Pastor Shane Vaughn's Interactive ZOOM Bible Study "Part 2 - What is the TRUE Purpose of your life?" - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nO-__qFLIhw Transcript: (00:00) we're starting part two of man's true purpose in life if you buy a car and you put that car in a garage and you never move that car you've robbed that car of its purpose the purpose of a car is transportation if a car is not transporting you from point A to point B that car is useless when you don't know the purpose of why God created you I asked the question on the last Zoom did God create you to wake up every morning use the restroom twice a day eat three meals get in a few arguments with your husband pet the dog (00:51) feed the dog feed the children go to bed wake up and do it again tomorrow until you die is the purpose of our life existence why did God create us we started last week in the Book of Genesis and we show that the reason God created man was to be like God and to take dominion over the Earth I'm not going to recapitulate all of that but I want to try to give you some uh retrospect of where we're coming from we showed that the purpose of our life is not to have our best life now the purpose of our life is training (01:39) for reigning and schooling for ruling the 75 years that Yahweh has promised you in this life has a purpose only a few will find that purpose the rest will become addicts they will lose their identity they will become hopeless in this life and they will fall down to their animal level we taught you last week that God created you to have dominion over the animals to have dominion over the Earth but more importantly to have dominion over yourself the purpose of this lifetime is to bring you out of your Rebellion (02:27) towards God Yahweh and to bring you into submission now that's where we left off in the last zoom and we're gonna pick up in that lesson right now so I'm GNA teach a little bit different today today I'm gonna ask a question I'm going to give a scripture I'm gonna call on one of you to read that scripture and then you're going to answer my question from reading that scripture fair enough okay so let me call out somebody on the line let's go to Ned and Sue Fowler Ned and Sue turn that camera on and go to okay all right go to (03:17) Ephesians chapter 4 verse 23 through verse 24 and that's where we're going to start our Leon today 2 and I want you to read those two verses to the class and then I want then hold on then I want you to answer this question from those scriptures I don't want I don't want you to answer that scripture that question from NED and Susan's mind what religion are y'all Ned and Susan what's your background uh non- denominational love Jesus but holy spirit yes okay I don't want you to answer this question from a non-denominational background or even a (04:07) love Jesus background that that's a good background but I want the question to come directly the answer from the word of God okay yes sir according to Ephesians 423- 24 you're gonna answer the following question what is the spiritual purpose of every Christian and I want you to read these two verses and then answer that question what is the spiritual purpose of our Salvation why are we saved read the verses and then answer that question instead let the spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes put on your new nature created to be like God truly (05:01) righteous and holy okay now answer the question just from that verse what is our job once we have come to know Christ what is our purpose and what is our job supposed to be from those two verses or our goal how about that our purpose are you there I think I might have lost them okay truly make us righteous and holy okay I lost y'all start back over with your answer one more time okay uh to put on our new nature which is who we are in Christ to live an ascended life in him above with him and uh that is where we uh are truly (06:06) righteous and holy is in him okay and does the verse say go ahead brother does the verse say something about putting on a new man you put on your new nature it is that we are to be to walk we are to walk as a new creation amen now let me ask all of you a question most of the churches and when I listen it is my job in my Ministry to force you to think beyond the the the the pasat level I'm not going to explain what that means today now most Christians believe that their goal is to get saved come to know Christ accept him as (06:55) their lord and savior and they've reached their goal but according to those two verses after you have accepted Christ as your lord and savior now you've just started Living before you came to Christ according to these verses you were a dead man living you were not walking in the purpose of your life the purpose of your life uh I'm going to make it real simple is to be changed Hallelujah amen everything about you must be changed because Paul says that before you started going through this change you were the enemies of (07:46) God now we have a hard time thinking of ourself as the enemies of God but in fact when you were in Rebellion now the beautiful thing about it is he loves his enemies amen but you were rebellious to God and therefore your whole life before you came into a submitted relationship with God was a wasted life how many's ever heard the old gospel song Jimmy Swagger sings and I love this old song it's called Wasted Years so many Wasted Years the years that you spent not changing into what Ephesians said that new man that looks like Jesus (08:39) yua those were what Wasted Years but when you come to Christ you start on a journey towards true righteousness and Holiness now let's go over to Romans chapter 8 verse 29 and I'm going to call on you Carolyn to I see you there yes ma'am I saw the surprise on your face we're going to go to Romans 829 and from Romans 829 I want to ask you a question and I want you to answer it what is our ultimate Destiny after we've come to God the answer is in Romans 8:29 Carolyn would you read that for us unmute yourself Carolyn do we have more than one Carolyn (09:41) let's see the one with the black hair there you go hey yeah what was the question what is our ultimate Destiny what what is our ultimate Destiny and our spiritual walk with god what is the ultimate goal is it salvation or is it something else read Romans 8:29 and answer that question from from that I got to get it okay uh it's right after the book of Acts now if you don't want to read if anybody's uncomfortable reading you can let me know that okay no I just gotta find it hold on [Music] okay now why am I doing this everybody (10:24) because I don't want your answers to come from your own thinking I I want it to come straight from the word of God and when we read Romans 8829 the answer is going to be clear read it okay for whom he forew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his son that he might be firstborn among many Brethren Now read it again and then keep the question in your mind what is the goal what is your goal Carolyn once you come to know Christ what is your goal that God wants you to reach for whom he fornew he also (11:11) predestined to be conformed to the image of his son that he might be firstborn among many Brethren is to be uh transformed into His Image to become like him that that's that's the answer we're looking for now let me ask you Carolyn according to the modern church and what I call the GMO gospel one that's mixed with a little error and a little truth according to the church our goal is to just accept Christ as our