They Died in Another: The Birth of Substitutionary Priesthood (Eden to Abraham) Pastor John Shane Vaughn — First Harvest Ministries International — Evening Service ________________ 1 Let's go to 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verse 29; now tonight we're going to start a series; I don't know how long it's going to go but I've got a feeling it's going to be one of those that goes a long way; and I wrote a brand new book this week; it's on Amazon; I think by tomorrow you should be able to get it; and it's entitled They Died in Another: Restoring the Lost Doctrine of Substitutionary Priesthood. 2 So that book should be available even after hearing me teach it; you need to get the book; I think it's 200 pages and I wrote it all in one day which would have been day before yesterday because the Lord so threw this in my spirit; and so tonight we're going to start off where I started this journey. 3 1 Corinthians 15:29: else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead? If the dead rise not at all, why are they then baptized for the dead? Anybody ever read that scripture before? Nobody; Elder Connley, you've never read it? No sir; you never seen that scripture before? I've seen it but I just; you didn't read it? No sir; you just looked at it; yes sir. 4 I've read it a million times and just go, hmm, what do I do with this? What do you mean baptized for the dead? That's the scripture that started the journey to what I believe is going to be the greatest revelation of the end time; I know I said that last week about that one, but the greatest revelation of the end time that I think I've ever gotten from the Lord; I got it tonight; for tonight. 5 So we're going to deal with that question of being baptized for the dead; you may be seated tonight; now in tonight's lesson we will restore; the ministry of Elijah is to what? Rebuild the old waste places; yes sir; amen; I'm going to need a few of y'all to wake up; I know you're tired. 6 The ministry of Elijah is to rebuild; yes sir; you can only rebuild what was; yes sir; amen; the ministry of Elijah brings nothing new; that's right; you know how after you hear me teach you're like wow, that was new; no it's not; it wasn't; amen Pastor; amen; take it back; it's a destroyed truth that's always been there; there is nothing new under the sun; nothing; the word of Yahweh has been the same forever. 7 Okay; now Region 4, y'all a little bit quieter than I'm used to; so listen; come on, Pastor; the voice of Elijah is coming to restore all things; and tonight we're going to restore tonight; that's right; tonight is a night where you're going to watch your pastor take an old brick; oh hallelujah; that fell out of the wall; and this ministry is going to put that brick back in the wall; amen; amen; amen; amen; hallelujah; we're going to plug up a hole; amen; because that's what this has been; you didn't know it was a hole but you're going to know it tonight. 8 Hallelujah; oh glory; there is a breach in the wall of understanding that leaves holes in the gospel; this is important for you to understand; if there is a hole, Sister Barfield, in your understanding of the gospel, guess what a hole does? Destroys it; it allows a question to enter your mind; your mind doubt; amen. 9 And then you go to a preacher and say, hey this verse here doesn't make sense; right? And the preacher says, well we just going to give it to the Lord; right? And then you go home unable to give it to the Lord; because your brain keeps going; and these holes in the Bible if somebody doesn't fill them, Satan will; amen. 10 All right; you can have; if you have one unanswered question about the Bible you will fall away if you're not careful; because one question leads to another; another question; and then those questions lead to doubt; and then suddenly your faith is no longer in the infallible word of Yahweh; you'll believe what people teach you; that the word of God is compromised. 11 Listen to me and listen well: from Genesis 1 to Revelation 21, there is no error in the word of Yahweh; amen; none at all; hallelujah; amen; and if you don't settle that in your mind you'll get to a scripture like we just read where Paul seems to be endorsing a Mormon doctrine; they're the only Christians in the world that believe in baptizing for the dead; they baptize people to save those that are dead in the grave. 12 Yep; and here Paul seems to be endorsing that; I mean you can't not read what he said, right? You can't just rip it out of the Bible, right? It's there; okay; it's very much there; and that question, because I could not get an answer to it from nobody, Yahweh used that question to bring me to this teaching that I'm going to start that's going to change your entire way of thinking; it's going to fill up every hole in the gospel. 13 Oh hallelujah; and there is a hole in the gospel; amen; you don't realize it's there because you've ignored the hole; that's right; you didn't know there was a hole; so therefore it's not there; right; the name of the hole that's in the wall of the gospel that I want you to remember is substitutionary priesthood. 14 If you don't know what substitutionary priesthood is you cannot understand the gospel; hallelujah; so I think I'll go around the room and see who's got this all figured out; let's see who knows; is it the same as the penal substitutionary atonement? The Catholic version? No; okay; because there's a Catholic version of that which is purgatory pretty much; so it's probably close but it's not quite the same. 15 Anybody else know what substitutionary priesthood means? It's important that we do because without this understanding, saints, you're missing the gospel, the whole gospel; so tonight you're going to learn; and maybe for the next few weeks I don't know, about substitutionary priesthood; because here's the problem: every one of you in this room including myself, we've all said that we are priests unto God. 16 Amen; and I'm going to prove to you tonight we don't even know what the priesthood is; wow; wow; amen; but we're priests unto God; we're priests unto Yahweh; and before this revelation you can't even understand what the priesthood is; that's right; unless you understand substitutionary priesthood. 17 So how many of you in this room are priests unto Yahweh? The Bible says you are; yeah; all right; what does it mean? I'm an accountant but I don't know how to account; anybody with me? Yes; I'm not an accountant; I'm making a point; you can call yourself I'm an engineer; I can't even fix a; but I'm an engineer; I can call myself an engineer but if I don't know how to engineer; amen; amen. 18 Thank you; I'm trying to drive a point home tonight; you have been called a priest unto Yahweh; and until you grasp what that truly means, which you cannot, it's impossible to grasp without this doctrine; it's impossible for me; I thought I knew what the priesthood was until I found out two days ago; I had no idea what the priesthood was. 19 And why did I? I wasn't trying to study on the priesthood; I was trying to study on baptism for the dead; amen; amen; amen; but Yahweh loves our questions because it gives him the opportunity to answer them; amen; amen; hallelujah; he loves our questions; hallelujah. 20 So tonight let's begin this journey into the substitutionary priesthood; for nearly 6,000 years there has been a question in my mind; Paul's writing was question number one; but now I want to talk about question number two; that was another hmm scripture; one you just sort of read and go okay and keep reading; for 6,000 years we've all had this hmm scripture. 21 We've all had a question that's so fundamental, so foundational, and so critical to understand that if you don't understand this question you cannot understand the scriptures; it is when I tell you it's the foundation of everything; what you're going to learn tonight is the foundation of everything; amen; amen; it's the foundation of everything; that's right; and that foundation is found no less than in the foundational book of the Bible. 