SEALED FOR SEVEN DAYS A Warning to the Remnant: Don't Leave the Ark A Sermon by Rev. John Shane Vaughn First Harvest Ministries International "And YAHWEH shut him in." — Genesis 7:16 "And it came to pass AFTER SEVEN DAYS, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth." — Genesis 7:10 First Harvest Ministries International | 1 THE DOOR SHUT — BUT THE RAIN DIDN'T FALL There's something in Genesis chapter 7 that most people read right past. Something hidden in plain sight. Look at verse 16. YAHWEH shut him in. The door is closed. The seal is set. Eight souls are inside a wooden box on dry ground, and the God of heaven Himself has shut the door behind them. Now. When does the rain start? Everybody knows this story. Everybody has heard it since they were a child in Sunday school. The door shuts — and the rain comes. The door shuts — and the judgment falls. The door shuts — and Noah is vindicated. That is not what the text says. Look at verse 10: "And it came to pass AFTER SEVEN DAYS, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth." — Genesis 7:10 SEVEN DAYS. First Harvest Ministries International | 2 YAHWEH shut the door — and then nothing happened for SEVEN DAYS. Seven days sealed inside a vessel while the world went on OUTSIDE as if nothing had happened. Seven days of no vindication. Seven days of no proof. Seven days of no rain. Just... silence. Just... waiting. Just... FAITH. Beloved, I want to take you inside those seven days tonight. Not as a history lesson. As a mirror. And I declare to you tonight — this was not written down to preserve a memory. THIS WAS PLACED IN YOUR BIBLE FOR AN ENSAMPLE. "Now all these things happened unto them for ENSAMPLES: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come." — 1 Corinthians 10:11 UPON WHOM THE ENDS OF THE WORLD ARE COME. That is not Noah's generation. First Harvest Ministries International | 3 THAT IS THIS GENERATION. Those seven days were recorded, preserved, and carried across five thousand years for AN END- TIME GENERATION — for AN END-TIME CHOSEN PEOPLE. THEY WERE WRITTEN FOR YOU. And when you see what happened inside that ark, you are going to recognize your own life. First Harvest Ministries International | 4 BEFORE WE GO IN: WHAT IS THE DOOR? The ark had a DOOR. And when YAHWEH shut it, that door became a SEAL — a separation between those inside and those outside. And beloved, stop right there — because THE VERY MEANING OF HOLINESS IS SEEN IN THAT DOOR. The Hebrew is שׁ
דֶקֹ (qodesh) — and it means SET APART. CUT OFF. SEPARATED. To be HOLY is to be SEPARATED. That is why YAHWEH does not say "be moral, for I am moral." He says: "Ye shall be HOLY: for I YAHWEH your God am HOLY." — Leviticus 19:2 "And ye shall be holy unto me: for I YAHWEH am holy, and have SEVERED YOU FROM OTHER PEOPLE, that ye should be mine." — Leviticus 20:26 "HAVE SEVERED YOU FROM OTHER PEOPLE." First Harvest Ministries International | 5 SEVERED. Cut. Divided. SEPARATED. So look at that ark again. Eight souls on the inside. An entire world on the outside. And a door in between. THAT DOOR IS HOLINESS. Not a feeling. Not a performance. Not a wardrobe. A SEPARATION. A SEPARATED PEOPLE. SEALED IN HOLINESS. SEALED BY SEPARATION. So what is the thing that separates YAHWEH's people from the world? Scripture answers plainly: "Verily my SABBATHS ye shall keep: for it is A SIGN between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am YAHWEH that doth sanctify you." — Exodus 31:13 First Harvest Ministries International | 6 "And hallow my SABBATHS; and they shall be A SIGN between me and you, that ye may know that I am YAHWEH your God." — Ezekiel 20:20 THE SEAL IS THE SABBATH. The sign of the covenant. The mark of His people. The door the remnant walks through — and once they are through it, YAHWEH SHUTS THEM IN. That's all you need for now. Hold it. Because you are about to find out what it costs to stand behind that door when the rain doesn't fall. First Harvest Ministries International | 7 PART ONE: SEVEN DAYS IN A SEALED BOX Come with me. Step through the door. Feel it close behind you. DAY ONE The door swings shut. You hear the sound of divine sealing — a sound you cannot explain but cannot deny. YAHWEH has shut you in. And for a moment there is