savior and and we sell them congratulations you've accepted Christ as your savior and we act like that is (11:54) the goal but according to this verse is the goal accepting his son or being transformed to look just like his son yeah we have to accept him and then be transformed like him we have to become who he is you know like him his image just like him now you can mute yourself thank you Carolyn Now ladies and gentlemen what we've just T taught you is what I call the rest of the Gospel I'm going to rename myself Paul Harvey and I'm going to start teaching the rest of the gospel because the church gives you what I call the starting point but ladies and (12:39) gentlemen if you are not being changed into a Dominion mentality then you have you don't even understand the purpose of your salvation I'm going to say something now that's going to shock some folks if the purpose of your salvation is being saved and going to heaven then why don't we just put at the altar when you come to get saved a jug of Kool-Aid Jim Jones Kool-Aid and just let you drink a picture of it and go on to Heaven if that's why you got saved you got your glasses I actually do [Laughter] it's a private joke (13:36) everybody so if that is the purpose of Salvation then why don't we just all just go on to Heaven because that's not the purpose of your salvation your salvation is not to get you to heaven your salvation is to get you changed transformed into the image of the Son of God Jesus Jesus Christ is not your copout he is your example he is not your excuse he is your example he said take up my cross and imitate me that word follow me means imitate me do what I do say what I say live the life that I lived now when you understand that that is (14:28) your purpose in life to become just like Jesus all of a sudden your daily life changes all of a sudden your enemies are no longer your enemies they're your testing ground they're your opportunity to be transformed into the image of the Son of God all of a sudden those that are persecuting you are a blessing in your life why you're being changed Hallelujah you're being transformed to look just like the man that you say you love Jesus Christ said If any man says that he loves me but does not do what I say to do then that man is a liar he does not (15:18) love me Smith Wigglesworth said that there would come a generation that would worship a God that they would never obey I want you to hear those words they will worship a God that they refuse to obey everybody loves Jesus the whole world even Nancy Pelosi loves Jesus should I keep should I go on even Uncle Joe loves Jesus ain't uh ain't Camala loves Jesus everybody loves Jesus but here's what Jesus said If any man says they love me but they don't obey me they are a liar your Bible says that not me your Bible so if the purpose of our (16:15) life is to become like Christ the next thing we hear is that I'm only human I can't become like Christ I'm just a human I make mistakes every day how can I be like Christ he was God you see ladies and gentlemen that's where we make our mistake when we fail to understand the Bible says that he was a man anointed of God the same holy spirit that was in Christ that gave him power over sin did you know that's the exact same holy spirit that you have access to to give you the same power over sin do you know the funniest thing that you will hear in (17:15) your church tomorrow it goes sort of like this with God nothing is impossible you'll hear that tomorrow at your church with God nothing is impossible and then in the next breath they will say now keeping God's law and his word is impossible to do they just told you with God's help nothing is impossible and yet they tell you well God knew you couldn't keep his commandments so that's impossible to do the Bible says that when Jesus moves in that he gives you power over the enemy and guess who your greatest enemy is it's not Satan your (18:08) greatest enemy is you and when the Holy Ghost comes in he starts defeating you I want you to hear me now I'm getting ready to preach I feel it swelling up in me the Holy Ghost is not interested in destroying Satan he's interested in destroying you why because you're the one that's in Rebellion to God you're the one that says I want it my way right away you're the one that looks for a Burger King God you're the one that wants to come through the driveway the drive-thru and say okay God I'll take it with extra pickles no onions two slices (18:47) of tomato we're gonna do it my way right away and God says to you sorry darling I'm don't work here it doesn't work that way you will come my way or you will not come the holy spirit moves into you and gives you the power to become the sons of God you are the children of God right now but your goal is not to be the child of God it's to become a Son of God what is the difference in a child and a son a child is still rebelling a son has begun to conform to the household rules he has begun to conform to the image of the (19:37) family so today this is why God saved you so he could begin to recreate you into his likeness and Into His Image I'm G to pause there before we go to the next scripture is there any hands raised any questions about or comments about anything that I've shared so far I don't want anybody confused today all right go ahead did somebody oh I'm sorry I thought I heard somebody come in all right now let's answer a few more questions today what is the reward of the believer what is the purpose of us overcoming in this life what is the (20:34) purpose of you and I getting it right because God has a marvelous plan for you and that plan does not include flying away to a place called Heaven floating on clouds swimming in the River of Life catching golden fish in the River of Life and eating spiritual bond bonds and never getting fat that is not God's purpose for you that's a retirement home and there's nothing more boring than a retirement home why because no one in a retirement home has a purpose anymore they really don't they raised their families they (21:27) had their career the purpose of their life they found their success now they're at a place where they've lost purpose and that's why they get so discouraged ladies and gentlemen God doesn't plan for you to retire for all eternity God doesn't plan to bring you to a Disney World in the sky he has a better plan than that he plans to use every one of you to establish his kingdom on Earth Earth God's word says and I'm going to ask a question let me ask this question of let me ask this question of uh who's out there let me look (22:12) Courtney I want to ask you a question Courtney now I don't have the scripture right in front of me but uh hopefully you know it by heart and if you don't we'll look it up for you unmute yourself Courtney are you there yep I'm here okay according to the teachings of Jesus Christ the meek shall inherit what the Earth okay I want you to think about that for a moment we've always been taught that the meek would inherit Heaven say it again oh heaven heaven Jesus never mentioned any place anything about that Jesus said (23:02) the meek will inherit finish it again the Earth all right thank you ma'am now if that's what Jesus said then why are you looking for another inheritance you see the First Command that God gave in the Book of Genesis to man was to what have dominion over the Earth Earth you are not an angel your place is not in heaven you were created to be the rulers of this beautiful place called Earth we gave up that didn't we we gave it to Satan we did not take that