22 Yes; which is the seedbed of the Bible, which is Genesis; you know that book that nobody reads; and that book is the answer that unlocks the entire gospel; and yet to this day it has remained unanswered; I'd like to show you that question if I may; we find it in the book of Genesis chapter 2 verse 17. 23 Genesis 2 and 17; Elder Connley; Genesis chapter 2 verse 17: but the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in that day, in the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die; not might die; yeah; not could die, not will eventually die, but in that day, in that moment that you eat the tree, you taste the forbidden fruit, which was not a real fruit by the way; one day I'll teach on that; in the day that you eat, you partake of this pleasure, you will surely die. 24 This was not a threat; even though it looks like a threat; this was not a warning; this was not a negotiation; this was a divine law; it was absolute, Elder Radkkey; it was unchangeable and it was final; and it said in the day you shall surely die; yes; surely you shall die; there is no way around it; there is no other alternative. 25 Now the Hebrew makes it much stronger than that; the Hebrew says mo tamoot; M-O-T-A-M-U-T; in the Hebrew that's called an infinitive absolute; it's a grammatical construction that emphasizes absolute certainty; here's how it should have been interpreted: dying you shall die; death you shall surely have death; it was a double promise from Yahweh that the day you eat that day you will die. 26 Now we know he wasn't speaking metaphorically of a hundred years or however many years; and here's the reason we know it; dying you shall die; well if I could have your attention please; they ate; amen; and then; they died; they did not die; what? This is so important tonight that you hear every word I'm going to teach you because it's going to take me a minute to build this tonight. 27 Somebody say they ate; they ate; they ate; but they didn't die; but they didn't die; you realize we're facing a problem here; amen; you realize the very character of Yahweh is on the line; he made a promise that he did not keep; amen; he made a promise that he did not keep; and how many knows that's impossible? So they ate and they did not die; Adam lived 930 years; Eve bore many children; they walked; they had a relationship; they had a happy married life, beautiful family; they breathed; they had a beautiful life together. 28 And yet God said in the day you eat you shall surely die; now that question has haunted theologians for centuries; why did they not die? Well when you ask your pastor why they didn't die here's what he'll tell you: they died spiritually; yes sir; yep; yeah; well that's why you need to listen to my teaching about the immortal soul; amen; because that's what the Christian church believes, that you have a soul and your spirit, it's all convoluted; so they believe they died spiritually. 29 But here's the problem with that: that's not what the word said; the day that you eat, that day you're going to die; some pastors said well it's because they became mortal on that day; no, they were created mortal; they were not super creatures; they were created mortal with the opportunity to obtain eternal life; amen; some preachers said well they died in God's eyes; but yet they continued to communicate with God; they continued to live and talk to God. 30 Some preachers say well that's when death entered the world; but that's not what the scripture said; the scripture says that day you will die; now the problem is Satan has convinced the world that death doesn't mean death; he's convinced the world at a Christian funeral that when you die you're not really dead, right? That you're still existing somewhere; hallelujah; that's why you can't understand the word without a systematic understanding of what happens to the dead. 31 This is a prime example, children; amen; Apostle; anybody out there, if you don't know what happens to the dead you believe the lie of the serpent; that well when God said they died he didn't mean like graveyard dead because even we don't die; you see what I'm saying? Yes sir; even we live on somewhere; yes sir; so God doesn't really mean death; and that's why you have to know what happens to the dead. 32 Amen; because without that understanding then you read that scripture and you be like well he's talking about not real death; because the truth is no Christian believes in real death; all Christians believe when you close your eyes in death you're not really dead, you're with Christ; it all goes back to the lie of the serpent that says you shall not surely die; do you hear me? Yes sir. 33 Because Yahweh said you will surely die; the snake said you will not surely die; you will die but not surely; like the Hebrew concept of a double death that will not happen; excuse after excuse has been given; explanation after explanation; theological gymnastics after theological gymnastics; but none of them answer the question: why did they not die? The answer's been in your Bible the whole time; amen; goodness. 34 Go with me to the book of Genesis chapter 3 verse 21; after the sin and after the judgment and after the curse you're going to find out that Adam and Eve did physically die; they died that day; Genesis 3:21: unto Adam also and to his wife did Yahweh make coats of skins and clothe them. 35 Skins; where do skins come from? Dead animals; dead animals; you don't get skin without death; yep; something died the day Adam and Eve died; now many of you want to say a lamb died; no, Adam and Eve died; the Bible said after they sin death came immediately; yes sir; immediately Yahweh comes in the garden; where are you? Amen; and immediately Adam and Eve die. 36 How do you know that, pastor? Because while Adam and Eve were condemned under the sentence of death and while they should have breathed their last breath, justice said execution; an innocent creature died; Adam and Eve, they died in another; amen; amen; that's right; my God; amen; you got it; oh got it; you got it. 37 Oh got it; they died; in another; in another; that answer changes everything; and that answer will open up the whole gospel for you; this is why they physically did not die; not because Yahweh changed his mind; not because the law was just symbolic; but if you'll look at this picture you'll see they died when it died. 38 Anybody seeing me? Yes sir; what do you see right there? A lamb; the skin of that lamb covered them with life; yes sir; while it suffered death; hallelujah; hallelujah; hallelujah; the skin is what resurrected off of the death; so while this took their death it gave them its resurrection life to cover them; amen; amen; and that's why they did not die because they died in another; another died in their place; amen; amen; Apostle; a shadow of things to come; come on now; amen. 39 The death sentence was not cancelled; and that's what you need to understand; God didn't just say oops like we do our children when we tell them we're going to spank them and then we just; no; Yahweh's a legalistic God; he goes by his law; if he says you're going to die you're going to die; amen; amen; the death sentence was not cancelled; the death sentence was carried out that day. 40 Hallelujah; the law was not broken; it was satisfied; justice was not ignored; it was fulfilled; hallelujah; someone died that day; something died that very day; and what died? We quickly want to say the lamb died; no; no; Adam and Eve died in the lamb; that's right; amen; amen; there was death; there was death. 41 This beloved is the birth of substitutionary priesthood; this is the beginning of the most important doctrine in all of the Bible; they did not die because another died; they died in another; now that we've established that Adam and Eve lived because another died we must confront the most revolutionary aspect of this doctrine. 