The People of the Presence part 3 By Pastor Shane Vaughn, First Harvest Ministries Turn to the book of Psalms chapter twenty-four, verse seven. We’ve been talking about the glory of Yahweh (God) we’ve been experiencing tonight in this service. How many of you prefer this type of service, rather than just some dead service? Amen. Where the presence of Yahweh is real, it’s tangible. You can feel it changing your life. You can feel it soaking in, and you know there is a change taking place. But I’ve taught you that it doesn’t come in uninvited. It doesn’t come in uninvited. My grandmother taught me that the Holy Ghost is a gentleman. Amen? He doesn’t make you get the Holy Ghost, He doesn’t make you speak in tongues. He doesn’t make you fall on the floor. He doesn’t possess your body and makes you do anything. No, no, no. He will only do what you ask Him to do, what you give Him permission to do in your life. If you say, “Make me look like a fool,” He’ll do it. HalleluYah! Ha ha. If you say, “Take over me from head to toe,” He’ll do it. Amen. But it is up to you. That is what we read in Psalms twenty-four. There is a good spirit in this church! I’m telling you, there’s a good unity spirit in this church. I feel unity. I feel unity in this church. HalleluYah! I don’t see any sour faces. Amen! It’s beautiful! Psalm 24:7 Lift up your heads, O gates! Lift up, you doors! And the King of glory shall then come in! Didn’t I just tell you He doesn’t come in until you lift up your arms? Then He stands at the door and knocks. He said: If any man will open unto Me, then I will come in and sup with him, and I will be His God. He is waiting on a church that will lift up the gates to the city of Jerusalem! Amen! He is waiting for somebody with palm branches that will cry Hosanna to the King! Amen. He found them in a little shed. He found them in a little town, 1 a seaside village that lifts up the gates for the King of glory to come in. HalleluYah! Keep reading. 8 Who is King of glory? Yahweh strong and mighty! Yahweh mighty in battle! 9 Lift up your heads, O gates! Lift up, you doors! And the King of glory shall then come in! Do you know what your doors are? Look: your teeth. That’s the doors to your house. Open them up! Open Your Door! There’s a praise inside your door. In case you wondered where I got my loudness from, did you hear Mother Ruth when she came on tonight—the loudness? That’s where I got it from. HalleluYah! She raised me and taught me how to work in the Spirit, work in the Glory, and I told her, “Tonight you are going to church with me, and you’re going to sing a little bit.” HalleluYah! 10 Who is the King of glory? Yahweh of hosts! Yahweh strong and mighty, He is the King! Selah. Father, we thank you for Your presence as we stand in this building that used to be empty and now it’s full. When we stand in a place where we see Your provisionary power, we see You doing things that are beyond human comprehension. Father, this little ministry has helped touch the whole world. We thank You for that glory and that favor, and we promise You that there will always be an open door here. There will always be gates wide open. We will open them up for You every Sabbath Day so that You can come in and dwell with us. We ask You to anoint Your Word tonight, and anoint the people to hear what You have to teach us. In the Name of Yahshua I pray. Amen. Our ability to entertain angels brings the Glory. Tonight is part three of The People of the Presence. Our ability to ENTERTAIN ANGELS is what brings the glory of Yahweh (God). You will always find angels associated with the Throne. Always. They surround the throne of Yahweh. That’s why when I 2 used to hear people preaching that we were going to go to heaven and get around the throne and just cry, Holy for fifty-billion years, I’m going to be honest with you if you all can handle it. I was like, “Well, okay, but where am I supposed to go, because there are millions of angels already there?” Amen. I just know that anytime you find the Throne, you’ll find angels. You’ll never find the throne of Yahweh without finding angels. That’s why in the Tabernacle, in the Holy of Holies was the presence of Yahweh on the mercy seat, and what was it that overshadowed the Throne? The seraphim wings. Why? Because the wings transport the presence of Yahweh. Amen. If you don’t become acquainted with angelic ministering, you will never become acquainted with the throne of Yahweh. When I was a little boy, I would say four or five years old, I was living in Gretna, Louisiana and my stepmother—you know the story—was very cruel to me as a little boy, the way she would punish me. I used to hate seeing my dad leave the house because I knew what was next. When he was there, she was an angel, but the moment he left there was a hatred towards me that would come out. The way she would punish me when my dad was out of town working I’ve never heard of it, never seen it, but I lived through it. She would take rice out of a bag and pour the rice in the corner. I would have to take my little clothes off and kneel on that rice. My Lord from heaven, that was some cruel stuff! If you have never felt hard rice on your knees for hours at a time, it’s not good. I had to put my hands in the air. I couldn’t put my hands down. If I didn’t, she would come in and there was this big butcher knife. She wouldn’t hit me with the blade, but she would hold the blade and hit me with the wood part of that knife. I learned to sit up all night. Maybe that is where my staying up all night came from. I’ve had it all my life. I’d stay up all night and had to kneel in that corner until she woke up in the morning. 