Part 4 - The Magician and the Messiah (Zoom Bible Study 12/16/25)
* 00:00 We're going to pick back up, I think, on part four of the magician and the Messiah tonight. Such an exciting series that we're in. And uh. It's filled with so much information. What we done for those that are joining us for the first time. We're going all the way back to the the to the apostolic era of the church. Now, I'm curious. I didn't get to hear the testing earlier, but uh how did everybody. Do, Elder Meadows, on last week's comprehension? >> Everybody did well. It could have been really tricky. It was uh all of those names to read. It was my uh my exercise. >> Hallelujah. Well, >> everybody did well. >> Good. They comprehend it. And that's what I'm looking for to make sure that. We're comprehending what we're learning because what we're learning is so valuable. It is so priceless. We're going to pick up last week. We left uh with Simon Magus. We left with Marcion Kurdo. Uh all of the lineage of the tears, all of the leaders of the early church. Now, I have a new booklet that uh was released yesterday. It's called The Fake Fathers of the Church. Every one of you needs to read that booklet because it goes right along with where we are and it will help you to understand that when we are establishing doctrine at First Harvest Ministries, we do not do it based on the church fathers because they were as messed up as their descendants became. And so it's just important the fathers of this church that you and I are part of. Tonight was Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. That is our fathers. That's who we look to. Not Augustine, not uh Irenaeus, not Justin Martyr. Now we can look to them and their writings for historicity, for historical events. We can look to that to get a gauge of what was going on, but not for doctrine. Doctrine comes solely from the Torah and the apostles. And those will always line up perfectly. And uh for an example uh when people try to convince me that birthdays are pagan, the first thing they go to is Oregon. And because Oregon wrote in his writings uh that uh he didn't celebrate birthdays and therefore people say, "See, there you go. Oregon said it. I couldn't care less what Oregon said. Oregon doesn't impress me at all because if I'm going to believe that about birthdays, then I've also got to do everything else. Origin Oregon suggested. And he was an aesthetic believer. What does that mean? That means he didn't believe in celebrating nothing. He actually believed that all men that are not married ought to cut themselves and castrate themselves. So Oregon doesn't mean nothing to me. You understand? So, I don't follow Oregon. And um and so I I'm trying to tell you that when you're debating people, especially when it comes to Sunday worship, they're always going to bring you to uh Augustine Justin Martyr that references Sunday worship and they're going to say, "See, see right there, the early church was doing it.". And so please please learn the difference in the fake fathers of the church and the true fathers of our faith. So this church is built on the apostles doctrine, not on the fathers of the faith. All right? So that's imperative that we understand that tonight. Now, we're flipping back over to the Apostle John who wore the petal. And by the way, I've been looking everywhere for a petalone. I wanted to get one at the church to set over the chair of Elijah, and I'm having a hard time finding one. So, if anyone can find one uh and buy it, I'll pay you back. I'd love to have one at headquarters as a symbol of the succession of truth. So, um, today we're flipping, we're leaving Marcion and the Catholic Church and all of that. We're leaving that today and we're going back to the other line. There are two lines always, tears and wheat, true and false. Uh, uh, and we are going to flip back to the true vine today. The true line. We left off two weeks ago with John wearing the Petalon. And then we need to find out where the Petalon for those just joining us. What is the Petalon? It was the uh it went under the uh the uh whatever you call it. The word just slipped my mind. It goed across the forehead and it said holy unto the Lord. Under the miter. That's that's what it went under. And so it was the signature of the high priest. It was only the high priest was allowed to wear the petal. It was the symbol of true legitimate authority. But we all know that John died. Now John died and this is something that I really need everyone to listen to. There is a movement, a false doctrine that is prevalent on Facebook, social media, and it's called predism. Someone tell me what predtoism is. If anyone knows, >> they believe that everything happened in 70 AD, that Jesus already came back, everything's done with, and we're living in the millennial reign right now. It's absolutely >> good job. Good job, evangelist. Now the problem with that they believe that John when he was writing about the end times that he was actually writing about the destruction of the temple and uh and he was writing about uh the desecration of the Roman army and uh. But there's a problem because John wrote the book of revelation in 90 AD. The temple was destroyed in 70 AD that will never work. So, you need to know these things as we're moving along because uh John the Apostle uh wrote his book in 90 AD, but he died. We know he died. Now, I'm going to give you a pop quiz. At that moment, there were two centers of religious influence in the land. Two during the days of the apostles. One was Rome. I need someone else to tell me the name of the other sphere of apostolic influence in that day. You had the Roman churches and the what? Sister Rebecca Miner, I can't hear you. Unmute yourself. >> Sorry. The Asian churches. >> The Asian churches. Absolutely. And uh so in Asia Minor were seven churches. And when I start teaching on the book of Revelation, which it's getting closer and closer when that's going to happen, we will deal with each one of these churches in the minutest detail. But suffice it to say, the seven legitimate churches, legitimate, that were under the Johnine influence, that's a big fancy word for John, the Apostle John. If you want to find truth, you have to come under the Johnine influence and his ordinations. That's where true apostolic succession can be found. It was there only that truth was authorized. It was in those churches. And that is why Yesua, listen to me carefully, that is why in the book of Revelation, Yesua corrected those five churches. He didn't correct seven of them. Somebody tell me why quickly. Why did he only correct five? >> You need two witnesses. >> There you go. Two churches, Smyrna and Philadelphia, were perfect in his eyes. They they he had no complaint against those churches. And so, uh, and I I'm not surprised because the bishop of that church was Polycarp. So anyway, be that as it may, why did Yosua correct the Asian churches and gave no correction to the Roman churches? I want you to think about this. Now, in the book of Revelation, there's no correction for the church of Rome. There's no correction for the church of Constantinople. No, it's it's the Asian churches. Maybe because they didn't maybe because they didn't um accept them as being a part of the body. >> And Yosua himself recognized the true church were the Asian churches and the false church was the Roman church. And therefore, Yahweh never and Yeshua never ever corrects the false church. Judgment does not begin in the church. It begins in the house of Yahweh where he has put his name. That's why everyone in this ministry, listen carefully, you will deal with God's judgment more than those in the false church, those in Babylon. Why? You have been called to the seven churches. You have been called that number. Seven is the number of completion and perfection. You have been called to the perfected church and therefore judgment for us comes straight from heaven and we have to walk ever so careful. That's why I told you. I was so disappointed last Sabbath in what I was seeing. We're trying to build a this endtime work that has no time for petty anti-urch stuff. By the way, the peruses are not here tonight. Does anybody know if they're okay? >>. They're here. >> They're here. My bad.
