I I could tell everyone was pretty much family they were all Hispanic and they were family I could tell brothers and sisters and the mama Hispanic lady owned this Tower shop (02:28) and they were so nice when we pulled up they immediately came to the car and Allied all my concerns that they didn't know what they were doing and uh she went back found the new tires that I needed well we we decided that we would catch an Uber and go have lunch while they put our new tires on when we got ready to come back there were no Ubers available to bring us back so we called them and they said no problem I'm going to send my daughter to pick y'all up what was her name anybody remember Mary Mary Mar Mariana (03:09) Marana and so here comes Mariana and picks us up beautiful young hispanic lady I would say early 20s we get to talking and she starts talking about the Hispanic Community here in the Smoky Mountains and she starts expressing her frustration at the Hispanic community and she said my father came here 27 years ago legally to the United States and her mother from H Venezuela or Honduras Honduras Honduras from Honduras and she said and then my mother came legally to the United States and then she says I was born here in the (04:04) United States of America and she was I believe she has two children and she was telling how she works every day at the tire shop with her family and she said but I get so frustrated at the Hispanic Community here in our town she said because none of them they complain they can't find jobs they don't learn the language they complain that nobody will hire them because they don't know how to speak English and she said and then so many of them are just you know on drugs and she's talking about her own people now so this is not me saying this Security number pay my taxes work hard she said and I go to try to get a little help for my two children for food stamps and I get denied every time she said but all of my friends that are illegal insurance and she began to tell the stories of how all of her friends now this is not me telling it this is her all of her friends that are illegal have full coverage insurance food stamps everything they need and this young girl beautiful girl girl hardworking can't get anything pays her own child care pays her what her own child care and she was just telling this story she didn't know I was I vote for Donald Trump and she said they they can't believe I vote for Donald Trump but she says my people when they go to vote they may not say they vote for Donald Trump but they all remember how good life was When Donald Trump was president and how bad it is now I knew right then that silent majority that silent majority is about to hit the polls and by the way us garbage people are about to Summary

In this commentary, Professor Toto describes visiting a Hispanic-owned tire shop and meeting a young woman named Mariana. According to the speaker, Mariana’s parents immigrated legally, built a family business, and raised her in the United States. She is portrayed as hardworking but frustrated that she allegedly cannot obtain public assistance while undocumented people she knows receive food and health benefits. The speaker says Mariana supports Donald Trump and uses her story to argue that a quiet or hidden group of Hispanic voters will help Trump win. He also encourages local listeners to patronize the family’s business as an example of legal immigration and the American dream. The only unmistakably identifiable Scripture is Numbers 6:24, quoted in the closing blessing.