3 Long story short, one night I was in that corner and I will never forget that it was as if I stepped into a perfume factory that night. There was a fragrance that began to fill the room. I didn’t know what it was, but while I was kneeling there I saw what I didn’t know was an angel of the Lord. There was an angel that came to my side. It was a man about six feet tall. He was trim but he didn’t look angelic except for the fact that he had a horn of oil hanging over his hip. When I was kneeling there, he took me in his arms and he poured the oil over my head. He said, “One day you will understand why you have had to go through what you’ve had to go through,” and he left the room. Right after that I nearly drowned. I was in a swimming pool and my mother was in the apartment. Somehow I snuck down to the swimming pool and fell in. That’s why to this day you can’t get me anywhere near water. I was dying. I was at the bottom of the pool. I couldn’t swim and I couldn’t get up. I remember with all that is within me, when a literal hand came and pulled me to the top of that water and saved my life. I’ve encountered angels many times in my life, and I’m going to tell you tonight, that if you are not looking for the presence of the Lord, you’ll never see angels. The presence of the Lord always gets escorted by angels. Always. You have to find a fine line between looking for them and honoring them, and worshiping them. There is a major difference. Don’t ever be afraid to give honor. We seem to be afraid that honor is worship. As a matter of fact, a lady who just left this church called me and said, “I’m never going to worship you.” I said, “I didn’t say you had to, but you better honor me.” Learn the difference. Honor looks like worship sometimes, and people don’t understand honor. Whenever you honor the pastor, or your husband or your wife, you are not worshiping them. You are honoring what Yahweh is doing in them, and their position, and who they are. So to honor angels is not a sin, but to worship them and depend on them instead of the One Who sent them is a sin. Always keep that balance and you will be okay. The Hebrew word for angel is malak, which means a 4 messenger. They are called several things: sons of God, the heavenly host, holy ones. In the Book of Enoch they are called watchers. The first angel mentioned in the Bible was in the Garden. I want you to know that the angel of the Lord was put in the Garden to protect it because the angels are the servants of Yahweh. Let’s go to the book of Isaiah sixty-three, verse nine. Remember that the angels are always the carriers of the presence of Yahweh. So if you want the presence of Yahweh, you are going to have to get some angels to stop by. That’s all there is to it. I’m trying to teach you in these lessons how to make your life more angelic; how to get the miracles that you need. You can’t do it unless some angels are around. Isaiah 63:9 In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the malak from His presence saved them; I want to stop there. The angel of His what? His Presence. The angel of His presence is an angel that escorts the presence of Yahweh everywhere He goes. It says here that in all their affliction, He was afflicted, and the angel saved them. This is interesting because we sort of depend on Yahweh to save us. It was not Yahweh Who saved them, and yet it was. You’ve got to learn how Yahweh works. I’m getting ready to show you that Yahweh does nothing without His angels. They are His escorts, His guardians. They are the ones who guard the Throne. The angel of His Presence healed the people. So why are you scared of angels? It’s all in your Bible, but if you listen to Christians: You be careful of angels. No! Yahweh never changes. If He healed them with an angel before, He will heal them now. Who do you think troubled the water and everybody got healed? It wasn’t Yahweh. It was the angels, and yet it was Yahweh. When you understand that you need an angel in your life, you’ll start living your life in a way that will attract the angels. You need an angelic life. Read on. in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; 5 Hold on. When you read He redeemed them, you sort of think this is talking about Yahweh. But it was not Yahweh Who redeemed them. It was the angel of His Presence. Read. and He bore them, and carried them all the days of old. Now read verse ten. 10 But they rebelled and vexed; grieved, His Holy Spirit; so He turned Himself against them like an enemy, and He fought against them. Have you ever heard: Grieve not the Holy Spirit? Because it will do what? Take its flight. The angels are the representatives of the Holy Spirit. It’s the same thing. If the Holy Spirit is Yahweh, Yahweh is Holy and Yahweh is Spirit. So whenever you are asking for the Holy Spirit to come, it only comes on the wings of angels. It’s right there. As soon as they rebelled, the angel became their enemy. I’ll tell you one thing, He came to heal them, and when they vexed Him, the Bible said He took His flight and became their enemy. The same angel that Yahweh sends to save you, He will send to destroy you. Don’t dare say you don’t believe me, because you’ll get me mad. Do you know why? Because I can prove it. I’m getting ready to prove it. When these angels turn against you, you become the enemy of Yahweh. The Bible said that these angels will literally go from blessing you to cursing you. It all depends on your reaction to angels in their presence. Hallelujah! When you say, “We want the Holy Spirit to come to our service tonight,” no, you want angels because they bring the Holy Spirit. Brother Vaughn, I don’t believe it. Then read the verse we just read, again. See if it calls this angel. 