42 What I'm about to teach you will challenge everything you've been taught about sacrifice; I'm fixing to blow your minds; every one of you; cuz it blew mine; and my mind's hard to blow; when the Father dropped this in my spirit mind I almost wanted to rebuke the Lord himself; that's how radical it was to my way of thinking; I'm not talking about what I just told you; talking about what I'm fixing to tell you. 43 Amen; right? This is what has destroyed Christianity; they've always believed what I believed; and this changed my whole way of thinking; what I'm fixing to spill out of these lips; how many's ever heard it said that the lamb all through the Old Testament was pointing to Christ? Yep; yes sir; yes sir. 44 The Father spoke to me and said the lamb never represented Christ; it represented the sinner; wow; wow; watch this; this lamb's not a representation of Christ; no; it's a representation of what it represents: the sinner; yes sir; covering the; you better stay with me tonight; yes sir; I'm warning you; where I'm going is deep. 45 The Father spoke to me and said because you think this is Christ you can't accept that this is them; that's right; that's true; every time you saw a sacrifice in the Old Testament of the lamb, immediately you thought that represented Christ; every altar you've ever read about, every blood offering represents Christ; no, it doesn't; every lamb that was slain was pointing to Christ; no it wasn't. 46 No, that lamb was not a shadow of what was coming; it was a present reality of what was; yes sir; not the Messiah; amen; the sinner; amen; hallelujah; hallelujah; I'm fixing to drop some stuff on you tonight that'll change the entire way you see the Bible; amen; wow; because brothers and sisters I'm restoring tonight an ancient understanding; that's right; of who the lamb was; and who it was not. 47 Now stay with me; the guilty party; this lamb right here; I want you to quit looking at that lamb and seeing Yeshua; I want you to see Rick Connelly; amen; when you look at that lamb it did not die on behalf of Messiah; it died as a representation of the one that it was dying for; amen; amen; hallelujah. 48 This is not just a theology adjustment in your thinking we're going to make tonight; this is not a minor correction of your understanding; this is a complete theological earthquake that I'm teaching you tonight; because for centuries we've taught the lamb pointed to Christ; the sacrifice prefigured the Messiah; the altar was a shadow of Calvary; the blood was a shadow of Jesus's blood; and all of that is backwards. 49 The lamb did not represent the holy one that was coming; it represented the guilty one that already was; hallelujah; hallelujah; hallelujah; the lamb was me before I was redeemed; the lamb was every sinner standing under the sentence of death; the lamb did not represent the sinless one; it represented the sinful one; hallelujah; hallelujah. 50 Get this in your mind: they died in another; amen; amen; wow; they died because the lamb died; that's right; amen; I'm going to explain it a lot further for you tonight. 51 Let's go back to that moment to the Garden of Eden when Yahweh made a coat of skins for Adam and Eve; whose nature; watch this carefully; I'll show you why it works for God; there's a nature in the lamb; that's called a willing nature; the lamb is willing; and in order for their guilt to pass it could not pass to a resistant animal; that would be murder; wake up. 52 Hallelujah; amen; it had to pass to an animal that stood before the sheerers and spoke not a word; amen; hallelujah; it had to be a willing; because Yahweh does not allow for murder; that would be murder; but he allowed for a willing substitutionary priesthood that was willing to lay down their lives; hallelujah. 53 Thank you Father; hallelujah; hallelujah; did the lamb represent the Messiah? No; the animal didn't die because of Messiah; amen; the animal died because of a sinner; hallelujah; the animal bore the penalty that Adam deserved; it stood in Adam's place under judgment; the animal did not represent the second Adam; it represents the first Adam; amen. 54 That innocent creature bore the nature of the condemned; it was silent before its death; you go get a goat and try to lead it to the slaughter; confirmation; this man was just telling John and I about the land; and he was telling us how the sheep fall over and do anything; but those goats are nuts; and won't do anything and do so rebellious; that's exactly right; to kill the goat would be murder; amen; yes sir; amen; but to kill the lamb would be sacrifice; amen; hallelujah. 55 The lamb will give no argument; when you bring the lamb to the altar it won't pull back; a dog will; a goat will; everything else will pull back; but when you bring a lamb to the altar it lays down its life; why? Because it represents the one that it represents; not Yeshua; it represents you; hallelujah; hallelujah. 56 It offers no resistance to judgment; none; none; tell it you're guilty; you're going to die; that's it; they won't fight back or nothing; there's no horns; no; why? Oh it submitted to death; it died the death that Adam should have died; it was the willing submission; the characteristic of the substitute had to be willing; that's right; hallelujah. 57 And perhaps now you might comprehend: not my will but thy will; will but thy will be done; hallelujah; hallelujah; Yeshua was not a human sacrifice; he was a willing sacrifice; the only thing that Yahweh will ever accept as a substitution is a willing substitute; and that's why for 30 years he had to be broken to become willing; amen; hallelujah. 58 The animal itself, the lamb; now please don't get confused; yes, one day in the future Yeshua would come and fulfill the role of the lamb for us; for us; yes; amen; why? Because the more I begin to teach this the more you're going to start grabbing the spirit behind what I'm saying; things are going to begin to open up in your mind; and you're going to begin to see that this lamb was not killed just to represent Christ; it was killed to represent you. 59 You sir; hallelujah; let's talk about the principle of it; the substitute bears the legal identity of the guilty; in the Garden of Eden Adam was guilty; that lamb was not guilty; amen; the lamb had done nothing; he was innocent; yes; the lamb was not under a death decree; the only way that Yahweh will accept a substitute for you is they themselves cannot be under a death decree; they must be without sin, without a death decree. 60 Hallelujah; amen; amen; Adam was under a death decree; the lamb was not; and therefore he would be qualified to take the place of the man that has a death decree; that's why when people say Yeshua nailed the law to the cross; no, my poor pitiful friend, he took the death decree that was over you and nailed that to the cross. 61 Hallelujah; hallelujah; the substitute takes on the nature; listen to that; this is so beautiful to me; the substitute takes on the nature, if you will, the very nature of the one it represents; this doesn't have to take on the nature of Christ; it already has it; amen; amen; it has to take on the nature of you; yes; amen; and suddenly become something that it was not; wow; sinful; wow; hallelujah; wow; hallelujah; he became sin; the lamb was innocent but it became guilty by legal substitution; it died as the condemned party yet maintained the characteristic of willing submission. 62 This is called the dual nature: innocent by essence, yet guilty legally; put that in your head; innocent by essence; oh; guilty by law; amen; amen; amen; oh hallelujah; the substitute had to be, number one, qualified, innocent; but number two it had to be willing; number three it had to be identified as guilty; and then number four it would have to be executed. 