OPENING — THE EARTH STILL
PREACHES
Brothers and sisters, before I open the Word this morning,
I want you to put your minds in the right place. We did not
come here to play religion. We did not come here to sing
two songs, hear a clever message, and shake hands on the
way out the door.
We came here because YAHWEH appointed
this day.
Shavuot is not a Sunday morning special. It is one of the
three pilgrimage feasts of the Most High, and what is
about to be revealed in this house was hidden inside this
feast from the foundation of the world.
The greatest tragedy of modern Christianity is
that it has reduced the feasts of YAHWEH into
isolated religious holidays.
Men celebrate Shavuot like it is a birthday party for the
church. They light candles. They sing happy birthday to an
institution that was never born on Pentecost. They wave a
flag at Acts chapter two and then go on with business as
usual on Monday morning. They have no idea that what
happened in Acts two was the climax of a process that
began in a barley field weeks earlier and was finished on
the threshing floor of Heaven.
Beloved, YAHWEH did not give us feasts so we could
decorate them. He gave us feasts so we could
understand Him. Everything in creation was designed
to testify of the Creator. The stars preach. The seasons
preach. The harvest preaches. The seed preaches. The
crushing of grain preaches. YAHWEH tied His appointed
times to the agricultural cycle of the land because the earth
itself was designed to reveal spiritual truth to those with
eyes to see it.
When you do not understand how grain becomes
bread, you do not understand how YAHWEH
makes a man.
When you do not understand the harvest, you do
not understand the harvest of souls.
When you do not understand Shavuot, you do not
understand the five-fold function of the ministry.
So sit down. Open your Bibles. Get your notepad ready.
Tell your stomach it can wait.
Because the wheat is going to preach this
morning.
The Roadmap — Where We Are Going Today
Before we begin, let me tell you exactly where we are going
so you can travel with me.
Today we will follow YAHWEH's wheat through
six stages — gathering, threshing, winnowing,
roasting, grinding, and fire — and we will see
how each stage reveals the five-fold ministry.
Stage one — gathering — the work of the evangelist.
Stage two — threshing — the work of the prophet.
Stage three — winnowing — the work of the apostle.
Stage four — roasting — the work of the pastor.
Stage five — grinding — the work of the teacher.
Stage six — fire — the finishing work of the Holy Spirit.
A Word About the Order
Now some of you with sharp ears will notice that this order
does not match the order in Ephesians 4. Paul lists
apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers.
But this morning I will preach them in the order of the
harvest — evangelist first, apostle third. Let me explain.
Ephesians lists the governmental order. The
harvest reveals the processing order.
These are not contradictions. They are two views
of the same ministry.
Ephesians shows you the chain of authority — how
YAHWEH ordains, sets, and arranges these functions in
the house. The apostle stands first in governmental rank
because the apostle lays the foundation that everything
else is built upon. But when you walk out into the field and
follow a kernel of wheat from the world to the wave loaf,
the apostle does not show up first. The evangelist meets
the kernel in the field. The prophet meets it on the
threshing floor. The apostle meets it where the wind
blows.
Authority order is not process order. And both
are revealed in scripture.
PART ONE — THE FEAST THAT
BURNS
Shavuot Is Not a Memory. Shavuot Is a
Pattern.
Turn with me to Leviticus chapter twenty-three. This is the
chapter where YAHWEH stands up and personally
identifies His own appointed times. Not man's appointed
times. Not the rabbinic appointed times. Not the church
calendar appointed times. His.
These are the feasts of YAHWEH, even holy
convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their
seasons. — Leviticus 23:4
Notice He calls them holy convocations. The Hebrew word
is miqra, and it means a rehearsal. A dress rehearsal. A
summoning. Every one of these feasts is a rehearsal of
something YAHWEH is going to do on the earth.
Passover was a rehearsal — and YAHSHUA
fulfilled it on the very day, at the very hour, on the
very mountain.
First Fruits was a rehearsal — and YAHSHUA rose
from the dead on the very day, as the very
firstfruits of them that slept.
Shavuot was a rehearsal — and the Spirit fell in
Acts chapter two on the very day.
Why the Feasts Still Bind the Assembly
Now some of you have been taught that these feasts were
abolished at the cross — that they were Jewish, that they
were ceremonial, that they passed away when Messiah
came. I want to lay that error in the grave this morning
and bury it where it belongs.
Read what YAHWEH Himself said when He instituted
them:
It shall be a statute for ever throughout your
generations in all your dwellings. — Leviticus
23:14, 21, 31
Three times in one chapter YAHWEH calls these feasts a
statute for ever. Not until the cross. Not until Pentecost.
Not until the canon closed. For ever.
YAHWEH does not change His calendar. Men
change their calendars. YAHWEH keeps His.
And listen to what the prophet Isaiah saw in the age to
come, when all things are restored:
And it shall come to pass, that from one new
moon to another, and from one sabbath to
another, shall all flesh come to worship before
me, saith YAHWEH. — Isaiah 66:23
In the Kingdom that is coming — the Seventh
Millennium — ALL FLESH will worship by
YAHWEH'S calendar. Not Rome's calendar. Not
Constantine's calendar. Not the calendar of a
denominational committee.
If the feasts are eternal in the age to come, they did not
stop in this present age. They are not Jewish holidays.
They are prophetic appointments — meeting places
between Heaven and earth that YAHWEH Himself
appointed, and which His people have always kept and will
always keep until time itself is folded up.
That is why we are here. That is why this
morning matters.
So when we come to Shavuot, we are not celebrating
something that happened once. We are participating in
something that is still happening. The same Spirit that
fell on Sinai. The same Spirit that fell in the upper room.
The same Spirit that prepares wheat for the millstone is
the same Spirit that is going to fall on this Remnant before
the Seventh Millennium opens.
The Two Mountains, the One Fire
Now hear me carefully. Most preachers will tell you
Shavuot has two great moments in history. The first is
Mount Sinai. The second is the upper room in Acts two.
