The Whole Word of Yahweh rest on TWO TREES!!!!! Its time for you to understand the TREES OF EDEN - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16nUBj73DuE Transcript: (00:02) foundations are so important anyone that builds a building knows that the foundation is the most important part of the entire structure if you don't get the foundation right then later down the line you'll begin to see cracks and problems in the entire building so it is with the word of God I want to talk to you today about a foundational understanding of the Bible and if you can get this foundational understanding then you'll be able to interpret the scriptures perfectly from Genesis to Revelation and this lesson today is (00:45) going to bring you into a foundational understanding of the entire Bible that Foundation is found in two trees these trees are so very important to the entire word of God now many of you like me grew up in traditional Christianity and we were taught that the two trees in the Garden of Eden the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil and the Tree of Life were trees and they were literal and one tree if you ate of that tree could give you eternal life another tree if you ate of that tree it would give you Eternal death (01:36) now the fact is these are not literal trees that is a foundational understanding that you need to get number one do you honestly believe there is a tree that you can walk up to and eat eternal life do you honestly believe there is a tree that you can walk up to and it will give you knowledge of Good and Evil I think we both know the answer to that the answer is no so that's when you have to understand the language of the scripture how it is written allegorically you have to understand the poetic structuring of the Holy (02:23) scriptures every author that wrote the Bible by the inspiration of of the ruach cadesh the Holy Spirit they all wrote in a different way in a different style and your job as a student of the scripture is to find what is being said now I want to talk about these trees and let you know that they are symbolism their total imagery or allegory of Man's Free Will that's what these two trees represent present and the fact is your entire Bible is about these two trees you'll find that in the beginning of your Bible you'll find the tree at (03:11) the end of your Bible guess what you'll find the same exact tree there was two choices given to mankind you and me have that same Choice every single one of you watching me have your own Garden of Eden you you have your own two trees you have your own Serpent and you also have your own God Yahweh that will talk to you in the cool of the evening in your garden you have the entire setup the very foundation of the Bible is to set your life up and to show you what your life is going to look like what it could look (04:03) like and it all has to do with these two trees so if you get these two trees wrong you won't see them in your own life and therefore the story of the Garden of Eden becomes just that a story a lullabi but the truth is the word of God is a spiritual book and it is written for those that love God and that desire to know him these things are written for our example to warn us to admonish us not to make the same mistakes that Adam and Eve made now the tree of life let's start with that one the tree of life is a symbol of what eternal life it's also (04:52) a symbol of wisdom it's also a symbol of healing so anyone that choos es the tree of life is choosing wisdom healing and eternal life now let's talk about the other tree there's always another thing you'll learn in this story there's always a ju position there's always a dichotomy there's always a black and a white a negative and a positive it is the law of Duality and one thing that these two trees are teaching you is that everything in your life will be filled with the law of Duality and in this situation your Duality is (05:40) life or death now what leads to life or death what's in those two trees in other words the fruit of those trees is what gives you the life or the death so what are the fruit what is the substance what is the uh what's ingrained in those trees number one the Tree of Life what's ingrained in it is wisdom now wisdom is very rare in this world a lot of people have knowledge but wisdom and knowledge are cousins but they're not the same knowledge is just that you know a lot wisdom is knowing how to apply what you know in the fear of God that's (06:34) wisdom how to apply what you know in the fear and the admonition of Yahweh himself if you live your life in wisdom not in carnality but in wisdom and very few do by the way that's why few there be that find it wisdom is what brings forth the fruit of that tree eternal life and healing so let's go to the other tree it produces what separation from God death what is the substance of that tree what is the what's ingrained in that tree it's very simple what's ingrained in that tree is rebellion and carnal knowledge every human being has a desire (07:26) for knowledge nothing wrong with knowledge but something can be very wrong with it if it's carnal knowledge so in this tree you have the attributes of what was found in the heart of Satan a desire to be more than the clay a desire to be like God deciding for yourself instead of some ancient book telling you what is right and what is wrong what is good what is evil there's an innate desire in every human to partake of that other tree that is filled with knowledge and makes you very intelligent makes you so very smart but it makes you then (08:23) question whether someone as smart as you should surrender to a god they've never seen that's the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil in that tree is the way of get everything is about getting knowledge it's about getting understanding it's about being smart it's about you getting the tree of life is filled with the way of give when you become a giver when you don't return evil for evil and you return you give good for evil these two trees are growing in your life and the fruit of them you're going to eat one of (09:09) those fruits sometime in your life Adam and Eve that's exactly what they did yah way told them do not eat of this carnal source of self don't eat from that please don't he said he said uh the day you eat from it you will surely die what do they mean by that it's very simple the only true life there is is in surrender to Yahweh the day you surrender to self is the day that you are spiritually dead you are disconnected from The Source wisdom and the only place you find wisdom is in the word of God and surrendering to the word of God (09:58) Adam and Eve knew about these two choices in their life because every other human on earth has made the or had to make the same choices what would be the consequence of them choosing the wrong tree number one they would be cursed with mortality had they chosen the right tree they would have been blessed with immortality now here's another foundational truth that so many get wrong Adam and Eve even though all of Christianity teaches that they were created uh as Immortal beings and they fell in sin and therefore became Immortal that is not (10:42) true there's no truth to that and here's why if you have eternal life if you are an eternal creature just like Satan you will always be Eternal you cannot die the Bible tells us that the angels in heaven cannot die why they are Eternal so if Adam and Eve would have ever been Eternal as we've all been taught then they could never have died but they were not created as Spirit beings with this Divine light shining through them as so many teach no no no they were created just like the second Adam they were created from the earth they were created (11:22) as humans and those two humans had to make a choice the result fault of that choice would determine if they would gain immortality or if they would gain death they chose death then they would be expelled from the garden now the garden is what it's that place of intimacy with Yahweh there are some people that live in that Garden today they have chosen to enclose thems in the garden of God the garden of wisdom and live there and partake of that tree of life but not Adam and Eve they were expelled now a cherubim was placed in front of that (12:10) tree of life not now this is something people don't understand the cherubim was not put there to guard the Tree of Life from mankind as we've always been taught no no no no no no the word keeping there the Bible said he was sent there to keep the way of the Tree of Life the word keeping there in Hebrews implies future access protecting it for future access so we sort of think okay God sent the angel in so nobody would come near the tree of life no no no no oh no no no he sent that angel in there to make sure that the way to the tree of (12:55) life would be protected and that it would the tree itself would would not die on the earth that the ways of God would be protected and that one day men would find their way to that tree of life and many people in this life have found their way to that tree of life because that angel of Yahweh with that sword which is what is the sword the word oh hallelujah amen the word is what is protecting the wisdom of the tree of life and Yahweh sent his word to make sure that in the future all men would be able to find their way to (13:41) this tree of life now choices is what these two trees are all about and their consequences in our life every one of you one day will be forced to choose a tree y jhua himself had to choose a tree now let's talk about the serpent in the garden and these two trees Bible scholars would have us to believe that we have a snake that's wrapped around a tree talking to Eve we know that's not the case here's how we know it because in the Book of Revelation we have the same garden of Eve we have the same tree of life we have a (14:32) snake in the Book of Revelation and this snake is a talking snake but now he's a dragon the snake has grown into a dragon after all this time