FHM Morning Manna March 8, 2025 - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhSIRNeaC_g Transcript: (00:37) Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. We'll start over again. All right. Shabbat Shalom, EVERYBODY. SHABBAT SHALOM. HALLELUJAH. UM THIS MORNING I was going to talk about the uh David and Jonathan story. And of course, I'm going to lead into the calendar with it. Of course, the calendar is just about everything I talk about. (01:02) So, I'm going to I'm going to bring the calendar into it. And wasn't last night's Bible study awesome? Awesome. And even though for years and years and years I've always believed that Messiah was put up on the stake on the first day of unleavened bread on his calendar. I knew that there was several calendars going on at the time and there was one day's difference between the Zadokite calendar that he was on and the Pharisees and Sadducees calendar. (01:36) There was one day's difference. But when I tried to explain to my friends that he was put up on the stake on the first day of unleavened bread, it was oh no no no no. He had to fulfill the Passover like Pastor said last night. He had to die on Passover, not on unleavened bread. And so, what Pastor brought out last night was so awesome that the minute he drank of that cup he was a dead man walking. (02:07) And yeah, and so that just that nailed it, but I was going to explain why I thought my reasons for thinking that it was the first day of unleavened bread. And one of the things was is the Abraham and Isaac story. And I get it out of my book of Jubilees. And because Isaac is a was a picture of Messiah to come. So, let me find the scripture here in Okay, here we go. (02:45) So, you'll have to it's kind of in pieces, so you got to kind of pick it up a little bit. So, it's in the it's in the book of Jubilees that it tells you Let me see. Here we go. It tells you in the story and I'm just going to take bits and pieces out of this cuz I'm really supposed to talk about David and Jonathan. But anyway, it says um and it happened in the first month of this Jubilee um the 12th of the month. (03:22) So, it's the first month and the 12th day. Uh first month, 12th day. And you go on with the story. And it says And Yahweh spoke to Abraham, Abraham, and he said to him, "Behold, I am here." And he said to him, "Take thy son Isaac whom thou lovest and go to the high to the high land and take him upon one of the hills which I will show you. (03:52) And he rose in the morning. So, if he was um he if he was told to do this on the 12th of the first month, so in the morning, it's the 13th. Right. Okay, so then it says he rose in the morning and from there he saddled his ass and he took two young men with him and Isaac his son and split the wood for a sacrifice and he came to the place on the third day. (04:24) 13th, 14th, 15th. Isaac was going to be sacrificed on the first day of unleavened bread, on the 15th day of the first month. So, anyway, so I was so excited to hear pastor it was it was just awesome. Okay, one of and then for a second witness I had and it says um in the book of Jasher it says that and the manna ceased at the time of the morrow of the Passover and there was no more manna for the children of Israel and they ate of the produce of the land of Canaan. (05:09) So, if you go to uh so this was the manna ceased on the 15th day of the first month, on the first day of unleavened bread. And so, if you go to John 6:51, it says Messiah is saying this, "I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever. (05:38) And the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world." So, then in John 6:58, it says, "This is the bread which came down from heaven. Not as your fathers did eat manna and are dead. He that eateth of this bread shall live forever." So, these verses tell me that Messiah fulfilled the manna that came down from heaven and that he gave us flesh that was the bread of life and he gave up his life and his life ceased on the first day of unleavened bread as did the manna from heaven. (06:28) Okay. All right. Now that the David and Jonathan story, okay, we'll get into it. So, I'm going to start in So, I have to lay a little groundwork for this. So, I'm going to start in Matthew 12:1-4. And it says, "At that time Yeshua went on the Sabbath day through the uh it says corn here in my scripture, but we know it's just grain field. (06:59) And his disciples were hungered and began to pluck the ears of grain and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, 'Behold, disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the Sabbath day.' But he said unto them, 'Have you not read what David did and when he was hungered and they that were with him, how he entered into the house of Elohim and did eat the showbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them that were with him, but it was only for the priests?' Okay, it doesn't say here (07:39) that um that the David and Jonathan story that it was on the Sabbath day, it just said David did what was unlawful for him to do. So, um and Mark 2:23-26 it basically says the same thing. So, what I want to focus on is the account in Luke 6:1 because there