They treat them as two separate events.
I am telling you this morning they are ONE
EVENT TOLD TWICE.
Five Parallels That Prove It
Do not take my word for this. Watch the pattern unfold in
five steps. If even one of these does not hold, dismiss what
I am telling you. But if all five hold — and they do — then
you must reckon with what the Spirit was showing you all
along.
PARALLEL ONE — Divine Descent
And YAHWEH came down upon mount Sinai, on
the top of the mount. — Exodus 19:20
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven...
and it filled all the house where they were
sitting. — Acts 2:2
At Sinai, YAHWEH came down on a mountain. In Acts 2,
He came down on a house. Both descents originated in
Heaven. Both descents happened on Shavuot.
PARALLEL TWO — Fire
And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke,
because YAHWEH descended upon it in fire. —
Exodus 19:18
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues
like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. —
Acts 2:3
At Sinai, fire on the mountain. In Acts 2, fire on the men.
The same fire that consumed the bush, that fell on the
altar, that crowned the mountain — that fire came down
again on Shavuot.
PARALLEL THREE — Voice / Utterance
And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long,
and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and
YAHWEH answered him by a voice. — Exodus
19:19
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and
began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit
gave them utterance. — Acts 2:4
At Sinai, one voice from Heaven thundering Torah. In Acts
2, one Spirit speaking through one hundred and twenty
mouths in every language of the earth. The same Word.
Now multiplied. Now portable. Now ready for the nations.
PARALLEL FOUR — Covenant Formation
And he took the book of the covenant, and read
in the audience of the people: and they said, All
that YAHWEH hath said will we do, and be
obedient. — Exodus 24:7
Then they that gladly received his word were
baptized: and the same day there were added
unto them about three thousand souls. — Acts
2:41
At Sinai, a covenant sealed in blood and the people
responded. In Acts 2, a covenant sealed in baptism and the
people responded. Same feast. Same response. Same
covenant-making YAHWEH.
PARALLEL FIVE — Public Witness
And let them be ready against the third day: for
the third day YAHWEH will come down in the
sight of all the people upon mount Sinai. —
Exodus 19:11
And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews,
devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
— Acts 2:5
At Sinai, a whole people watching. In Acts 2, every nation
under heaven watching. YAHWEH does not move in secret
on Shavuot. He moves in the sight of witnesses, because
the harvest of Shavuot is a public loaf lifted up before the
nations.
Five parallels. Same feast. Same Spirit. Same
fire. Same purpose.
The first Shavuot wrote Torah on tablets of stone. The
second Shavuot wrote Torah on tablets of flesh. The first
descended on a mountain. The second descended on men
who had become the mountain. The first formed a nation
out of slaves. The second began the formation of the
priesthood that would rule with Messiah in the age to
come.
YAHWEH finishes His harvest in fire. He does not
finish it in worship music. He does not finish it in
sermons. He does not finish it in clever programs.
He finishes it in FIRE.
The Two Loaves — A Mystery Hidden in Plain
Sight
In Leviticus 23, when YAHWEH institutes Shavuot, He
commands something extraordinary:
Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave
loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine
flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are
the firstfruits unto YAHWEH. — Leviticus
23:17
Two loaves. Baked with leaven. Waved before the Most
High as firstfruits. Now beloved, this is not a small detail.
YAHWEH did not say one loaf. He did not say three
loaves. He said TWO. And every number in Torah carries
a testimony.
Why two? Because YAHWEH has TWO
HOUSES.
This is the Shavuot mystery the church has walked
past for two thousand years. The two loaves of
Leviticus 23 are JUDAH AND EPHRAIM — the
divided house of Israel — gathered, processed, and
finally lifted together as ONE firstfruits offering
before YAHWEH.
Listen to what the prophet Ezekiel saw centuries before
Shavuot was fulfilled:
Take thee one stick, and write upon it, For
Judah, and for the children of Israel his
companions: then take another stick, and write
upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for
all the house of Israel his companions... And join
them one to another into one stick; and they
shall become one in thine hand. — Ezekiel
37:16–17
Two sticks. ONE hand. Two loaves. ONE wave
offering.
Both loaves were leavened — because both houses still
carried the residue of the flesh, both houses had failed,
both houses had been scattered, both houses were still
human. Both loaves were finished by fire — because
YAHWEH'S fire arrests the rot in both. Both loaves were
waved together — because the firstfruits offering of
Shavuot is not Judah alone, and it is not Ephraim alone. It
is the reunited house of Israel.
Now read Acts 2 with new eyes. Who was in
Jerusalem on that Shavuot? Devout men FROM
EVERY NATION UNDER HEAVEN. The dispersed
of both houses. Judah was present in the city.
Ephraim was scattered among the nations and had
returned for the feast.
And what did the Spirit do? He fell on them all. He gave
them one tongue made of many tongues. He gathered one
body out of two scattered houses. He fulfilled in one feast
day what Ezekiel had prophesied across centuries.
Shavuot is the feast of the REUNITED HOUSE.
This is why I have labored my whole ministry on the Two-
House restoration. This is why we proclaim the Sacred
Name to both houses. This is why FHMI is gathering
Judah and Ephraim together under one covenant roof.
Because the two loaves of Shavuot are still waiting to be
fully lifted before YAHWEH — and they will be, before the
Seventh Millennium opens.
Beloved, you are not just a kernel in the harvest.
You are part of one of TWO LOAVES that
YAHWEH is preparing to wave before all the
nations of the earth.
Bread on Fire
You cannot wave raw dough before YAHWEH.
You cannot wave grain. You cannot wave flour.
You must wave a FINISHED LOAF.
And a loaf only exists after the wheat has gone through
every single stage I am about to lay before you this
morning.
YAHWEH is not after seekers. He is not after
attenders. He is not after admirers. He is after
BREAD.