still talking still trying to destroy the sons of Adam no this snake beloved was the voice that lives in your garden it was the slithering tongue that lives in your garden and if you have no wisdom if you've not been partaking of the tree of life if you have no wisdom you will listen to the tongue of the serpent now I want you to notice how that serpent seduced the sons of (15:16) Yahweh the way he does you he never ever tried to get Eve to turn against Yahweh he never tried to convince her that Yahweh wasn't real he never tried to turn her into an atheist he never tried to turn her into a reprobate he never told her turn your back on God she never would have but here's how he was successful same way he is with you he got Eve to question how she was being treated by God he got her to believe that Yahweh was not being fair to her he got her to believe that there was more for her she could be so much more (16:09) if Yahweh would quit trying to control her because he knows if he lets go of the bridal she is going to be just like God knowing good From Evil all of a sudden she will not need an ancient book to teach her what's Good and Evil or a god Somewhere in Heaven she would be able to say you know I don't see it that way she would be able to say no uh I don't believe it that way she would be able to decide what's good and what's evil she would be able to decide which scriptures she liked which ones she didn't which ones would apply (16:51) to her which ones would not which one she would disregard as being misinterpreted she would come into a position of godhood instead of surrendering like a servant beloved that snake is in your garden you will hear him every day you will hear his voice but if you have been partaking of the word the pure word of Yahweh every time you hear that voice you'll be able to disregard it because when he says a lie you will quote the word right back to him whenever he tries to tell you someone's holding you down you'll be able to say my steps are (17:36) ordered of the Lord the steps of a righteous man are ordered of the Lord you'll be able to come back when he tells you God has forgotten you you'll come back and say he knows every hair on my head you slithering snake when he comes back and says hey you could be equal to an elder or a pastor or you you could be elevated you don't have to be held down you'll be able to come come back and tell that slithering snake that it's Yahweh the Bible says that exalts a man or takes a man down so you know what when you know when you've (18:12) been eating the WIS the wood of wisdom the wood on that tree is filled with W when you've been eating wisdom wood you'll be able to defy that slithering snake that lives in in your garden Beloved the tree of life is found in the Book of Revelation and we are told that in the Book of Revelation that this tree will be growing where in the garden of God another allegory it will be growing in the garden of God and the Bible says that you and I will eat of the leaves of that tree for eternal life sure surely you don't believe that we're all millions of (19:02) us going to be standing under a tree trying to pick leaves surely you don't believe that if you don't believe that then why do you believe it in Genesis amen no no no this is all allegory and what it's telling you is if you will eat of the wisdom of the word of God there's a scripture in the Book of Proverbs that speaks about wisdom and it says that wisdom wisdom stands and calls Unto the Sons of men my grandmother wrote a song years ago the title of it was doth not wisdom call it said doth not wisdom call oh son of (19:48) man how long will you ignore that voice of wisdom doth not wisdom call oh son of man why die wisdom is saying why do you have to die why must thy footsteps fall to the I call wisdom is saying your footsteps don't have to fall wisdom is saying your footsteps don't have to fall I'm calling to you wisdom is the word of Yahweh wisdom is submission wisdom is the rejection of offenses wisdom is the rejection of being hurt and allowing a voice to convince you that everyone is against you a voice to convince you you were (20:45) overlooked a voice to convince you that you could be more a voice to convince you that you've been walked on surely God wouldn't want that for you but wisdom says why wouldn't you want to be walked on why wouldn't you want to be mistreated are you not promised that by yua himself you will be hated of all men so today as I leave you I want to remind you when you wake up today tomorrow the next day you will wake up in a garden called your mind in that Garden that you live in there are two trees every day there are two choices (21:36) you will have to make one day there was a man just like you his name is yua Jesus the Messiah he woke up he'd been in the wilderness 40 days he was hungry tired thirsty hot for 40 days now yua had been given a promise he had been given a promise to rule and Reign Over the nations of the world that's what his father promised him his father said I'm going to