* 11:44 Okay. Now, so tonight after John dies, we need to find out who his successor is. And you don't have to search far to find out that his successor was a man by the name of Polycarp. Polycarp. Now, I want to start this off by showing you how that Yahweh at the point of a child's birth, if that child is predestined for a position and a specific work. For God, the name of that child, I believe with all of my heart, is whispered into the heart of the mother to name that child prophetically the name that God has because names carry within them destiny. And so I want to talk about a name that was given to Polycarp at the moment of his birth. When I say the word Poly, tell me what comes to your mind. Those of you that understand uh roots of a word, poly, >> many many someone. That's in a polygamous marriage has what? Many wives. So we have poly. Now that is the first word. I want you to remember many. But karpos uh is his Greek name. Polycarpos is is how you spell it. And it is the word fruit. Fruit. Much fruit. The name polycarb means double fruit. Double fruit. More than normal fruit. Much much fruit. And so uh that is prophetic that his life would bring forth much fruit. Let's go to John chapter 15 verse 5. And I'm going to show you how his very name tells us. He is the natural successor of the Christ line or the Messiah's line. Let's read it. John 15. And5. Elder. Amen. Apostle. I am the vine. Ye are the branches. He that abideth in me and I am. You if you want to know if you're abiding in me. And I'm abiding in you, read >> the same bringeth forth much fruit. >> The same bringeth forth polycarp. >> Polycarp. Amen. Apostle, >> this tells us that his very name was created for him to bring forth much fruit. Now, that's interesting, but it's not near as interesting as where your pastor is going next. Because, as you know, Greek words don't impress me much, but Hebrew words do. What is the Hebrew equivalent of polycarp? Now, y'all are not ready for this. I promise you, cuz some of you going to turn Pentecostal when you hear it and start acting crazy. Hallelujah. Listen to me now. This is the Hebrew equivalent of Polycarp. The very name. Let's go to Genesis 41 52. Genesis 41:52. The name you're about to read about means double fruit. Double fruit. Much. Fruit. Genesis 41:52. Read. Amen. And the name of the second called he Ephraim. Hallelujah. >> Come. On. >>. Why did he name him Ephraim? Read >> for Yahweh caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction. >> You have called me to be fruitful or what? Double fruitful. So the name Ephraim the root word is parah which means to bear much fruit. So the name polycarp has the same prophetic tone as the name Ephraim. Both names mean much fruit. Now in scripture Ephraim is not just a man's name. It became the name of a movement. It became the name of an entire nation. Whenever we talk about the northern tribes of Israel, how do we refer to them collectively? By what name? >> Ephraim. >> Amen. What about the lost tribes? We call the lost tribes. When you're reading in the Bible and you see that word Ephraim, >> that's the lost tribes. Now, why is that? Remember beloved, the Jewish people is not Ephraim. And the Jewish people are not fruitful. The Jewish people are not as the stars of the sky. They are not as the sand of the sea. They are not fruitful. I believe I looked up the numbers at so many millions of them. Very minute in the world. That's not fruitful. Okay. But Ephraim is the fruitful branch. He's the one that carries the birthright, the fruitful branch. When the kingdom divided after Solomon and the Jews stayed in the south, Ephraim went to the north. Read Jeremiah 31 and verse 20. And then Jeremiah 31:18. Let's all turn there in our Bibles. Never believe anything I teach you. Follow me in these scriptures and one will connect to the next. Jeremiah 31:20. >> Is Ephraim. My dear. Son? Is he a pleasant child? For since I spoke against him, I do earnestly remember him still. Therefore, my bows are troubled for him. I will surely have mercy upon him, saith Yahweh. >> Oh, my bows are troubled. Elder Morgan, I've watched. I've watched you live. This very thing. He said, "My boughs are troubled for my son.". >> Yes, sir. >> My very bows are troubled. He Yahweh, it's as if Yahweh is saying, "I sent Ephraim away, but I miss Ephraim. >> I sent him away, but my bowels are troubled. I've literally got an upset stomach.". God said that's how much I love the northern tribes. I love them even though I've divorced them and I've put them away. Ephraim is my pleasant son. Now when I read those words, Ephraim is my pleasant son or my dear son. He's got two sons in this equation. Judah and Ephraim. There is something very special to Yahweh's heart. Now, you know, I'm the biggest offender of the Jewish people. Don't misunderstand me, but there seems to be something very, very special about Ephraim in the heart of the father. And this is so important that we understand it. Go to verse 18. >> Amen. I have surely heard Ephraim bemoning himself thus. Thou hast chastened me, and I was chastised as a bulock, unac unaccustomed to the yoke. Turn thou me, and I shall be turned, for thou. Hallelujah, the Lord my God, Yahweh. >> Hallelujah. This is the That's the Do y'all realize that's the day you're living in? I don't know if we get that. I don't know if we really this prophecy you are living it. Nobody before you lived it. Nobody before us lived it except for this particular strain of but >> well. We're experiencing it. >> But we're returning now. We are in the aliyah. We this is the prophecy. We are oh. We're fulfilling this prophecy. Ephraim is coming back to the fathers through the voice of Elijah. This was the prophecy. It will not happen until the voice of Elijah brings Ephraim back into the place. Now, what is important here? Listen carefully. I'm about to show you something. When the Jews rejected Messiah, we know they had to do it. We know it means nothing. We know it matters nothing because we know they're all coming to the Messiah. We prophesy that. We declare that. We decree that in the earth. We want the atmosphere to hear it that all Jews will come back to their father through the son. Oh, hallelujah. I thank God that I have that understanding that my mind is not blinded to the eternal purposes that Yahweh Oh, I feel the anointing now. God has got a plan and you are involved in that happening as I speak to you tonight. Hallelujah. Thank God. And then John, remember John the Apostle when he is ready to die just before he leaves the earth, he takes the petal and ordains Polcarp. I'll prove that to you in a just a few minutes. I'll bring up the historical proof. He ordains Polycarp. In other words, he ordains, listen to me carefully, Ephraim. Oh, hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. He was going to send the truth through Ephraim to the nations of the world that he inherited from his beloved father in the Lord. Oh, he was ordained by John the Zedekite custodian who wore the petal and Ephraim. It was John. When he laid hands, he didn't lay hands on just anybody. He laid hands on Ephraim and gave him the Zedekite crown and said, "Through this line of Ephraim, truth will be preserved.". Thank you, Father. Now when Polycarp receives ordination to preserve the true faith through the faithful remnant. It's important that we understand exactly what happened. These people, and I'm not going to teach on this tonight, the people from that ordination became known to history as the quortoesimons. If you want to put that in your notes, quart is the is the word for 14. 14 that they became the 14th people, if you will. They became the quartortoesims. They were known to the church at that time, the false church as the 14 people. The quortoims. It became a major division. You listen to me. Anytime anybody returns. Back to the 14th day of the first month, it will bring major division between you and the tears. Trust. Me. Trust. Me. Oh, hallelujah. They became known as the quortoesimons, the 14th people. What does that mean? Out when all the other churches were turning to Easter and resurrection Sunday, the quarttoesims remained faithful to the 14th day of the first month. They would not give up the number 14. It became their identity. I dare you to Google what I'm teaching. You'll be embarrassed at how much you don't know. These quortoesims were John's disciples. And I'll show it to you in just a moment. Quotes from that period where they refused to give up Passover for Easter. And that's why the Roman church called them heretics. John's disciples were called heretics because they were stuck in legalism, stuck on a number 14 instead of just coming into the unity of the church. They were stuck on something that looked so trivial, the number 14. Amen. Apostle, >> I hope you're hearing me tonight. Hallelujah. I hope you're hearing me because I know some of their descendants today. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. >> I said I know some of their descendants. Oh, yes, I do. >>. And those descendants would come back on the scene during the Hebrew roots movement when we would begin to come out of those things and come back to the number 14. You listen to me and listen well. Why? I want you to think about this. Why is Passover on the 14th day of the first month? Because 14 is a double seven. Do you understand? 14 is a double perfection. And God's people are always identified not by 666, but always by 777. We are always identified in the sevens of God. We are signed by seven. The seventh day Sabbath and the 14th day of the first month is the DOUBLE SIGNATURE. THE MARK OF YAHWEH. Versus the mark of the beast. Oh. Hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. >> Oh. Shahaya. Yes. Uhhuh. Today I was watching.
