Summary
The annual Passover service message. It opens with the reading of the Passover instructions (a lamb for each household on the tenth day of the first month, blood on the door frames, eaten with sandals on, 'I will pass over you', kept as a feast to Yahweh throughout your generations). The speaker then prepares the congregation to take the cup. From Mark 10 he takes Yeshua's question to James and John, 'Can you drink the cup?', and says the kingdom they asked for is in the cup. From 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 he teaches that the bread and cup are now taken in remembrance of Yeshua rather than of coming out of Egypt, the cup being the renewing of the Covenant in his blood, showing his death until he comes. From 1 Corinthians 10:16 he argues that 'communion' is the wrong word and the Greek means participation: drinking the cup is participating in Messiah's death, a decision to die with him and be in covenant with him. He prays, then directs the congregation to come by families for the bread and cup and to wash the feet of the saints.