dominion and therefore we are still under the control of the Gods of this (23:50) age now someone read for me let me call on uh Joy menic do you want to read for me today no okay uh any let's go to the next one let's see uh who else uh somebody read for me uh Karina y'all read for me today if you don't mind and let's go to Revelations chapter 5 verse 9 through verse 10 okay and after you read that verse I want you to answer answer the following question where will Karina and Audie Rule and govern take that word rule out replace it with govern where will Ai and Karina govern your answers in Revelations 59-10 let's (24:50) read it can you hear me it's okay yes and they sang a new song saying you are worthy to take the scroll and open it to seal open its seals because you were slain and your blood and with your blood you you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and Nation you made them to be a kingdom and Priests to serve our God and they will reign on the earth oh wow so this is talking about Jesus Christ and his Saints where will Jesus Christ and his Saints be for all eternity according not to your church not to your way of thinking (25:41) but according strictly to Revelations 59-10 where will you Audi and Karina be governing with Christ and they will reign on the earth it's that simple ladies and gentlemen I'm gonna say something to you and I don't know how some of you are going to take this but you will hear some of the biggest lies not on Oprah Winfrey not at a democratic convention or a republican convention you'll hear it from your pull pit tomorrow now and many of them is not even willful lies the Prophet Jeremiah said that our fathers have inherited Lies We don't (26:28) mean the LIE we've not been taught correctly and that's why God has brought so many people to this ministry so that we can teach them correctly so now we have two scriptures that says nothing about a place called heaven but it says everything about a place called Earth now we need more than two scriptures we need two or three Witnesses don't we so let's go and let's read um Revelations 19 I tell you what I'm sorry let's read uh Revelations 20 and 1 through6 Revelations 20 1-6 who wants to read that for me raise your hand let's (27:22) see if I can get a reader uh anybody out there want to volunteer oh y'all also shy Hallelujah Sandy I have volunteered you Sandy oh I lost Sandy I must have scared him I'm sorry okay oh there you go Okay sandy go ahead uh I think they're breaking up maybe all right let's move uh let's get some someone else to read Sandy are you there okay we can't hear you darling I'm sorry all right s sister M Revelations 20 verses 1 through six six everybody open your Bible everybody open your Bible and read this with your own four eyes I mean two (28:24) eyes then I saw an angel coming down from heaven having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand he laid hold of the dragon that Serpent of old who is the devil and Satan and bound him for a thousand years and he cast him into the bottomless pit and shut him up and set a seal on him so that he should deceive the Nations no more till the thousand years were finished but after these things he must be released for a little while and I saw Thrones and they set on them and judgment was committed to them then I (29:04) saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God who had not worshiped the Beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands or is for a thousand years but the rest of the Dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished this is the first resurrection blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection over such the second death has no power but they shall be Priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with him a (29:46) thousand years now according to the verse we just read stay on the camera with me according to the verse we just read in Revelations 59 and 10 we're going to be ruling and reigning on the Earth according to the verse you just read that will be for at least a thousand years is that what you're reading yes now ladies and gentlemen pause right there I want to ask all of you that's watching me a profound question when you get up in the resurrection is anybody here planning on being in the res the resurrection can I (30:25) see your hand okay everybody's planning on being in the resurrection may I ask you immediately after the resurrection what have you always believed would happen next sister Maddie would you answer that question for me what if you always believed would happen immediately after your physical Resurrection Maddie would you comment and answer that question for me we we lost you p yeah you froze for a bit can you repeat it I'm sorry okay Maddie uh I'd like for you to answer this question all of your life as a Christian what if you always (31:10) believed would happen next right after your physical Resurrection unmute yourself Maddie okay so is the answer I can't see the Bible words because I'm going I need cataracts so do I answer from my understanding or from the verses at at this point I'm asking you to tell the class as a Christian what you've always understood would happen after the resurrection what would be next I would be up in heaven with God whatever ever whatever that's that's the answer I'm looking for I would say 90% of the people in this class today believe the (32:08) same thing ladies and gentlemen according to your Bible that you just read I didn't write it I'm reading it according to what the uh Audi and and Karina just read after the first resurrection You're Going To Rule and reign with Christ for 1,000 years right here on Earth you're not going nowhere now you're hearing the truth today and it's more sometimes we like the lie more than the truth but I don't believe you would be here today if you love the lie you are getting up so the purpose of your life is what we're (32:47) talking about what do you think you're getting up to do for that thousand years with Christ you're going to help Christ govern the nations of this world you are going to become a ruler over the nations of this world as we take it back from Satan for 1,000 years he will be bound and you and I will be my God I'm about to preach in here let me stop ah Hallelujah you and I will be resurrected into the purpose for which we were born to take dominion over this Earth Hallelujah to God we're going to empty out every hospital we're going to (33:37) open up every prison door we're going to open up the insane asylums we're going to release those that have been bound by addiction every will walk every dub will talk you and I are called in this life to get saved and start training for that reigning and schooling for that ruling Hallelujah to God I'm sorry I'm sorry y'all my old Pentecost is coming out in me Hallelujah to God W praise the Lord hallelujah now let's see what your purpose and life is who's next let's read Revelation 226 let me call on uh uh Lyn Lyn Lyn are (34:24) you out there Lyn I see you Lyn come on you can't hide from the camera Lan read that scripture let's go to Revelations 2:26 L unmute yourself and read for me darling okay you don't have a Bible that's fine uh I tell you what let's Candice Willis I see you Candace Willis bring out that Lafayette accent and read Revelations 2:26 2:26 okay let me find 26 okay to all who are victorious who obey me to the very end I will give authority over all the nations did he say I'll take you all to Heaven nope the Nations is anybody waking up out there (35:23) today is anybody seeing