* 27:03 The covenant is a movie while I was doing you know cleaning whatever and they I remember now they saying between. Each generation from Adam to Abraham was 14 generations. >> That's correct. That's correct. >> Amen. >> You're absolutely right. That double seven because there must be two or three witnesses. This double 14. There is a reason that Yahweh's called you back to sevens and 14s because his numbers is his signature. Just like the antichrist number is his signature. Now what we're experiencing today is the gathering of scattered Polycarp or Ephraim. John ordained Ephraim to preserve the faith for Ephraim. I don't know if you heard me, so I'm going to say that one more time. John ordained Ephraim to preserve the true faith for Ephraim. Oh, hallelujah. Thank you, Father. I'm telling you, I just want to say my favorite line. Oh, the wonder of it. He literally ordained Ephraim for Ephraim. And he said, John told Polycarp, preserve the faith because one day there will be a people that will come back to the true original apostolic faith. Remember what we established at the beginning of this series four weeks ago, the wheat in the parable. Remember I talked about the wheat and I told you. I finally knew what it meant. The wheat in the parable is not sinners. It's not bad people in the church. It's scattered Israel. I I mean the terrorists is not bad people. And the wheat, it's not good. Christians versus bad. No, no, no. The wheat is scattered Israel. The wheat is Ephraim, the lost tribe sown among the religious tears. Who are the tears? Church people. They look like us. They love God like we love him. They they love Jesus. Uh. They're as sincere, many of them, as we are. But they're the counterfeit. They don't realize that their eyes have not been opened. But they're the counterfeits growing right alongside of the true apostolic faith. And who preserved the wheat during the centuries of corruption? I'll tell you who's done it. Policarp Ephraim. We're going to trace those lines. We're going to follow those lines. Uh we're going to go to the Valentinian people. We're going to go to the Waldenians. We're going to follow those lost tribes. Ephraim carried this truth throughout the nations of the world. They were the wheat scattered among the tears. And my brothers and sisters, if you're part of this movement that we're in today, if you've come out of mainstream Christianity, and if you have embraced Torah, Sabbath, the feast, the names, you're Ephraim. And the faith you now hold, the faith that every one of you in this room now hold was held by people that were just as ridiculed as you are. Your forefathers, they did the same thing you're doing. They gathered in little small enclaves conclaves. They they came together and was misunderstood by all of Christianity. We are part of a rejected lot. We are part of a people that's been given a pearl of great price that was hidden in the field. And we are from that line of apostolic faith. The faith that you hold was preserved for you by a man named Polycarp. John the Zetakite handed it to Polycarp. And then Polycarp handed it to a man by the name of Papus. P A P I A S. And then Papus handed it to the Cortoesims. That was the first group of people that held on to apostolic faith. And then it went down through the Valentinian people, through the Waldenian people, and then those pilgrims that got on that ship in Holland. Oh. Yes. Those Puritans. Come on now. Oh, that carried that truth across the ocean blue. Hallelujah. God has always had a remnant. Always has had a remnant. Now the thing what he's doing today that's different than then is now he's reuniting that hidden remnant bringing them to the four uniting them with Judah bringing them into an understanding of who they are and hastening their ministry as the seventh trumpet begins to sound. Now I want to look at Polycarp tonight. I want to break Polycarp down for you. He served Christ for 86 years. For over 60 years, he was the bishop of the church in Smyrna. Now, Polycarp had two disciples. You're going to learn about these two disciples. And when I say two disciples, remember what I've always taught you. There's always two. There's always the twins. There's always Polycarp had two major disciples. Irenaeus. Irenaeus and Papus. P A P I A S. That was the two that was. Under the ministry directly of Polycarp. Polycarp preserved apostolic teaching against Roman Catholicism. He confronted Marcon to the face. He converted many of the Valentinians and the Marcianites back to the true apostolic faith. He was a martyr that became a model for all Christians. His bones were so treasured by that apostolic era. They said his bones were more precious than gold. He was born around 69 or 70 AD, right at the time when Jerusalem was destroyed. Right after Peter and Paul were martyed. In other words, Polycarp was not yet born when Peter and Paul was on the earth. But right after they are martyed, Polycarp is born. He was born a slave. He was from present day Syria or maybe a little further east than that. But he was born a slave. He was brought to Smyrna as a child. He was brought to Smyrna as a child. And this is important. Remember, he died as the bishop of Smyrna, but he was brought to Smyrna as a child. Now, stay with me because it gets very interesting. There was a godly woman in Smyrna by the name of Kalisto. She was a very wealthy Christian woman. She was a widow and she was known for her works of charity. One night an angel appeared to Castillo in a vision and said to her, and I quote, "Calisto, rise up and go to the gate of the city called the Ephesian gate. When you have gone forward, two men will meet you, and they will have with them a little boy named Holly. Ask them, "Is this slave for sale?". When they say yes, give them whatever price they demand, and take him and keep him with you. This child is a native of the east. Wow. Notice what the angel told Kalisto. There's no price too great for this boy. Whatever. Why did God go to a rich woman? Why didn't he call? Because he needed a rich woman to pay whatever price because there are some men in this world. That's worth God said go pay whatever because that boy is Ephraim. He's going to be very fruitful. In the earth. He said take the little boy home with you. Now, I I want to show you something that when I read this story. When I read this story, I'm going to share my screen with you. Immediately, I sent a message. I'm trying to find it. Give me one second. I was seeing if she responded. Not yet. Let me show you. I sent a message to Yeah, that's it. Mhm. To my aunt Peggy Gatlin. I said, "Aunt Peggy, before you get too old to remember, lol. I'm writing my next book, My Life Story. And I was hoping you could reiterate a dream that Mama Temple had about me. You told me once, if you can remember. Now, Aunt Peggy has not responded yet. That was four hours ago. But when she does respond, you're going to hear the exact same dream. It blew my mind. >> Hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. >> It don't surprise. Me. Hallelujah. >> It blew my mind. I'm waiting on a Peggy to write back because I don't remember every detail. But the lady, my foster mother, Mama Temple, that raised me, she was over 70 years old and she should never have have gotten me because she was too old. But she said she had a dream and the angel of the Lord told her, "Take that little boy home with you and raise him. How I showed you.". And she tells that there was wolves chasing me in that dream. And she would she took me in her arms in the dream and the she anyway I I don't remember every detail after that. So I don't want to add or take away. I'm waiting because that's going in my book. But I'm showing you something. I am showing you that God deal if that lady Mama Temple would not have gotten me number one she was a member of my grandmother's church, Sister Gatlin in New Orleans. I was raised in that church under that anointing because Mama Temple brought me to that environment, brought me to that church and placed me in that atmosphere of the glory. If I believe if I would have been raised anywhere else and never tasted the glory of the Lord like I did, I don't believe I'd be sitting here today. God went and had a woman take me in her home to position me. Polycarp was a slave. He was what is a sl I was a slave because my mama didn't want me. My daddy didn't want me. And I was literally a homeless little boy. And God spoke to her in a dream to go take me. And when God spoke to Castillo and said, "Go get that boy and bring him to your house. Why? You're a Christian. You," and the dream, he told her, "you are going to train him in his calling.". And that's exactly what happened to me because remember my grandmother, this is important, would she had 10 children, 30 grandchildren by then. I was just another one of her grandchildren. There's no way she could help me take care of me. Had I gotten into the foster care system and it would not have been Mama Temple that got me. I don't know if I ever would have been under my grandmother's anointing or that I would have wound up anywhere in the world. God sent a woman. And that's why I know that this is how Yahweh works. I've seen it in my own life. He told Castillo, "Go and get Polycarp.". And she obeyed. She went to the gate. She found the two men with the slave boy. She purchased him, took him home, and raised him as her own son in the Christian faith. That is Yahweh's providential power to position people for his plans. Because if Castillo would not have gone and gotten him, she would have never brought him to John. Oh, hallelujah. See, Yahweh is organizing the steps of your life. Everything is operating as it should. Now, let's talk about Polycarp. He grew up >> Hallelujah. Amen. He grew up >> I agree. >> He grew up in Castillo's household. >> He was diligent in the scripture.