Did you hear me, beloved? YAHWEH is making bread.
And every one of you sitting in this room is, somewhere on
the journey, a kernel of His wheat.
PART TWO — THE TARES, THE
FIELD, AND THE EVANGELIST
The Field Was Always the World
Before we can talk about the apostolic, before we can talk
about prophets, before we can even talk about the
threshing floor, we have to start where the harvest started
— in the field.
Messiah Himself said in Matthew 13:38, "The field is the
world." Not the church. The world. YAHWEH's harvest
field is not a denomination. It is not a building. It is not a
mailing list.
The field is the whole earth, and in that field grow
two things side by side — wheat and tares.
Now I have taught you in our Lost Tribes parable series
about wheat and tares. The tares are zizania, a
counterfeit darnel that grows up looking exactly like wheat
until the harvest. You cannot tell them apart by their
leaves. You cannot tell them apart by their stalks. You
cannot tell them apart by their height.
You can only tell them apart when the HEAD
forms — because tares produce a black,
poisonous, useless seed while wheat produces
golden, life-giving grain.
This is why so much of what looks like the Body in this
generation is not the Body. The leaves are right. The stalks
are right. The height is right. But when the head forms, the
seed is black, and the seed is what feeds the nations.
YAHWEH did not panic about the tares. The servants
asked, "Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?"
And the Master said no. Why? Because in pulling up the
tares you would damage the wheat. YAHWEH has
intentionally allowed mixture in the field until the
time of harvest, and the harvesting itself is what separates
the kernels from the counterfeits.
The Evangelist Enters the Field
Now into this mixed field walks the evangelist.
The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers
are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the
harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his
harvest. — Matthew 9:37–38
The evangelist is the FIRST STAGE of the five-
fold function as it relates to the harvest.
He goes into the field. He preaches the message of
separation. He calls people out of the world. He is the
gatherer. He does not finish the work. He does not pretend
to finish the work. He simply initiates the work by
getting the wheat off the world's ground and onto
YAHWEH's threshing floor.
This is what Philip was doing in Samaria. This is what
Peter was doing on Shavuot when three thousand were
added in a single day. This is what Paul did when he stood
on Mars Hill. The evangelist is a gatherer. He is a voice in
the field crying come out from among them and be ye
separate.
But hear me, beloved, this is where the modern
church has built its entire mountain.
It has reduced ministry to evangelism. It has reduced
salvation to a sinner's prayer. It has reduced harvest to a
head count. It thinks once a kernel of wheat is gathered
out of the field, the work is finished.
It is not finished. It has barely begun.
Gathered wheat is not bread. Gathered wheat is not even
flour. Gathered wheat is not even safe yet. Standing in the
field does not make wheat into bread.
It just means the process has STARTED.
PART THREE — THE THRESHING
FLOOR AND THE PROPHET
The wheat is in the barn. Now the husk must come
off.
From the Field to the Floor
Once the wheat was gathered out of the field, the
harvesters did not take it home. They did not take it to a
barn. They did not take it to a parade. They took it to the
threshing floor.
The threshing floor in ancient Israel was a hard, flat,
exposed surface — usually on a hill, usually on bedrock,
where the wind could reach it. Threshing floors were open
ground. They had no walls. They had no roof. They had
no decoration. The threshing floor was where everything
hidden was made visible, and where everything attached
was broken loose.
Now listen carefully — every great threshing floor
in scripture is also a place of ENCOUNTER WITH
YAHWEH.
It was on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite that
David built the altar that stopped the plague (1 Chronicles
21). And on that same threshing floor, his son Solomon
built the Temple (2 Chronicles 3:1).
The very ground that received the threshing of
the wheat became the ground that received the
dwelling of YAHWEH.
Selah on that. Because the threshing floor is where the
husk is removed. And until the husk is removed, the wheat
cannot be near the holy fire.
This is the work of the prophet.
The Prophet Is a Hammer, Not a Cheerleader
Modern believers do not understand the prophet.
They have been fed a counterfeit prophetic for so long that
they think a prophet is a man who tells you what you
already want to hear with more spiritual vocabulary
attached.
A prophet is not a cheerleader. A prophet is not
your personal fortune-teller. A prophet is not the
man you call to confirm a decision you have
already made in your flesh.
A prophet is a THRESHING INSTRUMENT in
the hand of YAHWEH.
Is not my word like as a fire? saith YAHWEH;
and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in
pieces? — Jeremiah 23:29
Fire and hammer. That is prophetic vocabulary. The
prophet brings the word that exposes the husk. The
prophet brings the word that separates the kernel from
the shell. The prophet brings the word that makes you
uncomfortable, because comfort is the very thing the
husk is built upon.
Look at Elijah. He showed up unannounced and told Ahab
the rain was stopping. No introduction. No flattering
preamble. Just a hammer to the husk of the nation.
Look at Jeremiah. He stood at the gate of the Temple and
announced that the very Temple they were trusting in
would be burned to the ground because their lives were a
lie.
Look at John the Baptist. He looked at the religious
leadership of his day and called them a generation of
vipers. He did not say brother. He did not say teacher. He
said vipers.
Why? Because the threshing floor is not where
flesh gets stroked. It is where flesh gets BEATEN.
Why You Cannot Skip the Floor
There are believers in this house and listening
across our network who have run from the
threshing floor for thirty years.
Every time a true prophetic word came near you, you
found a softer pulpit, a sweeter teacher, a more
comfortable doctrine. You ran from Hebrews twelve. You
ran from the Father's chastening hand.
But beloved, what you actually called Pharisee was
THE FATHER trying to remove your husk.
You cannot skip the threshing floor and still
become bread.
If you will not let the threshing fall on you in this
life, the threshing will fall on you in the Day of
YAHWEH.
YAHWEH is going to have a wave loaf. The only question
is whether you choose to be threshed now in a covenant
house, or whether you are threshed later under judgment.
