"The death rate is dramatically lower than last year" - SO WHY ARE WE SHUTTING DOWN? - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grURHmkfSeM Transcript: (00:02) and so um you also are seeing because of the the senior population uh having the very high vaccine I think it's 90% of seniors in Dade County you guys are seeing a significant reduction in mortality compared to last summer correct we uh mortalities this uh summer are not nowhere close to what they were last summer I mean dramatically less uh and again uh we feel that that's got to be the case we don't know again if it's if it's a matter of where we are in the stage of this peak but we feel like uh uh because the people that we're seeing (00:36) are younger they're not anywhere close to those uh 60 and 65 years of age and older that we seeing last year we're not getting those 75 and 85 year olds that we were getting last year uh so we think that the uh uh the actual death rates will be dramatically less than what we s expected last last summer
