(107) Shane Vaughn Teaches - "Did God Die To Remarry Israel?" - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N20_syLx9S0 Transcript: (00:00) can God die very simple question and it seems like it would have a very simple answer but you would be surprised throughout Christendom how many Christians believe that in fact God whom I will refer to by his proper Hebrew name Yahweh indeed died on a place called golgatha on a structure called the cross Lo everyone even from Catholicism to um Hebrew roots and everywhere in between believes that God Yahweh came to Earth and died for our sins in this video we're going to deal with an answer to this question it seems (00:55) like we wouldn't have to even deal with this because the very question is a total nonse secar it doesn't even fit in the the Theology of an eternal God so I want you to get your Bibles and we're going to answer that question and then we're going to also answer another question among the Messianic Hebrew Roots groups it is often taught that Yahweh was married to is Israel and according to Torah the only way that Yahweh could remarry Israel was if in fact he died to end that marriage covenant and I'm going to be honest with (01:46) you this is a subject that's got to be dealt with I've put off dealing with it for a while because I wanted to know beyond the shadow of a doubt that we had the truth on this matter and I believe at the end of this video very brief video you're going to see clearly how impossible it is for God to die hello I'm Shane Von I am the founding minister at first Harvest Ministries and the founding Bishop of unity International we have a Bible College where we teach and train students in the word of God and this lesson that you're getting (02:28) right now is a l lesson that will forever change your thinking right after this brief message we're coming back to answer these two questions [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] in this hand I have a cup it's a cup made out of plastic that's the composition of this cup now if I tell you that this cup can never change that (03:34) it's going to always be a cup it will always be made out of plastic it will always be in a round shape and it will always hold liquid if I tell you that that will never change and yet tomorrow in this hand I'm holding a phone made out of Carbonite and I tell you here's the cup you would think that I was a fool you would think that I had lost my mind but yet you don't find it strange when the church tells you that God never changes Yahweh Malachi chter 3 Verse 6 I am Yahweh and I change not I will never change I have never changed (04:35) it's impossible for me to change all right I get that that's called the doctrine of immutability and as you study theology this is a doctrine that you need to understand immutability means unchanging no change he's the same yesterday today and forever that is a cardinal Cornerstone in the faith of the Apostles now this phone is a total different substance than the cup but yet you're trying to convince me that the cup has changed it has morphed into a something totally different but we're still going to call it a cup it's (05:20) impossible to do as a matter of fact it is the definition of absurdity in the Christian church we have embraced a theology that simply says Yahweh is Spirit now why do we Embrace that theology because yua Jesus himself taught us while he was on the earth that his father is Spirit he also taught us when speaking about the little children he said that their Angels talking about the children do behold my father's face which is in in heaven now if Yahweh is spirit and he never changes then you must explain to me how (06:12) he changed from Spirit to Flesh and Blood now this Doctrine was created by the Catholic church and the name of that Doctrine is the hypostatic union I want you to put that in your notes hypo static Union basically it's a fancy word for a bunch of bull that that's what it is and that and that made up a a mishmash of a mystery which is what they say it is it's a mystery that logic cannot understand and I don't believe that for one minute because it is the Father's good pleasure to reveal the Mysteries to his sons there's no mysteries about God (07:03) to the sons of God now they call that the hypostatic union and this Doctrine says that God is both he is spirit and Flesh and Blood my friends it's impossible it cannot be so now what I want to do in this in this lesson is I want to deal with a specific area of theology ol especially among the Hebrew roots and the Messianic people now I have lost precious friends over what I'm about to teach good people that I love and I know they love me but we see this differently and I want to give you our version here at first Harvest Ministries (07:53) of how we understand the concept of God having to die I want you to think about that I just would you do me a favor if you're watching this lesson I want you to just say out loud God died God died now after you get through saying that to me I want you to be honest and tell me how crazy that sounds to you God the Eternal one the beginning the end the one that's Everlasting the one that says he cannot die I want you to tell me how that makes any sense that God died yet the Hebrew roots and the messianics believe that in fact Yahweh (08:49) had to die now if you're watching me you don't know the word Yahweh it's very simple that's the proper Hebrew name for God the Creator Yeshua for Jesus