The prophet, then, is not your enemy. The prophet is the
mercy of YAHWEH coming in the form of a hammer to
rescue the kernel from the shell that would have destroyed
it.
PART FOUR — THE APOSTLE AND
THE WIND
The husk is broken. Now the breath of YAHWEH
must blow.
Now We Come to the Heart of This Sermon
Beloved, I have set the table. Now I want to spend the
longest portion of this message on the third stage of the
harvest, because this is the stage the modern church
understands the least.
This is the stage of WINNOWING.
This is the stage of the APOSTLE.
The breath of YAHWEH is about to move across
the field of His people in a way the modern church
has never seen. And when it begins to blow, only
an apostolic foundation will be left standing.
Everything built on personality will be carried
away as chaff. Everything built on emotion will
be carried away as chaff. Everything built on
entertainment, performance, tradition,
denominational pride — all of it — will be carried
away as chaff.
Only what was built apostolically according to
the heavenly pattern will remain.
What Winnowing Actually Is
Let me lay the picture down. After the wheat was threshed
on the floor, the husk had been broken away from the
kernel. But broken-away husk does not automatically
leave. It just lays there next to the wheat. The threshing
floor at this stage is a chaotic mess — a mixed pile of
cracked husks, broken straw, dust, and true kernels all
tumbled together.
So the threshers would take a winnowing fork — a
wide, flat wooden fork — and they would scoop the mixed
pile up into the air. They would throw it into the wind.
The wind would do something the threshing alone
could not do. The wind would SEPARATE BY
WEIGHT.
The chaff is light. The chaff cannot stand against the
breath of moving air. So the wind catches the chaff and
carries it away. Meanwhile, the true kernel is heavy. The
true kernel has substance. The true kernel has weight.
Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly
purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the
garner; but he will burn up the chaff with
unquenchable fire. — Matthew 3:12
And the wind in scripture is one thing — the
RUACH. The Spirit. The Breath of YAHWEH.
What Substance Actually Is
Now I want to be specific here, because I have used the
word substance several times this morning and I do not
want it to remain a poetic word in your mind. Let me tell
you what substance actually consists of, because you need
to be able to examine yourself against it.
Substance is covenant weight. And covenant
weight has five components.
Component one — OBEDIENCE. Not perfect
performance, but a settled yes to YAHWEH'S Torah when
no one is watching. The kernel that obeys in secret has
weight. The kernel that performs in public has only
feathers.
Component two — COVENANT FIDELITY.
Faithfulness to the people YAHWEH has joined you to —
your spouse, your house, your covenant body, your
spiritual oversight. Loyalty under pressure. Showing up
when it costs you. Staying when leaving would be easier.
Component three — TESTED CHARACTER. Not
character that has merely been claimed but character that
has been proven through trial. Joseph had character
claimed in Potiphar's house and character proven in the
prison. The wind tests what was formed.
Component four — DOCTRINAL SOLIDITY. Truth
held against pressure. The willingness to say YAHSHUA
is the Son of YAHWEH, not a separate deity when
the whole religious world is screaming Trinity at you. The
willingness to keep the feasts when every Sunday-church
neighbor calls you legalistic. Doctrinal weight is what
kernels carry when the wind tries to lift them.
Component five — SPIRITUAL ENDURANCE. The
capacity to keep believing, keep obeying, keep loving when
the answer has not come, when the prayer has not been
heard, when the trial has not lifted. Endurance is the
heaviest of all because it accumulates over time.
The wind does not create substance. It reveals it.
The breath of YAHWEH does not make a kernel
weighty in the moment of testing — it uncovers
whether covenant weight was formed there all
along.
Beloved, examine yourselves against those five.
Obedience. Covenant fidelity. Tested character.
Doctrinal solidity. Spiritual endurance. The
breath of YAHWEH is going to expose what is
actually in you. Better to know now than to know
later.
The Apostle Stands Where the Wind Is
The apostle, beloved, stands in the place where the Ruach
blows. He does not generate the wind. He cannot. The
breath of YAHWEH belongs to YAHWEH and no man
owns it. But the apostle stands in the place where it has
been appointed to blow, and that place is the place of
foundation.
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles
and prophets, YAHSHUA the Messiah himself
being the chief corner stone. — Ephesians 2:20
The apostle is a foundation-layer.
Hear me carefully. The apostle is not the cornerstone.
There is only one cornerstone, and His name is
YAHSHUA. The apostle is the foundation laid on top
of the cornerstone — the bedrock platform on which
the rest of the house is built.
A Necessary Clarification
Before we go further, let me make a distinction the
modern church has confused. When scripture speaks of
apostolic ministry, it speaks of three things that often
overlap but are not identical.
There is the apostolic office — the standing YAHWEH
grants to a man, sealed by His will and confirmed by the
saints. There is the apostolic grace — the anointing the
Spirit pours through that office, sometimes resting on
others who do not hold the office permanently. And there
is the apostolic foundation — the actual work that gets
laid in the earth, the doctrine, the order, the pattern that
endures.
A man may carry the grace without holding the
office. A man may hold the office without laying
the foundation. But where all three converge —
office, grace, and foundation — you are looking at
a true sent one of YAHWEH.
Office is what YAHWEH grants. Grace is what
He pours. Foundation is what gets built. All
three are required for fullness.
And foundations have one job. Foundations have
to be ABLE TO BEAR THE WEIGHT OF THE
SHAKING.
You can build a beautiful house on a bad
foundation. It will look right for a while. And
then one day the breath of YAHWEH passes
through. And the entire structure comes down —
not because the storm was unusual, but because
the foundation was never apostolic. It was
decorative. It was sentimental. It was
personality-based.
When the final winnowing comes to His people
in this hour, the only thing left standing on the
threshing floor will be what was FOUNDED
APOSTOLICALLY.
Apostolic Means Foundational
Beloved, let me give you the meaning of this word from its
root. Apostolos in Greek simply means one sent out.