truth right now I'm talking about the purpose of your life this is why you have to live holy this is why you have to have your mind changed this is why you got to get out of your Rebellion because Jesus Christ will never allow you in his government if you're rebellious to his word and to his law uh uh Miss Willis go back to that verse and tell me one of the qualifications to be granted this authority over the Nations what does it say you've got to do to be given that special privilege okay let me find it again (36:05) Revelation 2 26 okay and what was the question again the question is according to Revelations 2:26 what is the prerequisite what is the requirement to be granted this special honor to rule the nations with Christ who obey me to the very end wow ladies and gentlemen that's the rest of the Gospel see all we talk about is getting saved but according to this verse that's your starting point not your finish point now you move into a life of what dare I say obedience the church has renamed obedience legalism they hate the (36:58) word obedience they don't believe in obedience they just believe in a mental confession of faith and and that's all there is to it but according to this word you must obey him until you get tired of obeying him or until it's too hard no no no no no till the end and that's the truth that's the rest of the Gospel all right uh uh uh Bobby an can you read for me let's go read 1 Corinthians 6 and2 Bobby Anne if you're able to read unmute yourself darling okay First Corinthians First Corinthians and while you're turning there here's your (37:50) question what did the Apostle Paul say about the future activity of those of us that will receive eternal life and I want you to answer it specifically from that scripture what will be the activities that we will be doing after the resurrection all right 1 Corinthians 6 and2 do not let do not know do you not know that the Saints will judge the world and and if you were and if you were to judge the world you are you not competent to judge trivial cases okay from that scripture alone not from your religious background (38:44) from that scripture alone after the resurrection will you be living in a mansion in glory will you be eating cotton candy called clouds will you be Bond bonning it will you be fishing in the River of Life or will you be doing something on Earth I'll be sitting in glory on my Daddy's lap okay now according to this scripture what does it say you'll be doing according to verse two what will you and I be doing in the resurrection okay it says that (39:46) Saints 1 Corinthians 6 and two 6 and two the Saints will Saints will judge the world that's it that's all I want thank you yeah according to the Bible not our emotions not our own way of thinking but according to the Bible you've got a job that you should be training for right now you're going to be ruling the world the word judge there what is a king do why did they call it in the old days that the king called you to court because the King was the judge you remember King Solon he had to judge between the B the two mamas the kings of (40:27) the Earth Earth judge the Earth they govern the Earth you can unmute yourself Bobby Anne thank you so according to this scripture you and I are going to be doing after the resurrection what the church tells you not to do today uh oh okay may I introduce you to the biggest lie that we've ever been taught in the church how many ever heard Thou shalt not judge okay the Bible never said that it says the polar opposite of that ladies and gentlemen one day you've got to leave Babylon one day you've got to leave the money grabbing churches that's (41:18) just there to keep you coming and they'll tell you whatever you want to hear one day you got to run out of Babylon and you've got to find the truth truth and embrace it and live that truth because listen I've been rejected by everybody because I refuse to give up on truth but according to these scriptures I've got a job to start preparing for one of those jobs is to judge the world do you remember where Paul said that the Saints will judge even the angels and yet he's saying how many remember when Paul said don't take your (41:57) brother or sister sister to court you judge the matter so if we are supposed to judge the world and yet we're not practicing that judgment right now because the church tells us don't judge the sins of the world do you see the the dichotomus message the truth is Jesus Christ told you to judge he said judge a tree by the fruit it be how can I go out and look at a tree and say that's an apple tree if I've not judged the tree I made a judgment that that's an apple tree Jesus said for you to judge false prophets how do I know a (42:44) false prophet if I don't judge them to be a false prophet so what did Jesus say when he said judge not he said don't judge by your own carnal way of judging he said if you're going to judge your brother or sister you have to do it by the word of God and you must be willing to be judged by that same judgment this is why we're allowing sin in the church on every hand this is why yellowback preachers are scared to preach against uh the Abominations of transgenderism lesbian ISM homosexuality adultery fornication uh bestiality all (43:33) these things that are happening because we're telling everybody don't judge them people you but God said to turn away from them people do you know your Bible says that but you see we're living in a day where nobody wants Bible preaching the Bible said in the last day they would have what itching ears and they would Heap unto themselves teachers that will scratch their itch so today in closing the purpose of your life is number one to accept yua Jesus as your lord and savior but then after you accept him as Lord you need to accept him as (44:18) king and you need to let him govern your life with his law and his Commandments and then you need to be changed into what he looks like so that you might be qualified to rule and to reign with him over the nations of the world I'll say this in closing if you cannot rule over you dang it if you cannot rule over you how will you rule over the Nations if you cannot rule over you what about the words that come out of your mouth against your enemy see he wants you to rule you so that you can rule the Nations amen all right we'll start with (45:07) questions now and comments on this part two of what is the true purpose of your life God bless you if you have a question raise your hand if you have a concern or a comment raise your hand now is your time to talk to me okay all right Pat do you have questions from the chat or how are we going to do this I don't hi Pastor hi pastor this is kin Ai and hello there good to see you again and uh with with the question you just with the statement you just made about the purpose for life why why have we struggled as a as a civilization for so (45:45) many years since uh Jesus with the with people say what is the meaning of life and it they make it like it's a great mystery but you seem to make it so simple and so clear as to the meaning the purpose of life amen thank you Ai and the I'll tell everybody that's why we're opening the home of Hope for addicted men I don't believe there is any addiction program unless they're teaching the purpose of a man's life then there is no reason for a man to get off of drugs there's no reason for him to get off of alcohol if he (46:22) don't understand why he was born so the what we're doing doing at the home of Hope is we're going to teach this literature they're going to