AWE. Holy fear. The overwhelming sense that you are exactly where you are supposed to be. You look at your family. Eight souls. Out of an entire world — eight. The animals are settled. The provisions are stored. Everything YAHWEH commanded has been done. And now... you wait. Outside, you can hear them. The neighbors. The mockers. The ones who watched you build this enormous thing on dry ground for decade after decade. "Noah! Is it raining yet?" Laughter. First Harvest Ministries International | 8 "Come out, old man! Your God has failed you!" More laughter. "The door is shut — but where's your flood?" And here is the first test: The door is shut, but nothing has changed OUTSIDE. The sun still rises. The merchants still trade. The children still play in the streets. The weddings still happen. The world goes on AS IF NOTHING HAS HAPPENED. And you are sitting inside a sealed box, smelling like animals, with nothing but YAHWEH's word to hold onto. THE TEMPTATION OF DAY ONE IS DOUBT. "Did YAHWEH really say...?" "Did I hear correctly?" "Maybe I was wrong. Maybe I misunderstood." "Maybe the rain isn't coming after all." But Noah stayed. Don't let the first day shake you. Don't let the silence fool you. The rain IS coming. First Harvest Ministries International | 9 DAY TWO The second day dawns. And nothing has changed. The sun rises AGAIN. The world carries on AGAIN. And the mockery... intensifies. Because now it isn't just laughter. Now it is ACCUSATION. "You thought you were better than us!" "You built this boat because you think we deserve to die!" "You're a CULT, Noah! You've been deceived!" And inside the ark, the doubt shifts. It is no longer doubt about YAHWEH. It is doubt about YOURSELF. "Maybe I AM crazy." "Maybe they're RIGHT about me." "Maybe I've dragged my family into my delusion." And here is the worst part of Day Two. Your family starts looking at you. First Harvest Ministries International | 10 Not accusing. Not angry. Just... watching. Waiting to see if your faith holds. Because if YOUR faith cracks — theirs will follow. THE TEMPTATION OF DAY TWO IS SHAME. You begin to feel embarrassed about your faith. You begin to wish you had been less... PUBLIC about it. "Maybe I should have just blended in." But Noah stayed. The mockery doesn't prove you're wrong. The mockery proves you're ON THE ARK. DAY THREE By the third day, the mockery takes a different turn. Now they are not laughing at you. Now they are CELEBRATING without you. You can hear the music outside. The feasts. The festivals. The sound of life going on. "Did you hear? There's a wedding in the village!" "The harvest festival is tonight!" First Harvest Ministries International | 11 "Everyone is gathering — except those fools in the box." And inside the ark, you feel the weight of ISOLATION. You are not part of the world anymore. You cannot go to the festivals. You cannot join the celebrations. You are SET APART — and it HURTS. And here is what makes Day Three so dangerous: The world seems to be THRIVING without you. Everything is fine out there. People are happy. Prosperous. Living their lives. And you are stuck inside... waiting on a judgment that hasn't come. THE TEMPTATION OF DAY THREE IS ENVY. "They're having all the fun." "They seem happy." "Am I missing out?" But Noah did not crack the door to join the festival. WHAT'S OUTSIDE THE ARK IS NOT WHAT IT APPEARS TO BE. First Harvest Ministries International | 12 Those festivals will be silenced. Those celebrations will turn to screaming. STAY WHERE YOU ARE. DAY FOUR Day Four is the MIDDLE. The halfway point. And it feels like the LONGEST NIGHT OF YOUR LIFE. By now the initial excitement is gone. The novelty of being "sealed" has worn off. You are tired. You are cramped. You smell like animals. And the voices outside have not stopped. "Four days, Noah! Still no rain!" "Your God has forgotten you!" "You're going to die in that box!" And the worst part of Day Four? You start to wonder if they're right. Not intellectually — you KNOW the truth. But emotionally... something is breaking down. First Harvest Ministries International | 13 The silence of YAHWEH feels unbearable. The waiting feels like abandonment. The darkness inside the ark feels suffocating. THE TEMPTATION OF DAY FOUR