is um added information. And I'm going to read it out of my Bullinger's here. (08:14) This is my Bullinger's Companion Bible and it's awesome. He was one of the one of the great scholars and he has thousands and thousands of notes here. And I didn't see this until last night Hallelujah. that I was preparing for this and it just it just solidified everything for me. Hallelujah. Holy Ghost. Amen. (08:40) So, anyway, um Luke 6:1 says, "And it came to pass on the second Sabbath after the first." And there's been all kinds of controversy what this second Sabbath after the first is all about. But I'll finish reading it. It says, "He went through the cornfields and his disciples plucked the ears of grain. (09:04) He did eat rubbing them in their hands." And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, "Why do you do which is not lawful to do on the Sabbath days?" And so in a Bullinger's Companion Bible here he's got a note here and I just I knew the second Sabbath after the first had something to do with the next 50 days that go to the festival of wine. (09:32) I couldn't prove it. I did I just believed it. So, last night when I was preparing for this and I got out my Bullingers and I thought, "Well, let me read what he says about the second Sabbath after the first." And it just gave me goosebumps. It says, "The second Sabbath after the first all this represents only one word in the Greek. (09:57) It's uh deutero deuteroproton." So, second Sabbath after the word is is just this one word. And it And he says I can't read it here. Um Oh, it it only occurs here in the New Testament. The first and second Sabbaths can occur only in the week of the three great feasts. So, in other words, either uh Passover, Pentecost, or Tabernacles, the second first can only pertain to those great feasts. (10:35) The first day of these this feast is a Sabbath or a high day. Um It Let me see. Is the first Oh, it's the first of the great Sabbath. Whatever day of the week it falls on. And the second is the weekly Sabbath and that becomes the second. So, during those three um pilgrimage feasts, Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles, we have to find a a high day that's a Sabbath and then the regular Sabbath that's the weekly Sabbath. (11:13) And so, I'm thinking about this and I'm thinking, "Okay, Messiah's walking through the grain fields and he's rubbing the grain together and he's eating. He's hungry. His disciples are hungry." And I'm thinking "Oh my goodness, that is at Pentecost time. And so I look at my calendars. Okay, I look at my calendars. (11:53) And so in the in the third month we have Pentecost on the 15th day of the month. And so then the following of the Sabbath during that week is the 21st of the third month. So we have the first Sabbath, the high day, the second Sabbath here, and not only is it and I have it marked. Let me show you for the first page. (12:26) Okay, so on the count to the first Pentecost I've got them numbered there. Um here's the wave sheaf offering on the 26th and we have 1 2 3 4 5 six Sabbath six Sabbath completes and then we have uh Shavuot or the Feast of Weeks. And and not only so is it that, but it's also the first count to the um Festival of Oil, the next 50 days. So it's both. (13:03) It's both. Okay, so Okay. Oh, Mike, would you read um Luke 23:22 for me? 23:22 Yes. And he said unto them the third time, "Why, what evil hath he done? I have (14:10) found no cause of death curse him." Is that Leviticus 23:22? What did I I'm sorry, Leviticus 23 And when you reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance I can't say of the corners of thy field when thou reapest neither shall thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest thou shalt leave them unto the poor and to the stranger I am Yahweh your Elohim. (14:58) Okay. Okay, so so when Messiah was walking through the grain fields, whether they had already harvested the grain or not, they was always commanded to leave the corners for people that could eat. So So so that was Messiah when they were walking through the grain fields then some of that grain that was left he rubbed together and they ate. (15:26) Okay, so Oh, and then um two other points that are going to pertain to the David and Jonathan story if we get there is 1 Chronicles 9:32. If you could read that for me, Mike. And other of their brethren of the sons of the Kohathites were over the showbread to prepare it every Sabbath. Okay, and then Leviticus 24:5-8. (16:22) And thou shalt take fine flour and bake 12 cakes thereof. Two tenth deals shall be in one cake. And thou shalt set them in two rows, six on a row upon the pure table before Yahweh. And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row that it may be on the bread for a memorial even an offering made by fire unto Yahweh. (16:58) Every Sabbath he shall set it in order before Yahweh continually being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant. Okay, so this this is the proof that the showbread is the new bread is taken out and then the old bread is given to the priest to eat and this is done every Sabbath. And so this goes along with the David and Jonathan story now which is in 1 