63 Let me tell it to you like this: when someone donates a kidney to you, number one they must be qualified; yeah; that's right; amen; then they must give their consent; consent; come on now; hallelujah; got to be willing; if it's not a willing consenter then you're destroying another person; that's right; you're robbing from; when they go and lay down their life on a table and become willing, now they become one with you; amen; amen. 64 And then there has to be legal paperwork that says that kidney is no longer yours even though it is; amen; but now legally it's recognized by law that that's my kidney now even though it's still yours; amen; is anybody with me? Hallelujah; done deal; hallelujah; a done deal; and then it has to be executed; what is that? The surgery; yep; yep; has to be performed. 65 Say it with me: qualified; qualified; consent; consent; legal; legal; executed; executed; those four things have to be in place for a guilty man to no longer be guilty; wow; the donor bears the pain so the recipient can bear the life; right; now if this seems strange to you, I don't blame you because in modern law we don't do it this way. 66 But I'd like to take you back to the oldest law that ever existed even before Torah; it was called the law of; nobody read my book on divorce and remarriage; Hammurabi; good sir; Hammurabi; Hammurabi is the oldest law in the world; I'd like to read to you law 230 from the law of Hammurabi; and I'm going to show you that in those days what I'm teaching was the law of the land. 67 What am I teaching? Substitution; amen; I'll read law 230: if a builder builds a house and the house collapses and kills the son of the owner, the builder's son will be put to death; why not the builder? The builder is the one that's guilty; substitution; a son; first son; the son was not guilty, right? This was the law of the ancient world; substitution; and we read our Bibles with no comprehension of that. 68 Wow; wow; and therefore we hear substitution and that sounds so unfair; that was the law; that was the law of the whole world; it was called substitutionary justice; it's just like in the days of old, they would have weddings without the person being there; for example maybe you're off at war but we need you to be married so your child is legitimate; they would send someone to substitute you to stand in your place at the wedding; all the kings did it; it was called substitutionary law. 69 Wow; the legal identity of the household was transferable among the members of the house; amen; legal substitution was allowed by law in Roman times; let's go to the Roman law: a sponsor could offer themselves to be personally liable for another; what do you think you do when you're co-signing for someone on a loan, right? You're taking on their identity; amen; whatever they do affects you; we still have substitutionary law; amen. 70 There's a story that I think they ought to make a movie out of; very few people know this story from 1941; it's the story of Maximilian Kolbe; anybody ever heard this story about the Nazis? Let me tell you the story and then you go look it up later; he was a Catholic priest by the name of Maximilian; he was Polish and he had devoted his life to missionary work. 71 And then in July of 1941, a prisoner escaped from Auschwitz, the concentration camp; and as punishment they rounded up 10 men; anytime one man would escape they would kill 10 to keep people from escaping; and one of the chosen men, his name was Francis Gashamawick, and he cried out when they arrested him, when they was putting him in the room, he said: my wife, my children, I'll never see them again. 72 And in that moment Father Kolbe stepped forward; he said I'm a Catholic priest and I'd like to take his place; the commander said sure; swapped them out; and then they tell the story how that priest went in that prison cell and they began to sing songs and hymns and prayers in the darkness and he led them all in worship as they all died around him; after two weeks they went in; he was still alive and so they killed him to hurry up his death; that was a substitutionary death; even though it was Francis that died it was the priest that died; amen; through another; amen. 73 Now according to the word of Yahweh, Leviticus 1 and 4: and he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him; what will be accepted? This animal will be accepted what? For atonement; for him; for him; instead of him; amen; it will be accepted for him. 74 Thank you so much; the laying; watch this carefully; the laying on of hands was a legal transfer of identity; that's why when I ordain an elder I have literally placed myself in another; amen; amen; by the legal transfer that Yahweh recognizes by the laying on of hands; amen; and that's why ordination is so very important by the laying on of hands; it's legal in the eyes of Yahweh; it's legal; yes; you are no longer yourself; you have become the one that ordained you; oh hallelujah. 75 In the days of old they would have a trial by combat and someone would choose a champion to fight on their behalf and they would die for them; amen; amen; this has been the law of the world; not today; so our minds don't comprehend why Yahweh would allow such an injustice; brothers and sisters these were legal forms of proxy representation or substitutionary identity. 76 The pattern started in the Garden of Eden and it echoes through every scripture in the Bible; we've missed that echo because we thought that lamb was pointing to Christ rather than us; amen; amen; it's a total changing of the Bible; you're right, Apostle; amen; it's a total transformation of what we've always understood tonight; amen. 77 Every lamb slain represented the sinner who should have died; right? Every sacrifice in the Old Testament was not Jesus; it was not even talking about a coming Jesus; no; right; it was literally nothing to do with Jesus; substitution for the sin; it was a substitute; yes sir; for the sinner; amen; Apostle; amen. 78 The animal died so you could walk free; yep; now since we understand the; I call that the hidden law of mercy; let's explore the legal framework; how is this legal in the justice of Yahweh to operate on this principle that most of us have never heard of? There is a hidden law of mercy woven into the very fabric of divine justice from the beginning of time. 79 This is not; I need you to understand tonight this is not about Yahweh being nice; Yahweh is a legalist; amen; amen; Yahweh everything about Yahweh is law and order; yes sir; yes sir; amen; everything; that's right; amen; everything; so this is not about mercy over; listen, this what you see in this picture is not mercy overriding justice or law; nope; it was law; we've always thought that's what that was; oh that's God's mercy; no, that was God's system. 80 That's right; that was his all; amen; wow; I'm getting better now; it was the justice system he created; amen; amen; it's not about Yahweh changing his mind or bending the rules; this is about a legal system of law that Yahweh established where justice can be satisfied through substitution; listen my friends, this is what Yahweh; he set it up this way; amen; amen. 81 This is the law of the land; that's the way he did it; we don't comprehend it because we're in another day; but in the eyes of Yahweh this is how it was set up; amen; rebuilt; Elder, this was not him saying oh yes you will die but I'm going to bend my rules; no; God doesn't bend his rules; it was always that way; amen; Yahweh don't bend his rules, sir. 82 Yahweh created a legal system that said; I'll give it to you this way: when you get arrested, Brother Will, if you ever have been, if you can pay bond, that's not you getting around justice; no, that's the system; amen; that's right; we created a law that said okay we're not going to do substitution; but yet if you think about it, children; unfortunately I know about this subject; your bondsman is taking on your crime; that's right; that's exactly right; wow. 83 Oh he is; right; he's responsible; because if you go missing; yep; if you go missing they're going after him; that's right; that's exactly right; Hebrew; hallelujah; that's exactly right; but the bondsman must be qualified; yep; how? He's got to have this; that's right; and then he must be willing; that's right; he's got to go down and say you know what I'm taking Rick Connelly's place, I'm qualified to do it; yep; amen. 84 He goes free; I'm on the hook; that's right; he leaves he pays nothing; I pay everything; that's the truth; exactly how it works; that's how bond works; thank you Sister Pat; now does it seem unfair? It's the system; it's the law; law of the land; amen; amen; amen; it's the law of the land; the bondsman takes your place; amen; why? He can pay the price. 