be in a class every day for an hour learning why they've got to get themselves under control because they have a destiny in God that they've got to get right before they die and before they leave this life amen and thank you to every one of you that have donated to the home of hope we appreciate it very much all right Sandy go ahead unmute yourself Sandy okay so what we do (47:05) here uh like Jeremiah 29:11 we walk out with the Lord our purpose and our gifting here so when we go in a thousand years our ministry will be the same Sandy that is a beautiful question and let me let me give you an illustration because you're right on target whenever yua told you to love your enemies all right think about this do you know that when you are ruling and reigning with Christ that some of your enemies are going to be in that [Laughter] Kingdom now think about it if you can't love them now you will abuse them then (47:52) because you'll have all the power see you see we are training everybody get that in your mind training for reigning and schooling for ruling that is the theme of first Harvest Ministries so you're exactly right Sandy you are now so let's just say let's say that when the kingdom of God comes to planet Earth that you have said in your mind all these years well I don't have to obey God's law I just love Jesus and then when you get into his Kingdom you find out his kingdom is established on law just like every kingdom is and you (48:33) refuse to obey his law in this life how can he trust you in the next life to teach that law to the nations of the world to love the Lord thy God with all your heart he's watching you right now that you might be counted worthy to rule and reign with him then thank you Sandy great question all right sister Diane unmute yourself sister Diane how you doing today wonderful sweet friend love you I got a one question mate this is my first time on a recorded Zoom I have never been on a recorded Zoom once it was gone it was gone well welcome so (49:20) since you recording these how can I find the first one since I wasn't involved in I didn't get to I usually get on Zoom on Saturday with another group and both zooms were at the same time and so the first one the first one was not recorded there was a technical error so you will not be able to see that one I'm sorry okay but this one this one will be available do you have uh maybe uh information from the first one I do I have the I have the slides and I'll I'll get those to you okay thank you you're welcome I um this is you know (50:08) we've been doing this at first harvest when I get there and so this is great and I thank you for doing it God bless you Diane y'all Diane is going to be living at our home of Hope as one of our house mothers and uh we're so thrilled for that amen uh sister Carolyn go right ahead unmute yourself hey hello yeah thanks Pastor hey you're welcome I wanted uh I wanted if you could explain um it's in First Peter 3 and13 okay um where they talk about a new Heaven and a new Earth yes I'll be and it says the day of the (50:49) Lord um and it says the the heavens will be you know flame first Peter is that what you said second second Peter 3 and 13 okay that is a wonderful question and I'm ready to answer that question all right now verse we'll just read verse 13 uh well we could start it h Lord I could start off at verse 10 okay let's start at verse 10 great question everybody needs to follow along but the day of the Lord let's stop right there 90% of the church has no idea what the day of the Lord is because they've taught that the Sabbath (51:29) day was done away with there's only one day of the Lord out of seven days he is Lord of that one day the lord of the Sabbath day six days were given to Satan to be the god of those six days the day of the Lord is the Millennium Reign why because the millennial rain is the 7,000th year or the seventh day so before we can understand this context we need to know that this day of the Lord is talking about the beginning of the millennial Reign now let's keep reading the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night in the which the heavens (52:14) will pass away with a great noise and the elements shall melt with a fervent heat the Earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved what manner of person ought you to be in all holy conversation and godliness looking for until the coming of the day of God that is the Sabbath day the 7,000th year wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved and the element shall melt with a fervent heat nevertheless we according to the promise look for new heavens and new earth (53:01) wherein dwelleth righteousness all right now let me explain that in about three minutes for you the word new in that particular verse from the Greek does not mean new as we perceived new it it it's just like the New Testament or the new Covenant there is no such thing as a New Covenant the word new when you read about a new covenant is the same as the word in this verse which means renewed now God said seven times in the Bible that the Earth will never be destroyed the Bible says that the Earth is forever and I posted SE all of those (53:52) seven scriptures on my Facebook timeline a few months ago and I'll find them now if you'd like for me to but the Earth will never be destroyed well you cannot have seven scriptures that says the Earth will last forever and then you have Peter saying that the Earth will be burned up and destroyed so what does this mean it's very simple the day of the Lord will begin with nuclear war if you go to Matthew 24 which I really don't have time to get into all of that today but I'll try to summarize it yua tells you that he will return at a (54:31) time where the Nations will be angry with one another which is a World War he also tells us that when he returns that if he did not return at a precise moment that no flesh would be left alive on planet Earth we know that there's never been a time in our history where that prophecy could have been fulfilled no flesh Left Alive on our planet except in the age of nuclear war the the coming of Christ will be precipitated by the third world war with China and the United States of America and Russia now this is about to (55:20) transpire it's already this battle's heating up over Taiwan and right now with China andica America we're getting to the precipice now of the third world war that war will be nothing like mankind has ever seen before this will start off the Bible said that there will the heavens will disappear well surely he's not talking about God's heaven he's talking about the sky when you look up you see the heaven as soon as nuclear war com commences have you ever seen a nuclear bomb the first thing that goes away is the (56:03) sun because this mushroom cloud causes the Heavens to disappear and the it's a f it's a noise like you've never heard and all of this Peter is describing a fervent heat you ever heard of Nagasaki Japan it was a fervent Heat that melted even the shadows of people that is coming ladies and gentlemen at the beginning of the day of the Lord so when Peter says that the heavens will literally burn up the Earth will burn up he's speaking of this nuclear war that is coming the Bible says that you and I will literally walk on the ashes of the (56:50) wicked in that day this war is coming it's Upon Us Donald Trump was there well I won't get into politics sorry this war is coming we're at the precipice of it of what Peter was describing then he says after that war there will be a renewing of the heaven and