here and give us a morning man y'all give her a big hand clap of Praise [Applause] amen thank you con amen shabbat shalom everybody shabat Shalom good huj good to be here I'm gonna start out with a show of hands okay we're going to be talking about uh Moses's 40 days and 40 nights so I'd like a show of hands who think or believe that uh Moses uh fasted 40 days and 40 nights one time any takers one time did okay well then okay a show of hands who believe that he fasted 40 days and 40 nights two times oh no I thought everybody raised her (02:16) hand on that onece well we're gonna find out he did well what about three times anybody believe that he fasted three times 40 days and 40 nights okay okay well we're going to find out okay and I'll be using my uh King James version and I have a couple other books that I'll use and I only use those books for clarification okay so um we're going to start out in Exodus 19 verse one one I think we'll do verse one 2 and three it says um in the third month when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of (03:10) Egypt the King James says the same day came they Into the Wilderness of siai um a lot of people believe this was the 15th day of the third month I disagree with that and I think I can show that for they departed from refidim and came to the desert of SI and had pitched in the wilderness and there Israel um camped before the mount okay um the reason a lot of people believe that this was the 15th day of the third month is because it says that in verse one in the third month when the children of Israel gone forth out of the land of (03:55) Egypt the same day they came into the Wilderness of Si well we know they left Egypt on the 15th day of the third month that's right but in in uh 19 uh chapter 19 here in Exodus it says for they departed from refidim and they came to the desert of siani so twice here up in verse one it says they came into the Wilderness of Si siani and then in verse two it says for they departed from ref adeem and were come into the desert of Si so when it says the same day up here in verse one that can also say this day so we ask the question what is this day (04:46) am so um and I'm saying it's not the 15th and we'll look into that in a minute here so um in in verse three it says and Moses went up into oh went up onto Elohim and Yahweh called unto him out of the mountain saying Thou shalt say to the house of Jacob and tell the children of Israel and so now I'm going to drop down to uh verse 20 and Yahweh came down upon Mount Si on the top of the mount and Yahweh Called Moses up to the top of the mount and Moses went up okay so I'm saying here okay I'll just go a little bit further here um and Yahweh (05:49) said unto Moses go down charge the people lest they Bak breakthrough unto Yahweh to gaze and many of them perish and uh verse 25 so Moses went down unto the people and he spoke to them and what he spoke was what yah told him to say so um the the same day they left refidim they C came to Mount Si so that's what that verse is talking about that it wasn't the 15th it was the same day they left refidim that they came into the mount siai and I'm saying that was the 13th day of the third month um and they were told to sanctify themselves against (06:40) the uh sanctify themselves wash their clothes and be ready onto the third day so uh let's go to now Exodus 24 1 okay and he said unto Moses come up and Yahweh thou and Aaron naab and Abu and 70 of the Elders of Israel and worship you a far off and Moses alone shall come near Yahweh but they shall not come nigh neither shall the people uh go up with him and Moses came and told the people all the words of Yahweh and all the judgments and all the people answered with one voice and said all the words which Yahweh has said we will (07:40) do okay so let me see if this is in where I want it okay so in verse 249 it says then Moses went up Aaron naab AB and 70 of the Elders of Israel and they saw the Elohim of Israel and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone and as it were the body of Heaven in its clearness and upon the Nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand and they saw Elohim and did eat and drink so when he went up with uh naab and Abu and the 70 elders they did eat and drink so there was no fast started there (08:35) yet and so um and this okay and this does not say what day this was um it just says that they went up so that's where I look to the book of jubilees and jubilees chapter 1 verse one says and it happened in the first year of the Exodus of the children of Israel out of Egypt in the third month on the 16th day of the month and Yahweh spoke unto Moses saying Ascend to me here on the mountain and I will give you three give thee two tablets of of of the law and the Commandments as I have written them Thou shalt make them know known and (09:30) Moses ascended the