85 That's right; wow; he's willing; he's willing; and then not only can he be willing he's got to execute it by doing what? Signing the bond; amen; amen; you see, it's all right there; amen; I'm so glad the Lord just revealed that to my mind; hallelujah; that's another; same thing; never changes; ever change. 86 And watch this: let me ask you the question; if I get out of jail through a bondsman have we somehow subverted justice? No; that's the system; have we somehow gotten out of our crime? No; no; but as long as we're under bond we are not on the line at all; right; someone else has stepped forward; right; and executed the bond and said yes you're guilty but you can go free; they bonded, contracted for you; amen; amen. 87 I think I'll say it again: yes you're guilty; have a good day; yep; hallelujah; that's right; that's right; have a good day; so you're out somewhere walking dirty; I mean walking free; probably dirty too; walking free; you didn't get by with anything; wow; that's the system; it's the system; Yahweh created a bond system for every criminal sinner on planet earth; and in the Bible it was a lamb's blood; yep; wow; so good. 88 Here's the four pillars of the substitutionary law; are you ready? This is the four pillars that make this law what it is; number one: one may die in the place of another; number two: the penalty is transferred; the guilt is not erased, the penalty is transferred; number three: justice can be satisfied through a bondsman substitution; number four: the guilty can walk free through a bondsman; the Bible calls him a kinsman redeemer. 89 Yes sir; amen; wow; wow; hallelujah; wow; none of this, Elder Faulner, is New Testament stuff; this is all Torah; yes sir; oh yes; there's nothing new in the New Testament at all; these are principles that governed Eden; when you get it in your mind you'll understand what this is. 90 But there's another part that I want to talk about tonight; the part that many of us have missed in the Garden of Eden; Yahweh was the first priest on planet earth; he selected a qualified substitute; Yahweh went and found this little innocent lamb; the lamb; the penalty of Adam was transferred to the lamb and the animal died for Adam's sin; justice was executed; the death sentence was carried out. 91 Yes sir; but here's what most people have missed; because so far it sounds good, Pastor; I had even gotten to the good part; here's what most people have missed: someone; oh help me Holy Ghost; come on; in the Garden of Eden, watch this: you have the guilty, you have the innocent; and there can be a removal of sin to the innocent; but there is something missing in this story; I see two parts; mhm; but what's missing in that picture is someone had to perform the transfer down on the hands; yeah; the priest; yes; his name was Yahweh. 92 Amen; amen; hallelujah; the penalty does not automatically jump from the guilty to the substitute without a priest; amen; Yahweh's angel Michael had to lay hands on that lamb and rip the skin off to transfer the guilt; it wasn't because he prayed it on the lamb; he placed it on the lamb; amen; amen; amen. 93 Hallelujah; brothers and sisters, what I'm showing you today is the picture of the birthing of the priesthood that you know nothing about; we're priests unto Yahweh; you better follow me carefully; I'm going to teach this ministry what priesthood is; and it started right here: an innocent lamb that could do nothing for a guilty sinner without a priesthood to make it come together; amen; amen. 94 Yahweh was the priest; yep; his angel, his proxy Michael came down and he performed the work of the first high priest on planet earth; and that's where Yahweh established the priesthood; listen to me carefully: when you get to the book of Revelation I'm going to show you this exact picture; amen; amen; hallelujah; without; I'm going to say it loud and clear: without the priesthood, that's right, the work of Christ is dead. 95 True, Pastor; can you prove that? You know I can; we know you can; because I'm going to show you something Paul said that's going to blow your little mind tonight; I may not get to it tonight, maybe next week; but when I get to that scripture, what Paul said, the gospel was never ever able to work without a priesthood; do you think all this talk about a Melchizedek priesthood is just talk? 96 Amen; I wish the Lord would help me tonight; Yahweh established the priesthood in Eden because substitution requires mediation; that's right; that's right; you've got to have somebody in the middle; what does a priest do? A priest puts one hand in heaven and one hand; that's a mediator; right; hallelujah. 97 What happened in Eden becomes the pattern or the template for every sacrifice throughout the whole Bible that would ever follow; the priesthood, listen carefully, the priesthood had to examine the substitute; and then the priest, it was the priest that transferred the guilt; that's right; not the lamb; that's right; amen; amen; amen; Apostle; amen; amen. 98 Hallelujah; wow; amen; hallelujah; wow; from the Garden of Eden to Mount Calvary the pattern never changes; the players change; you heard the old saying don't hate the player, hate the game; the players change but the game doesn't change; no ma'am; the species might change, the scales may change, but the principle remains constant: one dies so that others may live; amen. 99 The innocent bears the penalty of the guilty; justice is satisfied through substitution; the condemned walk free through priestly intercession; amen; amen; hallelujah; amen; what I'm teaching you tonight is the hidden law of mercy; it's called substitutionary priesthood; it's the foundation of every covenant, every sacrifice, and ultimately the gospel itself. 100 Do you remember when I started tonight and I said there's holes in the gospel? What I meant by that: there is a missing part of the gospel called the priesthood that no one's ever taught anyone about; and that's why there seems to be no efficacy in the gospel; amen; amen; hallelujah. 101 As we turn to the Garden of Eden: Adam and Eve lived because another died; the lamb represented the sinner not the savior; now the lamb was the savior but the lamb doesn't represent the savior; the lamb represents the sinner; and now Genesis chapter 3 verse 6; let's follow the sequence of events one more time so that it's firmly in your mind. 102 Genesis 3:6: and when the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was pleasant to the eyes and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof and did eat; that was the sin; okay; what was the consequence of that sin? Read verse 7 and verse 8: and gave also unto her husband with her and he did eat; verse 7: and the eyes of them both were opened and they knew that they were naked; that's called shame; go ahead. 103 And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons; and they heard the voice of Yahweh walking in the garden in the cool of the day; and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Yahweh; now I want you to listen; most of Christianity, here's what we focus on: the sin and the consequences of that sin; and we preach it; oh we preach it; but I want to show you something today; I want to show you what we don't preach; verse 21. 