His weapon of choice is more refined: a well-tailored suit, a lawyer’s cadence, and the foggy pretense of human rights. As columnist Melanie Phillips blistered in response: “Today’s accomplices to barbarism aren’t dressed in jackboots or the braid of a junta generalissimo. They wear the suit and earnest spectacles of a human rights lawyer.
