DID DAVID DO? What David always did. He built an altar. But, he didn't just build any altar. He built it at the threshing floor. And do you know what the threshing floor turned out to be? I know you know. At the place where the temple would be built. It took David to be tempted of Satan to find his real ministry. He built THE TEMPLE. SOLOMON BUILT THE TEMPLE ON THAT THRESHING FLOOR WHERE DAVID FAILED THE LORD. SATAN BROUGHT FORTH THE TEMPLE OF GOD. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU JUST HEARD THIS PREACHER, so I'm going to SAY IT AGAIN. DO YOU KNOW WHO BUILT GOD'S TEMPLE? IT WASN'T SOLOMON. 85 IT WASN'T DAVID. IT WAS SATAN. HE SAID HE STOOD UP AGAINST ISRAEL. BUT, you know why? Cuz God's always got a reason when the devil stands up in your life. HERE WAS THE REASON. HE KNEW DAVID WAS WEAK. AND DAVID WOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO BUILD THE TEMPLE. BUT, HE KNEW A TEMPLE HAD TO BE BUILT. HE SENT THE DEVIL TO SHOW DAVID THE PLACE WHERE TO BUILD THE TEMPLE. WHEN THE DEVIL GETS THROUGH IN YOUR LIFE, YOU'LL EITHER BUILD YOUR GALLOWS OR YOU'LL BUILD AN ALTAR. WHATEVER YOU DO, IT'S UP TO YOU. I'M CLOSING. I'm closing. Turn elder. They were elevating him to godhood. AND GOD SAID, "I LOVE Paul too much for that. 89 I DON'T WANT TO LOSE MY SERVANT because the people are expecting more out of him than I do. So, what does Yahweh do? It's real simple. He sends his minister. Read. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations Okay. He had more revelation of this word than anybody in his day. And he said BECAUSE THE PEOPLE ARE EXALTING ME ABOVE EVEN A GOD BECAUSE I HAVE ALL THESE REVELATIONS God said, "No, son. I'm going to protect you from the people. I'm going to send my minister. His name is Reverend Satan. And he's going to protect you." Uh-oh. 90 What What did you just say, pastor? He's going to protect you from you. I know you're getting tired. I'm not. Read. There was given to me a thorn in the flesh There What? SO, SO, BECAUSE I HAD ALL THESE REVELATIONS the Father sent me a thorn to drive me insane so that I would be forced to prayer. The Father showed me what's been happening to this ministry. I want you to hear me right now. There is an abundance of revelation in this ministry. There's an abundance of it. And if we are not careful, WE WILL BE EXALTED ABOVE MEASURE. God told Paul, "I'm not going to let it happen. 91 Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to interrupt your ministry with hell. More drama. It's going to be A THORN IN YOUR FLESH. IT MIGHT BE AN EX-WIFE OR AN EX-CHURCH MEMBER, BUT I'M PUTTING A DEVIL IN YOUR LIFE." YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR THIS BECAUSE THIS AIN'T THE GOD YOU SERVE. THE GOD YOU SERVE GETS RID OF ALL YOUR DEVILS. Which one? QUIT PRAYING AGAINST YOUR DEVILS AND DEAL WITH THEM AND LOVE GOD. I LOVE MY DEVILS. I LOVE ROSES, LILIES. I LOVE EVERY FLOWER. I LIKE A WHOLE ARRANGEMENT OF THEM. I'LL SEND THE DEVIL AND WHEN HE GETS DONE, YOU'LL BE AT AN ALTAR SAYING, "HELP ME. I NEED YOUR HELP." ALL OVER AGAIN. 94 WAS THAT ALL THAT VERSE? READ. So I can go home. Was given to me a thorn in the flesh, THE MESSENGER OF SATAN WHO? THE MESSENGER of Satan God sent the devil. to buffet me. to torment my life. Because he's afraid. If I don't have that torment, I will forget. I'll forget my little prison cell. HE'LL BLESS ME SO MUCH, I'LL BE DRIVING A CADILLAC AND FORGET WHEN I HAD A DATSUN. GOD CAN BLESS YOU SO MUCH THAT YOU FORGET TO PRAY. BUT IF THAT HAPPENS, DON'T WORRY. HE'LL SEND HELL. HE'LL SEND A BATTLE THAT'LL MAKE YOU FALL DOWN AND SAY, "HELP ME." When you in trouble. You want to stay out of trouble, stay on your knees. Don't ever quit. Quit missing church. Quit not praying. Quit skipping God. And guess what? You'll never have to call Satan on the phone and say, "Hey son, I need you to come help me. Denisha's acting up. I need you to put a thorn in her flesh. God's trying to teach you. 98 If you'll praise him in the good times. There's an old song that's sharp and be flat or maybe C. Life is easy when you're up on the mountain. You've peace of mind like you've never known. But then things change. And you're down in the valley. Surely don't lose faith. For you're never alone. The God of the mountain is still God in the valley. When things go wrong, help me ladies. Come on. He'll make it right. Whatever that is. The God of the good times is still God in the bad times.
