Find my blog, but in the meantime let's get down to business tonight. All right? I'm going to unlock every single headline that you've been confused about over the last 24 hours from the Middle East. Yesterday Friday, April the 17th the global oil market had a heart attack. Because the Strait of Hormuz, the single most important waterway on planet Earth opened and closed on the same day. (01:58) Not the same week, not the same month but the same day. Now let me walk you through the tape or the timeline and then I'll explain the insanity of it all. 8:45 in the morning, Friday morning, Eastern time. Iran's foreign minister a fellow by the name of Abbas he got on Twitter with his phone and made an announcement to the world at 8:45 Friday morning. (02:32) And here was the announcement. The Strait of Hormuz is completely open. It's completely open. Now this is not coming from a janitor. This is not coming from a wanna-be whomever. This is coming from Iran's foreign minister. 21 minutes later at 9:06 a.m. the great president, the grand duke himself, Donald Trump sent out a truth thanking the foreign minister for the reopening. (03:12) And then the market goes nuts. >> [snorts] >> US crude oil collapses over 11% the Dow Jones jumps 868 points and briefly went above 1,100. Wall Street hit an all-time record after that tweet. And for 3 hours on Friday morning the world thought that peace had arrived. Donald Trump said so because the foreign minister of Iran said so. (03:51) It's not something he made up. It's not something he created. It's something he echoed. And then ladies and gentlemen after we thought peace had arrived the Revolutionary Guard picked up the phone. By 2:30 in the afternoon the Iran's parliamentary speaker announced that the deal was dead. And then the Islamic Revolutionary Guard known as the IRGC they released their own statement. (04:35) And I want you to read their words carefully. Listen as I read them. They said passage is only possible with the permission of the IRGC navy. Now think about that. 9:30 that morning the foreign minister says it's wide open. 2:30 that afternoon the IRGC says oh no, only with our permission. Not the foreign minister's permission, not the president's permission, not parliament's position, but the IRGC, the Revolutionary Guard's permission only. (05:19) And then it got very ugly in Iran. Because the IRGC's own news agency publicly attacked the foreign minister that made the tweet at 9:30 that morning. The army, the military released their own statement attacking their prime minister. So let me help you understand. It would be like a general of the military in the United States releasing a statement attacking the Secretary of State. (05:57) They attacked him, their own top diplomat of their government and said that his announcements showed a complete lack of tact and information dissemination. Ladies and gentlemen right after they released that they released another tweet, the IRGC and they said that the prime minister or the foreign minister rather had plunged Iran society into an atmosphere of confusion. (06:33) And then a recording was leaked from the IRGC. You got to hear this. A recording surfaced from the IRGC navy itself. It was leaked. And here's what was on the recording. We will open the Strait by the order of our leader not by the tweets of some idiot. Yeah, idiot. Iran's military on an open channel called their own foreign minister an idiot. (07:14) In public, in the middle of a war with the Dow Jones hanging in the balance and meanwhile the IRGC gunboats were out in the Gulf firing on an Indian oil tanker called the Sanmar Harold while the captain was on the radio pleading for his life. So let me summarize what happened on Friday. Live on social media with a global economy hanging in the balance. (07:50) Number one the foreign minister said peace. Number two, Donald Trump said yes. Number three, the military IRGC said war. Number four the military called their foreign minister an idiot. Number five, THE MILITARY SHOT AT A tanker while the foreign minister is still tweeting about peace. My fellow Americans, that's not diplomacy. That is a state eating itself alive on television. (08:27) Now before I explain to you how all that happened hit that share button right now. If you're following along and you're learning anything there's other people desperate for answers. There are people that they cannot make sense out of what's happening. But I'm fixing to unveil it all for you. Tell me where you're watching from tonight. (08:53) I want to see where you're watching. I want to know where the people are tonight. I want to see the map light up for me tonight. So let's keep going. I want to explain to you the secret that the cable news, the legacy media, the mainstream does not understand. They will not say it out loud, so I'm going to. Iran is no longer a country with one government. (09:23) It is a country now with two governments under one flag. And I just gave you the secret. If you will understand what I just told you, Iran is no longer a single nation under a single government as it was under the Ayatollah Khomeini. It is now two governments. The snake has grown two heads. >> [snorts] >> What you saw on Friday was not Donald Trump falsely claiming peace and falsely claiming this straight is open. (10:05) Donald Trump himself has not quite figured out what I'm telling you. He was