mountain of Yahweh and the glory of Yahweh dwelt on the mountain of Si and a cloud overshadowed it for six days and Yahweh called to Moses on the seventh day and these are important because I want to show something a little later Hallelujah and so um and of course the mountain was flame of fire and it says and mooses Moses was there on the Mountain 40 days and 40 nights and Yahweh instructed in regard to what was pass and what would be okay so we know that uh Moses Aaron naab and Abu went up (10:16) on the 16th day of the 3 month okay so now I want to go to sorry I want to go to Exodus okay and and also you know that the 15th day of the third month was Shavuot or Pentecost and so it was after that on the 16th that they went up so let's go to the golden cap event Exodus 321 let's see okay well let me read 8 uh 31 8 what did I say here 321 well I want to read 3118 first and he gave unto Moses and when he had made an end of communion with him upon the mount two tables of testimony tablets of stone written with (11:16) the finger of Elohim now this is the first 4040 so now we know we come into the um golden calf event and I want to go over to 325 and it says and when Aaron saw it he built an Al altar before it and Aaron made a proclamation and said tomorrow is a feast to Yahweh and they rose up early on the tomorrow and offered burnt offerings and brought peace offerings and the people sat down to eat and drink and Rose up to play I Believe believe this was a feast of Yahweh it wasn't a one of the uh pilgrimage feasts where they go to (12:11) Jerusalem but in the Zite calendar we know that after the first Pentecost 50 days later there is the Festival of wine and then 50 days after that there's the Festival of oil okay so so when Aaron said it a a feast of Yahweh I believe that it was the Festival of wine and then but what what happened was that made it a sin was mixing the the day that day and profaned it with the golden calf event their drunkenness and all that went along with it that profane that day but I believe that it was the Festival of wine and we'll see if we can prove that (13:02) with scripture here and so now we'll go to 32 7 and 8 and it says and Yahweh said unto Moses go get thee down for thy people which you brought out of the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves they have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them and they made them a golden a molten calf and they worshiped it and Sanctified there unto it and said these be thy Mighty ones oh Israel which have brought you up out of the land of Egypt so that's when then Moses went down of course we know he he broke the (13:52) tablets and so oh I'm going to show you why I believe this was the Festival of wine and I'm going to go into uh the Septuagint because it gives a better uh understanding I I have two different septu here this is the apostolic Bible polyglot and it is The Exodus 3218 and it says it's hard to read because it has the Greek there and he said it is not a sound originating from strength now this is what U Joshua was saying to Moses so it wasn't a sound that they heard from the camp originating um from strength nor a sound (14:51) originating by a routing of the enemy but a sound originating from wine and so then I keep digging a little bit further and in this septent by Brenton it says and Moses says it is not the voice of them that begin the battle nor nor the voice of them that begin the Cry of defeat but the voice of that of them that begin the banquet of wine do I hear so and I do have to say here that banquet in this um septu inin um italics and so it's been added but it's been added for clarification so I do believe that they understood that (15:46) it was the banquet of wine which is the um third day of the fifth month so I have this calendar here and I'm only using it here to uh count the days sorry about that okay so here we are you probably can't see it very well but this is um right here is the um 15th day of the third month which is Pentecost and Moses was told to come up on the 16th which is here and then it says that the cloud covered them for 6 days and then on the seventh day Moses was to go up to yah alone and so then from here I start counting the 40 days (16:45) and 40 nights of the his fasting and he was it was 40 days and 40 nights so over here on the Sabbath is the 40th Day and Night night and that he would have went down here and broke the tablets on the Festival of wine so it just okay okay so now we're going to go to the second 4040 and that's in Exodus 3230 what's that what's the next verse uh Exodus 32:30 you're getting ready to go to another Feast aren't [Music] you okay uh 32:30 it says and it came to pass on the tomorrow that Moses said unto the people you have sinned a great (17:51) sin and now I will go up unto Yahweh pre-venture I shall make an atonement for your sin now