6 But they rebelled and vexed; grieved, His Holy Spirit; Hold on! Who was there? The angel. That is His Holy Spirit. What did the Bible say that angels are? Ministering spirits. Are they not holy? C’mon children. Follow my teaching because I’m trying to show you that this mystical thing called the Holy Spirit is the Presence of Angels! It’s not a third Person in the Godhead. It is the guardians of the Godhead. It is the ones who carry it wherever it goes. It’s the wheel that He carries in! In the verse right before it, it’s the angel of His Presence. In the next verse He is called the Holy Spirit. HalleluYah! Oh Brother Vaughn, we had a service tonight and we felt the Holy Spirit. Yes, you did. What you had was some guests in the building. You had some fluttering going on. You had an attraction of the Light! You had an attraction of the Divine Glory of Yahweh, which are the angels of Yahweh. Amen! You need to attract the angelic! Let’s go read Exodus thirty-three. It’s going to get so good tonight that you are going to say, “I shouldn’t have questioned it. It’s in the Book.” If it’s in the Book, I’m on the hook! HalleluYah! Let’s go to verse fourteen, and let’s read this. Exodus 33:14 Yahweh replied: My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest. Here Yahweh is saying, “My Presence will go with you.” He is talking to Moses; Mosheh and Israel. We’ve got a real problem here. I am going to show you the problem. My Presence—YAHWEH—is going with you. I’m going to go before you. Except, He never showed up. Glory. GLORY! 15 Then Mosheh said to Him; If Your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. If Your Presence does not go with me, I don’t want to go. That’s the problem with a lot of you. You’re not attracting the Presence. You’re not waiting for the angelic. You’re going on your own. Now let’s go to Exodus 7 23:20 and keep that verse that we just read, in mind. Here’s why. Because Yahweh just promised My Presence is going with you, but the problem is Yahweh never showed up, and He never will because Yahweh is not a man and is not of this earth. Yahweh is not comfortable in this environment. He does not come to this sinful world. Yahweh cannot mix with sin. That is why He is sending Yahshua (Jesus) and the sons of Yahweh to clean this thing up before He comes. I felt the Holy Ghost! During the Millennial Reign He said: I am sending My Son for a thousand years to put all things under His feet, and when death is destroyed then they will give it back to Me and I will be All In All. Yahweh isn’t coming until it gets cleaned up! If He wouldn’t show up in the Tabernacle, if He wouldn’t show up in the Temple unless it was holy, He’s not coming to earth until it gets holy! Somebody said, “God came down tonight.” No He didn’t. His Holy Spirit did, His fluttering angels came, and brought His Presence with them. Amen. So we are going to find this out in verse twenty. Exodus 23:20 Behold I am sending a malak in front of you, Hold on. What do you mean You’re sending an angel before me? You said in the verse we just read, that You were going before me. Didn’t He tell Moses, “I will go with you.”? And yet, He never did. He said, “No. I don’t like it down there. I’m sending My angel, and if My angel goes there, I’m showing up.” If My angels show up, I’ll show up. Why? Because they will create the atmosphere in that area that My Presence can come down in. But before they create the Presence, you create the presence that they can come into. Glory! Here is something I want to show you that is going to shock you. This is interesting. Yahweh said, “I will go with you,” but yet in this verse He said,”I will send My angel to you.” Automatically we think that is talking about a heavenly angel, but I’m getting ready to show you another kind of angel that was going to lead Israel and go before them—go to the head of the Church and lead the Church. 8 I’m getting ready to show you who that angel was. There are two kinds of angels. There are heavenly and earthly angels. You better learn how to recognize them. I’m going to show you how one of these angels that went before Him was Moses himself. Let’s read it. Behold I am sending a malak in front of you, to keep you in the way, What is this angel going to do? Keep you in THE WAY. There is a Narrow Way. I’m going to send an angel that will keep you in that Narrow Way! Brother Vaughn, I’m not convinced yet. Good. You’re getting ready to be. Read. and to bring you into the place where I have prepared. I’m sending an angel to keep you in the Narrow Way so you can come to the place that I have prepared for you—the Throne! I am sending an angel before you to prepare you for that place created for you to rule and reign in. It gets better. 