beautiful Sabbath day I'm coming to you from the state of Florida where it's about 70° outside perfect weather beautiful day and I just greet every one of you our friends around the world this is Shane Von with first Harvest Ministries bringing to you a bible study this morning that I pray will transform your thinking before we start this Bible study uh we want to remind you of our Minister's many friends in the Christian world that simply do not understand us they don't understand who we are or what our religion is or you know I have so many friends I grew up in the Pentecostal church I am third or fourth generation p I'm fourth generation 4 Pentecostal and um I have so many Pentecostal friends that they love us and we love them but they just not quite sure of what we're doing and who we are anymore um it's funny I was at a family vacation a few weeks ago in Aspen Colorado with my mother and my aunt and my sister and my niece and my sister kept I could see she wanted to ask a question she was looking at me uh and and she didn't know quite how to ask it and uh so finally she said Shane um or Bubba whatever she called me she said so what is y'all's religion 5 now um my aunt Joy was there she's Apostolic Pentecostal and um and man when that you know that's a loaded question because people if they come and be in service with us they can't deny that we're Pentecostal from head to toe we love to have good Holy Ghost Church and uh you know we enjoy live ly worship and exuberant praise so they they see that part of us and they know that we're Pentecostal but then they're like but then they see a a prayer Shaw around our shoulder or they see a toite or a manora which is the Candlestick sitting on the pull pit and they're like but what kind 6 of Pentecostals are you folks well I want to explain to you this morning who we are and what we're doing that way we can make maybe help you to understand that we possibly have not lost our marbles first of all we are a spirit filled group of ministers across the world that are beginning to understand that the modern Church looks nothing like the original church and that's a fact that nobody can deny uh about 400 years years after Christ died and after all the apostles died off the church began to change so I want to explain to you today what I want to answer some of your 7 questions of what what religion are we it's confusing my Pentecostal Brethren and friends they they like brother Von what what religion are y'all Judaism or no we are not into Judaism we are not into Judaism whatsoever We Are Holy Ghost filled Apostolic commandment keeping Believers and that's the bottom line now when I say Apostolic a lot of people get confused they think we're talking about the denomination the apostolic denomination but we're not we're speaking about the apostles the original Apostles in the Bible we try to teach what they taught we try to do what they did and that would make you Apostolic now so with that said a lot of 8 people you know they're they they think that we've gone to Judaism we've gone back to the law because in fact we do keep the Sabbath day um and you know my grandfather brother Marvin Terrell uh he's gone on to his reward God Rest his soul but you know I I never realized that he believed in the Sabbath day but he had church every Saturday for 40 years um and and which it Saturday is the Sabbath day there's nobody listening to me right now nobody none of you that can deny that Saturday is the 7th day of the week the Sabbath day is the seventh day of the week so Sunday is not the 9 seventh day of the week and Sunday is not the Sabbath day Sunday is the first day of the week and that is not the day that God or Yahweh called holy so let me start right there the modern church the church that you go to the church that I've gone to looks nothing and I will rephrase this it looks nothing like at all like the original Apostolic Church uh I could start with many things first of all the modern church if you say the name Yahweh in the modern Church they will look at you like you have literally got ice cream for brains and the sad thing is had you been 10 part of the original church that's the name you would have heard is Yahweh what is the name Yahweh that is God's name the the Father the Creator the one that uh that we call God you remember Paul talked about talked to the a group of people and he said you worship a God that you know nothing about well I found out for years I had worshiped a God and I did not even know his name his name is Yahweh that is the Hebrew word for him so I'm trying to make you think this morning I want you to understand who we are and and all we're trying to do is 11 return to the original faith of the Apostles so had you walked in a Church in the early days you would have heard the name Yahweh on everyone's lips but Satan is very cunning he's very good at what he does and in your Bible if you will notice in your Bible you will never see the name Yahweh why is that because Satan is good at what he does there was a decision made by the translators to take the name Yahweh out of the Bible and replace it with the capital words of l r d Lord so go look through your Bible right now and find the word Lord if it's in 12 capital letters that word is not in the original Bible the original transcripts the name Yahweh was there but it was replaced by manmade ideas so whenever you hear us say the name Yahweh and you think we're so strange it could be that you're the strange one we're repeating the original and of course many times the original does look strange now another name that you would have heard in the early original Apostolic church is the name yosua now yua is the Son of God now you know him by the English word Jesus and I knew him by that name all my life and I thank God for that name I do not 13 criticize it in any way but if you would