um so if the father Yahweh was married to Israel there is a law in the Torah that says that if a man puts away his wife that he cannot take her back all right Yahweh was married to Israel and in fact yahwe put her away in divorce now we often thought thought that Yahweh was going to remarry Israel and therefore we knew that was impossible because Yahweh would have to (09:41) die since he was the original husband in order to marry Israel if it's a little confusing I apologize but many of those that believe that know exactly what I'm talking about today I want to help you understand how it's possible that Yahweh could redeem Israel without having to die let's go to Romans 7:3 and verse four and we're going to read this together go ahead get your Bibles don't ever believe anything that I teach go to the word rightly divide and bring the whole word of God together don't isolate a verse let's take it all from Genesis (10:25) to Revelation and see what the word of God says number one we know what the word of God says that God is immutable he cannot change now my friend if you're alive and then the next day you're dead you have what you have changed God can't change so therefore it's impossible you must always know that if you're serving a God that died then my friend you are not serving the god of the Hebrews the god of the Bible you're serving an anti God another God but not the god of scripture he uh Romans 7:3 through verse4 know ye not (11:10) Brethren how that the law has dominion over a man so long as he liveth for the woman which has a husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth but if the husband is dead she is loosed from the law of her husband or in other words the Covenant of her marriage so then while her hus if while her husband liveth she be married to another man she shall be called an adulteress but if her husband be dead she is free from the law so that she is not an adulteress though she be married to another man I want you to underline (11:58) that word married write it down to another man would you I'm going to put that in parentheses look at that another man put that in your mind if if the marriage covenant has ended she can marry another man all right let's keep reading wherefore my breth now before I read the rest of this verse cuz we're fixing to get into the meat of this verse if you're watching me right now and you're married let me ask you a question when you made your vows in your wedding how long did you make a vow for how long is the Covenant good for answer (12:55) me you're right till death do us part what does death do on either party the husband or the wife what does Death Do It Ends the Covenant of marriage death ends that Covenant now sir let me ask you a question if you're watching me right now and you're married if your wife was to pass away tomorrow she's in the grave she's resting waiting for for the resurrection is your marriage covenant still binding upon you no of course not you know it's not so you are free to remarry same for the wife if her husband dies she's free from the Covenant that (13:47) she was under now for some reason the Hebrew roots and the messianics believe that Yahweh had to die in order to marry Israel again let's deal with it now in these verses Paul is speaking about the law of death how that it dis anals the marriage covenant now he speaking about the husband in this verse simply because this is the issue that he was dealing with in this verse but I want to pick up where we left off he said wherefore my brethren or in other words because of this law children of Israel the house of Israel my (14:40) brethren you now watch this you are dead notice those words you Israel the wife of Yahweh you are dead you're dead not Yahweh but you are dead you had to die to end that old Covenant of the Old Testament you had to die not Yahweh stay with me he said you are become dead to the law what law the old Covenant that they were under married to Yahweh on Mount SII he said you are dead all right how are they dead how are we dead you and I how did that happen it's very very very simple he's going to answer it in (15:45) the next phrase by the body of Messiah because of [Applause] Christ you are dead you there was two parties under the old Covenant marriage Yahweh and Israel natural Israel Earthly Israel there was a marriage covenant that existed but he said you have died the wife the old wife that rebellious wife that natural Hagar has died because of messiah in other words words you died that's the reason yua came so that in him you could live and breathe and have your being in him you could die and listen to the next verse why did Christ die it tells you so (16:53) that you Hallelujah so that you could be married to another and that other is yua the son of Yahweh listen to me carefully he said Christ came and died you died with him remember what the scripture says that we were with him we died with him and because of that because of Christ you are now free you to marry somebody else not Yahweh no no no you're free to marry a total different husband a different entity completely you're no longer bound to the old Covenant law of marriage that you were under with Yahweh you're free (17:45) you died in the waters of baptism you died the old woman was left in the water and a new woman a brand new creation a new Israel a New Jerusalem a Sarah instead of a Hagar came forth from the Waters of baptism even to him who is raised from the dead that we should bring