a renewing of the earth not new but a renewing and that ladies and gentlemen will be when Messiah returns with all of us you and I to recreate this planet Earth like the guard of Eden when all things will be renewed and everything will be made new again thank you you're more than (57:38) welcome next who do we have next Julie go right ahead okay hi professor hello Julie hey so um I think I hope I heard you right but anyway will we Reign Over the Nations will evil when we Reign Over the Nations will evil people still be on the earth no ma'am the Bible says that at that moment remember every knee shall what bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of lords in one day the holy spirit will be poured out oh Hallelujah on the entire planet the Bible says that in that day that the glory of of God will cover the Earth as (58:28) the water covers the sea the Bible said in that day every man will know the Lord the B so there's going to be a worldwide Revival and yua is going to be the Evangelist for that Revival and he's going to pour out his Spirit on All Flesh Hallelujah so we will be governing over an earth that has been filled with the spirit but they still must be trained in the laws of God the ways of God and that will be our job those that have learned to obey that law in this lifetime cool amen thank you God bless you Brenda morsy Brenda unmute yourself (59:19) darling there we go there you go hi everybody hi pastor great uh for what you do for all of us I learned so much from you um I have a question this always you're breaking up on us give us try again you're breaking up on a starling while she's getting it uh maybe can you you got to love technology you don't you I tell you what while she's pulling it together uh see if you can try okay Brenda there you go start over Okay um I know we're going to rain for a thousand years on Earth with the Lord he's going to come back and then like resurrect us (1:00:16) to reign with him for a thousand years correct okay yes ma'am so before we do that does is that when we go to the Judgment seat because would he let us rain yes so that would be the first step correct that's a great question so there's two resurrections all of the church will not come up in the first resurrection only the Overcomers will come up in the first resurrection those are people that are being judged right now by the word of God we're submitting oursel to the word we're being judged by the word and the (1:00:51) church and the government of the church and one another those people people will rise up that is not the great white judgment the great white judgment Throne of God does not occur till the second resurrection and in that Resurrection the just and the unjust will come up together that's a portion of the church that did not you y'all remember when Paul talked about the first resurrection and he says that I count not myself as has to have obtained that first resurrection but I will strive for it that first resurrection is the high (1:01:33) calling of God and ladies and gentlemen all these sermons are on my YouTube channel where I where I go in depth with these things to help you understand so hopefully uh did that answer your question or do you still need me to that was perfect thank you so much really good good good good before I go any further let me just say this because some folks may have to go from the bottom of my heart I'm going to stay here and answer every question today from the bottom of my heart I want to thank you all so many of you that (1:02:09) support us with your tithes your offerings your words of encouragement your love thank you many of you have asked me how you can help our ministry you may not have money join the Patriots Buying Club do it today because they give our church a portion of everything you buy every month okay God bless you all right Lyn ly Lyn Lyn unmute yourself okay I did um I don't know if I miss it in the Book of Revelations when you said we'll reign with with uh Jesus for a thousand years what happens after that oh great question go to revelation (1:02:56) go to Revelations 212 through3 I I I'm sorry I don't have my Bible anymore okay I'll read it to you you'll trust me to read it okay all right so after the Thousand Years what happens then surely we all then go to heaven right wrong Revelations 212 through3 then I John saw the holy city New Jerusalem this is is after the millennial Reign everybody coming down out of Heaven from God prepared as a a bride adorned for her husband and I heard the voice of Heaven saying behold the Tabernacle of God which Yahweh is with (1:03:47) men and he will come down and dwell with them and they shall be his people and God himself will be with them John says after the millennial after we have restored the Earth with yosua after we have bound Satan and after the whole world has come to know him then yua will turn around and present this Earth back to his Heaven oh Hallelujah we will present the Earth as a

Summary

1. Introduction: Why were human beings created? (00:00–03:17) Vaughn begins the second part of his study with an illustration involving an automobile. He explains that a car kept permanently in a garage fails to fulfill the purpose for which it was manufactured. He applies this illustration to human existence, asking whether humanity was created merely to repeat daily routines until death. He recalls the previous lesson's conclusion that humanity was created to reflect God and exercise dominion over the Earth. He expands the concept of dominion by teaching that individuals must first learn to govern themselves. He introduces the central theme that earthly life is a period of training for future responsibilities in God's kingdom. 2. Ephesians 4:23–24: The purpose of salvation (03:17–08:39) Vaughn asks two participants to read Ephesians 4:23–24 and answer a question directly from the passage. He asks what spiritual purpose follows a person's acceptance of Jesus Christ. The participants identify the need to put on the new nature and live in righteousness and holiness. Vaughn emphasizes that salvation does not mark the completion of the Christian life. Instead, he teaches that salvation begins the transformation of the believer's character. He describes years spent resisting this transformation as wasted years. His central point is that believers must be changed into the kind of people Yahweh originally intended them to become. 3. Romans 8:29: Conformity to the image of Christ (08:39–13:36) Vaughn asks another participant to read Romans 8:29. He directs attention to the statement that believers are predestined to be conformed to the image of God's Son. He contrasts this objective with what he calls the incomplete gospel commonly preached in churches. He argues that accepting Christ is the beginning of the journey, not its ultimate destination. He describes the fuller message as the rest of the gospel. Vaughn then rejects the idea that salvation exists primarily to transport believers to heaven. He argues that believers remain alive after conversion because Yahweh intends to transform them and prepare them for future work. 4. Jesus as the example for Christian living (13:36–19:37) Vaughn teaches that Jesus must be imitated. He argues that difficult people, enemies, and persecutors provide opportunities to develop Christlike character. He criticizes religious professions of love that are not accompanied by obedience. He also rejects the claim that keeping Yahweh's commandments is inherently impossible for believers empowered by the Holy Spirit. Vaughn describes the rebellious self as the believer's greatest enemy. He teaches that the Holy Spirit works to overcome that rebellion. He distinguishes between spiritual childhood and mature sonship, identifying obedience and submission as characteristics of maturity. 