IS DESPAIR. You lose hope that the rain will ever come. You start to believe the waiting will never end. You feel alone — even surrounded by family. And this is where most people leave the ark. Not because they stopped believing. But because they could not endure THE MIDDLE. The beginning had excitement. The end will have vindication. But the MIDDLE has only faith. THE MIDDLE IS NOT THE END. Don't leave in the dark what YAHWEH showed you in the light. STAY. DAY FIVE First Harvest Ministries International | 14 Day Five. Something shifts. The mockery has died down. The world outside seems... quiet. Almost peaceful. And that is when the most dangerous thought of the entire week enters your mind: "Maybe I could just crack the door." "Just a peek." "Just to see what's happening out there." You don't want to LEAVE the ark. You just want to SEE. You just want to CHECK. You just want to make sure you're not missing something. THIS IS THE MOST DANGEROUS MOMENT OF THE JOURNEY. Because the door was shut BY YAHWEH. And if you tamper with it — if you try to unseal what HE sealed — you compromise everything. You will tell yourself it is wisdom. "I'm just being practical." "I'm just gathering information." First Harvest Ministries International | 15 "I need to know what's going on out there." But YAHWEH says: "Look not to the right nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil." — Proverbs 4:27 THE TEMPTATION OF DAY FIVE IS COMPROMISE. "Maybe I can have one foot in and one foot out." "Maybe I can keep the seal AND still touch the world's system." "Maybe YAHWEH won't mind if I just..." NO. The door was shut BY YAHWEH. You don't crack it. You don't peek through it. You don't question it. YOU STAY BEHIND IT. DAY SIX Day Six. You can feel it now. Something is SHIFTING. First Harvest Ministries International | 16 The air feels different. The animals are restless. Something is coming. And for the first time in six days, HOPE rises. "Maybe tomorrow..." "Maybe this is almost over..." "Maybe vindication is FINALLY at hand..." But here is the danger of Day Six: You can get so excited about the END that you drop your guard BEFORE the end arrives. You start relaxing. You start assuming the worst is over. You start acting like you have already made it. THE TEMPTATION OF DAY SIX IS PRESUMPTION. You coast on momentum. You stop watching. Stop praying. Stop guarding. But the race is not over until it is OVER. The seal must hold until the LAST DAY. YOU CANNOT CELEBRATE EARLY. First Harvest Ministries International | 17 DAY SEVEN Day Seven. The final day of waiting. The last hours before everything changes. The world outside is still carrying on. The mockers are still mocking. The sun came up again this morning, just like it did on Day One. Nothing — NOTHING — looks any different than it did the moment the door shut. And that is the cruelty of the seventh day. It looks exactly like the first. Six days of testing, and you have absolutely nothing to show for it. No sign. No proof. No vindication. Just one more sunrise over a world that is laughing at you. THE TEMPTATION OF DAY SEVEN IS THE APATHY OF THE EXHAUSTED. You have come SO far. You have endured SO much. And now, with the finish line in sight, you are tempted to just... coast. To go numb. To stop caring whether the rain ever comes at all. First Harvest Ministries International | 18 DON'T DO IT. Day Seven is not the time to relax. Day Seven is the time to DOUBLE DOWN. Because the rain is about to fall. And on the eighth day — The heavens opened. The fountains of the deep burst forth. The mockers SCREAMED. The world that laughed was destroyed. And Noah — the one they called crazy, the one they ridiculed for a hundred years — WALKED OUT INTO A NEW WORLD. First Harvest Ministries International | 19 THE TURN Now. I want to ask you a question. Why does that story feel like YOUR life? Why did you feel Day Two in your chest when I said your family is watching to see if your faith holds? Why did Day Three sting when I talked about the festivals you can't go to anymore? Why did Day Four find you — the middle, the long night, the silence that feels like abandonment? Because those seven days were never JUST seven days. Beloved, hear me. THOSE SEVEN DAYS ARE SEVEN