give you all of the earth as your inheritance all things you're going tohit you're going to inherit all things I'm going to give it to you but out there in that Wilderness 40 (22:21) days in the scorching heat didn't look like much of an inheritance matter of fact it looked like like he'd been overlooked a little bit after all there is Satan Lucifer who in fact is God of this world already and here I am yua suffering 40 days to just get closer to my heavenly father while Satan Lucifer hashan is ruling my Earth he didn't suffer and the father gave him this Earth to Rule and govern until someone replaces him how is that fair how is that fair and sure enough in that Garden of yoshua's mind the Bible said Satan appeared to (23:17) yua he didn't physically appear he appeared where he appears for you right there Satan appeared just like he appears in yours every day and what did Satan do same thing he did same thing the snake did in the Garden of Eden slithering tongue he never ever denied Yahweh you'll never hear the voice of Satan and an atheist never they're just poor ignorant fools the Bible said Bible said a fool don't believe there's no God they're just foolish people you'll always hear the voice of Satan and a friend carnal-minded (23:57) friend they'll 'll always encourage that selfish side of you that's been hurt that one that uh that tells you that you need to be Vindicated considered you don't need to be walked on that will always be who he uses to deal with yourself your emotions so there stood yua here comes the snake he says hey how you doing yua hot out here ain't it he said you know what I've got a deal for you same deal I made with Eve here's the deal your father has promised you the nations of the world has he not did he forget to tell you that he (24:45) already gave them to me that's right in Ezekiel and Isaiah did he not tell you that I am the governor of this Earth matter of fact in the New Testament does it not tell the world that I am the god of this age me it's all mine it's all been given to me that's what he said go read the story he said but I'll tell you what I'm going to do I'm going to make you a better deal than God made you I'm going to give you the same thing he promised you I'm going to give you all the kingdoms of the earth uh you and I we're going to co- rule together and (25:25) we're going to we're going to we're it's all yours there you go of half of my kingdom it's yours oh and by the way no Mount Calvary included scratch that no more 40-day fasting you can scratch that you ready to go in business against Yahweh and let's Elevate self it was at that moment that yua stood at two trees it was at that moment when y Yeshua had to dive into that wood of wisdom where did he find it the sword that protects it that's right the angel of Yahweh holds that sword that's the word that protects the (26:13) wisdom of God he reached into that tree he turns around now he never denied that Satan was God of this world he never denied the offer that Satan could do all that he never denied that but here's what he did he took his self saidou know what no it don't look fair but you know what this ain't about me I'm submitted to my heavenly father he says it is written you old snake it is [Music] written that you will not tempt the Lord your God he said look you're hungry call all Angels down they'll feed you God's not fair to you (27:04) Jesus at least he could feed you you've given your whole life to him you've but oh yua knew that he could not make the mistake the same first Adam made he got into that wood of wisdom and he chose the right tree I pray that you'll always always choose the right tree what is the difference one is self one is selflessness one is get get one is give one is me and the other is him have a great day thank you for watching

Summary

1. The importance of biblical foundations — 00:02–01:36 Vaughn compares biblical understanding to the foundation of a building. He teaches that an incorrect foundation produces problems throughout a person's interpretation of scripture. He introduces the two trees of Eden as the foundational symbols necessary for understanding the Bible. 2. The two trees as allegory — 01:36–03:11 Vaughn rejects the literal interpretation of the two trees. He emphasizes the poetic and allegorical character of biblical language. He teaches that the trees represent human free will and the choice between two spiritual paths. 3. Every person has a garden — 03:11–04:52 Vaughn describes each person's life as a personal Garden of Eden. He teaches that the same fundamental choice confronting Adam and Eve confronts every believer. He identifies the tree of life with wisdom, healing, and eternal life. 4. The law of duality — 04:52–06:34 Vaughn explains that the trees represent opposing outcomes. He contrasts life and death, wisdom and rebellion, and knowledge and its proper application. He defines wisdom as applying knowledge in reverence for Yahweh. 