Professor Toto's Review of "Sound Of Freedom"
Shane Vaughn ——— First Harvest Ministries International
1 hello everybody good evening welcome it's late at night and I've just returned along with 50 members of our local church watching the movie The Sound of freedom and I'd like to give you my review of the movie and maybe a unique perspective that maybe you haven't thought about so whenever you watch this movie here's what's going to happen to you you're going to leave the the theater with uh a feeling of hopelessness okay let me explain I always knew that sex trafficking was real but I always knew it way in the back of my mind like many of you when you watch sound of Freedom it's going to go
2 from the back of your mind to the fore it's going to go to the very front of your mind and you're going to watch the movie and you're going to be heartbroken you're going to be sad and then you're going to be mad and then at the end when it's over you're going to sit there and say okay what can I do what can I do to make a difference and you start trying to think who can I send money to um I cannot go and jump on an island like this man did Tim Ballard I can't go and jump on an island and rescue these children by the way sister Denisa Eaton pointed out to me that this island was a
3 representation of Epstein's Island the lady that was taking these children her name was Giselle in the movie and it was all happening on an island but anyway so you're going to you're going to come to the end of the movie with oh my God but then the sadness turns into hopelessness despair because what can we do okay we can tell people about the movie great I've already done that I'm sending my mother and my sister I'm getting tickets for them to go watch it we want to support the movie but all the way home tonight I'm like what can I do what can I do and it was then that I began to ruminate on
4 this movie contemplated and there was something about the movie that kept telling me the answer is in the movie the solution to child sex trafficking is in the movie it's glaring and yet you didn't see it so I began to think about to every scene and then I don't want to talk to you that you don't have to feel hopeless after watching that movie the hope to stop child sex trafficking was given to you in the movie actually in the very first scenes in this movie the father takes his two children and literally hands them to their captors now I'm not here to blame the father but I'm telling you the
5 message on how to stop this is in that very first scene I I kept thinking to myself the minute he knocked on room 204 and gave them his children but I said out loud Over My Dead Body these children were given away into the hands of their captors now I realize that it's not always the case like that but in this particular movie the fault the fault where does it really lie with uninvolved distracted parents I believe the solution the child sex trafficking is get a hold of your children and never let them out of your sight there is a solution there is a solution and that solution is called
6 parenting that solution is called being aggressive with your children taking control of their life and oversight and and and yes being involved in their constant care we have become too we have become two lackadaisical with our children we turn them over to the schools we turn them over to their sports activities anything to give us a break from our children anything so that we can now listen folks I'm talking about in this particular movie the fault I find the truth is the truth a father that gave his children to the Beast listen to me carefully the solution is not in giving money and it's
7 not in going to the islands and rescuing them somebody will do that I can't you can't somebody will do that but the solution get your children and be a parent again be a grandparent again get so involved in their life that you drive them insane get so involved in their life that your eyeballs are their constant Guardians and I believe that's the solution I know it's not the one you probably wanted to hear about it is the only solution we must return to caring for our children enough to get off of our phones enough to turn off the TV and get back involved in their lives and you know I know a
8 family in Michigan they have 10 children the other one has seven eight children those children don't even get out of their sight to go to Sunday school if the children go in the church children's church the parents go in there with them that that extreme maybe you think so but all their children are in their beds tonight ladies and gentlemen gentlemen I always try to tell you the truth and I know this may not be what you thought you wanted to hear but when I watched the movie those two children would not have been in that position with a parent that was on guard there is hope for child sex
9 trafficking it's called Mama and daddy involved completely involved of course the enemy could still snatch them off the street I suppose but it would sure make it a lot harder wouldn't it amen so anyway that is my perspective there is hope for our children and it's me and you it's involved parents God bless you thanks for watching Professor Toto will be live tomorrow night Tuesday night at eight Central I'll see you then bye-bye
Summary
Professor Toto reviews the film 'Sound of Freedom' and argues that while the movie effectively raises awareness about child sex trafficking, the real solution lies not in rescue operations or monetary donations but in active, engaged parenting. He contends that the root cause of child vulnerability to trafficking is parental neglect and distraction, and emphasizes that constant parental oversight, involvement, and presence in children's lives is the primary defense against exploitation.