AGES. The seven days between the shutting of the door and the falling of the rain are THE SEVEN CHURCH AGES of Revelation chapters 2 and 3. Two thousand years of a sealed remnant, waiting on a rain that has not yet fallen, while a mocking world carries on outside. We are the ones the world is mocking. AND WE ARE STANDING ON DAY SEVEN. Now let me walk you back through those same seven days. Same door. Same silence. Same mockers. But this time — you're going to see who was in there with you. First Harvest Ministries International | 21 PART TWO: SEVEN AGES BEHIND THE SEAL DAY ONE — THE APOSTOLIC AGE EPHESUS Remnant Voices: JOHN THE APOSTLE • POLYCARP • PAPIAS The door shuts. The first day of the sealed remnant is the apostolic generation — and they had THE FULLNESS. John the Apostle — the Zadokite custodian of truth, the one who reclined on Yahshua's breast. Polycarp — whose name means "MUCH FRUIT" — trained at John's feet. Papias — whose name means "THE GUARD" — ordained to protect the deposit. They had the truth. They had the Sabbath. They had the feasts. They had the Name. But the world did not see it. The world saw a tiny sect. A Jewish superstition. A handful of nobodies following a crucified criminal. And the mockers asked the question of Day One: First Harvest Ministries International | 22 "Where is your Kingdom? Where is your vindication?" THE TEMPTATION OF DAY ONE WAS DOUBT. And Polycarp stayed — even when they burned him alive. Papias stayed — even when they called him a man of very small intelligence. THEY STAYED BEHIND THE SEAL. DAY TWO — THE AGE OF PERSECUTION SMYRNA Remnant Voices: THE QUARTODECIMANS • THE NAZARENES • "THE POOR ONES" The mockery becomes accusation. "You're a cult. You've been deceived." The Quartodecimans — the ones who kept Passover on the fourteenth of Nisan because THAT IS WHAT JOHN TAUGHT THEM. The Nazarenes — the original believers, the "Poor Ones," still keeping Sabbath, still keeping Torah, still refusing to bow to Rome. They were called HERETICS. They were called JUDAIZERS. First Harvest Ministries International | 23 They were hunted, scattered, and killed. And the world said: "If your way is right, why is YAHWEH letting this happen to you?" AND THIS IS WHERE THEY ATTACKED THE BLOODLINE Now hear me, because Day Two is when the enemy stopped arguing about doctrine and started attacking IDENTITY. "You are not who you say you are." So let me tell you who was in that ark. The ark was not open to everyone. The ark was built for A FAMILY — and not just any family. "These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and PERFECT IN HIS GENERATIONS." — Genesis 6:9 That phrase — "perfect in his generations" — is not moral perfection. The Hebrew is יםמִ  תָּ (tamim) — COMPLETE, WHOLE, WITHOUT BLEMISH. And it is attached to his GENERATIONS — his genealogy. His BLOODLINE. Noah was perfect in his SEED LINE. Why does that matter? Because Genesis 6 tells us the bloodlines of the earth were being CORRUPTED. The seed was being contaminated. The enemy was working to First Harvest Ministries International | 24 destroy the line through which Messiah would come. But Noah carried the SETHIAN SEED — the righteous line running from Adam through Seth, through Enoch, through Methuselah, through Lamech, to Noah. A line of FAITH. A line of COVENANT. A line the enemy could not corrupt. So when Smyrna is being burned and slandered and told "you are not the people of God" — THE ANSWER IS THE BLOODLINE. THE TEMPTATION OF DAY TWO IS SHAME. Don't be ashamed of the Sabbath. Don't be ashamed of Torah. Don't be ashamed of the narrow way. THEY STAYED BEHIND THE SEAL — EVEN WHEN IT COST THEM EVERYTHING. DAY THREE — THE AGE OF COMPROMISE PERGAMOS Remnant Voice: THE AUDIANS Now the world celebrates without you. Constantine legalizes Christianity — but he legalizes a COMPROMISED Christianity. The First Harvest Ministries International | 25 world and the "church" make peace, and the empire throws a party. The true remnant faces a choice: join the system, or flee. The Audians fled. They went to the Goths, beyond the borders of the empire. They preserved the Sabbath. They preserved the feasts. They refused the compromise. And the world did not even notice they were gone. AND HERE IS WHO ELSE