21 Attend to him and obey his voice; Attend to this angel. Obey his voice. Ladies and gentlemen, we have no record of an angel ever speaking to the children of Israel. Moses had a voice! Let’s keep reading what He said. do not rebel against him, Don’t come against that angel. 9 for he will not forgive your transgressions, This angel, the Bible said, whoever’s sins he retains is retained. That is the New Testament that I am quoting. Whoever he forgives is forgiven. for My Name is in him. For My Name is in this angel! Anywhere the Name is, He is! Do you understand that? That’s why when I baptize you in the Name of Yahshua, He’s the One Who baptized you, not me, because where His Name is, is where His Presence is! It’s not about the formula. We are not baptizing you in a formula when we say: I baptize you in the Name of Yahshua. No, no, no. That’s not the power of it. Here is the power of it: I baptize you not as Shane Vaughn. I am of all men, most miserable. In me there is no good thing. You don’t want me baptizing you. But when I step in the water, in the Name of Yahshua, it is Him, Himself Who comes into the water and baptizes you into His Church! Glory! There is no man in this room able to baptize anybody. HalleluYah! We are all wretched men. Wretched man that I am! But when I do it in HIS NAME, in His PLACE, He moves me, and He steps in! My Name is in that man. In all of his imperfections I chose to put My Name in him, that angel. Let’s prove it even further that it’s Moses. 22 But if you will truly obey what he says, Hold on now. If you will truly obey what this angel says. Show me one time in Scripture where an angel taught anything. I lost you so I’ll do it again. 10 If you will obey what he says. We have no biblical record of an angel ever saying anything to the House of Israel. He spoke to Moses, and Moses spoke to the people. Yahweh is telling Israel: If you will hear what he says, it will keep you in the Narrow Way. If you obey what Moses says, it will keep you in the Way. I love what the next line says. It says, “obey his voice,” and listen to what it says. and do all that I speak, then I will be an Enemy to your enemies, and an Adversary to your adversaries. DO ALL THAT I SPEAK! You all didn’t get it so I’ll try again. Listen to what Moses says, because that is not his voice. That is Me speaking. My Name is in him! If they make you Messianics so scared to follow a man, then you’re not an Israelite. Israel ALWAYS followed a man. If it wasn’t Moses it was Joshua. If it wasn’t Joshua, it was David. If it wasn’t David, it was Elijah, Jeremiah, Isaiah! Yahweh has never changed! I’m not going to follow no man. Paul said, “Follow me, as I follow Christ.” You better learn something. You better learn to hear the voice of Yahweh (God) in the words of a man, in the words of an angel, because it will keep you in the Way!! That’s why some of you, your lives keep going in circles. Your lives keep going in circles because you won’t submit to a man. I can live my own life. 11 And five years from now it will still be as messed up as it is right now: Nobody watching out for you, nobody keeping you in the Way, nobody watching to make sure you’re in the Way! HalleluYah! He said: Listen to his voice, what he teaches you, and listen to what I speak—his voice. His Voice! It is his Voice that I am speaking. It is not My voice. Obey that Voice! That is why the Bible said in the last days, when the Voice of Elijah begins to go forth, it is something in the Voice. When you hear truth and you know it even when you can’t quite understand it, quite figure it all out, but you heard a voice of authority—you heard a voice of clarity, you heard a voice that puts you in the Way! The Bible calls it an angel! HalleluYah! Some of you all are so busy listening for Yahweh while ignoring your pastor. Nobody is going to tell me who I can date, or who I can’t date. Listen to me, darling. I’ve been where you are. I’ve been down that road of Nobody is going to tell me! I’ve been on that road. I’ve seen the heartache that is coming your way. You need to stop and hear the Voice! Here’s the problem when you say, “That doesn’t bear witness with my spirit.” The problem is your spirit. I was praying and the Lord told me. That’s the problem. Everybody, the Lord has told them something different. Everybody has heard something different. The Lord told me this. Well, He told me this. The Lord is not that schizophrenic. Here is the problem. I’m going to filter everything He says, not through your feelings, but through His Book. I don’t care what He told you. If it doesn’t line up with His Book, you’re a liar! The Bible said that every man be a liar, and the Word of Yahweh be truth! I live in that Book 24/7. That is my final authority. 