* 43:18 And listen guys, do you know the first gift that was ever bought for me. As a young man, I'm going to say 8, nine, 10 years old. All I wanted for my birthday, I will never forget it till the day I die. My father bought it for me. He said, "What do you want for your birthday?". Do you know what I told him? I wanted a concordance. Y'all don't know what concordances are. Nobody uses them anymore. But I wanted a concordance. I'll never forget it. And back then it was $19 for a big old thick concordance. Strong's concordance. And I'm telling you, I thought I had won the lottery. Nobody could pull me out of that concordance night and day studying the scripture. And and the and history tells us that Polycarp was diligent as a young man in the study of the scriptures and then he was. The the history tells us that there was gravity of deportment in him. Now I didn't quite know what that meant gravity of it meant he was serious and mature beyond his years. That was me. Same thing. I hated being around young people. I didn't even like kids when I was a kid. I wanted to be sitting up under the preachers up. Why? There was something in me desperate to fulfill my calling. I knew it as a child. I knew what I would be as old when I was old enough to know anything. History tells us he was very benevolent. He gave all his money away. He was very benevolent. It tells us he lived in selfdenial and piety from his youth. This is Polycarp. Now, there's a story about Polycarp. That is reported that when Kalisto went away on a journey, she left Polycarp in charge of her entire household. He began to distribute all the food she had to all the servants, the widows, the orphans, and the poor Christians that would come to the house needing food. He gave away everything, the corn, the wine, the oil, until the store room was empty. Kalisto. When she came home, a servant ran up to her and said, "You put everything in the hands of that young lad and he's emptied all the store rooms.". Well, Kalisto thought the servant had lied and began she was going to whip the servant. And Polycarp said, "No, no, don't treat him ill on my behalf.". And here was the words he said. As for me, seeing that I did not spend with evil intent, but on the poor, the God and father of the blessed Yesua, the Messiah, has both filled the hungry and sent his angel to restore you your own, that you also may have more to give to the poor.". So they went down to the store room and miraculously the store room was filled completely after he gave everything away. Now this is how Polycarp came to John. John in 69 AD. When Polycarp is born he settles down in Ephesus. That's where John the apostle, remember the temple is destroyed. So they're all leaving Jerusalem, right? He comes to Ephesus. Polycarp is born, listen to this, in the same year that John moves to Ephesus. Polycarp is born that year. Now Ephesus is 50 miles from Smyrna. So basically from Waveland to New Orleans is how far John is from Polycarp 50 miles. In 81 AD John is exiled to the aisle of Patmas. He is there from 81 to 96 AD. In 96 AD while on Patmas, he writes the book of Revelation and he's released from the island and goes where? Back to Ephesus in 96 AD. In 100 AD, John dies at over 90 years old. So, where did Polycarp come into John's life? When Polycarp was a little boy, listen to this, maybe 10, 15 years old, somewhere in there at Kalisto's house. Remember, the Apostle John was an old man already living in Ephesus. Smyrna. Where did Polycarp move to? Polycarp was in Smyrna. That's where Kalisto lived. Smyrna was one of the seven churches that John wrote a letter to while he was on Patmas. And guess who was a member of that church? >> Polycarp. >> Polycarp. >> Wow. Hallelujah. Polycarp was part of the church of Smyrna. And when John wrote to the church at Smyrna, Polycarp was there. When Yesua said these words, Revelations 2 and 10. Let's see what was told to Polycarp's little ears while he was in that church. Revelation 2 and verse 10. >> Amen. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer. Behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried, and you shall have tribulation 10 days. Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. >> Polycarp heard that message. >> Amen. >> Polycarp received his pastor's words. Poly because John was the apostle over all the churches. John's ministry was a lot like mine. He had uh uh followers in seven different places around Asia, but he was the apostle. He was all of their authority. And they he's speaking to them. He received what his apostle said. Polycarp fulfilled that prophecy 60 years later when he was martyed himself. Did not John prophesy to Polycarp in that letter? Be thou faithful unto death. They will throw you in prison that you may be tried, but be faithful unto death, Polycarp, and I will give thee the crown of life. That message from his pastor kept him all the way to martyrdom. Oh, blessed be the name of Yahweh. Hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. Woo. Thank you, Father, for truth tonight. Now, I'm going to show you what some of the early historians said about John and Polycarp. Thank you, Father. Here we go. Irenaeus wrote in 180 AD. Polycarp was not only instructed by apostles and conversed with many who had seen Christ but was also by apostles in Asia appointed bishop of the church in Smyrna. Now, there were two apostles that ordained in that era, and we'll get to that in just a minute. Tertullian said, "The Apostle John himself, according to original records, ordained Polycarp, Bishop of Smyrna.". Jerome in 400 AD said Polycarp was a disciple of the apostle John and by him ordained prespter of Smyrna. And then in the book the martyrdom of Ignatius. It says Ignatius came to Smyrna where he disembarked with great joy and hastened to see the holy polycarp formerly his fellow disciple and now bishop of Smyrna. For they had both in old times been disciples of St. John the Apostle. And Ignatius was on his way to be martyed and he got off the boat and they let him. Go see Polycarp who had also studied at the feet of John the Apostle. This is what history tells us about these men. Now notice, Ignatius and Polycarp were fellow disciples. They sat under the same feet, heard the same words, received the same teaching. Now, let me show you what Irenaeus said about Polycarp and what Polycarp learned from John the Apostle. We'll read it together. Thank you, Lord. Arena says, "I can describe the place where the blessed Polycarp sat down to preach the word of God. It is yet present to my mind with what gravity he everywhere came in and went out. What was the sanctity of his department, the majesty of his countenance, and what were his holy exhortations to the people? >> >> I seem to hear him now relate how he conversed with John and with the others who had seen Yeshua, the words he had heard from their mouths. So Polycarp didn't just know about John. Polycarp conversed with John. He heard the words that that Zedekite high priest had to say. He received John's teachings directly. And what did he learn from John? Polycarp claimed that John taught him number one the 14th day of the first month Passover. And he said that poly that John taught him the true humanity of Yesua against dosatism and the bodily resurrection.