WAS IN THE ARK You feel isolated in this age. Cast out. Called unclean by everyone outside. So look at what was in the ark with Noah. "Of every CLEAN beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens... and of beasts that are NOT CLEAN by two..." — Genesis 7:2 Clean animals. And unclean animals. The clean ones always knew their identity. They had always been classified as clean. But the "unclean" were ALSO CALLED INTO THE ARK. Brought in with the clean. Sealed together with the clean. They would walk out together with the clean. Inside the ark, there was no separation. THEY WERE ALL ONE FAMILY. First Harvest Ministries International | 26 THE CLEAN = JUDAH. The Jews. The ones who kept their identity. The ones who always knew they were Israel. THE SO-CALLED UNCLEAN = THE LOST TRIBES. The scattered ones. Taken into Assyria. Mixed among the nations. Forgot who they were. Called "unclean" by the world — BUT NEVER ACTUALLY UNCLEAN IN YAHWEH'S EYES. They were always ISRAEL. They were always FAMILY. They were always SEED. "...and I will make them ONE NATION in the land upon the mountains of Israel... and THEY SHALL BE NO MORE TWO NATIONS." — Ezekiel 37:21-22 "...in the place where it was said unto them, YE ARE NOT MY PEOPLE, there it shall be said unto them, YE ARE THE SONS OF THE LIVING GOD." — Hosea 1:10 So when Pergamos leaves you feeling like an outcast — when the world is feasting and you are not invited — YOU WERE NEVER UNCLEAN. YOU WERE ALWAYS FAMILY. THE TEMPTATION OF DAY THREE IS ENVY. First Harvest Ministries International | 27 The Audians did not go back. THEY STAYED BEHIND THE SEAL. DAY FOUR — THE DARK AGES THYATIRA Remnant Voice: THE WALDENSIANS The longest night. A thousand years when the light seemed almost extinguished. The Waldensians — hiding in the mountains, passing scrolls of Scripture by hand, meeting in caves, hunted like animals. They had almost no encouragement. They had almost no visibility. The world had FORGOTTEN them. And they wondered: "Is anyone else out there? Are we the only ones left?" THE TEMPTATION OF DAY FOUR IS DESPAIR. This is where most leave the ark — not because they stopped believing, but because they could not endure the middle. But the Waldensians stayed. In darkness. In obscurity. In danger. First Harvest Ministries International | 28 THEY STAYED BEHIND THE SEAL — FOR A THOUSAND YEARS. WEEPING MAY ENDURE FOR A NIGHT, BUT JOY COMES IN THE MORNING. DAY FIVE — THE REFORMATION SARDIS Remnant Voice: THE SCATTERED SABBATH- KEEPERS This is the age that CRACKED THE DOOR. There was a recovery of truth — but it was INCOMPLETE. They recovered justification by faith — but kept Sunday. They recovered Scripture alone — but abandoned the feasts. They had a name that they were alive... BUT THEY WERE DEAD. They cracked the door on some things and left it sealed on others — and that partial opening let Babylon back in. AND NOW LET ME TELL YOU WHAT BABYLON ACTUALLY DOES First Harvest Ministries International | 29 Because Day Five is not a battle over behavior. DAY FIVE IS A BATTLE FOR THE FOREHEAD. "...till we have SEALED the servants of our God IN THEIR FOREHEADS." — Revelation 7:3 IN THEIR FOREHEADS. Is that a barcode? A chip? A tattoo? NO. The forehead is THE MIND. The forehead is THE WAY YOU THINK. The forehead is YOUR WORLDVIEW. YAHWEH established this in the Torah: "And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be IN THINE HEART... And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be AS FRONTLETS BETWEEN THINE EYES." — Deuteronomy 6:6-8 The HAND is your ACTIONS — what you DO. The FOREHEAD is your MIND — how you THINK. Two competing operating systems for the human mind. BABYLON'S OPERATING SYSTEM: - Sunday is the Sabbath First Harvest Ministries International | 30 - The law is abolished - Israel is replaced by the church - Easter replaces Passover - Torah is bondage - Grace means you may live however you please - You are your own authority - No one may tell you what to do YAHWEH'S OPERATING SYSTEM: - The seventh day is the Sabbath - The Torah is eternal - Israel is being restored — Judah AND the lost tribes - Passover is the memorial of redemption - The feasts are His appointed times - Obedience is the fruit of salvation - Grace teaches us