Samuel 20. (17:37) And I'll start in verse 5. And it says and David said to Jonathan, "Behold, tomorrow is the new moon which is a bad translation. The word is hodash and just means renewal. And we know that there's several renewals. There is a renewal of the month but there's of a lunar month but there's also a renewal of a solar month. (18:03) There's a renewal of a day, a week, a month. And so there's lots of renewals. But anyway, so tomorrow is the renewal that I should not fail to sit with the king at meat. Let me go that I may hide myself in the field unto the third day at even. Um And if thy father all miss me then say David earnestly asked leave of me that he might run to Bethlehem, his city for there is a yearly sacrifice there for all the family. (18:36) And so then we know the story that they made a plan that because Saul was intent on killing David and Jonathan wanted to make sure and so they came up with a plan and um uh if his intent was to murder him, they had the plan the arrows went this way, it's okay, you can come back, everything is okay but the arrow went this way you're in trouble. (19:07) And so um so they They that plan and then again in verse 18 it says Jonathan said to David tomorrow is the renewal and you shall be missed because the seat will be empty. And then he talks about the lad that they were going to send out to with the arrows. So in verse 24 David hid himself in the field and when the renewal was come the king sat down to eat meat. (19:37) And um moving on David's place was empty. Uh nevertheless Saul spoke not anything that day. For he thought something had befallen him. He is not clean, surely he is not clean. And it came to pass on the morrow which was the second day of the month. So we know here um that it's the second day of the month so the day before was the first day of the month when he hid himself. (20:05) And Saul said unto Jonathan his son, "Wherefore cometh not the son of Jesse to meet neither yesterday nor today?" And Jonathan answered Saul, "David earnestly asked leave of me to go to Bethlehem. And he said, 'Let me go, I pray thee, for our family has a sacrifice in the city and my brother has commanded me to be there. (20:28) Now if I found favor in your eyes uh let me get away, I pray you thee, and see my brethren. Therefore he cometh not unto the king's table." And Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan and he said unto him, "Thou son of the perverse rebellious woman." I love that. Do not I know thou hast chosen thy son of Jesse of thine own confusion and unto the confusion of thy mother's nakedness? For as long as the son of Jesse lives upon the ground thou shalt not be established nor thy kingdom. (21:07) Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, for surely he will die. So, we know the story then uh I'll go down a bit here. It says, "And it came to pass in the morning." So, if in the morning or the day before was the second day, this is the third day of the month. And it came to pass in the morning that Jonathan went out into the field at the time appointed with David and a little lad with him. (21:35) So, again, we know this is the third day of the month. And so, we know the story the arrow meant that Saul was going to kill Jonathan. And so, then they hugged and they wept and they said their goodbyes and and um David left. And then in chapter 21, this kind of seals the story here. It says, "Then can came David to Nob Nob. (22:08) And Nob is not that far away from where they were." And uh came to Nob to Ahimelech the priest. And Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting of David and said unto him, "What are there What art thou alone and no man with you?" And David said unto Ahimelech the priest, "The king has commanded me a business and has said unto me, 'Let no man know anything of the business whereabout I send you and what I have commanded you and I have appointed my servants to such and such a place. (22:41) ' Now therefore, what is under thine hand, give me five loaves of bread in my hand or what it or what you have." And the priest answered David and said, "There is no common bread under my hand, but there is hallowed bread if young men have kept themselves at least from women." And David answered the priest and said, "Unto him of a truth women have been kept from us about these three days. (23:11) Now, he doesn't give a date, he just says about these three days. It could mean anything. It could be the fifth day, the seventh, whatever. It doesn't It doesn't say. It just says about these three days since I came out and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a man and the bread is in a manner common. Yea, though it was sanctified this day in the vessel. (23:34) " So, the priest gave him hallowed bread, so there for there was no bread but the showbread that was taken from before Yahweh to put hot bread in the day it was taken away. Again, it doesn't say, it just says in the day that it was taken away. It doesn't give uh any more information that that than that. (23:57) And so, that's where you got to keep searching to figure out and Okay, I'll go to my That That's right. And so, see if this Oh, yeah. This is