104 21; Apostle; Genesis 3 verse 21: unto Adam also and to his wife did Yahweh make coats of skins and clothe them; if you want to know the heart of your Father; so they wasn't the sin; oh he covered their shame; he covered their shame; amen; hallelujah; it was the hidden law of mercy; hallelujah; people think grace is in the New Testament; it's right there; that's grace; amen; amen; Apostle. 105 They committed a sin; amen; and you know what? They died in another; they sure did; because Yahweh made a way; amen; where he would clothe them with the death of another; amen; amen; oh hallelujah; glory; oh hallelujah; that may be one of the most powerful verses in the Bible because it's one we don't never focus on; we sort of skim over; and Yahweh clothed them; amen. 106 He was the one that cursed them; you're going to die; amen; oh but I'm glad I serve a God that created a way; Yahweh created a way; hallelujah; now before we close tonight I'm trying to lay a small foundation for tomorrow; the question now is what qualified that lamb to die in Adam's place. 107 We always said because it was pure; no; no; the animal's innocence didn't qualify it to represent Christ or to represent the sinner; the animal's innocence qualified it to legally become Adam; every substitute in scripture operates with a dual nature, innocence and guilt; I want you to listen to that; you've got to comprehend this legally: how can something be essentially innocent and legally guilty? If you ever grasp that you'll solve the mystery of the whole gospel. 108 You'll understand why he that knew no sin became sin; no sin; became sin; became; yes sir; amen; guilty; yes sir; amen; amen; amen; he was essentially innocent; yes he was; but he was legally guilty; guilty; amen; amen; amen; hallelujah; thank you; hallelujah; thank you Father. 109 And the Father could kill him; why? Because he was willing to lay down his life; the Bible said what greater love hath this, that a man would lay down his life for his friends; brothers and sisters, you hear me and hear me well: whenever we're talking about the priesthood, Yeshua had to fulfill this role before he could fulfill the priesthood. 110 Hallelujah; amen; amen; because now he sits in heaven as our high; come on now; hallelujah; if anyone's going to join the remnant priesthood they must first become the lamb, sir, before they become the priest; and here's why: in the priesthood, Sister Madison, preachers will focus on the sin and we've all committed it; the church will focus on the consequences; the priesthood will clothe them; amen; amen. 111 Anybody here tonight? Hallelujah; oh hallelujah; oh yes; wow; the preacher will preach against their sin and the concept; but there is a priesthood that is rising that will take them and say yes you sinned; and yes you deserve death, but there is joy coming in the morning; hallelujah; and I come to you with that joy; hallelujah. 112 We've come to tell the world, we've got clothes for your naked self; hallelujah; and now you might understand what Yeshua meant when he said these words: I was naked and you didn't clothe me; he wasn't talking about clothes; he was talking about reconciliation; hallelujah; oh hallelujah; the world is naked but the priesthood has their clothes. 113 Amen; the priesthood; if you ever get the concept of the priesthood you'll become ministers of reconciliation as Paul talked about; you will become clothing of a naked world; hallelujah; hallelujah; you will understand your role is to bring clothing; yes; not shame; amen; nakedness was shame; that's right; but notice that Yahweh did not come in the garden to talk about their nakedness; he came to them to bring them a lamb slain from the foundations of the world and clothe them with righteousness. 114 Amen; hallelujah; hallelujah; Father help me tonight to get this out the way you gave it to me; hallelujah; sometimes I wonder when I'm teaching if we comprehend the magnanimity of what the Father is revealing; because if we were, we wouldn't look so tired; we would feast on what I'm feeding you; no one in the world has ever heard this; no they haven't; no one; no one; there is no ministry teaching this; none; none; you're hearing it maybe for the first time: the role of the priesthood. 115 Now Genesis 4:3-4: and in process of time it came to pass that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord; now this has been one of those hmm scriptures I never could understand; how Yahweh hated Cain and Cain had done no good or evil; the Bible said Yahweh hated Cain before he was born; wow; I've always wondered how could Yahweh hate Cain; I mean before he was a murderer he wasn't that bad of a boy; what does Yahweh hate about Cain? 116 It doesn't; those are scriptures that if you don't get an answer Satan will get an entrance; come on; I'm fixing to teach you what Yahweh hated about Cain; read verse 4: and Abel he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof; and the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering; verse 5: but unto Cain and to his offering he had no respect; and Cain was very wroth and his countenance fell; do you know why Yahweh had no respect for his offering? Because Cain did not understand what Abel understood; there had to be a priesthood; yes sir; amen. 117 Two brothers, two offerings, and two dramatically different results; and they're both, watch this please: Cain and Abel are both lovers of God; yes; amen; amen; Apostle; come on; they're both headed to church; amen; they're both bringing worship to Yahweh; both of them are coming; Abel's offering was accepted; why was Cain's rejected? Well the church will tell you because Abel brought blood and Cain brought vegetables; no; Abel understood priesthood; Cain did not. 118 Oh hallelujah; Abel brought the firstling of his flock; do you know why? Because Abel was a sinner; oh; and Cain didn't see nothing wrong with himself; and he understood he couldn't be saved by his works; wow; he had to transfer his guilt to another; amen; amen; to another; hallelujah; where did he learn that? Daddy; Adam; oh hallelujah. 119 Adam said: son, I was supposed to die; but because of the priesthood, not because of the lamb, because of the priesthood; that's where we all miss the gospel; amen; amen; that's why I despise the message of the finished work of the cross; without the priesthood the lamb does no good; amen; amen; there must be a priesthood; amen; that's interceding for all men or else the blood won't work; amen; hallelujah. 120 Amen; here comes Abel; he was a sinner; he understood he had to die; so he brought his death; he brought his substitute; he sure did; he understood the system; he understood that he had to die; so therefore to please Yahweh he was willing to die for his sin through another; oh amen; amen; he brought the firstling; the lamb that Abel offered, listen: did not represent Christ; it represented Abel. 121 Amen; hallelujah; right there; Abel didn't bring a future Christ; Abel brought himself through the lamb; wow; he understood the law of the substitutionary priesthood; what did he do? He went and listen, he didn't just bring a lamb because the priest can't just bring the lamb; he killed the lamb and took the blood and placed it upon himself for propitiation for himself; hallelujah. 122 Cain brought the fruit of the ground; this wasn't about bringing vegetables instead of blood; it was a rejection of the priesthood; it was a man that was trying to get forgiveness without the priesthood; amen; it was self-righteousness; my works are sufficient, right? I don't need a substitute; I can approach God on my own way; death is not required for me to be accepted. 