Shane Vaughn ——— First Harvest Ministries International 1 no man knoweth the day nor the hour that is one of the most repeated phrases and I call it the great Christian copout it's repeated by nominal Christians those that really are just not interested in studying the scriptures so to deflect from their lack of study they want to tell those of us that do study in time events oh no man knoweth the day nor the Hour May maybe you have said that very same thing yourself I promise you if you will give me three minutes you will never make that mistake again because in fact when yua said no man knoweth the day or the hour he was in fact telling you exactly 2 when he would return can I explain to you please let me he was born a Jewish boy to a Jewish mama Jewish brothers and sisters grew up going to a Jewish school went to a Jewish church and became a Jewish rabbi so as you can imagine his mindset his Customs his Traditions that's right they were all Jewish so let me explain to you one Jewish custom that he would have acquiesced to all of his life he kept the seven festivals of his father as we all should and he kept those festivals every single year of his 33 years of life never missed one however of the seven festivals there is one that is very 3 unique in the way that it's referred to most of the festivals they can tell you the date and the hour when that Festival would begin because the Jews of that day were on a moon-based calendar and the the the festival that was they were not able to determine the time that it would begin was one out of seven it was called rashash Shana or the Feast of Trumpets on the Feast of trumpets it was determined by a very specific moon sighting and they could not tell when that Festival would be so it became known among the Jewish population when being referred to as the day that no man knoweth because 4 truly they didn't so when yosua was speaking to his disciples answering their question about his return rather than telling them they don't know when he's returning he was telling them exactly when he was returning he would be returning on the day that no man knoweth now why do we know this because he's never failed to show up when he was supposed to as a matter of fact at his first coming he appeared right on time on a holy festival for his birth and know that was not December the 25th the next time he came after he ascended to Heaven he said me and my father will come and make our Abode with 5 you in the presence of the Holy Spirit but he said we will not come until a certain day we know that day to be Shavuot or the Feast of Pentecost he said go to Jerusalem and don't leave until that holy day and we will show up on time because we keep the father's dates exactly well you would be hard pressed to make me believe that he's not going to follow that exact same pattern for his second coming because after all he never changes the next coming of Christ will be at the Feast of trumpets rashash Shana why because the very Feast itself is the annual rehearsal for the second coming of Christ 6 that's why we keep it that's why we celebrate it it's still a shadow of something yet to happen and ladies and gentlemen this is what the scripture means when it says no man knoweth the day nor the hour for those that have ears to hear he was telling them exactly when he will return now we will admit we don't know what year we don't know what decade but we do know what day no not the hour because remember the that particular day in different time zones and different parts of the country comes at different times so of course we can't pinpoint the moment but we do know the day we do know because 7 he told us plainly have a great day everybody