and then it the next verse just said and Moses returned unto Yahweh and said oh this people have sinned a great sin have made them Mighty ones of gold yet now if you will forgive their sin and if not blot me out I pray you out of the book which you Hast written now it doesn't say here how long he made atonement for the people sin it doesn't say it here so we have to go to another account we have to go to um Deuteronomy 917 (18:54) okay thank you uh Deuteronomy 9 91 17 and this is um let me see here oh actually Deuteronomy yeah 9:17 um is 17 is talking about the first 4040 and I took the two tablet tablets cast them out of my two hands and broke them before your eyes then it says in 18 and I fell down before yah as at the first 40 days and 40 nights I did neither eat bread nor drink water because of all of your sins which you have sinned in doing wickedly in the sight of yah to revoke him to anger for I was afraid of the anger and the hot (19:49) displeasure wherewith Yahweh was wroth against you to destroy you but Yahweh hearkened unto me at that time also so this seems to indicate that he did a second 4040 here and what I want to do now is go to jasher the book of jasher uh chapter 82 and it makes it very clear here let me see uh jasher 82 and I'll start in 21 and it says and on the tomorrow Moses said to the people I will go up to the Lord pre Adventure I may make atonement for your sins which you have sinned unto Yahweh and Moses again went up to Yahweh (20:40) and he remained with Yahweh 40 days and 40 nights and during the 40 days did Moses entreat Yahweh in behalf of the children of Israel and Yahweh hearkened to the prayer of Moses and Yahweh was intreated of him in behalf of of Israel and so it tells you here in the book of jasher that he was for the second time he was up there for 40 days and 40 nights for a second 40 day and 40 night fast and um so Deuteronomy 9:18 to2 and jasher 82 gives you the two um 40 days and 40 nights now so that the the second one was to (21:38) um fast 40 days and 40 nights so yah would not destroy the people for their sin made people responsible for yes yes yes yes and that's when they they U uh melted the golden calf and they had to drink it okay so now let's go to Deuteronomy 101 now uh Deuteronomy 101 starts out with at this time so I'm asking you what what time is this and I'm saying it was at the end of his second 4040 um after the atonement for the sin so at that time Yahweh said unto me heue thee two tables of stone like unto the (22:44) first and come up unto me in the mount and make thee an ark of wood and I will write on the tablets The Words which were in the first tablets which you broke and you shall um put them in the ark and so um let's see here oh then I need to go back to um jasher 28 or I mean jasher 82 verse 26 and 28 I don't think I read those um 2 six okay and it says and Moses remained yet maybe I should go up a little bit further okay I'll start in 25 now Moses did so and he came down and he hewed the two tablets and went up to SI to Yahweh (23:49) and Yahweh wrote the Ten Commandments on the tablets and Moses remained yet there with Yahweh 40 days and 40 nights and Yahweh instructed him in the statutes and judgments to impart to Israel and then it says um and Yahweh showed him the likenesses of the sanctuary and the likenesses of all the vessels and at the end of the 40 days Moses came down from the mount and the two tablets were in his hand so I believe that there was three 40 days and 40 nights of fasting that Moses did um the first time was uh when he (24:39) went up the first time and then the gold he came down he broke the uh tablets and then he went back up he fasted for another 40 days and 40 nights um for the people's sins and then he went up the third time and he was given the second set of tablets and since I've got more time here let me see time it is I got a little bit of more time I wanted to show you that oh and also that the next 4040 probably would have been the Festival of oil when he came down I haven't done that count yet but uh any anyway let's go to uh numbers 18 (25:39) 11-2 numbers 18 11 to2 and um I believe that the Festival of of wine and the Festival of oil are very important and they in in scripture um there's many many places in scripture where it talks about the wheat wine in the oil the wheat wine in the oil the wheat wine in the oil and in numbers 18 verse 11 it says and this is thine the heave offering of their gift and all the wave offerings so there's more than one uh wave offering um like the wave offering for the wheat of the children of Israel I have given them unto you and to thy sons and to thy (26:30) daughters with thee by a statute forever everyone that is clean in the house shall eat it all the best of the oil all the best of the wine and all of the wheat the first fruits of them which they shall offer unto yah them