123 Brothers and sisters, what I'm telling you: years ago when the Father revealed to me about Passover lambs, how we were to present ourselves every year because we also were lambs; that's right; please let all this tie together in your spirit; the Father was trying to teach me back then; hallelujah; hallelujah; I got it; hallelujah; here a little; yeah; the Father was trying to teach me this 10 years ago about the lambs of Passover: how that we die; but I didn't understand until now why we must die every year; amen. 124 It's not for ourselves; oh, I'll get there one day, where I'm headed; if you could see where I'm headed with this message, if you could see where I'm going to wind up, oh you'd already be shouting because this is that boring foundation; but when I get where I'm going you'll understand the priesthood; amen; Cain offered himself to God instead of a substitute; that's right; Abel established the pattern and that pattern has echoed through all eternity. 125 Finally there's a man getting off of a boat by the name of Noah; Genesis 7:21-23: and all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl and of cattle and of beasts and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth and every man; all in whose nostrils was the breath of life of all that was in the dry land died; and every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground; and Noah only remained alive and they that were with him in the ark. 126 Go to chapter 8 verse 20: now the flood has ended; Noah is coming off of the ark; Genesis chapter 8 verse 20: and Noah builded an altar unto Yahweh; what's the first thing when Noah comes off the ark that he does? He fulfills the priesthood; amen; read it: and he took of every clean beast and of every clean fowl and offered burnt offerings on the altar; Noah understood that he stood as a priest for the world that had just died and for the eight souls that were with him and for the new world; he understood that there had to be a substitutionary sacrifice for everyone that crossed those waters. 127 Now many people think he got off and he was just thanking God for the flood; no; Noah understood the priesthood was necessary if the new world was going to survive; listen to me and listen carefully: there is only one reason Yahweh saved Noah; it was to save the priesthood; wow; since you didn't get it I'll try that again; amen; he only saved Noah because the earth must have a priesthood; hallelujah; that's right; hallelujah. 128 I listened to one of your sermons on the way up here, "Ark in the Hidden Sea"; yeah; and you said that there's another people getting ready to get off the; wow; well there you go; that's the priesthood; that's the priesthood; that's the priesthood; see it's all tied together; all these sermons like I hear, all of this in all of these sermons, it's scattered; it is; but it's all tying together for a reason; Yahweh wants us to know who we are; amen; that's right; we are not a church; no; we are a priesthood; amen; amen. 129 Hallelujah; Noah didn't offer these sacrifices out of thanksgiving; it was out of atonement; this wasn't a token offering; this was a comprehensive substitution for everyone that was on the ark; he knew that they were all sinners as well; and he wanted to start the new world with the priesthood in order; the priesthood that could never die; hallelujah; amen; because if there's not a priest left on the earth there won't be an earth left; amen; hallelujah. 130 Now what was Yahweh's response to this substitutionary offering? Verse 21: and the Lord smelled a sweet savor; now what was the sweet savor? He wasn't sniffing; no; but he so desired a priesthood; that's right; amen; he smelled incense; yes; amen; he smelled the incense of the prayers of the saints; when I get to the book of Revelation I'm going to tie it all together for you; hallelujah; Noah was the priest the high priest of the earth; now the Bible said Yahweh smelled the ministry of the priesthood. 131 Read: and Yahweh said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground anymore for man's sake, for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite anymore everything living; wow; so if I have a priesthood everybody gets to live; is that right? Yes sir; is that what I just read? Amen; yes sir; my God; anybody here tonight? Hallelujah; because I've got a priesthood everybody lives; hallelujah; the priesthood is the remnant of Israel; hallelujah; because he had a priesthood everybody gets to live now. 132 Not because; watch this: after the flood they could have let those animals off the ark and one animal could have just died on its own and nobody would have lived; but because there was a priest that knew the substitution now I'll never destroy mankind again; wow; do you not understand now why he said I sought for a man to just stand in the gap? I've always sought for the priesthood; the priest stands in the gap; that's right; amen. 133 I'm trying to get out of here tonight; but I'd like to stop one more place if I could and show you the priesthood; Genesis 22 and I'm almost done; verse 2: and he said, take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah, and offer him therefore a burnt offering; Abraham had sinned; Abraham told his wife to lie that she was his sister; Abraham had gotten ahead of God; and now Abraham had to die; but the problem is Abraham was a friend of God; so now there had to be a substitute; hallelujah; for Abraham; hallelujah. 134 And so the substitute was a willing son; yes; oh hallelujah; innocent willing son that would die for his father; amen; woo; and yet Abraham obeyed without hesitation; why? Because Abraham understood substitutionary priesthood so much that he knew; listen: Abraham never went up that mountain worried about the death of his son; not one time; I'm going to prove it to you in a minute; you know why? He understood what Noah understood: the substitutionary priesthood; he knew that if his son was guilty of his sin Yahweh would provide another substitute for his son. 135 Hallelujah; amen; hallelujah; because that was the system; I'd like to prove it to you; chapter 22 verse 5: and Abraham said unto his young men, abide ye here with the ass, and I and the lad will go yonder and worship and come again to you; what did Abraham just say? Me and the boy are coming back; hold our horses; yes sir; that's what he said; yes sir; we coming back; hold our horses; how do you know? Aren't you going to kill him? 136 Here's why I know: because I understand that even though my son is guilty I know Yahweh will provide himself a substitution; I know that already; amen; and if he doesn't, according to Hebrews 11:9, it said that Abraham said that God would raise him from the dead if he killed him; wow; hallelujah; oh yeah; so here they go up the mountain and sure enough it's time to die; and verse 13 says: and Abraham lifted up his eyes and behold behind him there was a ram caught in the thicket; there was that substitute; and Abraham went and took the ram and offered him up in the place of his son; hallelujah. 137 Hallelujah; as a substitute for his son; what was Abraham that day? Let me ask you a question: why couldn't Abraham send that boy up the mountain and tell him to kill himself? Because it required a priesthood; that's right; Abraham was the priest of the home; Abraham had to kill the boy; amen; one day you'll understand priesthood; when you do your walk with Yahweh will forever be changed; I've not gotten there yet; I can't get there because I can't get out of the Old Testament; when I get in the New you'll see you. 138 Oh yeah; amen; amen; amen; Apostle; you've got to know who you are or you'll never do what you're called to do; amen; hallelujah; praise Yahweh; the ram did not represent Christ; the ram represented Isaac; yes it did; amen; Isaac deserved to die; but the ram became Isaac; and do you know what Abraham named that place? Jehovah Yireh; Yahweh will provide; woo! Shout out; he'll provide the substitute; hallelujah; he will provide me another son in the form of a lamb or a ram; amen; glory to God. 139 Now tonight by the way that was a mighty big stack to get through and we're at the last three pages so hang tight; hallelujah; now I want to transition from the patriarchs and take you to the Torah, Moses; I want to show you how we went from the priest of the home: Noah, Abraham, Abel; and I want to show you where everything changes. 