forth fruit unto Yahweh now wait a minute what is fruit fruit is children Offspring the one that we're going to marry is not Yahweh we're going to bring fruit unto yah way which is The Offspring of this Union between the Heavenly groom and the Earthly bride now (18:37) let me explain to you what the messianics and the Hebrew Roots Believers believe this is the Theology of the Messianic the messianics believe that Israel was Yahweh old Covenant wife that Yahweh had to divorce her for idolatry and according to the law a man cannot remarry his wife from whom he has divorced however Yahweh had promised Israel a New Covenant that he would remarry her Yahweh dies according to them to release Israel so that she could lawfully marry again therefore since Yahweh had to remarry Israel himself he (19:33) simply became a man Jesus and died and then raised himself back from the dead so that he could remarry his old wife without breaking the law according to Romans 7:4 now this false interpretation contains interesting facets just enough correct points to make it seem well researched and credible I'll be the first to admit that when I first heard this teaching it made perfect sense it really did and I believed it until here lately you see as we grow in God we're knowing in God as we're growing we're knowing and the (20:24) things we knew yesterday we may be different tomorrow because we're on a journey into the full revelation of the perfect day now the theory is correct that yahwe being Israel's old Covenant husband that's correct Yahweh was Israel's old Covenant husband it is also correct about his divorcing her for unfaithfulness now Romans 7 and 1-4 does address the issue but but the churches have misinterpreted verse three and verse 4 so as to totally pervert their true meaning Yahweh did indeed promise Israel a New Covenant and a new marriage (21:18) however it was not Yahweh the old husband that was destined to die rather it was Israel the old wife remember that not the old husband but the old wife would have to die note this well at the point of water baptism you died in Christ you were completely over with whoever you were before baptism no long longer exist you arose a totally different creature the Bible said old things are passed away behold All Things become brand new that means when you went in the water and you came up in his matchless name you were somebody the (22:16) world has never known before you were somebody Yahweh had never known before you were a brand new creature with a brand new identity a brand new one woman no longer Hagar the woman of the flesh but Sarah the woman of the promise the old you died and ended the curse of your divorce from yah way when you came out of the water you were no longer a divorced woman you were a virgin all over again you see we don't understand the power of water baptism that's why yua was water baptized to be our example that he might (23:01) fulfill all of the requirements of Mikvah which is baptism now Israel died the Bible said he that liveth in sin is dead while he's alive that's what the Bible said Israel died Yahweh did not die and Mark this down well Yahweh cannot die however the death of Israel the Lost tribes the death of them when they come into the New Covenant through Messiah they come in no longer the old man but remember what Paul said together the old Israel is coming together with the Lost tribes to create a new Israel or a New Jerusalem remember when the (23:51) angel of the Lord told John in the Book of Revelation come a little higher and I will show you the Bride of Messiah mesiah the New Jerusalem now if Jerusalem is the capital of Israel you could just as easily say the new Israel now let me clarify something here the new Israel is not the replacement of old Israel no no no no no no it is the Regeneration or the restoration or the renewing of old Israel and the tri of Judah together one new man replacement theology is a doctrine of demons that's not what we're saying we are saying that (24:37) the old woman the old natural Israel has to come through yua to be part of the new Israel which has been washed in his blood now remember that these are reborn Israelites if you will or reconceived Israelites brand new creatures spotlessly clean in the Mikvah or baptism this body of reborn Israel is then the new bride or the New Jerusalem and the Risen yua is the bridegroom whom Yahweh provided for her remember the Bible says that everything that was ever created was created for yua and through yua for him the bride this new bride was (25:30) not created for Yahweh this was created for his son yua now let's look again at Romans chapter 7 and let's look at verse number four specifically remember that when you read Romans 7 it says that the wife is bound to her husband as long as they both b o t h as long as they both live that's what it says go read it she's bound as long as they both live but now look at verse number four wherefore my brethren you are dead d e a d graveyard dead do you see the husband was not the one that had to die it was you Israel who became dead (26:22) now let's go read Ephesians and Colossians and we're going to prove this from the word of God Romans chapter 6:3 know ye not that as many of you as were baptized into yua hamashiach Jesus Christ were baptized into his what his what death now remember what he told us in the previous verses Romans 7: 3 and 4 what did he say you are dead here he tells us how you are dead Romans 6 and3 don't you