But the sending is not the title. The sending is the
function.
An apostle is one sent out by YAHWEH to lay
foundation in a place where there was no
foundation, or to repair foundation in a place
where the foundation was broken.
According to the grace of YAHWEH which is
given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have
laid the foundation, and another buildeth
thereon. But let every man take heed how he
buildeth thereupon. — 1 Corinthians 3:10
Paul called himself a masterbuilder. The Greek is
architekton — literally the chief architect. Not the
decorator. Not the painter. Not the landscaper. The man
who lays the foundation according to the original blueprint
of the chief architect.
What is the blueprint? Heaven.
See that thou make all things according to the
pattern shewed to thee in the mount. —
Hebrews 8:5 / Exodus 25:40
The apostle is the man who has seen the pattern
from the mount, and who lays the foundation on
the ground in the exact image of what he saw
above.
This is why apostolic ministry is so violently
opposed by the religious system.
Because the apostle does not come to validate what man
has already built. The apostle comes to tear down what
does not match the pattern and to re-lay what was never
founded correctly to begin with.
Six Marks of True Apostolic Authority
Now I want to give you six marks of true apostolic
authority so you will recognize it when the separating gust
of the Spirit begins to blow.
MARK ONE — The Apostle Is Sent By YAHWEH,
Not Appointed By Men
Paul began nearly every epistle with the same opening —
"Paul, an apostle of YAHSHUA the Messiah, by
the will of YAHWEH." He did not say by the will of a
council. He did not say by graduation from a seminary.
He said BY THE WILL OF YAHWEH.
If a man's apostleship can be revoked by a
committee, he was never an apostle. He was a
corporate officer with a title.
MARK TWO — The Apostle Lays Foundation That
Survives Him
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 3, "I have laid the
foundation, and another buildeth thereon."
You can test an apostolic ministry by this — WHAT
IS STILL STANDING AFTER HE IS GONE?
If the only thing standing after a man dies is the memory
of his personality, he was not apostolic. He was
charismatic. An apostle leaves a foundation that
supports generations he will never meet.
The apostle has to be willing to plant trees
whose shade he will never sit under.
MARK THREE — The Apostle Establishes Pattern,
Not Preference
The apostle does not bring his own opinions. The
apostle does not bring his cultural preferences.
The apostle does not bring his denominational
training.
The apostle brings the PATTERN FROM THE
MOUNT.
He says thus saith YAHWEH, not thus saith my
heritage.
When Paul confronted Peter to his face at Antioch in
Galatians 2, he was not being divisive. He was defending
apostolic pattern against rising tradition.
The pattern said there is neither Jew nor Greek in
Messiah. Tradition was sneaking back in and
trying to rebuild the wall. Paul stood up and said
NO. That is apostolic.
MARK FOUR — The Apostle Carries Signs That
Follow
Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought
among you in all patience, in signs, and
wonders, and mighty deeds. — 2 Corinthians
12:12
The apostolic carries demonstration. Not theater. Not
staged performance. Not emotional manipulation. Real
demonstration of the kingdom.
But hear me — the modern signs-and-wonders
movement has counterfeited this so badly that
many have grown skeptical. Do not throw out the
genuine because the counterfeit deceived you.
Real apostolic demonstration does not produce a
platform for a man. It produces a WITNESS for
the kingdom of YAHWEH.
MARK FIVE — The Apostle Separates Substance
From Chaff
This is the winnowing function specifically.
The apostle stands where the breath of YAHWEH blows,
and he calls people into that breath. He tells you the
doctrine you are holding is chaff. He tells you the tradition
you have defended for three generations has no covenant
weight.
If your ministry never offends anyone, you are
not apostolic. You are entertaining.
But hear me — apostolic separation is not bitter. It
is not personal. It is the same separation a
winnowing fork performs — NOT TO DESTROY
THE WHEAT, BUT TO SAVE IT.
MARK SIX — The Apostle Suffers For the Pattern
For I think that YAHWEH hath set forth us the
apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for
we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to
angels, and to men. — 1 Corinthians 4:9
The apostle pays the price for the pattern he carries. He is
the last in line, not the first. He is appointed to death,
not to celebrity.
Paul listed his sufferings in 2 Corinthians 11 not to boast
but to prove the foundation.
If a man claims apostolic authority but suffers
nothing, lays no real foundation, has no covenant
cost on his body or his reputation, you are
looking at a corporate executive with a religious
title.
The genuine article BLEEDS for the pattern.
Apostolic Foundation in This Hour
We are standing on the edge of the Seventh
Millennium. The six thousand years of human
dominion are running out.
The hour we are in is not an hour for personality ministry.
It is an hour for foundation.
When the appointed shaking comes upon this
nation and upon the nations, every empty thing
is going to be carried away. The light things will
not survive the breath.
But what was laid apostolically will remain. The
Remnant will remain. The covenant will
remain. The pattern will remain. The wheat will
remain.
This is why First Harvest Ministries International was
founded as an apostolic work and not as a
denomination. This is why we lay the foundation
according to the pattern from the mount — Torah-
observant, Sacred Name proclaiming, feast keeping, Two-
House restoring, Zadokite calendar following — because
the shaking is near and only what is founded according to
pattern will stand.
If you are sitting under apostolic ministry today
and you are tempted to despise it because it is too
narrow — hear me. What you are despising is the
very foundation that will keep you standing
when the breath of YAHWEH passes through. Do
not despise it. BUILD ON IT.
PART FIVE — THE PASTOR AND THE
ROASTING FIRE
The wind has done its work. Now preservation must
begin.
Separation Is Not Preservation
Just because chaff has been removed does not
mean the kernel is safe.
Beloved, hear that line again. The breath of YAHWEH has
blown. The chaff is gone. The kernel has fallen back to the
floor with substance and weight. The apostolic foundation
has held. And the believer who endured that winnowing is
tempted to think the work is finished.