my uh Green's Interlinear. There's It's a four-volume um interlinear and um Where are we at here? And uh Yeah, okay. And it says Yes, right here. It says, "And David answered the priest and said to him, Surely a woman has been kept from us as yesterday was the third day since I came out. (24:44) " So, if yesterday was the third day, then this was the fourth day. And so, there again, you go to your calendars and there's uh four months that are always the same that has a Sabbath on the fourth day. The first month, and the fourth month, the seventh month, and the 10th month all have Sabbaths on the first on the fourth day. (25:17) And so, we know that um I lost my train of thought. I'm not good at that. Yes. So, anyway, so um So, I'm thinking here that he's talking about Let me find my notes. I'll be better at this. Maybe. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Okay, so So, we know that basically, we know that this was a Sabbath day. The showbread's taken out. The new showbread's taken out. (26:06) The uh old showbread is given to the priests. It's not lawful for anybody else to eat it. But, the priests made a decision to give it to Jonathan when he asked. And so, we know that that was a Sabbath day, proving again that our Saturday that we're keeping as a Sabbath is a Sabbath. Um like the Pastor said last night, with Messiah and going back to David and Jonathan and a lot of other places that we're still keeping the correct Sabbath that we always have. (26:49) And I still have more time. So, let's Well, what I can do though is I did bring some things and you know I love names and Where did I put over here? And you know that on the calendar that we put together that has the meanings of the 24 priests and the how it tells the story. And um also now I have this and it's the names from Adam to Noah. (27:24) So, there's Adam that means man, Seth means appointed, Enosh means mortal, Kenan means sorrow. Now, Mahalalel means the blessed El, Jared means shall come down, Enoch teaching Methuselah, his death shall bring Lamech, the despairing and Noah we means rest or comfort. So, if you put that in a sentence, it says man is appointed mortal sorrow, but the blessed El shall come down teaching that his death shall bring the despairing rest or comfort. (28:11) So, I've got some copies of this if y'all like one you can have one. I got copies of that. So, um this was kind of short, but that's all I that's all I have. Thank you. Thank you. That was awesome. Thank you. Thank you.

Summary

FHM Morning Manna – March 8, 2025 features Minister Sara Sheppard examining biblical chronology, the Sabbath, and the relationship between the accounts of David and Jonathan and the sacred calendar. She begins by discussing her belief that Yeshua's crucifixion occurred on the first day of Unleavened Bread according to the Zadokite calendar. Using the Book of Jubilees, she reconstructs the timing of Abraham's journey to offer Isaac and connects the proposed date with Yeshua's sacrifice. She then examines Joshua 5:12 and John 6:51, 58, drawing a prophetic parallel between the cessation of manna and Yeshua as the bread of life. The central portion focuses on 1 Samuel 20:5–42, where David and Jonathan arrange a warning system to determine whether Saul intends to kill David. She uses the sequence of days in this narrative, together with 1 Samuel 21:1–6, to reconstruct when David received the showbread from Ahimelech. The speaker connects this event with 1 Chronicles 9:32 and Leviticus 24:5–8, emphasizing the weekly Sabbath replacement of the showbread. She also discusses Luke 6:1, proposing that its reference to the second Sabbath after the first provides evidence for her interpretation of the biblical festival calendar. The message concludes with a discussion of the meanings of the names from Adam to Noah, which she interprets as forming a prophetic statement concerning the coming of Messiah.

Core doctrine

1 Samuel 20:5–42 — Minister Sara Sheppard teaches that the account of David and Jonathan contains chronological details that help establish the correct identification of the biblical Sabbath and support the calendar followed by First Harvest Ministries. By examining the renewal of the month, Saul's feast, Jonathan's warning to David, and David's subsequent reception of the showbread from Ahimelech, she argues that these events can be aligned with a recurring Sabbath pattern. She connects this interpretation with the biblical instructions concerning the weekly replacement of the showbread and with Yeshua's teaching about His disciples gathering grain on the Sabbath. She further interprets Luke 6:1 as evidence of a festival-related Sabbath sequence and connects the timing of Shavuot, the Festival of Wine, and the Festival of Oil with her reconstruction of the Zadokite calendar. The speaker also presents Abraham's offering of Isaac and the cessation of manna as prophetic parallels to Yeshua's sacrifice. These chronological calculations, proposed festival dates, and claims concerning the correct Sabbath calendar are the speaker's theological and historical interpretations rather than conclusions explicitly established by 1 Samuel 20:5–42 alone.