140 Can you take your computer up there? You can kill lambs all day long; you can have blood flowing out of the valley; but without a priesthood to execute the blood; amen; amen; amen; you don't have nothing; so now an entire nation comes under the covenant of the priesthood; what did the priest do? Surprise; they inspected the animals; that's what they did; hallelujah; hallelujah; that's it; hallelujah; they inspected the animals; woo; only the qualified animals could serve as substitute. 141 That's right; and then after they inspected the animal what was the next thing that the priesthood would do? Let's read it; Leviticus 16:21: and Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat and confess over him; and confess over the goat; all the iniquities; all the iniquities; of the children of Israel; he would lay his hands; listen to me: without that priesthood laying hands and touching the sacrifice; yes; yes; amen; amen; then the world is still guilty even though the lamb died; yes sir; amen; amen; Apostle. 142 My God; even though you can kill the goat, you can kill the lamb, but until a priest connects the dead lamb with the living people there is no transference of the sin; amen; Apostle; hallelujah; hallelujah; glory to Yahweh; why? At that moment you had an innocent animal but now legally guilty; how did the animal become legally guilty? By the authority of the priesthood; amen; amen; Apostle; hallelujah. 143 Hallelujah; it was the authority of them two human hands that would take the blood and transfer the sins of the people to the lamb; it was not Yeshua that did that; it was the priesthood; amen; amen; the outer court is where the sacrifices died, the brazen altar, the laver; but listen: after the outer court it was the priest that had to take the blood through the candlestick, by the table of showbread and the altar of incense, and take it to the holy of holies; without the priesthood if the blood never reaches God, right? Amen. 144 Somebody say the atonement; the atonement; was not completed; was not completed; until the Holy of Holies; until the Holy of Holies; that's right; and now you know why the scripture says and now you can come boldly into the holy of holies; hallelujah; why are you coming into the holy of holies? You'll find out tomorrow morning; but watch this: without the brazen laver here we have a dead lamb and it represents the people; but where's the priesthood? Without the priesthood legally, right? Legally taking the people upon themselves now and bringing them into the throne room; amen; the blood will never get them. 145 Hallelujah; that's right; hallelujah; oh wow; I've come to tell you Yeshua died for the whole world; but it's the priesthood that will bring his blood to the whole world; oh yeah; hallelujah; oh God help me now; Father you can kill Christ on the cross but somebody's got to take him; yes sir; into the throne room on behalf of the people; hallelujah; that's why he said I sought for a man, I begged for a man that would stand in the gap between me and the people and make up the hedge; oh hallelujah. 146 Access to Yahweh requires substitutionary death; every day, twice a day; watch this; I'm fixing to show you now why the apostles prayed twice a day; the apostles prayed at the hour of prayer; do you know what the hour of prayer was? In the morning and in the evening; do you know why that was? Because the priesthood in the tabernacle daily, morning and evening, had to bring burnt offerings morning and evening; the priesthood of the old had to do it twice a day; the daily sacrifice. 147 They brought the people; yes; into the presence through the death of the lamb; it's not the death of the lamb that's going to bring the people to God; it's the priesthood; priesthood; amen; amen; oh amen; amen; Christ was reconciling us to the Father; but only the priesthood can reconcile the Father to the people; amen; amen; hallelujah. 148 Israel lived under a constant cycle of substitutionary offerings; and I'm not going to bore you with all these five different offerings; I love the shalam offering, the peace offering; I wish I had time to talk about the mena, the meal offering, all these offerings that the priesthood had to offer; when you understand; well can I give you an example? Just one; the shalam offering. 149 Every day the priest presented the shalam offering or the peace offering; it was a communion meal made possible by the atonement; it was literally this peace offering that would bring peace to the nation; and that's why you and I when we go around saying this word shalom; you don't understand what you're doing; nothing broken; you're in the peace offering; amen. 150 You're the only people on earth saying that word; amen; I think I'll try this again; glory; amen; amen; the peace offering, the shalam offering: shalom; yes sir; when it is spoken from the mouths of the priesthood; yes sir; it's not a shalom brother; no, it's an earthshaking offering of peace to the world through the mouth of the priesthood; shalom; hallelujah; hallelujah; shalom; shalom; shalom; shalom; we offer peace to the world. 151 And to remember: the animals didn't symbolize Christ; last page; we're good; they symbolized the Israelites under judgment; the priest transferred the guilt of the people onto the animals; the animals died as the legal representative; and then tomorrow morning I want to pick up right here and we're going to start with the Passover. 152 And when I get done tomorrow it's my prayer that you will see yourself; yes; and why Yahweh brought you to First Harvest Ministries: to be a priest; it truly is; I didn't realize it when I gave it the slogan; it truly is training for reigning; amen; truly; amen; schooling, it truly is, for ruling; why? Yahweh's calling everyone in this ministry into the priesthood; that's right; amen; exactly right. 153 He's calling you to know what the priesthood is supposed to do; and when you understand the power of the priesthood you're no longer just saying there's power in the blood; yeah; the power of the priest; there's power in the priest; amen; that's right; let's all stand; hallelujah; hallelujah; hallelujah; hallelujah; thank you for coming out tonight; I wish you all shalom; amen; shabbat shalom; shalom; shabbat shalom. 154 Father Yahweh, I come to you tonight; I've brought your word as best I know how; hallelujah; I don't know how else to bring it and to break it down for the people; but I pray tonight you can take my feeble words, my cracking voice, and place within a group of people the desire to become who you've called them to be: the priesthood of Israel; in the name of Yeshua I pray; amen; amen; shabbat shalom; amen; praise the Lord; hallelujah; thank you; shalom; glory; glory; glory; we love you.

Summary

This lesson begins with Paul's statement concerning baptism for the dead and uses that difficult passage as the doorway into a broader doctrine called substitutionary priesthood. The speaker argues that from the Garden of Eden onward Yahweh established a legal system whereby a qualified and willing substitute could bear the penalty of another. Using Adam and Eve, Abel and Cain, Noah, Abraham and Isaac, and the Levitical priesthood, the teaching develops the principle that substitution requires priestly mediation. Special emphasis is placed on the transfer of guilt through priestly action, the laying on of hands, and the role of the priest as mediator between Yahweh and humanity. The lesson culminates in the claim that the remnant is being restored to its true identity as a priesthood of reconciliation that stands in the gap for others. The message presents substitutionary priesthood as a foundational doctrine necessary for understanding sacrifice, atonement, reconciliation, and the work of the Kingdom.