* 55:56 Now, a lot of people today when I say that the false church does not believe in the bodily resurrection, I'm going to prove to you that the modern church is gnostic. They don't believe in a resurrection. It is impossible to believe in a rapture and a resurrection. You can't believe both. The modern church does not believe in the resurrection. You say, "Well, I've heard them talk about it, right? That don't mean anything.". Listen to me carefully. In the modern church, I'm going to show you. They got it from Catholicity, from Simon Magus. The original apostolic church was so focused on the resurrection of the dead. The modern church is not because the modern church believes. When you die, you go to heaven or hell. If that is true, there be there need be no resurrection. If you've already gone to heaven or hell, you just got rid of the resurrection. >> Amen, Apostle. >> And I'm showing you right now the difference in the apostolic people, the house of Israel, holding true to John's teachings and the modern church. If you believe in the rapture, you do not believe in the resurrection. And if you believe that we go to heaven when we die or hell, you cannot believe in a resurrection. And therefore you are not carrying the petalone. You are not under apostolic truth as Polycarp was and John was. You believe the contrarywise opposite of what they taught. And I'm going to prove this to you today that the modern church is antichrist. They do not believe Yeshua came in the flesh. They do not believe in the resurrection. They do not believe in the 14th day of the first month. On and on and on and on. They are not the Petalone church. They are not the Zetekite church. They are the tears. They're illegitimate. They're totally illegitimate. Let me show you what Polycarp said. I didn't say they were lost. I said they're illegitimate and they will not be in the government of Yesua. Here's what Polycarp said. Polycarp said, "I cannot change.". There he is meeting with the Pope of Rome because the Pope of Rome is coming face to face with Polycarp. At his old age, Polycarp got on a boat and went to Rome. Could barely walk and sat down with a meeting with the false church. Why? Because the false church was doing away with the Passover, replacing it with Easter. Polycarp as a quortoim is there. And guess what the pope of Rome tried to do? He tried to convert Polycarp. So he he told Polycarp, "Because we honor you and respect you, we do not want to dysfellowship you.". Does anybody hear. What I just said? The audacity of fake. Now I want you to look at this picture. Here is the fake church threatening to excommunicate Polycarp. >> My mama calling him a heretic. This is the Zetakite high priest. That's what it looks like when your Christian friends try to make you feel like you've gone back to legalism because you're a quarton. >> We experience that same thing, Apostle. >> Amen, son. Under the sun >> the the gall of this fake church to intimidate you. When you're walking in that cordto anointing and and and and and I love I love. I love what Polycarp told the pope. Let's read it together. I cannot change what I always observed with John the disciple of Yesua that shouldn't say Yahweh Yesua misprint and the other apostles with whom I associated with you false pagan hope. How dare you tell me to walk away from what I saw John do? I I don't get I don't beg the audacity. The and I see it in my Christian friends every day when they look to me to call me a heretic because I'm a cordimon because I I'm going to do it on the seventh day, the 14th day. I'm going to do it the way John did it. So my answer to them, I cannot change what John did. I cannot CHANGE WHAT I SAW JOHN DO. I read the book. I CANNOT CHANGE THAT YESHUA WENT TO THE SABBATH EVERY SABBATH AS HIS CUSTOM WAS. I MUST NOT CHANGE WHAT I SAW THEM DO. >> HALLELUJAH. >> HALLELUJAH. >> HALLELUJAH. >> HALLELUJAH. >> AMEN. >> I KNOW WHO I'M FOLLOWING. THE FOOTSTEPS OF CHRIST AND HIS APOSTLES. THE BIBLE SAID THIS CHURCH IS BUILT ON CHRIST, THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE, AND THE APOSTLES. WHY? THAT'S WHO WE FOLLOW, not the false church that came after. Guys, I want I just that picture. Just there's a part of me want to say, Polycart, why would you even give them people five minutes of your dignity? I mean, we're talking two. You know why he did it? Because he knew some of his followers had gone over there and left the faith. He was there to get them back. He was there to save them. He was there. And the Bible or the history tells us that from that day forward, the false church mocked the true church. Just like Michael when David was dancing before Yahweh with all his heart, that false church was sitting in a window laughing at him for dancing and running the aisles and and giving it all he had, mocking him. I've called I'm telling every one of you tonight, you are the inheritors of something so holy and precious. Rabbi say you are the legitimate heirs of apostolic truth. Hallelujah. You better hold on to it. It's a pearl of great price. Find the truth and SELL IT NOT. YOU ARE FROM. A lineage of truth. >> Hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Polycarp said, "I did not change what I saw.". Polycarp, if you don't change, the church is moving on. You're going to be left the only ones doing the 14th day of the first month. We'll all be doing Easter. You're going to lose the respect of the church. Hallelujah. So be it. Praise Yahweh. So be it.