12 The Bible said: Listen to his voice while I speak to you. Why do you think we are able to bring clarity to so many subjects that you never understood? Do you think it is because of this little rotten dude you’re looking at? No. I’m nothing! I’m the worst of anything in this room! It’s called GRACE. HalleluYah! Yahweh (God) can give you a grace where He can take your worn out voice and turn it into His. Yahweh can use anybody if they will just bring it through the Book. We are living in a generation where everybody’s got a personal relationship with Yahweh. Let me explain something to you. Yahweh never, ever—I’m going to make you all mad, especially you Christians—He never had a personal relationship with any Israelite. It was with the WHOLE HOUSE of Israel! When you get outside of the protection of the Word of Yahweh you’ll hear Yahweh say all kinds of stuff. You’ll swear you saw God in the moon! Listen, you need a scepter that will say to you, “Sister, you’re out of the Book, you’re out of it! You’re going down a bad road! Stop, STOP while you can!” He said: Listen to his voice while I speak to you! I hear dreams people have. I hear visions they have, and while they are telling me, I’m thinking, “I wish you would hush so I could straighten you out.” I saw this and I saw that. Let me tell you something. Just because you saw it doesn’t mean Yahweh sent it. You need a pastor who will balance out your dreams and visions, who will take your little high-fi spiritual-minded self and bring you back into the Church where you can do something for Yahweh; where you can put your hand to the plough of something that will work. Rebellion is in the hearts of this generation. HalleluYah. Yahweh only had personal relationships with His leaders of Israel. 13 Pastor, God told me! Listen to me. Just because you heard something doesn’t mean Yahweh told you anything. I had somebody tell me not long ago when I told them what to do, to go to that sister and make this right—that woman rebelled against my authority and said to me, “I’m not eating crow anymore. I’m not eating crow.” I said, “If you don’t eat crows, crows will eat you.” She told me that she’d already prayed about it. She had prayed about it and she wasn’t going to eat crow anymore. Anybody in this room, let me tell you something. If you think the Holy Ghost will ever tell you not to eat crow, it’s the wrong kind of Holy Ghost, because the God of the Bible said to submit yourself, humble yourself. EAT CROW! She wouldn’t listen to the Voice while He spoke to her. It would have saved some trouble for people. I’ll never forget, and oh, what I would give for that old lady called my grandmother to look at me cross-eyed one more time. She looked at me cross-eyed because she had a weak eye. She would take that little finger and put it in my face and say, “If you don’t listen to what I’m telling you son!” I didn’t want to hear it. I’ll never forget one time I had gotten through preaching at her church. They always had about five-hundred members at that big, huge church and I was a young preacher of about eighteen years old. I’ll never forget. I got done preaching and according to the response of the church, I had hit it out of the ball park. Nana came to me and said, “Don’t you ever talk to my people like that again.” I’d been too cruel to them. She said, “That’s the sheep God gave to me. You don’t have the authority to talk to them like that.” 14 I thought I’d preached real good. But when you are under the shepherd, they’re not looking for your good. Your good is alright. They are not trying to find your good. Brother Vaughn is always trying to find my weak spots. That’s my job. The good is alright. We leave that alone. But we’ve got to get what’s not good out. Amen? We’ve got to get what is not good out. The shepherd is not worried about what you’re doing right. He’s worried about when you run off from the fold. I resented her voice many times. I did. I resented her voice because I was a talented young preacher and I’d been anointed since I was just this high. The most dangerous people in the world are anointed people who don’t have a covering, who don’t have someone who is not scared of their anointing and will tell them, “You better straighten up now.” Yahweh said, “Hear his voice while I speak to you.” Fall in love with the Voice. Fall in love with the Voice that loves you enough not to be proud of what you did good, but to take out what is still bad! HalleluYah! You need an angel in your life! YOU NEED AN ANGEL IN YOUR LIFE! Read verse twenty-two. 22 But if you will truly obey what he says, and do all that I speak, then I will be an Enemy to your enemies, and an Adversary to your adversaries. 23 For My malak will go ahead of you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Yebusites; and I will cut them off. Wait a minute. He isn’t going to cut them off. No, no, no. 15 Moses is going to lead you. Moses is going to be the one that I use to bring you through these places. He’s going to raise up an army, and that army is going to fight. 24 You shall not bow down to their gods (elohim), nor serve them, nor do after their works; but you shall utterly overthrow them, and completely break down their sacred pillars. If they’ve got Christmas trees, you don’t get one! Don’t do what they do! You’re different! 25 And you shall serve Yahweh your Father, and He will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from the midst of you. He will do this if what? If you will obey his voice while I SPEAK. 26 Nothing shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; the number of your lifespan, I will fulfill. 27 I will send My fear ahead of you, and throw into confusion every nation your encounter, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run. Hold on. I’m sending My fear before you. The Voice. The Voice goes before you to make the crooked places straight and the high places low. 28 And I will send hornets in front of you, which shall drive the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite from before you. Listen to what He said. Verse twenty-nine is powerful. 