5. The inheritance of the meek (19:37–23:50) Vaughn turns to the question of the believer's future reward. He rejects the popular image of eternal life as endless relaxation in heaven. He asks a participant to identify what the meek will inherit. The participant answers that they will inherit the Earth. Vaughn connects this promise to humanity's original assignment to exercise dominion over the planet. He teaches that the redeemed will ultimately fulfill the purpose that humanity failed to accomplish through its original rebellion. 6. Revelation 5:9–10: The saints will reign on Earth (23:50–26:28) A participant reads Revelation 5:9–10. Vaughn emphasizes that the redeemed are made a kingdom and priests and will reign on the Earth. He uses this passage to challenge teachings that describe heaven as the believer's final destination. He argues that the biblical promise concerns participation in the government of the restored Earth. He also criticizes inherited religious traditions that he believes have obscured this teaching. 7. Revelation 20:1–6: The thousand-year reign (26:28–33:37) Vaughn asks the group to read Revelation 20:1–6. The passage describes Satan's binding, the first resurrection, and the thousand-year reign of those who share in it. Vaughn emphasizes that the redeemed will participate in governing the Earth with Christ during this period. He describes the millennium as the fulfillment of humanity's original purpose. He envisions the resurrected saints participating in the restoration of society, including the removal of suffering, imprisonment, addiction, and other consequences of humanity's present condition. He again describes the present lifetime as training for that future work. 8. Revelation 2:26: Obedience as a qualification for authority (33:37–37:50) A participant reads Revelation 2:26. Vaughn emphasizes the promise of authority over the nations to those who overcome and remain faithful. He identifies continued obedience as a qualification for future governmental responsibility. He criticizes religious teachings that reduce the Christian life to an initial profession of faith. He insists that the believer must remain obedient throughout life. 9. 1 Corinthians 6:2: The saints will judge the world (37:50–44:18) Vaughn asks a participant to read 1 Corinthians 6:2. He emphasizes Paul's statement that the saints will judge the world. He interprets judgment as a function of government and leadership. He argues that believers must begin learning to exercise righteous judgment during the present lifetime. He discusses the importance of evaluating conduct and teachings according to scripture. He distinguishes biblical judgment from hypocritical or self-serving judgment. He criticizes religious leaders who, in his view, avoid moral accountability. He concludes this portion by repeating that individuals must learn to govern themselves before they can govern nations. 10. Questions about purpose and the Home of Hope (44:18–47:05) The presentation moves into a participant question-and-answer session. One participant asks why humanity continues to struggle with the meaning of life if scripture provides such a clear purpose. Vaughn connects the question to First Harvest Ministries' proposed Home of Hope program for men struggling with addiction. He explains that the program will teach participants why they were created and why personal discipline matters. He argues that understanding divine purpose provides a stronger foundation for recovery than merely abandoning destructive habits. He describes daily instruction as part of the program's intended approach. 11. Loving enemies as preparation for future government (47:05–49:20) A participant refers to Jeremiah 29:11 and asks whether present gifts and ministries will relate to future kingdom responsibilities. Vaughn responds by discussing the command to love one's enemies. He suggests that some people whom believers presently regard as enemies may also exist within the future kingdom. He argues that a person who cannot love an enemy now may abuse that person if later granted governmental power. He uses this example to explain why Yahweh requires present character development. He emphasizes that obedience now prepares believers to teach and administer divine law later. 12. The availability of the first study (49:20–50:08) A participant asks how to obtain the first part of the Zoom study. Vaughn explains that the first session was not successfully recorded because of a technical problem. He offers to provide the presentation slides from that earlier session. He also acknowledges a participant who will serve as a house mother at the Home of Hope. 13. Second Peter 3: The day of the Lord and the renewed Earth (50:08–57:38) A participant asks about the new heavens and new Earth. After clarifying that the question concerns 2 Peter 3:13, Vaughn begins reading at verse 10. He interprets the day of the Lord as the commencement of the millennial reign. He connects this period with the seventh-day Sabbath and the seventh millennium. He argues that the description of the heavens passing away and the elements melting refers to catastrophic destruction rather than the permanent elimination of the Earth. He specifically interprets the imagery as a description of future nuclear warfare. He predicts that conflict involving major world powers will precede the return of Christ. He then explains that the new heavens and new Earth represent renewal. He teaches that Messiah and the resurrected saints will participate in restoring the planet to a condition resembling Eden. 14. Worldwide revival and the government of the nations (57:38–59:19) Another participant asks whether evil people will remain on Earth when the saints begin to reign. Vaughn responds by describing a worldwide outpouring of the Holy Spirit. He expects humanity to acknowledge the authority of Jesus Christ and the knowledge of Yahweh to fill the Earth. He teaches that the nations will still require instruction in divine law. He identifies this instruction as one of the principal responsibilities of the resurrected saints. 15. The first and second resurrections (59:19–1:02:09) A participant asks about the relationship between resurrection, judgment, and the thousand-year reign. Vaughn explains his distinction between the first and second resurrections. He teaches that the first resurrection is reserved for overcomers who submit themselves to Yahweh's word and correction during their present lives. He places the great white throne judgment in connection with the later resurrection. He associates the first resurrection with a special calling and privilege that believers should seek. He also directs participants to his other teachings for further explanation. 16. Revelation 21: The New Jerusalem descends (1:02:09–end of supplied transcript) A participant asks what happens after the thousand-year reign. Vaughn turns to Revelation 21:2–3. He reads the description of the New Jerusalem descending from heaven and the tabernacle of God being with humanity. He emphasizes that the holy city comes down rather than humanity permanently departing the Earth. He describes the restored Earth being presented back to the heavenly Father. The supplied transcript ends in the middle of this explanation. No further conclusion can be verified from the available text.