* 01:05:02 Now, let's talk about Ignatius of Antioch, another disciple of John. Whenever Ignatius was being transported to Rome for execution, we just read where he stopped off to see Polycarp. And I want to read to you what he said about that meeting. Here's Ignatius meeting. And what do they talk about when they get together? When they were both baptized by John. Oh, the wonder of it. Hallelujah. And here's these two disciples talking. And he says, "Through your baptism, Polycarp," this is Ignatius. Talking to Polycarp, "you have enrolled in the militia Christi, the army of Christ that sheds no blood. Let your baptism endure as your weapon, your faith as your helmet, your love as your spear, your patience as your complete armor. When these two men got together, they weren't talking about the weather. They was remembered when their apostle baptized them into the army of Christ. >> Hallelujah. >> That was their conversation. And Ignatius is on his way to die. He's that he's going to be martyed and all they talking about is when they were baptized. Notice they're not talking about when they believed on Christ. No, they're talking about when they made aliyah. They're talking about. When they were baptized, he told Polycarp, we were entered into the militia Christi, the army of Christ. Oh, hallelujah. That was in 107 AD. Polycarp was 38 years old at that time and he would need that armor for another 50 years of spiritual warfare. Now let's talk about Papus. We're going to talk about Papus. Now, Papus is very important because Papus not only was he a disciple of Polycarp, but he also heard John teach as well. And here's what is said. Irenaeus tells us Papus was a hearer of John and a companion of Polycarp, a man of old times. What happened was Papus was John's disciple, but John passed the petal to Polycarp and now Papus becomes a servant to Polycarp. Why? Because the petal is going to pass to Papus from Polycarp. Whoever you get under is what you get under. Hallelujah. And Papus was the bishop of Hieropoulos, which is about a 100 miles from Smyrna, from here to Baton Rouge pretty much. Papius and Polycarp were companions, fellow disciples. Papus collected the traditions about Yesua from John and he compiled them into a fivebook work called Exposition of the Sayings of the Lord. Now, let me show you what Papus said in that book that he wrote. I've been trying to get my hands on that book and I think I have found one. So, I'm desperately trying to negotiate the price. I'd love to have that book in my library. Papius said, "I did not take pleasure in those that speak much, but in those who teach the truth. What a mouthful. I took no pleasure in those that were preaching, talking. I looked for truth and I found it in John and Polycarp. Papus treasured truth above entertainment. That was the mindset of those that had access to the apostles. Both Papius and Polycarp had that access to John. For over 60 years, Polycarp served as the bishop of Smyrna. Think about it. 60 years. That's about how long Bishop Kendrick has been here. 60 years of teaching the same truth. During those decades, Polycarp trained Papus. Papus held fast to apostolic teaching. And it was Papius that trained Irenaeus. And it was I'm sorry, Polycarp trained Irene. I'm so sorry. And both of these men were trained under Polycarp. Polycarp confronted Marcion. Do you understand that it was Polycarp that when Marcion came up to Polycarp to shake Polycarp's hand, do you know what Polycarp said to Marcion? Does anybody remember? >> You are a son of Satan. >> Yeah. >> He said, "You. Are the firstborn son of Satan.". So much for unity. You don't unite with false. Marcion was a fellow minister. Marcion wrote the first New Testament. And he comes up to Polycarp like he's some dude and wants to meet Polycarp. Polycarp turns will not shake his hand. He said, "You are the firstborn son of Satan.". If we did that in today's church, that's what we need to do. Exactly what Polycarb did. He turned and said, "You're the firstborn son.". A fellow minister called him the firstborn son of Satan. Serpent seed is what he called him. Now, what was Polycarp's credentials? He was ordained by two apostles, John and Phillip. Both anointed him bishop of the church of Smyrna. Irenaeus said Polycarp always taught the things which he learned from the apostles. And notice these words. Let me see if I have that quote. I hope I do because this is powerful. I think Yeah, y'all got to read this. This is powerful because this is so true for even the day we're living in today. Polycarp was not only instructed by the apostles and conversed with many who had seen Christ but was uh but also by the apostles in Asia. Appointed bishop of the church in Smyrna, always taught the things which he had learned from the apostles, which had been handed down, and I love this last line, which alone is truth. Now, what's so sad? The man Irenaeus that wrote this, a disciple of Polycarp, left the teachings of Polycarp and joined the Catholic Church a few years down the road during the great falling away. That man wrote something that blew my mind. He said, "Polycarp alone had truth. People can leave you even though you have the truth. Those words sound familiar. He said Polycarp alone had truth. I've heard those words before. He alone. And yet, man, we got to be careful. Irenaeus was Polycarp's elder disciple. And that man confessed Polycarp had the truth. And yet he's a Catholic priest. Somebody say, "The more things change.". Hallelujah. >> The more they change. >> Hallelujah. >> Praise the Lord. I'm going to move on now because my time is running out. Here's what I want to get into now. What doctrines did Polycarp teach? Well, luckily Polycarp left them behind for us. There is one book that history saved from Polycarp. You can order it online. It's called Polycarp to the Philippians. He wrote a letter. He wrote many, but this is the only one we have. And he wrote to the Philippians. And now we're going to talk about some of the things that he believed to see if our church, our ministry, to see if we believe what Polycarp taught, to see if we are corttoims, to see how we're lining up with truth. Number one, I'm going to read directly from his book. Polycarp to the Philippians, chapter 1, verse three. Though you saw him not, you believed, and believing, rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. Into which joy many desire to enter, knowing that by grace you are saved, not of works, but by the will of Yahweh through Yesua the Messiah. Well, I'll be if that don't sound just like Paul's writings. That sounds like Polycarp is teaching verbatim Paul's writings about salvation by grace through faith. And I'm proud to tell you. Today, FHMI teaches salvation by grace, predestined grace. You're not saved by works, but by the will of God, the predestined plan of God. Polycarp is literally quoting Ephesians 2 and 8-9 almost verbatim. Why? He was faithful. The the Irenaeus said he was faithful to teach only what the apostles taught. And here he is doing it. Now, let's go to Philippians. Not in your Bibles, so sorry. Epistle to the Philippians. And3. We're going to go through his doctrines tonight. He said, "If anyone be inwardly possessed of three graces, he has fulfilled the commandment of righteousness. Since he that has love is far from all sin. And then he says in Philippians 3. And3, faith is one of those graces followed by hope and preeded by love towards Yahweh and Messiah. So he just said faith is the foundation. Hope follows faith and love is greater than them all. Love towards Yahweh and Messiah. There's one word you're never going to hear in his writings. Interestingly enough, Holy Spirit. You're going to hear Yahweh and his Messiah. But you do not hear the doctrine of Marcion that preached of this other. Good God, this unknown god, this sweet spirit God. MAR UH YOU DON'T FIND that God in uh Polycarp's writing. You find Yahweh and his Messiah. Interesting. Let's continue. Philippians. And1. But the love of money is the root of all evil. Knowing therefore that as we brought nothing into the world, we can take nothing out. Let us arm ourselves with the armor of righteousness. Now, here's what's interesting. Polycarp was a very wealthy man. Castillo left him all of her riches. And so, he's not preaching against money. He's preaching against the love of money. Why is he preaching that? That's what his apostles preached. He was faithful to teach what the apostles taught. Next, let's go to Philippians 4 and2. He said, "Husbands, teach your wives to walk in the faith given to them and in love and purity. They must be tender towards their husbands and walk with him in all truth and loving all others equally in all chastity and train up their children in the knowledge and the fear of Yahweh. Polycarp is teaching for wives to be tender to their husbands. He's teaching for them to walk in chastity, to maintain purity, and to train their children. What is he quoting here? Torah, this is Torahbased family life. The wife is not bucking up to her husband like a grown man. She's tender towards her husband. If you are a wife in this room tonight talking to your husband. Like you are a man, you are not Torah observant. Wives are tender towards their husbands. According to Polycarp, I'm proud to say FHMI so far. We're batting a hundred with doctrinal agreement here. Let's continue. Philippians 4 and3 teach the widows to be discreet and to respect the faith of Yahweh, praying continually for all men, being far away from slander, evil speaking, false witnessing, and every kind of evil. Knowing that they the widows are the altar of Yahweh and that nothing is hid from Yahweh. No reasoning or reflection nor any one of the secret things of the heart. What is Polycarp teaching here? Here's what he's teaching. In Israel, the altar is where the sacrifice was made, prayers ascended, and Yahweh approached. Polycarp is saying that godly widows, the ones of see a widow does not have to take care of her husband. Now she can turn her attention strictly to the ministry, the church. He said, "All widows are to turn their attention to the church and become the altars of Yahweh, continually praying like living altars, not caught up in slander and gossip.". And he said, "The widows are the altars of God. They continuously offer prayer. They're discreet in their faith. They pray continually for all people. They abstain from everything that I just mentioned. And they remember that Yahweh sees all, even the secrets of the heart. Now, do you know why at FHMI we take care of all of our widows? Now, do you understand. My I always say at the feast, get a house for the widows. Why? They're the altars of Yahweh. Mother Dot Simmons is an altar of Yahweh. They are to be treated. We're to always take care of the widows. Now, I'm not talking about those that are not following these precepts, but those women that are virtuous and of good report, and they're the altars of Yahweh, they better never go hungry. Oh. No. Do you know that they served and fed the widows? They that why in the do you know that Philip was ordained just to feed the widows? There's there never there. Better never be a widow. In this ministry go hungry. Reach out to your elder. Reach out. If you're a widow and you cannot go to the feast. Financially, you let your elder know. We'll get you there. Why? Now, there's some widows richer than me. But anyway, if you're not and you're struggling, we'll help you. And not if you're a little busybody widow, but if you're one of them alters of Yahweh, you've got my utmost respect.