29 But I will not drive them from before you in a single year, because the land would become desolate, and the wild animals too numerous for you. 16 Listen. All those addictions, all those temptations, all those devils in your life are not leaving in one year. It’s going to take a while under the word of the angel. Why didn’t Yahweh just wipe them all out? He said, “No, no, no. When you get saved, I’m not wiping out your gossiping tongue. I’m not wiping out those things all at once. No, no, no. Because as I take them out little by little, you are going to grow.” HalleluYah! Little by little. Brother Vaughn, I got saved and I’ve still got problems. LITTLE BY LITTLE. 30 Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased, and you inherit the land. Little by little I’m going to get rid of your bad spirits. Little by little under the Voice of the angel. He will go before you and if you follow him, I will get rid of what is wrong with you little by little. He said, “If you’ll hear his voice, I’ll do it little by little.” You’ll come to church and you’ll be so happy, you’ll be dancing, thinking you’re doing it so good, but then He messes your whole night up. You thought you couldn’t stop praising His Name. Then here comes the Voice to keep you in the Way. He said, “If you’ll follow the Voice while I speak, his voice while I SPEAK, I’ll drive out your demons little by little. I won’t do it in one year. I won’t do it in a tent revival. I won’t do it in a deliverance service. But if you follow the Voice, I’ll do it little by little.” Little by little, your rotten attitude will get better and better. You will start gossiping less and less. Oh yes. You’ll stop sending a text less and less. You’ll stop getting involved less and less. Why? Because you made up your mind to follow that Voice when it speaks. It may sound like the voice of fear, but I’ll send my fear before you. If you’ve got a preacher you like, you’ve probably got the wrong preacher. I’m serious. 17 I’LL SEND MY FEAR IN FRONT OF YOU! I know you like your pastor. When I’m done preaching, everybody is happy. But while I am preaching, if you like me while I’m preaching, I’m not preaching. That’s a fact. If I’m not getting it out little by little, then I’m not that Voice. HalleluYah. Right when you thought you were doing better! Turn to your neighbor and say,, “Little by little; a little bit more.” Preach to me preacher, a little bit more! I want to make it to Canaan land. Yahweh is not going to wipe out your temptations all at once. Oh no. It’s a journey. Brother Vaughn, I’ve still got a little rebellion left in me. Come to church next week and we’ll get that out a little more. I still like to pout a little bit. Then come next week. We’ll get it out a little bit more. Why? We’re trying to get you to the Promised Land little by little. What keeps coming back to me is: LISTEN TO HIS VOICE WHILE I SPEAK TO YOU. That’s powerful! People say, “I don’t need a teacher. The Holy Ghost is my teacher.” First of all, I am so sorry you’ve been that deceived. God can speak to me like He can speak to you. 18 The problem is that you don’t know His Word, and when you do, you twist it all up. That’s right. You don’t even know what happens to the dead. So if Yahweh speaks to you, you don’t even know your Bible. Therefore you’ll hear something and you’ll be in left field somewhere. Nobody will see you again. That’s why you better be careful with all these essential oils and all of these little things that you are not familiar with. You better be careful about some of this stuff. Why? You need a pastor! We had a Jezebel in this church and when we were praying for somebody, she would say, “I’ve got something that will heal that.” I do too. It’s called the Name of Yahshua! It heals every disease! It sets the captive free! It isn’t about the oil! It’s about the Name! HalleluYah. Glory to God! If you haven’t got any oils, pray for him anyway. Amen! The Name is powerful. It will work. Learn to work the Name. I didn’t say you couldn’t have oils, but I said to be careful. There are spirits behind a lot of this stuff. You’ve even got to be careful with some of these flags. You’ve got to be careful. There are spirits behind stuff. There are messages behind stuff. If you don’t have a shepherd, you are doing it on your own. Brother Vaughn, the Bible says you have no need for a man to teach you. Yes, I know. The problem is you don’t know how to read it. It has nothing to do with a man teaching you. It has something to do with certain men teaching you. I did a one hour teaching on that verse. If Yahweh doesn’t want you to have a teacher, then we need to know why when Yahshua (Jesus) was going to heaven He turned around and said, “Wait, before I leave I need to give you five gifts.” One of them is a teacher—Somebody who knows how to layer the Word on top of the Word. Somebody who knows how to keep you in the Way, the Narrow Way, or you’ll be believing all kinds of stuff. You’ll be believing that 19 JFK Jr. is going to be the Vice-president. Amen. You don’t know the emails I get on a daily basis. Let’s go to the book of Luke, chapter one. Luke 1:19 But the