know that when you were baptized you died therefore verse four we are buried with him by baptism into death let me tell you if your church does not teach (27:11) the necessity of water baptism run out the back door if baptism is not a central focus of the church you go to you're in Babylon and you need to come out of her water baptism is essential because it is faith exemplified without baptism you never had saving Faith because faith without works does not exist so if you've not performed the work of baptism you never had enough Faith to save you amen now verse number four we are buried by by uh with him by baptism into death that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by (27:54) the glory of the father Christ didn't even raise himself from the dead the father did even so we also walk in the brand new life a brand new life Hallelujah for he that is dead is free from sin now if we are dead with Christ we believe that we shall live with him likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed un to sin remember why did Yahweh put fleshly Israel away because of what sin Rebellion but this new bride is walking in the fullness of the spirit she's walking after the spirit and not after the flesh therefore there's no (28:46) condemnation for her she's an obedient bride and therefore a total new creature and old Israel will come into that same experience as the Lost tribe among the Gentiles have come into now verse 8 for if we be dead with Christ we shall live with him verse 11 go to verse 11 likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead but alive unto Yahweh through yua in other words if you are not in yua if you are not hidden in him through water baptism and faith in his atoning sacrifice then you are still that old wife and you cannot marry another you (29:40) are divorced you have the shame of divorce you have been put away but when you die with Christ and water baptism oh blessed be his name you are now recognized in Christ remember to Eve the first Adam Eve was flesh of his flesh bone of his bone there was no separation in them Eve was recognized through Adam the same applies to the second Adam when he came up from the dead we were recognized as bone of his bone flesh of his flesh we are now married to another oh Hallelujah now reborn or Reb begotten Israelites is what we call (30:29) New Israel New Israel or New Jerusalem same thing she is the bride old Israel old Israel is not in the bride until they come through the Covenant of yua I don't care who your daddy was you've got to come through the blood now Gentiles cannot come into the bride unless they come through the blood this is the New yua Covenant that you and I are now part of Hallelujah now josua is the bridegroom the marriage is completely new you got to get this stuff out of your mind that we are remarrying Yahweh no beloved that woman (31:27) is dead she's dead she died in her sin and she's not alive until she comes alive with yua as a new creature in Christ Hallelujah the wife now is a virgin she's free to remarry the groom is the heir of Yahweh now if you will consider this what I'm about to say you will find that it fits with the scripture first of all there are many problems with the concept of Yahweh remarrying Israel I want to deal with that right now remarrying Israel think about that we've already dealt with the fact that Yahweh cannot die now if Yahweh (32:18) cannot die that means he cannot be raised from the dead even if Yahweh could die let's just stretch the thought let's just say that Yahweh could die well if he could then there would be no God left to run the universe there would be no God left to raise him from the dead if he's dead if he's not hey folks dead means knock knock dead non-existent now the reason I harp on the message what happens to the dead is because if you don't understand what happens to the dead you will be thinking that even though yua died it wasn't (32:58) really dead because you believe in gnosticism Greek philosophy rather than Bible truth I'm going to tell y'all something you better get your doctrines right people often ask me what is the most important lesson we teach here at first harvest they are surprised when we tell them what happens to the dead that is what I believe because when you get that one wrong you get so many others wrong incl cluding this one because if you believe that death is not final it's not non-existence if you believe it's just a different dimension then yeah I could (33:39) see where you could mess up with this God can't die well it's not really dead no I believe dead means dead ain't nobody spooking nobody around here it's demons that's all dead means dead now so we're going to suppose that God died who's going to raise him back to life there's no God out there if God is dead now God could not Yahweh could not marry old Israel because now follow me closely she is a and she has been divorced there were specific laws about the high priest in the Torah now all of my Hebrew Roots friends out there you (34:32) want to talk about Torah and that that's the reason Yahweh had to die well let's talk about Torah because in Leviticus 21 1-7 we are told that a high priest can never marry a or a divorced wife all right so let's say that Yahweh died and that he ended the marriage covenant when he died now he's going to Remar us and bring us back that would be impossible he's a he he can't do it because he's violating his own law because he said in his law that the