to DENY ungodliness THE TEMPTATION OF DAY FIVE IS COMPROMISE. "Maybe I can have one foot in and one foot out." The door was shut BY YAHWEH. YOU STAY BEHIND IT. DAY SIX — THE PARTIAL LIGHT First Harvest Ministries International | 31 PHILADELPHIA Remnant Voices: ELLEN WHITE • HERBERT ARMSTRONG The age of the open door. Ellen White brought light on the Sabbath, on health, on prophecy — but with mixture. With error. With organizational baggage. Herbert Armstrong brought light on Israel identity, on the feasts, on the Kingdom — but with mixture. With error. With failed predictions. THEY CARRIED PARTIAL LIGHT. They were voices YAHWEH USED — but they were not the finishing voice. They pointed toward the goal. They did not complete it. AND HERE IS WHY THEY COULD NOT COMPLETE IT Because Day Six exposed something the modern church has utterly lost: THE ARK HAD ONE CAPTAIN. Noah. Not a committee. Not a democracy. Not "everyone doing what was right in his own eyes." ONE MAN heard from YAHWEH. ONE MAN built the ark. ONE MAN led the family in. First Harvest Ministries International | 32 And everyone who was sealed HAD TO SUBMIT TO THAT ORDER. Can you imagine if Shem had said, "I think the door belongs on the OTHER side"? If Ham had said, "I don't agree with the design — I'll build my OWN boat"? If Japheth had said, "I'll come in when I'M ready — don't tell ME what to do"? THEY WOULD HAVE DIED. That is the spirit of KORAH — and YAHWEH opened the ground and swallowed Korah and everyone who stood with him. "Every man did that which was right in his own eyes." — Judges 21:25 "I don't need a pastor." "I don't need a congregation." "Nobody is going to tell ME what to do." THAT IS NOT FREEDOM. THAT IS BABYLON. This is why so many can hold "correct doctrine" and still operate in the spirit of rebellion. They keep the Sabbath — but they submit to no one. They celebrate the feasts — but they are a law unto themselves. First Harvest Ministries International | 33 They use the Sacred Names — but they will not be corrected by anyone. THAT IS NOT THE SEAL. That is religious rebellion dressed up in Hebrew Roots clothing. THE SEAL REQUIRES ALL THREE: Right ✓DOCTRINE — Sabbath, feasts, Torah, Israel identity Right ✓WORSHIP — in spirit and truth, YAHWEH alone Right ✓ORDER — submission to the government YAHWEH established THE TEMPTATION OF DAY SIX IS PRESUMPTION. You cannot celebrate early. The seal must hold until the LAST DAY. DAY SEVEN — THE FINISHING VOICE LAODICEA Remnant Voice: THE HEBREW ROOTS RESTORATION First Harvest Ministries International | 34 AND THIS IS WHERE YOU ARE STANDING RIGHT NOW. This is the age where everything comes together. Every partial truth from every previous age is now being ASSEMBLED. The Sabbath of the Waldensians. The feasts of the Nazarenes. The Israel identity of Armstrong. The Passover of the Quartodecimans. The apostolic foundation of John, Polycarp, and Papias. THE SEVENTH-DAY VOICE DOES NOT REPLACE THE OTHERS — IT COMPLETES THEM. AND HERE IS YOUR ASSURANCE Someone is sitting there tonight asking the only question that matters: "Pastor — how do I KNOW I'm in the ark? How do I know I'm sealed?" ASK YOURSELF HOW YOU THINK. When you read Leviticus 23, do you see "Jewish laws that don't apply to me" — Or do you see MY FATHER'S APPOINTED TIMES? First Harvest Ministries International | 35 When you see the seventh day, do you think "that's for the Jews" — Or do you think THAT'S MY SABBATH — THE SIGN OF MY COVENANT? When you hear "Torah," do you feel bondage — Or do you feel FREEDOM? IF YOUR THINKING HAS CHANGED — YOU HAVE BEEN SEALED. The proof is not in a feeling. The proof is not in a sign in the sky. THE PROOF IS IN YOUR MIND. "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND." — Romans 12:2 And understand what that means. I know your coworkers laugh at your "weird" beliefs. I KNOW. And I know there are days you wonder if you made the right choice. Days when the Sabbath feels lonely. Days when the feasts feel isolated. Anyone can have faith when vindication is visible. Anyone can hold on when the proof is right in front of them. But YAHWEH wanted to know: WILL YOU TRUST THE SEAL BEFORE YOU SEE THE RAIN? That is what these seven days are about. Not punishment. Not delay. TESTING.