malak, answering, said to him; I am Gabriyl, who stands in the presence of Yahweh, and have been sent to speak to you, to show you these glad tidings. Why didn’t Yahweh just speak to the person? No, no, no. A lot of times who you think is Yahweh speaking to you is angels whispering to you. Good angels or bad ones. Do you not know that in the Millennial Reign, you will be a teacher and you will speak and they’ll turn and you won’t even be there anymore? Same thing. That’s why you’ve got to judge what you’ve heard by the Word. What did this angel just say? I have been sent. Why didn’t Yahweh just speak to me, Himself? I’m trying to get you to think. THINK! The angel said, “I’m from the presence of Yahweh and I’ve been given a message to come and speak to you.” Then tell God to speak to me. I don’t need an angel. I have a personal relationship with Him. Tell Him to speak to me and you go back to where you came from! No! He saw that if he was honoring the angel, he was honoring Yahweh Who sent the angel. He said, “I’ve been sent from the Presence.” I want you to listen to me. You all have angels around you. Why do you think they are there? To bring to you what Yahweh said to you! It is not Yahweh Himself speaking to billions of people. Do you hear me? I’m about to prove it to you. That’s why the Bible said if an angel comes from heaven and preaches to you any other gospel, let them be accursed. Why? Because they are the ones doing the talking. God spoke to me! 20 No, an angel spoke to you! You have to determine if it was a fallen angel or a holy angel. The way you do it is you bring it to the Book and then bring it to three or four elders, and then bring it to five more, and say: I want to know that what I heard lines up with the Book. You need to do this because you’ve got one lady with pink hair that said there’s a Christmas town in heaven. Oh, yes; she had a vision of it. She said they were riding on unicorns in heaven, and she’s got a following thirty times larger than I do. Now the sad part is that she believes it. She saw something. She’s sincere. Sincerely wrong, but sincere. Do you know why? She doesn’t have a pastor. She doesn’t have somebody who will say, “Sister, the Word says...” We all, me included, need to submit to the Word of Yahweh. Now let’s find out if we do. What is step one? I’m going to find out if you’re submitted to the Word. Step one is if somebody comes to you and says they heard something about somebody, and you say to them: Have you talked to that brother or that sister? Well no. Then you and I can’t continue this conversation. Let’s see how submitted to the Word you say you are. If you don’t practice step one, you are not submitted to the Word. Somebody told me that... Your response should be: Have you been to that somebody? If not, I’m not able, according to the Word, to talk to you about it. If they say they have talked to that somebody, then you say: Great. Have you called on the elders of the church to judge between you two? Then I can’t. I just proved to you that half of you are not following the Word. Following the Word makes us strong. It makes the church stronger. Anything that 21 strengthens the church, strengthens the presence of angels. I don’t want to keep this church holy just because I want it holy. I want angels to come here! I want there to be a welcoming presence for them with no gossip, no back-biting. They don’t like all that stuff. I’m going to show you how to stop it. If somebody says something about your pastor, you say: Have you called him? Have you talked to him? If not, you are in rebellion to the policy of this church. I can’t speak to you about that. If you respond that way, watch how quickly it goes away. They will hide like cowards. They never call me. Ever. If you can’t call someone that you’re offended at, here’s why—the issue is not the issue. It’s a whole different issue. You created this issue to hide that issue, and you know you’re going to get found out so you keep it in an inbox or a text. Listen to me. First Harvest Church until the day I die, whether it’s tomorrow or thirty years from tonight, we will run a CLEAN church! We will have a HOLY Church. Amen! We will walk in UNITY or we will not walk at all! AMEN! Satan loves disunity, but angels don’t come to that. HalleluYah! People ask me why I don’t take a salary from the church. I don’t believe any preacher should ever be on a salary. Anytime you put the people in control of the preacher, you just created a nightmare. He’ll be scared to preach. You want to come out of Babylon, yet you want to pay him like an employee out of Babylon. This preacher doesn’t get paid. I get the tithe. I don’t get paid. Do you understand? You don’t pay me anything. Yahweh pays me His tithe. Nobody pays me. Nobody has any control at all because if you walk out with your tithe, two more will walk in with theirs. It doesn’t matter to me, I promise you. I’m going to preach truth no matter what. 22 I’ll never be controlled by anybody in this church; ever. I have a pastor and it isn’t you. Why? You can’t pastor a church like that. A board is Babylon. It’s Babylon. We don’t run churches like businesses. That’s Babylon. We run it according to what the Scripture said: there is an angel over the church and there are elders under that angel, and they govern the church. That’s the way it works. That’s the