have been walking down the streets of Jerusalem 2,000 years ago and you would have screamed out Jesus no one would have known who you were talking about and he definitely wouldn't have known because his name was yahua he came in his father's name his father is yahwe well he came in yahua which is Yahweh is my salvation so these two names would have been in the original Church your church knows nothing about it unfortunately because your church has been changed how did this change happen well before I answer that question let me let me tell you one more thing that you would have 14 seen in the original church had you shown up on Sunday there would have been no one at the original Church they went to worship on Saturday which was the Sabbath day now Brothers you go to a church that tells you the Sabbath day is done away with well that churches lying to you they lied to me they didn't know any better and and I don't judge them I don't criticize them because the Bible says we have inherited lies from our fathers so inherited lies many times we don't realize their lies but they are lies nonetheless but we are living in a time now before the coming of the 15 Messiah where these lies are being revealed and the truth is coming forth like the Noonday Sun so in our faith yes we're still Pentecostal yes we're still holy ghost filled yes we're still all of those things but we are adding to our faith the knowledge of more truth and we're returning to that truth so how did all of this get messed up oh I'm going to answer that right now but before I do let me tell you you one more thing that you would have seen in the original Apostolic church had you walked into their church after the service was over on Sabbath morning they would have all 16 fellowshipped together and had food together and do you know what you would not have seen on any of those tables you wouldn't have seen any pork you wouldn't have seen any unclean food no sir you see 60 years after Christ Di died they still ate no unclean food and we don't either many people criticize us for that they think we've returned to Judaism no my friends before there was ever anything known as a Jew there was unclean animals oh if you don't believe it go to the Book of Genesis where Yahweh tells Noah to bring unclean animals to of every kind and put them on the ark there 17 was not a Jew in existence when Yahweh made that command unclean animals and unclean food uh is is biblical I can prove this to you in the Book of Revelation when yua Returns the Bible says that the unclean Birds would gather the buzzards he still calls them unclean there will still be unclean animals when yua returns now so the big question is how did all of this get messed up the simple truth is this the more you get away from the original the more diluted and polluted Things become when a when you go to the headstream of a river the further it flows Downstream the dirtier that River 18 gets well the further Christianity flows Downstream from Jerusalem the original Apostolic Faith the dirtier it got and then the Catholic Church oh yes oh yes the mother Harlot system be uh they hated the Jews I'm going to make that as plain as I can now the the Catholic church was anti-semites they hated the citic people the Jewish people they thought that they had killed our Lord but they didn't understand that Yahweh allowed them to do that for a reason so they hated the Jews they didn't want anything to do with anything that looked Jewish so the pope of Rome Pope Gregory outlawed the Sabbath day he forbade the 19 Christians to keep the Sabbath day because it was too Jewish and then of course as the church began to change it looked nothing like the original Apostolic church now I said all of that to say this if you go in your Bibles to 1 Peter chap 2 and verse 12 Peter talks about something that is very important in second Peter chap 2 and verse 12 Peter talks about something called present day truth now he talked about being established in the present truth now it's funny that he didn't say truth he said present truth because in fact there are many truths that are being restored to us in the 20 present day they were always truth but we didn't know it was truth until the present day we are living in the hours just before the coming of yua and in this hour we are promised that there would be a great restoration of truth truth that had been lost down through these ages is being returned to the hungry those that desire to know truth now there are many of you listening to me you don't desire to know truth you desire to just know Jesus well let me explain something to you if you don't love truth you can't love Jesus because he said I am the truth he if you 21 don't have a passion for truth if your passion is going to church on Sunday hearing a good song and hearing A good sermon and going home without any further study of his word my friend you are missing out so I want you to in your Bibles in that same chapter and I want you to follow me in 1 Peter chapter 2 now I cannot read the verses to you because I happen to be driving down the dangerous highways right now and I better not read amen but I will quote it to you to the best of my ability but you need to do a Bible study today of second Peter 22 chapter 2 and when you get to verse two you'll find out that Peter Peter talks about a knowledge of God and Jesus Christ now sadly uh well I better not get into that right now but there's a difference in the father and the son and he said you need to know that difference and he talks about the knowledge of God and the knowledge of Jesus Christ or yua in the original Bible Jesus was nowhere in it it would have been Yu but we've already talked about that haven't we well he said you definitely need a knowledge of God and many of you listening to me right now you've got a 23 knowledge of God you know God well H