echoing the decision of one of two governments. One government wears suits. They go to the United Nations. They talk about nuclear inspections, regional stability. They sit across from J.D. Vance in Islamabad making negotiations, making deals. (10:39) That's government number one. But there is a second government and they wear a uniform. They own the oil. They run the airports. They guard the missiles. They control the nukes and they keep their finger on the trigger of the Strait of Hormuz. You now in Iran have two capitals, two budgets, two militaries, two foreign policies, one nation. (11:12) The snake has two heads and you have zero [snorts] chain of command between those two competing governments. Donald Trump is negotiating with government. Everything he tells you that turns out to look like, "What is he talking about? Does he not know what he's doing?" He absolutely does. The only problem, Mr. (11:37) Trump, that he must understand and all of his State Department must comprehend, you're echoing an agreement between one of two governments. And that's where all the confusion is coming from. Now, how did we get there? How do we now have two governments under one nation? We've got to rewind just a little bit so you can understand how Iran wound up with two governments. (12:08) Let's go to 1979. The Shah of Iran, the legitimate leader of Iran, the Shah, has fallen. Okay, he's fallen out of power. When he falls, here comes the Ayatollah Khomeini and lands in in Islamabad. He gets off the plane from Paris and takes over Tehran. But the Ayatollah Khomeini has a problem in 1979. Because Iran has a military. (12:48) The Ayatollah does not. The Shah has a military. Iran has a military. And that military that professional uniformed navy, army, air force, everyone in that military has sworn their loyalty to the Shah, not the Ayatollah Khomeini. They have pledged their loyalty to the Shah that has just fallen. Ayatollah comes in. (13:24) He Iran has a military, but he does not. To try to make this very simple, the Queen of England, all of the military in England does not pledge their allegiance to England. They pledge it to her. So if she falls down and somebody flies in and takes over Buckingham Palace and says, "I'm the new queen. I'm the new king. (13:52) " That military has no allegiance to this new king. So you can say you're the new king all day long, but if you don't have a military to fight this military, you're a joke. You're powerless. You don't have any power at all. The Ayatollah found himself in that situation. So what did he do? He did not trust them and he knew that he could not purge them all. (14:19) So he needed somebody to defend the borders. So the Iranian army, he kept them and they defended the border, but there was no loyalty to him. So what does he do? He builds a second army. Listen to that carefully. When the Ayatollah gets to Iran, there's already an Iranian army, okay? They're not loyal to him. (14:49) They're loyal to Iran, the borders, the people, but not to him. So he comes in and builds his own army called the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corporation, IRGC. Their job is not to defend Iran. Their job is to defend him and his revolution. Two militaries, same country, but two chains of command. That was 46 years ago. And that second army that the Ayatollah built did not stay small. (15:31) It grew very large. Four and a half decades, the Revolutionary Guard metastasized into something America has never seen before and we still don't understand it. Today they control construction, banking, oil and gas, telecommunications, real estate, and of course the missiles, the nukes, and the proxies. So my friend, 2/3 of the whole economy rest with the IRGC. (16:04) So if you are negotiating with the other government, you're going to continue to look like a fool. It's a state within a state. And it didn't just stay there. The IRGC, they built franchises. Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, Hezbollah, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Gaza. Each one with its own commander, its own weapons, its own money, all going back to the IRGC. (16:37) I see folks watching from Texas, Alabama, California, Ohio. Welcome to Toto tonight. Keep sharing. This information needs to get out to people. On February the 28th of this year, 7 weeks ago, the US and Israeli forces killed the Ayatollah Khomeini, Iran's supreme leader, dead and gone. For 46 years, he was the only man on Earth who could give the Revolutionary Guard an order that they would follow. (17:13) Now he's gone. Do you see the problem? So what did Iran do? And here's what the mainstream media is burying and I want you to listen to this carefully because you will not hear this on any other broadcast tonight. Ali Khamenei left a written will. And in that will, he specifically stated he did not want his son to succeed him. (17:45) But the IRGC overrode that will and they put his son, Mojtaba, as the new supreme leader. On March the 9th, Mojtaba Khomeini was declared the third supreme leader of the Islamic Republic. Now, ladies and gentlemen, here's the secret to it all. On that day, on March the 9th, the IRGC made a pledge to their leader, Mojtaba Khomeini, and they pledged him complete obedience and self-sacrifice. (18:28) So until Mojtaba gives an order to open the Strait of Hormuz, it's never going to open. Yes, you made