Summary
This teaching interprets Samson as a prophetic shadow of the end-time man child described in Revelation 12. Samson was born while the Philistines ruled Israel and was called to deliver Israel from their control. His Nazarite hair represented the covenant and Torah that distinguished him and supplied his strength. When he abandoned that distinction, he became weak and captive; when his hair grew again, he brought down the structure of Philistine power. The teaching applies this pattern to the restoration of Yahweh’s covenant among His people and the eventual fall of Babylonian religious systems. The woman clothed with the sun in Revelation 12 is identified as natural Israel. She travails to give birth to Remnant Israel—the one new man who will ultimately help deliver the woman who produced him. The dragon attempts to devour this covenant seed through distraction, deception, and opposition. Nevertheless, the man child is brought to spiritual maturity, develops a throne mentality, and prepares to rule the nations. Believers must therefore learn to govern their own emotions, appetites, tongues, desires, and responses before they can participate in Kingdom government. Romans 8 is connected to Revelation 12 through the image of creation and Israel travailing for deliverance. That deliverance awaits the manifestation of Yahweh’s mature children. Ephesians 4 explains how this maturity is produced: Yahshua gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to perfect the saints, equip them for ministry, edify the body, and bring them into the unity of the faith and the measure of a perfect man. This mature corporate body is identified with the man child, the first resurrection, and those who will rule with Yahshua in the coming Kingdom.
