SERMON TITLE: DANCING IN THE RAIN — The Drought, The Cloud, The Coming Kingdom Acts 3:19 - Hosea 6:3 - Zach 10:1 How many of you drove through the rain? We planted a garden. We laid seed in the earth with faith— and we cried out for rain. Not just any rain—a strong, soaking, covenant-aƯirming rain. And Yahweh heard us. That rain did not just nourish the soil—it prophesied. It told us - THE SEED WOULD SURVIVE THE SUMMER - it had been SET - Now - we would just PRAY for the LATTER RAINS As we were driving from home, the rain began. It continued throughout our two-day pilgrimage. And in the midst of it, I heard the Spirit whisper: “Watch the rain.” I turned to Mom and Dad and said, “I have no idea what I’m preaching at Pentecost.” But Yahweh answered. He said, “The rain will be your message. Watch the rain.” A WORD TO THE HOUSEHOLD OF FAITH This feast serves the foremost purpose of FHMI. It is so vital that you understand the concept of FIRST, not just in word, but in spirit. If you do not grasp the divine principle of the First, you will either leave this ministry or worse, you will remain with a religious spirit. Let me make something clear: we are not THE ONLY—but we are the FIRST. Yahweh has a pattern, and that pattern always begins with a remnant. Not all of Israel was chosen to enter the Land first —only the faithful spies. Not every priest carried the Ark —only the Kohathites. And not every believer will carry the weight of the Latter Rain—only the Firstfruits. This message will either refine you or oƯend you, because the flesh despises order, rank, and divine sequence. But the Spirit honors it. The First is not about pride—it’s about responsibility. God in the beginning ordained in the earth the orderly progression of the seasons. Most areas of the world experience what is spoken of as a rainy or wet season and a dry season. In the land of Israel, between the early and latter rains, there was a period of great dryness and dearth. The pools dried up and the brooks ceased to flow. But there was a wise design in the dryness, even as there was a beneficent purpose in the rain. It was the time when under the intense heat of the sun the grain was able to develop in a particular stage. From Church history we learn that the Lord visits the earth with seasons of refreshing—from the Reformation, the Great Awakening, to the Pentecostal outpouring and the Latter Rain movement. These are waves of divine purpose. And just as the rains come and then lift for a season, so does the glory. In times of dryness, the elect are tested: will the seed mature, or wither? Each refreshing begins with the sovereign move of the Spirit —not through permission from pulpits or systems, but by divine initiative. He raises up a Luther, a Wesley, or a prophetic voice with fire in their bones. But every wave is only part of the greater unfolding. What many call "this is it!" becomes but a stepping-stone in the river of Yahweh’s purpose. Latter Rain was glorious—but He is not stopping there. A SEED OF TRUTH IS PLANTED in each REFRESHING from the PRESENCE OF THE LORD - It begins with A BANG OF RAIN - to help it ENDURE THE SUMMER - It is here that the Remnant is formed. It is here that sonship matures. KEY SCRIPTURE CONTEXT: THE DROUGHT, THE WORD, AND THE PATTERN The story of Elijah opens with a thunderous decree: “As Yahweh, the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, surely there shall be neither dew nor rain these years, except by my word.” (1 Kings 17:1) This was no ordinary drought. THIS WAS A DROUGHT WITH PURPOSE to make way for THE MINISTRY OF ELIJAH But this physical drought pointed to something deeper: “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord GOD, “When I will send a famine on the land—not a famine for bread or a thirst for water, but rather for hearing the words of Yahweh.” (Amos 8:11) Elijah’s drought sets the prophetic blueprint:  Natural famine in Israel → a shadow of the spiritual drought in our day  A time when truth becomes scarce, and the Word is only found in the mouths of the remnant There is a popular teaching that just before the return of Yahshua, there will be a great worldwide revival—a mighty "latter rain" outpouring that stirs up the earth in one final global move. But I must tell you plainly: this is not what the Bible teaches. There is no passage in the Word of Yahweh that promises a last -days global revival before the coming of Messiah. What is promised is far more profound: the rain itself—former and latter—is the coming of Yahshua. Just as the former rain came moderately through the Spirit of Christ at Pentecost, initiating the work of the early assembly, so the latter rain comes in fullness to complete that work. It is not an event that precedes His coming—it is His coming to His people in Spirit, in glory, and in manifestation. The glory that once filled the ancient Tabernacle when the work was complete will again fill a greater Tabernacle: the corporate Body of Christ, brought to maturity, purified, and prepared. His coming as the latter rain is not a preliminary revival —it is the glory of His indwelling presence in His Bride. Elijah’s ministry forms the prophetic blueprint for the last- days outpouring: 1. Trumpets (Yom Teruah): Elijah raises the widow’s son — a type of resurrection. 2. Atonement (Yom Kippur): Elijah confronts the prophets of Baal — the end of paganism, the removal of Satan’s authority. 3. Tabernacles (Sukkot): Elijah calls forth the rain — the outpouring of the Spirit for ingathering. This sequence—resurrection, confrontation, outpouring—is Yahweh’s divine pattern for restoration. The name Jezebel means “Where is the prince?”—an expression of confusion, of disorder, of the absence of rightful authority.  