a deal with the foreign minister, but it's not the foreign minister that can open that straight. It's the IRGC and Mojtaba Khomeini. And they pledged their obedience to this man. Now, I want to explain that to you so you comprehend it. (19:00) There's another man by the name of Abbas Araqchi, Iran's foreign minister, the man tweeting about peace. He's not a fool. He is a diplomat many decades in Iran. He has a PhD and he knows exactly what the IRGC is. And that means when he's tweeting about peace on the straight, he's not confused. He's not misinformed. (19:30) He's a man standing in front of a burning building telling you the fire department is on the way because the alternative for him is to admit on the record to the whole world he has no authority over the arsonists. The foreign minister is standing in front of a burning building telling you the fire department's on the way because he has no authority over the arsonist. (20:02) So, the tragedy of Islamabad is not that Iran is negotiating in bad faith. The tragedy is that Iran's diplomats are negotiating in good faith about a fire they cannot put out. So, what does that mean for President Trump? Every time President Trump has told you the war is over, he was not lying to you. He was echoing one government out of two. (20:37) And hopefully now our State Department is realizing you cannot negotiate with just one of two governments. So, what is Donald Trump supposed to do? Where does it leave President Trump? Here's what Professor Toto sees from the top of the Toto Tower where I'm sitting tonight. The answer is not diplomacy nor military action. (21:09) Remember, the IRGC are 12ers. They long to start the next Third World War because if they start it, their Imam, their 12th Imam will return and the whole world will become Muslim, Islamic. The answer, Mr. President, is not in diplomacy nor in military action. The answer is a ladder, an escalation ladder targeted squarely at one thing, the wallet of the IRGC. (21:52) Now, Professor Toto has just given you the secret to winning this war. Military's not going to do it. They love it. They're waiting for it. They want to blow the whole world up. And negotiations are not going to work either because you're only negotiating with one of two governments. So, you have to create a ladder with several rungs on that ladder. (22:17) And that ladder has to reach one thing, the wallet of the IRGC, not the Iranian people. So, let's build that ladder real quick before I go tonight. Rung number one, stop pretending. Declare publicly, Mr. President, that any future deal signed by the Iranian government must be co-signed by the IRGC before we will accept it. (22:52) Not not not just one, but both governments force the IRGC into the room. That's rung number one. In other words, no more negotiation with one of two heads. We want the IRGC at the table and they must sign off also on any future deal. This way you'll never be embarrassed again, Mr. Rung number two, we need a coalition tanker escort. (23:26) France, Germany, all of you must bring your tanker escorts to the Strait of Hormuz. That's exactly what Ronald Reagan did in 1987 with Operation Earnest Will. Reflag those tankers, send in the Navy and protect the shipping. We don't go to war with Iran. We escort those ships with a coalition and we protect those ships with our Navy. That's rung number two. (23:59) Rung number three, we do sanctions on Chinese refineries that are buying IRGC oil. You don't have to bomb them. You just make their oil unsellable. Number three, you immediately sanction China tomorrow if they ever refine another drop of IRGC oil. Make their oil unsellable. Destroy their income. Number four, if the IRGC shoots at a US vessel, as they did in 1988, you finish the job that Ronald Reagan started with Operation Praying Mantis, the largest US surface naval engagements since World War II. (24:56) And within months, the Ayatollah Khomeini himself accepted a ceasefire. It's what they And that's how they backed down in 1988. Because Ronald Reagan didn't negotiate with the snake. He stepped on its tail, its wallet. Donald Trump has the same option, the same gulf, the same choke points, the same Navy doctrine. (25:26) The only question tonight is whether anyone in the current West Wing has read the 1988 file. Go back and read it. The Roman Empire had a phrase for what Iran has become. That phrase was imperium in imperio, which means an empire within an empire. Every civilization that's ever tried to negotiate with an empire within an empire while pretending that the civilian government is in charge has all learned the same lesson the hard way and at a great cost. (26:09) The Persian Empire fell at the Strait of Salamis. Byzantine Empire fell at the Strait of Bosphorus. The British Empire fell at the Strait of Suez. And the American Empire, if we're not careful, we may discover our own lesson at the Strait of Hormuz where the snake is waiting with two heads and 17 tails and a figurehead supreme leader who answers to the Revolutionary Guard that installed him. (26:49) So, tonight, now you understand the best of the story. The Iranian government does not represent its people because it has two governments. Good evening to every one of you. I pray you learned something tonight. And I pray you understand why when Donald Trump makes an announcement about Iran, it's changes in just a few hours.