The work is not finished. The wheat has been
SEPARATED. It has not yet been PRESERVED.
Separation without preservation is how harvests are lost. A
kernel can survive every prophetic hammer, stand through
every apostolic wind, and still rot quietly in the silo six
months later because nobody walked it through the next
stage.
A Stage the Modern Church Completely
Ignores
Between the winnowing and the milling, the wheat had to
pass through fire — but not the final fire of baking. A
preserving fire. A roasting fire.
Even after the wind had carried away the chaff, the kernels
themselves still contained moisture. If you left moist
grain in a storage bin, it would mildew. It would rot from
the inside out while looking perfectly fine on the outside.
The corruption would spread quietly from kernel
to kernel, and an entire harvest could be lost
without anyone seeing the damage until it was
too late.
So the kernels were spread thin over a low fire. The fire
was not hot enough to cook the wheat. It was hot enough
to draw the moisture out. This was called parching, or
in the Hebrew, qali — roasted grain.
Boaz handed Ruth qali in Ruth 2:14. The army of
Israel carried qali in 1 Samuel 17:17. Roasted grain
was the staple of the harvest because ROASTED
GRAIN DOES NOT SPOIL.
This Is What a True Pastor Does
The pastor in the five-fold function is not
primarily a comforter. He is not primarily a
preacher. He is not primarily an administrator.
He is the man YAHWEH has assigned to DRAW
THE HIDDEN MOISTURE out of the lives of the
saints before that moisture turns into
corruption.
And I will give you pastors according to mine
heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and
understanding. — Jeremiah 3:15
Notice the language. Pastors according to mine
heart. Not pastors according to a denominational
manual. Pastors according to YAHWEH's own
heart.
And what is the heart of YAHWEH toward His
people? PRESERVATION through COVENANTAL
CARE.
Hear me on this — when I say the pastor applies heat, I
am not talking about harshness. I am not talking about a
cold, clinical, religious authoritarianism that drives sheep
away with the lash. The heat of a true shepherd is the heat
of covenant love. It is the warmth of presence. It is the
steadiness of accountability that arises out of walking
beside you, not standing over you.
Pastoral heat is covenant care. The temperature
is steady because the relationship is steady.
The pastor applies steady heat — through correction,
through counsel, through accountability, through hospital
visits, through funeral visits, through marriage counseling,
through tears in the night that the congregation will never
know about. The pastor walks with the kernel slowly
enough for the moisture to come up.
You cannot rush this stage. Hidden bitterness
does not lift in a single altar call. Offense that has
been buried for twenty years does not surface in
one Sunday morning.
Why So Many Believers Collapse
This is why so many believers in our generation survive
prophetic correction and then still collapse spiritually
six months later. They reached the threshing floor.
They got winnowed by an apostolic word. They stood up
off the ground brushed clean. And then nobody walked
with them.
The husk was gone. The chaff was gone. But the
moisture was still in the kernel. And six months
down the road, mildew set in, and they rotted in
private.
The pastor stands between separation and
transformation. He is the PRESERVING
FLAME.
This is why I have labored at FHMI to make sure
shepherding is not lost. I am called as an apostle.
I will not pretend otherwise. But I have a pastor's
heart for this flock, because if I do not draw the
moisture, the harvest I am laboring to gather will
spoil before it reaches the mill.
PART SIX — THE RABBI AND THE
MILLSTONE
The moisture is drawn out. Now the kernel must
yield to become one with the others.
Grinding Is Not Cruel — Grinding Is
Required
After the kernel had been gathered, threshed, winnowed,
and roasted, it was finally ready for the mill. And the mill,
beloved, was not gentle.
The millstone was a heavy round stone that turned on top
of another stone. The wheat was poured into the center.
The stone turned. And kernel by kernel, every grain was
crushed into fine flour. Not cracked. Not chopped.
Pulverized.
The structure of the individual kernel had to be
utterly destroyed before it could become flour.
This is the work of the rabbi — the teacher — in the five-
fold function.
And he gave some, apostles; and some,
prophets; and some, evangelists; and some,
pastors and teachers. — Ephesians 4:11
The teacher's work is to grind the wheat. To take the
harvest and turn it kernel by kernel into a substance that
can be united into one loaf.
And teaching, when it is done by YAHWEH's
pattern, is REPETITIVE, PATIENT, AND
THOROUGH.
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon
precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a
little, and there a little. — Isaiah 28:10
Precept upon precept. The same truth, layered and layered
and layered until the kernel finally surrenders. This is why
genuine Hebraic teaching is not entertainment. It does not
move on every week to a new clever subject. It returns. It
revisits. It refines. It grinds.
Why We Resist the Mill
Most believers resist the mill because they still
want to preserve their individuality.
They want revelation without surrender. They want
knowledge without transformation. So they reach a point
in the grinding process where they say enough — that is
too much for me, and they leave the mill before they
have been ground fine enough to make bread.
Flour only exists when the kernel fully yields
itself to the crushing.
What Emerges From the Mill
But beloved, do not misunderstand me here. The work of
the millstone is not destructive. It is transformative.
Out of the mill comes SHARED MIND. SHARED
SPEECH. SHARED LOAF.
Look at what happened immediately after Shavuot:
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles'
doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of
bread, and in prayers... And all that believed
were together, and had all things common. —
Acts 2:42, 44
Shared doctrine. Shared fellowship. Shared
bread. Shared possessions. That is what happens
when kernels finally surrender at the millstone —
they become ONE FLOUR, and one flour binds
into one loaf, and one loaf can feed the nations.
This is what Paul described:
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our
Lord YAHSHUA the Messiah, that ye all speak
the same thing, and that there be no divisions
among you; but that ye be perfectly joined
together in the same mind and in the same
judgment. — 1 Corinthians 1:10
Same speech. Same mind. Same judgment. That
is mill-flour language. That is what emerges
when believers stop protecting their individual
kernel-structure and yield to the teaching of
YAHWEH.
