Shane Vaughn Teaches "Didn't Jesus Fulfill The Holy Days?" - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuFYPylcHG0 Transcript: (00:01) about 8 years ago someone asked me a series of questions that forever changed my thinking concerning my Christian faith I'm going to present some of those same questions to you right now but you've got to be an honest seeker of Truth to answer these questions correctly first question they asked me they said what's the possibility that you could be wrong about what you believe that that question made me very uncomfortable because man's greatest fear is being wrong now why is that because if a man is wrong about one (00:42) thing that he believes it opens up a Pandora's Box it opens up the possibility that that man could be wrong about everything he believes and brothers and sisters that scares human beings to death so when this gentleman asked me could I be wrong about what I believe about the Christian faith my first answer was to say well no I'm I'm not wrong but because the Bible says every man's right in his own eyes but I answered honestly hopefully you'll do the same and I said well yes there's a possibility I could be wrong now the reason he asked me this (01:23) question he and I had been having a friendly argument debate um about an issue that he believed in that I did not believe in his next question to me was do you believe that Jesus Christ I prefer to call him yua fulfilled the holy Day festivals that Israel kept in the Old Testament my answer to him was probably what your answer is I said yes I believe that Jesus Christ fulfilled those festivals then he asked me a question he said why do you believe that and of course I thought about it for a moment and I said well because the (02:08) Bible plainly tells us not to esteem one day above another and in another verse it tells us not to judge any Christian for not keeping any of the holy days or the new moons or the festivals I gave him those answers then he asked me another question he said have you ever studied those verses in depth now that's where he had me because honestly I don't think I had ever torn the verses apart and researched them so when I told him no here was his next question do you always believe everything you're told and that's when he had a fighting (02:56) bear on his hands because he messed with my ego at that point the same way that our ministry is known to mess with people's thinking because we come to you with those same questions tonight do you truly believe that Jesus Christ fulfilled the holy days we're going to answer that question in this teaching now before I go any further you've got to be honest with me you've got to tell me why you believe that now I already know the two verses you're going to go to because I was 35 years old with a doctr in Theology and I went (03:39) to the exact same verses don't esteem one day above another and then don't judge anyone for the keeping or the not keeping of the holy days then I also went over to Hebrews chapter 3 to prove to you that the Sabbath day was fulfilled by Christ and so I know what you're going to answer but beloved may I say something to you today without you getting offended or upset what's the possibility that you're wrong I'll tell you what the possibility is 100% on this subject if you don't believe in keeping the holy days and (04:20) many sincere Christians don't believe in it they believe that's going back to the law they believe that's reaching back to another dispens ation rather than enjoying the dispensation of Grace that we find ourselves in today I used to be in that camp but I was 100% wrong God himself created the holy days to point towards something phenomenal we were always taught that that something phenomenal that these holy days pointed towards was the King of Kings Jesus Christ yua the Messiah himself but that's not a complete answer and that's (05:07) not complete truth that's a partial truth let me explain the holy days were designed not to point to the man Christ Jesus no it were they were designed and created to point to the kingdom of God which will be governed by the man Christ Jesus so the the holy days are indeed Shadows brother vanon we don't keep them because they are simply shadows and now we have the reality here's the problem with that beloved after the reality came Jesus Christ and after he was resurrected and went to heaven do you know I can show (05:50) you verse after verse along with historical writings to prove to you that all of the Apostles and the early church they must have missed the memo that you got because every one of them continued keeping these beautiful Shadows that was still pointing to something else something greater than even the man himself that something is his kingdom that is coming to Earth when on the seventh day or the 7,000th year in the timeline of mankind since the Garden of Eden on the seventh day our father is going to send his son to set up the (06:35) kingdom of God right here on Earth that will take place during a Thousand-Year period that is called the coming Kingdom age we're not there yet we're in the church age we're in that place where the sons of God are being trained to reign in that coming Kingdom now every holy day is still pointing to that great fulfillment now I'm not going to deal in this short video with those two scriptures that we love to point to the reason I'm not because I've already dealt with them in previous teachings much more indepth than this so here's (07:21) what I'm going to ask you to do if those scriptures are tripping you up and you're still like well brother V the Bible says that may I encourage enourage you to go to our YouTube channel if you're watching us by Roku or the or Facebook or wherever go to YouTube Type in first Harvest Ministries And subscribe to that channel remember to click the notification Bell when you get to that channel I teach there on those two scriptures exclusively so just go in your search bar and type Shane Von esteem one day above another that video (07:59) is going to come up now if you're watching on YouTube I'll just link below to those teachings however let me just set it up by saying this when the Bible says don't esteem one day above another you're going to be surprised when you study my teachings on this subject that that had nothing to do with holy days or Sabbath days it had to do with what days to fast on you need to study this out for yourself now what about where it says don't judge us for any holy days because the body is of Christ he's the Fulfillment actually your Bible does not (08:36) say that now I'm not trying to tease you but in this short video I simply cannot do it justice but if you'll watch those two videos you will never make the mistake I made ever again in the beginning of my journey when I tried to throw those scripture Rockets out and say why I didn't believe in the Holy Days let me just close by saying this this Jesus Christ did not fulfill the holy days I'll give you an example the day of trumpets or the Feast of trumpets is a day that represents the second coming of Christ we know Christ (09:16) has not come again so he didn't fulfill that holy day then we have the Feast of atonement which represents The Binding of Lucifer That Old aasil Goat that's not happened yet then we have the Feast of Tabernacles which represents that grand Millennial Reign the Golden Age the kingdom of God on Earth we know that hasn't happened yet and then we have the Feast of the last great day which represents the great white Throne judgment when God will pour out his Spirit on All Flesh that's not happened yet so beloved I ask you (09:56) again if you believe that the holy days will fulfill in Christ you could be wrong you owe it to yourself to examine this subject why I'll tell you why you're missing out you are missing out in your walk with god oh brother V I don't need any of that it's just me and Jesus we got our own thing going and we don't need all of that actually you do you need all of it why because we are children and children are always understand our parent stories through pictures the human mind loves Motion Pictures because it's designed to (10:41) understand pictography if you go look in the ancient caves of the world you'll find pictures because in those pictures is the meaning that they are trying to convey the holy days are pictures celebrations that the Church of God keeps every year if you're not keeping them I would be as bold as to say then you're are clueless of God's plan for the ages I don't mean that rude if it comes out that way please forgive me but I do mean it to try to prompt you to drop your security and what you think you know and say God if there's more for me if (11:27) there's more I can experience and walk out with you I'm an open book now if you're a good student of the Bible you won't believe a word I've just told you until you back it up by the book so I'm asking you to do that I'm asking you to go search those videos and learn the truth dig into those scriptures with me and you'll never ever ever be confused again when you begin to keep these holy days listen to me care carefully your walk with God will change forever I can't even explain why I can only tell you my experience (12:08) and the experience of countless of thousands of Christians that are waking up they're coming out of Babylon they're running away from the lies they're studying to show their self approved and because of that they're walking in New Dimensions of the glory of God because now every year as we join in with the Heavenly calendar and we dance the Heavenly dance then we are experiencing the meaning of those pictures and applying it to our personal lives God bless you have a wonderful day [Music]

