Summary
This Day of Atonement sermon presents the day as a celebratory preview of the future rather than a day of mourning. The prophet's eyes go behind the veil to see the end, and the priest's hands bring that verdict back to the people. The two goats show the deceived cleansed by blood and the deceiver, the accuser, removed and bound (Revelation 20). Believers are urged to hold that 'memory from the future' and overcome this age by what they see in the next.