For we being many are one bread, and one
body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
— 1 Corinthians 10:17
One bread. Many kernels. But the kernels had to
surrender their individual structure to become
one substance. Unity is not a slogan. Unity is the
FRUIT OF CRUSHING — and the fruit is one loaf
that feeds a generation.
PART SEVEN — THE FIRE OF
SHAVUOT
The flour is ready. Now the fire must fall.
Now Came the Final Stage
Beloved, finally — after all this preparation — the flour was
ready. But flour by itself is still not bread. Flour by itself
cannot feed anyone. You cannot serve flour at a meal.
FIRE.
This is why Shavuot culminates in flame. The whole
process leads to this. Every other stage existed to get the
wheat ready for the fire.
The evangelist gathered for the fire. The prophet
threshed for the fire. The apostle winnowed for
the fire. The pastor roasted for the fire. The rabbi
ground for the fire.
And then the fire itself came down.
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven
as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the
house where they were sitting. And there
appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of
fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were
all filled with the Holy Ghost. — Acts 2:2–4
Now look at that scene with new eyes.
The wind of Acts 2 was the FINAL WINNOWING —
anything that was not built apostolically in those
one hundred and twenty was going to be carried
away.
The fire of Acts 2 was the FINAL BAKING — the
disciples who had been gathered by John,
threshed by YAHSHUA, winnowed by His
resurrection, roasted by His ascension, and
ground by forty days of teaching after the
resurrection were now passing into the oven of
YAHWEH together.
And what came out of that fire? Bread for the nations.
Three thousand men were fed off that one loaf before the
day was over.
By the end of THIS age, beloved, it will be
feeding the entire planet — because the bread of
Shavuot is the LOAF THAT FILLS THE EARTH.
Fire Does Not Destroy. Fire Transforms.
Fire does not destroy the wheat. Fire FINISHES
the wheat. The same fire that would have
destroyed a husk merely glorifies a kernel.
But who may abide the day of his coming? and
who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like
a refiner's fire... And he shall sit as a refiner and
purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of
Levi, and purge them as gold and silver. —
Malachi 3:2–3
The refiner sits over the fire — personally and patiently.
He watches every kernel. He removes every impurity. And
He does not lift His hand from the work until He can see
His own face reflected in the silver.
That is what Shavuot is. That is what is coming
again before the Seventh Millennium opens.
A people through the fire. A people AS fire. A
people who carry the fire of YAHWEH on their
own heads like the disciples on Shavuot. A loaf
that has been baked through and is ready to feed
nations.
PART EIGHT — THE CORN OF
WHEAT THAT FALLS
Messiah Lived the Whole Process Personally
Beloved, do not miss this.
Everything I have laid out this morning — the gathering,
the threshing, the winnowing, the roasting, the grinding,
the fire — YAHSHUA walked through every single stage
personally before He ever asked one of us to walk through
any of it.
Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and
die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth
much fruit. — John 12:24
He was the corn of wheat that fell into the ground.
He was gathered out of Heaven into the field of the earth.
He was threshed in Gethsemane until His sweat became
blood. He was winnowed in Pilate's hall while the wind of
accusation tried to carry Him away. He was roasted on the
cross under a sun that hid its face. He was ground in the
tomb under the weight of all the sin of the world.
And He came out of the grave as the
FIRSTFRUITS LOAF — the first wave loaf that
YAHWEH ever waved over the earth.
This is what He meant when He said I am the bread of
life. Not the bread of comfort. Not the bread of religion.
The bread of life, baked through every stage of the
harvest, prepared from the foundation of the world.
When the Father gathers you out of your field,
remember — He gathered His Son first.
When the threshing falls on your husk, remember
— the threshing fell on His back first.
When the winnowing breath blows over your
foundation, remember — it blew over His
foundation first.
When the roasting fire draws out your hidden
moisture, remember — the fire passed over His
head first.
When the millstone grinds your independence
into flour, remember — the millstone of Calvary
ground Him into flour for you first.
And when the fire of YAHWEH falls on you and
finishes the work, remember — He passed through
that fire first and walked out of the tomb the
firstfruits of every loaf that would ever come after.
You are not walking alone. You are walking in
the footprints of the Master of the Harvest.
PART NINE — THE FIVE-FOLD
FUNCTION IS NOT TITLES
The Counterfeit That Has Cost the Church
Everything
The church has turned the five-fold function into
TITLES.
Apostle So-and-so. Prophet So-and-so. Men compete over
titles. Men collect titles. Men print titles on business cards.
Men introduce themselves with strings of titles longer than
the names their mothers gave them.
The five-fold function was NEVER about titles.
It was about FUNCTION. It was about the
HARVEST.
YAHWEH did not give the church a flow chart of
dignitaries. He gave the church a PROCESSING
SYSTEM for transforming gathered men into
bread.
When all five functions operate together under
the Headship of YAHSHUA, the fire of
YAHWEH comes down on a prepared people
and the harvest becomes BREAD.
Subtract any one of these functions, and the
harvest is incomplete.
Subtract the evangelist, and no new wheat comes in. The
barn empties.
Subtract the prophet, and the husk stays on. The wheat
goes into the next stage still wearing the world.
Subtract the apostle, and there is no foundation. The wind
blows and the whole structure collapses.
Subtract the pastor, and the moisture stays in the kernel.
The harvest rots in the silo.
Subtract the teacher, and the kernels never become flour.
The grain never binds into bread.
This is why the modern church looks the way it
looks. It has been operating on one or two
functions for decades while ignoring the rest.
YAHWEH is restoring all five functions in this
hour.
He is doing it through the Remnant. He is doing it through
houses like this one. He is doing it through the apostolic
foundation we are laying at First Harvest Ministries
International so that when the final winnowing comes,
there will still be wheat standing on the threshing floor of
YAHWEH.