Core doctrine

Pastor Shane Vaughn teaches that the true purpose of human life is not merely to exist, experience temporary happiness, receive salvation, or eventually enter heaven. He argues that Yahweh created humanity to reflect his image, exercise dominion over the Earth, and ultimately participate in the government of his kingdom. According to Vaughn, the present lifetime is a period of preparation for that future responsibility. He summarizes this teaching with the phrases “training for reigning” and “schooling for ruling.” Vaughn teaches that salvation begins a process of spiritual transformation rather than completing the believer's purpose. He uses Ephesians 4:23–24 to explain that believers must put on a new nature characterized by righteousness and holiness. He identifies Romans 8:29 as the central statement of the believer's ultimate destiny: becoming conformed to the image of God's Son. In his interpretation, accepting Jesus Christ as Savior establishes the starting point, while becoming like Jesus Christ is the goal toward which the believer must continually progress. He teaches that the Holy Spirit enables believers to overcome their rebellious nature and develop the character necessary for future authority. He argues that the greatest obstacle to fulfilling divine purpose is not Satan but the individual's unwillingness to submit to Yahweh. He distinguishes between being a child of God and becoming a spiritually mature son, describing maturity as the process of learning to conform to the standards of the divine household. His emphasis is that believers must learn to govern themselves before they can be trusted to govern others. Vaughn maintains that obedience to Yahweh's law is essential to spiritual development. He criticizes teachings that present obedience as impossible or dismiss it as legalism. He argues that the same Holy Spirit who empowered Jesus is available to believers for overcoming sin. He portrays Jesus as the believer's example, not an excuse for continuing in rebellion. In his theology, loving Jesus necessarily involves imitating his conduct and submitting to his commandments. He teaches that the final inheritance of the redeemed is the Earth rather than an eternal existence in a distant heavenly realm. Using Revelation 5:9–10, he argues that the redeemed are appointed to reign upon the Earth. He connects this promise with the declaration that the meek will inherit the Earth. He maintains that the original dominion entrusted to humanity will be restored through the government of Jesus Christ and his resurrected saints. Vaughn interprets Revelation 20:1–6 as describing the first resurrection and the thousand-year reign of Christ with the overcomers. He teaches that believers who qualify for this resurrection will participate in governing the nations during the millennium. He envisions the resurrected saints helping restore order, justice, healing, and righteousness to the world. He describes the future kingdom as an active administration with real responsibilities rather than a state of perpetual leisure. He uses Revelation 2:26 to teach that overcoming and continued obedience are qualifications for receiving authority over the nations. He insists that believers must learn obedience in the present age because the kingdom they will help administer is governed by divine law. He argues that someone who refuses Yahweh's commandments now cannot be considered prepared to teach those commandments to others in the future. He teaches that the saints will exercise judgment as part of their future government. Drawing on 1 Corinthians 6:2–3, he interprets judging the world as a responsibility connected with governing it. He distinguishes righteous judgment based on scripture from judgment motivated by personal prejudice or hypocrisy. He argues that believers should develop biblical discernment and accountability in preparation for their future responsibilities. Vaughn also teaches that present relationships are opportunities for developing the character required for future authority. He specifically identifies the command to love one's enemies as training in the responsible exercise of power. He argues that a person who cannot love an enemy now might misuse authority over that person in the future. In his understanding, forgiveness, restraint, patience, and obedience are therefore directly connected to preparation for the kingdom. He distinguishes between the first and second resurrections. He teaches that the first resurrection is reserved for overcomers who submit themselves to divine judgment and correction during the present lifetime. He associates the later resurrection with the great white throne judgment and maintains that not everyone belonging to the church will participate in the first resurrection. These distinctions represent Vaughn's interpretation of the resurrection passages and should not be treated as uncontested Christian doctrine. In response to a participant's question, Vaughn interprets the day of the Lord in 2 Peter 3 as the beginning of the millennial reign, which he connects with the seventh-day Sabbath and a proposed seventh-thousand-year period. He argues that the destruction described in the passage concerns catastrophic events affecting the existing world order rather than the permanent annihilation of the planet. He specifically predicts that a future nuclear war will fulfill the imagery of the heavens passing away and the elements melting with intense heat. This is Vaughn's prophetic interpretation, not a prediction established by the biblical text or independently verified evidence. He further teaches that the new heavens and new Earth represent the renewal of creation. He envisions Messiah restoring the planet to conditions resembling the garden of Eden. He expects a worldwide spiritual awakening, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and the nations learning the laws and ways of Yahweh under the administration of Christ and the resurrected saints. Finally, Vaughn interprets Revelation 21:2–3 as demonstrating that the ultimate direction of God's plan is toward the Earth. He emphasizes that the New Jerusalem descends from heaven and that God comes to dwell with humanity. In his theology, the purpose of salvation, transformation, resurrection, and kingdom government is the restoration of humanity and creation under Yahweh's authority.