high priest could not remarry a or a divorced wife and if he died and took (35:22) us back he's taking back a divorced wife it won't work work you can't make it work no matter how hard you try and now you say you say well maybe Yahweh would marry this new Reborn Israel instead of that old but you see the new Israel is not the old Israel you got to get that in your mind the power of water baptism the power of a new creation if you are a new creation NW if you're truly brand new then that means that the old woman don't even exist no more he he can't remarry her she's dead see it's impossible now (36:10) Yeshua could marry her because she's a new woman a totally different creation according to the Hebrew roach Doctrine Yahweh must remarry the old Israel but even yahweh's own law prevents it even if the old repented and washed up a bit she's still unfit for the high priest furthermore if she dies and is reborn then she's no longer the old wife anymore and she cannot fulfill the position of remarrying Yahweh it's absurdity beloved it's absurdity you he can't remarry a and if she's no longer a because she's a new creature then the (37:00) woman he's marrying is not the old Israel and therefore he's not remarrying somebody I I wish I could simplify it so you could get this Yahweh put away a woman she died in her sins no longer existed if he remarries her after he dies he's marrying a divorced woman a well brother V I thought you said she was baptized and she's a new creature great perfect point if he marries that one that's not remarrying because that's not the same creation it it's really simple it's really simple it's really simple and yet we over (37:44) complicate it so much if she dies and is reborn she is not the old wife anymore and cannot fulfill that position of remarrying Yahweh New Israel New Jerusalem is not old Israel please get that in your mind New Israel is not old Israel the New Covenant is not the old Covenant it's the renewed Covenant with a brand new wife now old Israel is the racial descendants of Jacob New Israel is Reborn born from among those natural descendants of Jacob because they are the Seed of Abraham not all of old Israel keep this in mind stay with me not (38:42) all of old Israel is New Israel not all of the old is new not all of it not all of it some yes because they've come through the yua Covenant therefore they are two entities and we need to understand this they are two different women remember Hagar Sarah just put that in your mind Hagar is the old Israel the Earthly fleshly rebellious one the one that was out of Covenant she died Sarah is the wife of Promise she's the new Israel of which old Israel will come into but only through the yua Covenant now therefore there two (39:35) entities distinguished from one another new Israel is out of old Israel but not all of old Israel is in New Israel now to understand this better go read Romans chapter 9 6-8 Romans 9 6-8 and that will explain what I just taught you new Israel is identified as the children of the promise old Israel is identified as the children of the flesh therefore the old wife is not the new wife Romans 7:4 says that the new wife is to be married to somebody else other than the old husband Yahweh therefore New Israel New Jerusalem is (40:26) married to the son the Risen son that is heir of all creation remember this Yahweh did not die scripture does not say he died he cannot die those who claim he had to die to remarry old Israel simply do not understand the scriptures many times when we teach on this subject people will say well brother V why would the son be allowed to marry the woman that was married to Yahweh if you still have that question you've not gotten anything from this lesson Beloved the son is not married to the woman that was married to Yahweh no (41:11) not at all the son is married to an entirely New Creation somebody that was never married to Yahweh New Israel born of the spirit produced in water baptism through the yua Covenant the old woman dies the new woman lives remember two separate entities beloved it is imperative that you do not worship the wrong God the god of the Greeks a God that can die I declare to the world Yahweh is immutable he is eternal he changes not he put away his wife and death she died she died in her sin to God but Yahweh saw the end from (42:08) the beginning Yahweh knew that in the old Covenant he had to marry Israel because the son yua heir of all things had not yet come on the scene and had not yet proven himself to be an obedient son of Yahweh therefore when yua came and passed every test he said in the word that now all power in Heaven and Earth has been given unto me and guess what else was given unto him the bride that was meant for him from the beginning Yahweh married an old an old Earthly rebellious people but Yeshua is marrying a woman begotten of the spirit pure and (43:03) holy that will live with him through all eternity and produce fruit unto Yahweh if this lesson has Summary

The message confronts the belief that Yahweh had to die in order to remarry Israel. It teaches that Yahweh was the old covenant husband of Israel, but the one who died was Israel through the body of Messiah, ending the old covenant marriage condition. Through baptism, the old woman dies and a new creation comes forth, making New Israel fit to be married to Yahshua. The teaching rejects incarnation theology and emphasizes Yahweh’s immutability and Yahshua’s role as the resurrected bridegroom.
