good evening everybody Shane Von here first Harvest Ministries um I got to talk to you about something that I believe changes the whole um scenario concerning um the Lord's Sabbath I hope everybody's having a good evening it's the end of my work day and I'm so excited to be coming to you live with what I'm about to teach you I need 10 minutes we've been wrong about something and anytime you talk to someone anytime you talk to someone about the Sabbath uh we've got to talk about this we've been very wrong about something please I ask you to give me just a few minutes to tell you what I have found that I believe will make you think again um if you talk to anyone about the Sabbath day the first thing they tell you about is the scriptures concerning the first day of the week they will bring you uh to John 20: 19 1 Corinthians 16 and they'll show you how the apostles gathered on the first day of the week you got to hear this there's a great Revelation that we've just now come across that I believe deserves your attention uh every person that's against Sabbath keeping they have a few scriptures that show that the church met on the first day of the week but ladies and gentlemen my brothers and sisters in Christ there has been a great fraud God uh inhibited upon the church and I want to show it to you do you mind all right I want you to go with me to John 20: 19 and uh let's see exactly what the word of God says please stay with me this is going to be worth your attention especially if you're serious about the scriptures you got to hang tight we've been wrong we've been very very wrong uh and some of you watching me will have to reconsider your stance on this subject all right John 20 And1 says the first day of the week Came Mary Magdalene early when it was yet dark unto the seler ladies and gentlemen it's a fraud the whole translation is a fraud there is zero I'm telling you zero first day of the week scriptures in the Bible let me prove it to you all right the original Greek if the those of you that have a strong concordance those of you that know how to use your Bible appps prove me and see if what I'm saying is truth go look up the word in the original Greek there is no such thing as the first day of the week it's not there in the King James Bible this is a huge translation error and this must be corrected go to the strongest concordance and and we're going to prove to you what we're saying are you ready good first of all the word day the word day look in your King James Bibles come on open it up look in it go look go to John 20 And1 oh Hallelujah your eyes are fixing to open if you got eyes to see in verse one of chapter of John chapter 20 you tell me what word is italicized there what word is italicized I'm not going to answer you answer it study this book what word is italicized in John 20 and 1 I do believe it's the word day there's a reason for that and all King James Bibles will will admit they've admitted the word day into these scriptures because they could not make sense out of what it really said now the Greek word for the for the word first uh I want should look it up it's strongs g3391 find the Greek word for the word first take the word day out the word day is not in the Original Scriptures now go find the Greek word for first you're going to find it's the Greek word Mia Mi a and it does not mean first oh good God it don't mean first it means one ah I challenge you look it up it means one the word first was put there by the translators and it's very suspicious of why they put first there because every other time in their writings when it meant first they Ed the Greek word protos p r o t oos they have a word for first and it's not Mia it's protos so why in this verse do they put the word first for Mia which means one oh Satan is good at what he does to deceive God church now so it is never the word first is not in this verse what you've got is in verse one of John chapter 20 is one take the word day out it don't belong there one and then we come to the word weak brothers and sisters what uh go look up the Greek word for the word weak just go look it up go look up the Greek word for the word weak you're going to be surprised the word weak is a mistranslation in John 20 and 1 the first should be one the word day should not be in there and then the word weak is a gross mistranslation you'll never guess what word they're using to translate into week by God and good God from Zion it is the word sabat hallelujah set just go look it up it's it's G 4521 in the strongs and it's the word word sabats or Sabbath Hallelujah good God from Zion now if you want to read John 20 And1 properly in the original before King James and his friends messed it up here is what it would say one of the sabbaths that's exactly what it would say I didn't write it that's the original that the word first is wrong it's one the word day should never been put in the word weak is the Greek word sabats for Sabbath this scripture should read on one of the sabbaths Came Mary Magdalene early when it was yet dark see she came in the dark and listen you have got to understand this was one of the sabbaths and that's exactly when yua rose from the dead right while it was getting dark at the changing of the day and so I just thought that was so ironic and then let's go to another scripture this one says in Acts 20 and7 and upon the first day of the week again that should not say the first day of the week it shouldn't say that at all it should say it's exactly like the other one on one of the sabbaths when the disciples came together to break bread Paul preached to them that's what the original says on one of the Sabbath not the first day of the week that's a gross error we got to get it right and I hope and pray that you will do that in Acts 20 and6 and we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread and came unto troas in five days where we Abode seven days John 20 and 19 uh 1 Corinthians 16 and 21 now concerning the collection for the Saints upon one of the sabbaths you shall lay aside in store as God has Pro prospered you it does not say the first day of the week that is wrong that is wrong that is wrong I'll go back over it again for those that are just joining where it says the first day of the week it is the word Mia for Greek which means one the word day should not be in there and the word week is the Greek word sabats so it should say on one of the sabbaths let us continue to grow in truth I love every one of you and I greet you all in that beautiful name the name of yua the Lord Jesus Christ name above all names may we strive to understand the scriptures as the holy spirit opens our eyes God bless you tonight
Summary
This message teaches that the traditional “first day of the week” argument against Sabbath keeping rests on mistranslated scriptures. The speaker focuses on John 20:1, Acts 20:7, and 1 Corinthians 16:2, arguing that the original Greek points to “one of the Sabbaths” rather than Sunday. The teaching frames this as a correction needed for believers who want to understand the Scriptures accurately.