only Bible way. Amen. If Satan can get in any of you, he will. I have found out that when a church loves one another, and when they know one another, as the Bible said, the enemy cannot get into a threefold cord. It’s not easily broken. HalleluYah! Glory to God! We were talking about angels before we started talking about devils. Now I want to show you all something. I just taught you a lesson in submission. How are you responding to what I just said? Check yourself. Here’s why. The enemy is looking for a lodging place in your mind. You have to keep him out by communicating with one another. You’ve got to communicate. You’ve got to communicate! HalleluYah. Satan hates communication. He hates it because it solves a lot of problems. Don’t let the enemy pull you in a room to where you can’t talk to anybody. If you feel like somebody has hurt you, go talk to them. I promise you that one of you is wrong, and I know it’s not you. I get that. The Bible says every man is right in his own eyes. But when it’s over, one of you is wrong. Communication will find that out. If you have a wife like mine, she apologizes even if she wasn’t wrong. She’ll come in the room crying, saying, “Honey, I’m sorry,” and I’ll feel this high because I know I started it. I know the stress of the church was on me and I took it out on her, many times. I had to repent to her a few mornings ago because I allowed this church to get under my skin—people talking and running us down, trying to destroy the work. Everyday I wake up trying to protect this work, and my wife is the only one I have to talk to. I have to be pastor to everybody else, so she gets the side of me that I’m sometimes ashamed of. It’s not bad, but it’s bad. But do you know how many times she will walk in my room and I know it is my 23 fault? Some of you men get cranky and you play your narcissistic games with them, and make them feel like they did something wrong. Men, you’ve got to love your wives like Christ loves the Church. He gave His life for the Church. When all of you are gone and have left me, there is one woman who will still be helping me with this church. Only one. Amen. I’m going to tell you something else, men. I don’t know why the Lord has got me doing this now; it has nothing to do with angels. The husband is an angel to his wife, and his wife is an angel to him. Mama and Daddy, I want to teach you something. Your kids are going to leave home, and you are going to be left there with a husband or a wife. The kids never come before your spouse. Ever. Why? Satan will use your kids to destroy your marriage. Do you hear me? They will play games with him and you, and before you know it, you and he can’t even talk. They’re leaving you at eighteen years old. Love one another. Don’t ever stop communicating with your spouse. Don’t go to bed holding out. Don’t go to bed without communicating. Get it right. Here’s why. Listen to me. Satan wants in your marriages. He wants in your families. The way he gets in is when you think your husband has done you wrong. You have to ask yourself a question: Does that man love me? If he does, he can’t hurt you. He could never do anything wilfully to hurt you, and you have to know that. If you know he loves you, then you have to say, “Something is wrong on my part. We’ve got to work it out.” As your pastor, there is not one of you in this room that I don’t love; that I wouldn’t give my life for. If you know that I love you enough to teach you the truth, then you have to love me enough to give me the benefit of the doubt. Amen. You have to do it. If somebody told me my wife had done something, nobody knows her better than me. Nobody. I know everything about her. If you come to me and tell me that you heard she was flirting, you could show me pictures, you could show me a video, and I’d say, “Where did you create that?” Why? I know her. I know she loves me. Nothing else matters. Nothing else matters if you 24 know that you love one another. You can get through anything. We love one another here at church. We can get through anything. We just have to communicate. Amen. HalleluYah! You can stand now. We’re done. There is so much more I wanted to get to, but I know when I’ve done my job. Love covers a multitude of sins. When we love one another, we will make it. If this church is built on love, we will make it. Look at this beautiful congregation of Sabbath keepers. Thank you, Yahweh—Sabbath keepers! So why was I talking about husbands and wives tonight? Because you need angels around your house. The Bible said, “Don’t grieve those angels.” Don’t grieve them! Love one another! Father, let Your Presence—Your angels—fill our lives. I want the angels to be in every home in this congregation. I want the angels to walk with us. Father, let our lives be conducive to angels. Let us love You so much that the angels love to hang around us. May they be welcome here. Your Presence is welcome here. YOUR PRESENCE IS WELCOME HERE, FATHER! Father, if there is anything in this church that doesn’t please You or Your angels, we ask You to forgive us. We repent. We want this to be a place where angels dwell. Your Presence is welcome. Your Holy Spirit is welcome. Father, grow us up little by little. Little by little, transform us into Your perfect image. Transform us into Your image and don’t leave us the way you found us, we pray. 25 26