5. The way of giving and the way of getting — 06:34–09:09 Vaughn identifies carnal knowledge and rebellion as characteristics of the forbidden tree. He teaches that self-centeredness seeks to receive and elevate itself. He contrasts this with the tree of life, which he associates with giving, selflessness, and returning good for evil. 6. Adam, Eve, and mortality — 09:09–11:22 Vaughn interprets the warning about death as the consequence of surrendering to self. He argues that Adam and Eve were created mortal rather than inherently immortal. He teaches that their choice determined whether they would receive immortality or experience death. 7. The cherubim and the preserved way of life — 11:22–13:41 Vaughn interprets the garden as intimacy with Yahweh. He discusses the cherubim placed at the entrance to Eden. He teaches that the cherubim preserved the way to the tree of life and identifies the sword with the word of Yahweh. 8. The serpent as the voice of temptation — 13:41–16:09 Vaughn connects the serpent in Genesis with the dragon in Revelation. He interprets the serpent as the voice of temptation operating within the individual. He argues that Eve was deceived by questioning Yahweh's fairness rather than by being persuaded that Yahweh did not exist. 9. The temptation of self-rule — 16:09–18:12 Vaughn explains how the serpent's appeal encourages people to decide good and evil for themselves. He applies this to selective obedience and the rejection of scriptural authority. He encourages believers to answer thoughts of resentment and ambition with the word of Yahweh. 10. Wisdom and the tree of life in Revelation — 18:12–20:45 Vaughn returns to the tree of life in Revelation. He interprets its imagery allegorically and connects it with divine wisdom. He refers to wisdom calling to humanity and urges believers to reject offense, resentment, and self-pity. 11. The daily garden of the mind — 20:45–21:36 Vaughn reminds listeners that they confront the two trees every day. He describes the mind as the personal garden where choices are made. He introduces Yeshua's wilderness temptation as another example of the same conflict. 12. Yeshua's wilderness temptation — 21:36–25:25 Vaughn recounts Yeshua's forty-day fast and the promise of an earthly inheritance. He describes Satan offering Yeshua the kingdoms of the world without the suffering of his appointed mission. He interprets the temptation as an invitation to seek personal advancement apart from submission to the Father. 13. Yeshua chooses the right tree — 25:25–27:04 Vaughn teaches that Yeshua resisted temptation by appealing to scripture. He contrasts Yeshua's obedience with Adam's disobedience. He closes by urging listeners to choose selflessness rather than self-centeredness.

Core doctrine

Dr. Shane Vaughn teaches that the two trees in the Garden of Eden provide a foundational pattern for understanding scripture from Genesis to Revelation. He argues that the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil are not literal botanical trees but allegorical representations of the two choices confronting humanity. In his interpretation, the entire biblical narrative repeatedly presents the choice between submission to Yahweh and submission to self. Vaughn emphasizes that understanding the symbolic language of scripture is essential to interpreting the biblical message. He teaches that the inspired writers used poetry, imagery, and allegory to communicate spiritual realities. He therefore rejects a strictly literal understanding of the two trees and urges believers to identify their meaning in everyday life. He describes every individual as possessing a personal Garden of Eden. This garden represents the mind and the place where daily moral and spiritual decisions are made. Within that garden, Vaughn teaches, are the same two trees, the same voice of temptation, and the same opportunity to hear Yahweh that confronted Adam and Eve. Vaughn identifies the tree of life with wisdom, healing, and eternal life. He defines wisdom as the proper application of knowledge in reverence and submission to Yahweh. He distinguishes wisdom from mere intellectual knowledge, arguing that information alone does not produce spiritual life unless it is governed by the word of Yahweh. He associates the tree of the knowledge of good and evil with rebellion, carnality, self-centeredness, and the desire for independence from divine authority. He teaches that the danger of this tree is not knowledge itself but the use of knowledge to elevate personal judgment above the commandments and instruction of Yahweh. Vaughn describes these alternatives as the law of duality. He teaches that human beings continually encounter opposing choices such as life and death, wisdom and rebellion, giving and getting, and submission and self-rule. He argues that the spiritual direction of a person's life is determined by which choice that person repeatedly makes. He identifies the tree of life with the way of giving and the other tree with the way of getting. In his teaching, selflessness, generosity, forgiveness, and returning good for evil are expressions