have I given you so again I believe that these uh the first Pentecost the second 50 days the Festival of oil and the third 50 days the Festival of oil was important to yah and not that they were festivals that they had to go up to Jerusalem um so now I want to go to judges 2119 and this is a story (27:29) um this is a story where um the children of Israel and U The Tribe of Benjamin were at War and almost all of Benjamin except 600 were killed and uh Israel had made a a vow that no daughter of theirs could marry well they couldn't they could Benjamin could not take a wife of the other tribes these they made made that vow and so the story is and in 2019 uh 2119 again it says here it says and they said behold there is a feast of Yahweh in Shiloh and that word Feast there is um Hebrews 228 82 and it's a hog or a festival and that's what the other (28:32) feasts are called they're called hogs and so and the uh going back to 2119 and they said behold there is a feast of Yahweh and Shiloh yearly in a place which is on the north side of bethl and the east side of the highway that goes up from bethl to sheam and on the south of lebana therefore they commanded the children of Benjamin insane this is how they they got around uh not giving uh their daughters to Benjamin otherwise Benjamin would have been wiped out as a tribe so it says go in wait in The Vineyards okay so there's a clue um (29:17) probably at the time of the grape Harvest which would have been the time of the Festival of wine uh go and wait in The Vineyards and see and behold if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in dances then Come Ye out of The Vineyards and catch you every man his wife of the daughters of Shiloh and go into the land of Benjamin and um one of the uh going back to the word for feast which is hog it's a solemn Feast a sacrifice and it comes from uh the number 2287 which means to move in a circle and dance and so this was a some kind of (30:02) a special occasion that was going on where they were in The Vineyards and they were dancing and when they came out um Benjamin got a wife and they weren't wiped out a yearly in Shiloh a yearly in Shiloh and uh also there's um I won't turn to them but there's many scriptures that talk about the wheat wine and the oil and in Deuteronomy uh chapter 1423 Deuteronomy 184 2 Chronicles 2:15 2 Chronicles 315 2 Chronicles 32:28 Jeremiah 31:12 hegi 111 but it's always it's the wheat wine and oil are always together that hag hagy one (30:52) at1 hagy 111 so that concludes the thank you thank you hallelujah hallelujah thank you Minister that was awesome wow never looked at it that way now it gives us something to look at something to study study to show thyself approved wonderful job thank you minister

Summary

FHM Morning Manna — January 25, 2025 presents Sister Sarah's study of Moses' experiences on Mount Sinai, focusing on whether he underwent one, two, or three separate forty-day periods of fasting. Beginning with Exodus 19 and Exodus 24, she reconstructs Israel's arrival at Sinai and the sequence of Moses' ascents. She then examines Exodus 31–32 and Deuteronomy 9, distinguishing Moses' receipt of the original tablets from his subsequent intercession following the golden-calf incident. Using the Book of Jasher and the Book of Jubilees as additional sources, she argues that Moses completed three separate forty-day periods. The second major theme concerns biblical festival chronology. She proposes that the golden-calf incident occurred during a Festival of Wine and connects this interpretation to the Zadokite calendar. The final portion examines Numbers 18, Judges 21, and several passages concerning wheat, wine, and oil. She interprets these recurring agricultural elements as possible evidence of additional sacred festivals. The message concludes by encouraging further scriptural study of these chronological and festival relationships.

Core doctrine

Deuteronomy 9:17–19 — The speaker teaches that Moses' forty-day intercession following Israel's golden-calf rebellion was a distinct period from his original ascent to receive the commandments. By combining Exodus, Deuteronomy, Jubilees, and the Book of Jasher, she develops the interpretation that Moses underwent three separate forty-day periods: first to receive the original tablets, second to intercede for Israel's sin, and third to receive the replacement tablets. She further connects these events with a reconstructed sacred calendar, arguing that the golden-calf incident coincided with the Festival of Wine and that the recurring biblical references to wheat, wine, and oil reflect important appointed celebrations. The three-period chronology, the proposed festival dates, and the identification of the golden-calf celebration with the Festival of Wine are the speaker's interpretations and are not explicitly established by Deuteronomy 9:17–19 alone.