Summary

Didn't Jesus Fulfill The Holy Days? recounts Vaughn's change of position concerning biblical festival observance. He says he once believed Yeshua had fulfilled the festivals and relied on familiar New Testament arguments involving esteeming one day above another and not judging believers regarding Holy Days. He later concluded that he had misunderstood those passages. Shane Vaughn Teaches "Didn't Je… The sermon's central argument is that the Holy Days function as prophetic shadows of the Kingdom of God, rather than shadows exhausted entirely by Messiah's first coming. Vaughn therefore reasons that future events associated in his theology with Trumpets, Atonement, Tabernacles, and the Last Great Day demonstrate that the festival pattern remains prophetically unfinished. Shane Vaughn Teaches "Didn't Je… Shane Vaughn Teaches "Didn't Je… Under your strict indexing standard, Colossians 2:16–17 is the strongest single Primary Scripture because the sermon directly confronts the interpretation of its Holy Day/new moon/shadow language. Romans 14:5 is secondary, while the sermon itself leaves many of its broader festival and eschatological claims without precise citations.

Core doctrine

Colossians 2:16 - 17 - Vaughn teaches that the biblical holy days are indeed prophetic "shadows," but he rejects the interpretation that Yahshua's first coming exhausted their meaning or abolished their oberservance; in his interpretation, the festivals continue to point forward to the kingdom of God and to future events associated with Messiah's return and reign, so their prophetic fulfillment is not yet complete.