Jezebel = Mystery Babylon, the false church, the usurping spirit  Ahab = the compromised king, a picture of abdication and passive leadership  Elijah = the uncompromising prophetic voice  The small cloud = the sign of dominion, restoration, and the coming Kingdom “And Elijah said to Ahab, ‘Go up, eat and drink, for there is the sound of abundance of rain.’” (1 Kings 18:41) Elijah told Ahab, “I hear the sound.” But nothing had yet appeared. He told his servant to go look toward the sea. The servant looked—nothing. Elijah sent him again. Seven times. And on the seventh, a cloud appeared. Not a storm. Not thunder. Just a cloud the size of a man’s hand. But that was enough. “And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, ‘Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand.’” (1 Kings 18:44) This is the prophetic sign of dominion rising—the Kingdom breaking through, the Bride being revealed, the latter rain beginning. We are now in that moment—the cloud has risen. The voice is being heard. The remnant is responding. And the Kingdom is drawing near. PART 6: THE PROPHETIC FUTURE OF THE BRIDE (10 MIN) Rain is not just weather. Rain is prophecy. Rain is timing. Rain is testimony that the heavens have responded. But what causes rain to fall? “For He maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapor thereof.” (Job 36:27) Rain falls according to the vapor thereof—meaning, the earth must first call for it. No rain comes until the earth is ready to receive it. Before the flood of Noah, the earth opened up, the fountains of the deep broke loose, and that water rose upward and formed the clouds. Then—rain came down. So too in our generation: when the hunger in our hearts rises like vapor to heaven, the Latter Rain will come. And it is coming now. We are in the spiritual summer season of Yahuwah’s redemptive plan—a time for sowing seeds and pulling weeds, for preparing and maintaining the land for the next harvest. “Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in Yahuwah your Elohim, for He hath given you the former rain moderately, and He will cause to come down for you the rain —the former and the latter rain in the first month.” (Joel 2:23) Text: Joel 2:23–29 | Hosea 6:3 | James 5:7–8 Let us begin by understanding what the word "rain" means in the Hebrew tongue. In Joel 2:23, the word translated as "rain" is moreh (מוֹרֶ ה), which also means teacher. The Latter Rain is not just an emotional revival—it is the arrival of the Teacher, the Spirit of Truth, to bring the Bride to maturity.  The former rain (yoreh) comes in the fall and begins the agricultural cycle.  The latter rain (malqosh) comes in the spring, right before harvest. "Then shall we know, if we follow on to know Yahweh: His going forth is prepared as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth." (Hosea 6:3) The Day of Pentecost was the seed -setting rain—the early rain —that fell upon the firstfruits in the upper room. But the return ministry of Elijah will call forth the abundance of rain that he once told Ahab he heard. “And Elijah said to Ahab, ‘Go up, eat and drink, for there is the sound of abundance of rain.’” (1 Kings 18:41) Before that rain came, there was a small cloud, the size of a man's hand. This is the sign of dominion, the hand of Yahweh rising. The Latter Rain is not the revival before Christ’s coming—it is His coming in Spirit to dwell in His people:  Just as the former rain fell at Pentecost to birth the Church,  So the latter rain falls to bring the Bride to full stature. “Be patient therefore, brethren... until he receive the early and latter rain.” (James 5:7) This rain is teaching rain, refining rain, maturing rain. “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh...” (Joel 2:28) But before this global outpouring comes to all, it falls first on Zion—on the firstfruits company, the overcomers, the matured sons. WE HAVE A UNIQUE PROPHECY concerning the end times - found in Text: Joel 2:23 | “Be glad then, ye children of Zion... and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.” However, the Hebrew does not contain the word “month”. it is not in the original Hebrew text. What the Hebrew says: The Hebrew phrase is: בָּרִ אוֹשׁן (ba -rishon) — meaning “in the beginning” or “at the first.” So the correct rendering is: “He will cause the former and latter rain to come down at the beginning...” The Latter Rain is not coming at the end of this age in the typical sense—it is coming at the beginning of the Day of Yahweh. It aligns with Elijah’s cloud appearing at the start of the 7th day. This phrase “in the beginning” matches the prophetic shift from Church age to Kingdom age, and from seed to maturity. So how can both rains fall at once? 꺜 Here’s the Prophetic Key: The early rain (yoreh) is the planting rain—the one that softens the soil and allows seed to be received. The latter rain (malqosh) is the ripening rain—it brings the crop to maturity just before harvest. In the agricultural cycle of ancient Israel, these rains fell months apart. But Joel prophesies that at the beginning of the Day of Yahweh—the 7th day, the Kingdom Age—both rains will fall together. We must ask for this rain! It does not fall on spectators. It falls on the hungry. Ask—and Yahweh will create bright clouds. Ask—and He will send showers. “He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.” (Psalm 72:6) FINAL CALL TO THE REMNANT (5 MIN) The Spirit is not falling on the crowd. It is falling on the first. The fire is not resting on performance. It is resting on preparation. The Bride is being awakened. The hand is rising from the sea. The altar is being rebuilt. “I hear the sound of abundance of rain.” (1 Kings 18:41) The drought is over. The cloud has appeared. The rain is beginning to fall. Let the overcomers rise. Let the virgins trim their lamps. Let the sons take their places. Let all of Zion shout with one voice: LET. IT. RAIN.