PART TEN — DO NOT RUN FROM
THE STAGE YOU ARE IN
A Word to the Hurting
Beloved, before I bring this sermon to its closing charge, I
have to pause and speak to somebody in this house.
Somebody listening through HisComingKingdom.com.
Somebody whose face I cannot see but whose heart
YAHWEH is already touching.
Some of you are not being punished. You are
being PROCESSED.
I need you to hear that line again. Let it settle. Let it find
the place in you that has been crying out in confusion for
months — maybe for years.
Some of you are not being punished. You are
being processed.
You have been on the threshing floor and you thought
YAHWEH had forgotten you. He did not forget you. He
was removing your husk.
You have been in the wind and you thought everything you
built was collapsing. It was. But only the chaff. The kernel
is still in His hand.
You have been over the roasting fire and you thought you
were dying. You were not dying. The moisture was leaving.
You have been on the millstone and you thought you were
losing yourself. You were losing the independence that
would have kept you from being bread.
Beloved, do not run from the stage you are in.
Most of the spiritual casualties of this generation are not
people who failed YAHWEH. They are people who ran
from the stage YAHWEH had them in.
They ran from the threshing floor because it was painful,
and they never lost their husk. They ran from the apostolic
wind because it called them too narrow, and they never
developed weight. They ran from the pastor because the
heat was uncomfortable. They ran from the mill because
the grinding broke their pride.
And now they sit in their living rooms wondering
why they feel so far from YAHWEH. Beloved, you
are not far from YAHWEH. You ran out of His
hand.
Come back. Come back to the stage you ran from.
Come back to the prophet who told you the truth.
Come back to the apostolic foundation you
despised. Come back to the shepherd who tried to
draw the moisture out. Come back to the teacher
whose precept upon precept exhausted your
flesh. Come back. Get back on the floor.
YAHWEH has not stopped working on you.
YAHWEH stopped working on you only because
you stepped out of His hand.
To Those Who Cannot See the Point
And to some of you in this house who can see the process
but cannot see the point — let me tell you what you are
missing.
You are not just being made better. You are being
made BREAD.
This is not self-improvement. This is not personal growth.
This is not YAHWEH making you a slightly more refined
version of who you already were.
YAHWEH is taking you apart and reassembling
you as something that can feed the nations.
The pain you are feeling right now is not the pain of
destruction. It is the pain of transformation. It is the
pain a kernel feels when it begins to lose its shape so it can
become part of a loaf bigger than itself.
If you have asked YAHWEH for fifteen years to
use you for the Kingdom — beloved, this is what it
looks like when He says yes.
Yes does not look like a stage. Yes does not look
like a platform. Yes does not look like applause.
Yes looks like a threshing floor and a winnowing
wind and a roasting fire and a millstone and
finally — finally — fire from Heaven on a
prepared kernel.
YAHWEH is answering your prayer. He is
making you bread.
Stay On the Floor
So whatever stage you are in this morning —
STAY ON THE FLOOR.
If you are being gathered — let the evangelist gather you.
If you are being threshed — let the prophet thresh you.
If you are being winnowed — let the apostolic wind blow.
If you are being roasted — let the shepherd apply the heat.
If you are being ground — let the teacher grind you.
And if you are about to enter the fire — beloved,
do not be afraid. The same fire that fell on Sinai.
The same fire that fell in the upper room. The
same fire that prepared a hundred and twenty
disciples to feed the nations is the fire YAHWEH
is preparing for YOU.
Stay on the floor. The Master of the Harvest
knows what stage you are in. He will not
abandon the loaf He is making.
PART ELEVEN — THE CLOSING
CHARGE
Where Are You in the Process?
Beloved, I am going to ask you to do something
honest this morning before I dismiss this
assembly. I want you to ask yourself, where am I
in this process?
Are you still in the field? Have you been gathered yet?
Have you come out of the world? Or are you still hiding in
the field with the tares, looking like wheat from the leaves
but with a black seed forming on your head?
Are you on the threshing floor? Have you submitted to the
hammer of the prophetic word? Or have you run from
every prophetic word that ever came near you because it
was too sharp?
Are you in the wind? Have you let the apostolic foundation
be laid in your life? Or are you still trying to build on the
sand of personality, performance, denominational pride?
Are you in the roasting fire? Are you under faithful
pastoral care that is drawing the hidden moisture out of
your heart? Or are you isolated from covenant?
Are you on the millstone? Are you sitting under teaching
that is grinding you finer and finer? Or have you decided
you already know enough?
And finally — are you ready for the fire?
Because the fire is coming.
The Spirit of YAHWEH is being poured out in this hour
like never before. And only those who have been gathered,
threshed, winnowed, roasted, and ground will pass
through that fire and come out the other side as finished
bread.
A Word to the House
To this house at First Harvest, and to every house
listening through HisComingKingdom.com and
TheTruthTv.tv — hear me.
The appointed shaking is near. The fire is going
to fall. The Seventh Millennium is not far.
The six thousand years of human dominion are nearly run.
And YAHWEH is preparing a wave loaf that He will lift up
before all the nations of the earth.
I do not want one of you to be carried away as
chaff. I do not want one of you to rot in the silo
before you reach the mill. I do not want one of
you to walk away from the millstone half-ground
and unfit for the bread of the kingdom.
So submit to the process. Stay on the threshing floor.
Receive the prophets. Honor the apostolic foundation that
has been laid in this house. Sit under the shepherd
YAHWEH has set over you. Let the teachers grind you. Let
the fire finish you.
And do not run from any stage of the harvest,
because every stage is MERCY.
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I
come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, YAHSHUA.
— Revelation 22:20
The Master of the Harvest is coming. The wave
loaf is being prepared. And we, beloved, WE are
the wheat of YAHWEH.
Let the fire fall.
Let the loaf be lifted.
Let the Kingdom come.
AMEN.