* 01:24:32 Polycarp taught us to respect you. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I'm glad I'm following. So far, we're batting a hundred with Polycarp's teaching. Amen. Let's read Philippians. Uh well you don't have it but I'll read it. Philippians 5 and3 his letter to the Philippians. In like manner you young men be blameless in all things. I got any single men listening to me right now? Let Polycarp speak to you. Take care. This is Polycarp speaking of your purity before anything. Curb yourself from every temptation, for it is a good thing to refrain from lust, since every lust wars against the spirit. Neither fornicators, nor gay men, nor abusers of them. That's what affeminite means. I know what affeminite means. Little boys, nor abusers of themselves with mankind shall inherit the government of Yahweh, nor those who do things inconsistent and unbecoming. Do you know according to Polycarp, if you're inconsistent, you cannot govern with Christ if you're inconsistent? What is inconsistent? I'll tell you. In one week, out the next. On fire for God this week, depressed next week. Tithing this week, next week, robbing the tithe. You're inconsistent. You'll never make it. According to Polycarp, don't get mad at me. Get rid of your inconsistencies. Become consistent. Do you know why we go to church every Sabbath. Day? It's part of our consistency. Do do you know why we it's a con. There there is a quality of consistency that Polycarp is calling for us to have to enter the government of Yahweh. He told young men prioritize purity above all else to the young women. He says in Philippians 5:3, "The virgins, the young women must walk blameless and pure conscience.". Now, let's move on. Philippians 6 and1, let the elders be compassionate and merciful to all, bringing back those that wonder, visiting the sick, and not neglecting the widow, the orphan, or the poor, but always providing ing for that which is becoming in the sight of Yahweh and man. Polycarp just gave you the role of an elder. Compassion, mercy, not neglecting those in your care and special attention to the widows in your care, the orphans and the poor. And here's what else he says. Abstain from wrath, respect of person, unjust judgment, keeping far off from covetousness, not quickly crediting an evil report against anyone. Boy, that sounds like FHMI. Not quickly crediting an accusation against anyone. You want to see this pastor get upset? Break that protocol. Accept an accusation against anyone. He said, "Don't do it quickly.". This is what Polycarp said. When someone comes to you with an accusation, if you accept it quickly against anyone, you are not fit for the government of Christ. Polycarp rebukes you. And if Polycarp rebukes you, John rebukes you. And if John rebukes you, Christ rebukes you. And if Christ rebukes you, Yahweh rebukes you. Is this okay? Am I boring you tonight? >> Everybody good? >> Okay, >> I'm almost done. >> Philippians 6 and2. If we then ask Yahweh to forgive us, we ought also ourselves to forgive. For we are constantly before the eyes of our master and we must all appear at the judgment seat of the Messiah and must everyone give an account of himself. Now Philippians 7 and1 this is an interesting verse. For whosoever does not confess that Yesua the Messiah has come in the flesh is Antichrist. And whosoever does not confess the testimony of the cross is of the devil. I'm gonna tell you if that don't sound like a direct quote from John, his father in the Lord, who wrote that very same verse. >> First John 4:1. >> First John, that's his father in the Lord. Literally a mouthpiece. What did Irenaeus say about Polycarp? He taught only what the apostles taught. And one of the things he's teaching is that if you are a Gnostic and you believe that Yeshua began in a pre-existence and that he existed before he came in the flesh. And if you believe that he's more than flesh, you're antichrist. He taught what his father and the Lord taught. Philippians 7:1. And whosoever perverts the oracles of Yahweh to his own lust and says there is neither a resurrection nor a judgment. That person is the firstborn son of Satan. Pastor, I don't know of anybody. That's ever said that. Oh, yes you do. Everybody you know in Christianity. Said it. >> Can you repeat that again? >> I will. >> Thank you. And whoever perverts the oracles of Yahweh and says there is neither a resurrection. Nor a judgment is the firstborn son of Satan. >> Go a little before that because I'm trying to understand what you were like just like one before that please. >> The the verse before that. No. Where you said that like you said, okay, did I'm I'm trying to make sure I didn't misunderstand you. >> Okay. >> Because you Okay. Yeshua was God and he came to earth, but you're Did I misunderstand you that you said that you can't believe he's God and then comes to earth? I don't >> Yes, ma'am. So one of the greatest misunderstandings in Christianity is that God who is eternal who says in his Torah. He is not a man. Neither indeed can he be a man. Christianity teaches God became a man. The apostles never taught that. Polycarp is saying if anybody teaches you that Jesus Christ did not begin as a man but something else is antichrist. That's what John taught. That is apostolic truth. And that's why the Christian church has so messed up who Yeshua is. Yesua is the son of God. And the Bible said he began in his mother's womb in the flesh. In the early church, these people were already drifting from that truth. That's why Paul uh Paul and John said the spirit of Antichrist was already working. They were already making Yesua more than a man. And Polycarp said if anyone does that, that person is not worthy of the kingdom of God. Why? Because when we get to the next verse, brothers and sisters, when we start studying about the resurrection and the judgment, now let me pause for a second. Slow down because I realize I forget some people, some people's been with me five years. They they know everything I'm teaching. We have new people. Let me break this down. In the Christian church, we're taught that when we die, we go to heaven, we go to hell. One of the two. That is totally anti-scripture. The apostles taught that when we die, we go to sleep. We rest in peace until there's a resurrection and then a judgment. And at the judgment seat is when we are told, "Enter into the joy of the Lord or depart from me.". The Christian church doesn't believe in any of that. They don't believe in the resurrection and then a judgment. Because if you go to heaven when you die, you've already been judged. And if you go to hell when you die, you were already judged. Where's the resurrection? Where's the judgment? Polycarp said, "If anybody is not teaching resurrection first and then judgment, that's the firstborn son of Satan.". And I'm proud to say tonight, FHMI, we focus on the resurrection and the judgment, not the rapture and the escape and going to heaven and going to hell. We await resurrection and judgment. That means brothers and sisters, your pastor is teaching the teachings of Polycarp and the teachings of John and the apostles. And that's why he said anything else is a perversion. Do you know why the church does not teach the resurrection and a judgment? It makes no sense to