of the tree of life. Personal ambition, resentment, entitlement, and the pursuit of advantage at the expense of others are expressions of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Vaughn interprets Yahweh's warning to Adam and Eve concerning death as a warning about the consequences of surrendering to self. He teaches that spiritual death begins when an individual separates from the source of wisdom by rejecting divine authority. He connects this separation with the mortality and suffering that followed humanity's disobedience. He rejects the belief that Adam and Eve were created inherently immortal and subsequently lost an immortality they already possessed. He argues that they were created as mortal human beings with the opportunity to receive immortality through the correct choice. According to his interpretation, their disobedience resulted in death rather than the loss of an already established immortal nature. Vaughn interprets the garden as a place of intimacy with Yahweh. He teaches that expulsion from Eden symbolizes separation from that intimacy through rebellion. Nevertheless, he argues that the way back to the tree of life was preserved for humanity. He gives particular attention to the cherubim stationed at the entrance to Eden. Rather than interpreting the cherubim only as preventing human access to the tree of life, Vaughn teaches that the angel was appointed to preserve the way to the tree for future generations. He associates the flaming sword with the word of Yahweh and teaches that divine instruction preserves the wisdom necessary to return to the way of life. Vaughn connects the tree of life in Genesis with the tree of life described in Revelation. He regards their appearance at the beginning and end of scripture as evidence of the unity of the biblical message. He interprets the tree and its healing properties as spiritual imagery communicating the life-giving power of Yahweh's wisdom. He also interprets the serpent as a representation of the voice of temptation operating within the human mind. He connects the serpent in Eden with the dragon in Revelation and teaches that the same adversarial influence continues to challenge humanity. In his presentation, the serpent's most effective method is not necessarily denying Yahweh's existence but persuading people to question Yahweh's goodness and fairness. Vaughn teaches that the serpent persuaded Eve to believe that divine authority was withholding something desirable from her. He interprets the temptation as an invitation to determine good and evil independently rather than submitting to Yahweh's instruction. He applies this temptation to believers who selectively accept scripture according to personal preferences or reject correction because it conflicts with their desires. He emphasizes that temptation frequently appeals to feelings of being overlooked, mistreated, undervalued, or denied recognition. He warns that resentment and wounded pride can become opportunities for the voice of rebellion to influence a believer's decisions. Vaughn teaches that the word of Yahweh provides the defense against this deception. He encourages believers to respond to accusations, resentment, and self-centered thoughts with scripture rather than personal emotion. He associates the preserved sword of Eden with the believer's continuing access to divine wisdom. He describes wisdom as the willingness to remain faithful even when obedience involves suffering, mistreatment, or the surrender of personal advancement. He contrasts the desire to be vindicated with the willingness to trust Yahweh's authority and timing. In his teaching, the tree of life is expressed through humility, forgiveness, and submission rather than personal entitlement. Vaughn presents Yeshua's wilderness temptation as the clearest example of the same choice confronting Adam and Eve. He teaches that Yeshua faced an opportunity to receive the kingdoms of the world without enduring the suffering associated with his appointed mission. He interprets Satan's offer as a temptation to pursue a promised inheritance through self-advancement rather than obedience to the Father. He argues that Yeshua chose the tree of life by relying upon scripture and remaining submitted to Yahweh. Vaughn contrasts this decision with Adam's failure and presents Messiah as the example of overcoming temptation through wisdom and obedience. Vaughn also teaches that the temptation of Yeshua should be understood as a spiritual confrontation involving the mind rather than necessarily a physical appearance of Satan. This is part of his allegorical interpretation of the wilderness narrative. He concludes that the choice between the two trees is repeated every day. Each person must decide whether to follow the desires of self or the wisdom of Yahweh. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil represents the pursuit of self, while the tree of life represents surrender, giving, and selflessness. His final appeal is for believers to choose the tree of life consistently.