their mind. Because if you're saved by grace and you're automatically saved, why do you need a judgment? Come on now. If you're saved and that's all there is to it, why do you need a judgment? Let's go ahead and ship you to heaven. After all, you're saved or you're lost. Why do we need a judgment? And if we don't need a judgment, we don't need a resurrection. We just send you to heaven or hell. Does anybody see the travesty of that doctrine? According to Polycarp, you are the son of the Antichrist. If you're preaching that, that's powerful words. For those of you that have heard this truth come from this microphone about what happens to the dead, those of you that have the book on your counter and you still hadn't read it, that's because you don't care about truth. The truth you've received here is more precious than gold or silver. >> Hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. >> It truly is. We are bringing you out of that darkness and we're teaching the resurrection and the judgment. Philippians 7:2. My time is gone. I'm almost done. Wherefore forsake the vanity of many. Listen, listen to this. If this isn't FHMI, I don't know what is. Forsake the vanity of the many and their false doctrines. Let us return to the word which has been handed down to us from the apostles and from the beginning. What is the beginning? Torah. Hallelujah. He said, "Forsake the vanity of the many.". And their false doctrines and return. This is Polycarp. >> That's FHMI >> all the way. Return to the beginning. What is the voice of Elijah going to get you all to do? Turn. Did you hear that word? Turn to the fathers. The beginning. The Torah. Hallelujah. >> Pastor. >> Uhhuh. I'm sorry to interrupt. Isn't this all too before any of the epistles were written? Like Philippians was really the first Philippians.
* 01:38:44 >> Well, you >> you get what I'm saying? >> I got you. I'm with you. I'm with you. Yes, ma'am. You're right about that. You're right. This is all before there was a Bible. Yes, definitely. Amen. And brothers and sisters, this book of Philippians is as close to the apostles as you can get. I want to read to you Philippians 8:1. And I I I think that's it. I believe maybe one more after that, but anyway, let's read this one. Philippians 8:1. Let us then continuously persevere in our hope and the earnest of our righteousness, which is Yesua, the Messiah, who bore our sins in his own body on the tree, who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth, but endured all things that we might live in him. Polycarp Yoshu taught that Yeshua had a body. He bore sin in that body. He died on a tree. He didn't say the cross. He was sinless and he endured for us and we live in him. And then in Philippians 8:2, let us then be imitators of his patience. If we suffer for his name's sake, let us glorify him. For this is the example which he gave us in his own person. And that is what we have believed. And and I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I I've got to read this one. Oh, I got to read this one. Uh. Philippians 11. And1. He said, "I am deeply grieved for valance.". Holly Karp was heartbroken over a man named Valins who was once an elder among us because he understood so little of the honor that had been given him. I exhort you, abstain from covetousness that you be chasteed and truthful. Abstain from covetousness. Who was Valance? An elder under the ministry of Polycarp in Polycarp's church. Polycarpon made him an elder. Something happened to Valance called covetousness. He wanted more than was given to him. Polycarp said, "I'm grieved over what happened to Valins. He left us.". I don't know why we get upset when elders leave us. They left Polycarp because of covetousness. They didn't want anybody ruling over them. And we know that because Valins left. Have you heard me all night mention the Valentinians? Valins took half of Polycarp's church and started the Valentinians because after all, they thought Polycarp was a man just like them. And the Polycarp said, "I'm grieved over this.". And he said in verse two, "If a man cannot govern himself, how shall he govern others? If a man does not keep himself from covetousness, wanting more than has has been given to him, he will be defiled by idolatry and will be judged as one of the heathens. Verse four, I'm deeply grieved, therefore, brethren, for him and his wife, and here's what he said. But may Yahweh grant them true repentance and be then moderate in regard to this matter. And listen to what Polycarp said about Valance. Listen, this is a true man of Yahweh. I wish you could see what I'm reading. I I should have made graphics on it. He said, "Do not count them who? Valance and his wife. Do not count them as enemies, but call them back as suffering and straying members that we may save the whole body.". Here's what he said. I'm grieved over Valins, but I'll never ever. Let. Valins be an enemy to me ever. He said, I'm grieved over him, but here's what we're going to do. We're just going to keep calling them back. Now, Valins never came back. According to all we know, but all but guess what? Polycarp never stopped calling him back. He said, "We're not turning them into enemies. We're going to call them back by faith that the body might be whole. Hallelujah. So, I'm going to take Polycarp's advice and we're just going to believe for that. Hallelujah. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Father. And finally, finally, Pol uh uh Philippians 12. And2. Now, this is the scripture I want you to pay attention to. This is what FHMI preaches. But may Yahweh, the father of our master, Yeshua, the Messiah, and Yeshua. The Messiah himself, who is the son of Yahweh and our high priest. May they both build you up in faith and truth. And may they bestow on you a lot and a portion among his saints. Not one mention of the Holy Spirit, not one. He said, "May Yahweh and our master his Messiah.". Do you see? You see, Polycarp knew who Yeshua was. And he knew who Yahweh was. He'd never heard of the Holy Spirit. That was nowhere in his writings. He knew Yahweh was the Holy Spirit. And therefore, he tells us in this verse, FHMI, when I teach you that there's two. When I teach you, I'm teaching you the words of Polycarp. You're safe here. We're teaching you directly from the apostolic era, the truth. He tells you that Yesua is the son of Yahweh and our. He don't say our. God, he says our high priest. I'm done. Thank you for joining me tonight. I love you all. May the peace of Yahweh be upon you. May his face shine upon you in the name of Yesua. Shabbat shalom, children. We love you all. Much love everyone. >> Renee Moore, >> Renee Moore had her hand up. Go right ahead, sister Renee. I'm sorry. >> There were two books on Polycarp and the Philippians. Summary
This Zoom Bible Study traces the true apostolic line after John through Polycarp, Papias, and the Quartodeciman remnant. It contrasts the false Roman line with the Asian churches and argues that Yahweh preserved truth through Ephraim-like “much fruit” witnesses scattered among the nations. The study emphasizes Passover on the 14th day, the Petalon as legitimate authority, Polycarp’s confrontation with Marcion and Rome, and the continuity between Polycarp’s doctrines and FHMI’s restoration message.