you just don't want to know his name it's Yahweh but anyway you've got a knowledge of God and you've got a knowledge of Jesus Christ and that's a good thing oh that's a wonderful thing amen but we're going to find as we go down to verse 5 of of second Peter chapter 2 he says but you know what you need more than to know Jesus and to know God you need more than that and I want to talk to you right now about what more you need than just the knowledge because i' I've never met anybody I don't think maybe one or two 24 that would say they don't want to know God they don't want to know Jesus you know unless they're just a a pure idiot but otherwise everybody uh says yeah brother V I know Jesus I'm saved I gave my heart to Christ and and that's good oh that's wonderful but here's what Peter said in verse 5 he said yes you've got faith but he said you need to add to that Faith now he said in verse 5 you need to add Faith you need to add virtue to that Faith but then he said you need to add knowledge amen and brothers and sisters I'm going to say something right now that's going 25 to sound cruel but alas that's sort of my reputation I suppose Christians oh Lord help me to say this real sweet real nice like Christians are dumb Christians are dumb Christians are dumb ignorant I didn't say stupid I said ignorant ignorant is not a bad word I'm going to tell you why the Muslims are taking over the world that's some of the smartest people you will ever meet those people know their faith inside and out and they will eat your lunch if you're a Christian because I'm going to tell you something they got they will take your Bible and show you where it contradicts itself they won't 26 do it to me I promise you but they'll do it to a lot of Christians because you don't want knowledge you just want to have good church you just want to put butts on a Pew this Sunday and fill it up and act like you got a growing Church baby what you've got a growing Nursery bunch of babies on milk sucking the same milk for 30 years Peter said add to your faith knowledge with all of your getting get understanding of your faith I can prove in 30 seconds that you don't know your Bible you don't want to know it I'll prove to you when I go to 27 Pentecostal churches that I love I can't even really teach the word of God and Paul talks about that he talked he told the galatian he said I can't teach you the meat because all you want to do is is is hear how much God loves you he said you don't want to hear how you're supposed to love God you want to hear how God loves you and that's all you want to hear you want to hear how God's got a blessing waiting on you you want to hear milk it's all you want you want somebody to motivate you oh I'm so sick of motivational preaching my God the Bible said 28 encourage your your self in the Lord when you go to the house of God it's to get corrected it's to get knowledge and understanding of the Mysteries of the word of God bunch of these churches grow is nothing but nurseries get add you add more people in the nursery but Peter said add to your faith knowledge do you know why the Jehovah's Witnesses is the fast growing segment of Christianity outpacing even the Pentecostals do you know why do you know why in every town in America there's a Kingdom Hall do you know why because they've got more knowledge and they're teaching their people sadly they got more truth than 29 the Pentecostal churches have oh yes they do they realize the kingdom of God's coming to Earth nobody's going to heaven they've got more knowledge of the father and the son that trust me now I hate that they don't have the baptism of the Holy Ghost but I promise you one thing they've added knowledge to their faith and people are going to learn I'm going to tell all of you churches that have built your church on emotions and music you need to sit your queer choir director down and your queer praise and worship leaders you need to sit them down and get you a Bible teacher and shorten I'm going to tell 30 you something these churches I preach in they take an hour and 15 minutes in worship and praise and then the preacher has to beg the people and for and to forgive him for preaching over 30 minutes I'm going to tell all of you something don't get me to your church to preach cuz honey I preach three hours absolutely and if I preach less than two hours I feel like I've robbed God's people oh brother Von it don't take that long it takes me an hour to get you to unlearn what the church has taught you and then it takes me two hours to retach you see that's why 30 minute sermons 31 worked in the old church cuz you already knew everything that was said you could tell what the preacher was going to say but before he said it oh y'all know I'm telling the truth you know I'm telling you the truth you was saying Amen to that dumb stuff over and over and over and over you could preach the sermon before the preacher preached it that's why it takes me three hours to preach a sermon to get the people to unlearn what we've learned Paul Peter said add to your faith knowledge and understanding the problem is all of you's got faith but you've not added knowledge you don't 32 want any knowledge unless it's your particular brand of knowledge you know why because knowledge is very threatening to us we're scared of being wrong do you know everybody listening to me right now do you know what your greatest fear is I'm going to tell you you're not going to like it but I'm going to tell you anyway you don't have fear of anything greater than the fear of being wrong that's right every one of you listening to me is scared to death of being wrong about anything because if you can be wrong about one thing that opens up the whole possibility that you could be wrong 33 about everything and brother that scares a human to death because you cannot afford for your house of cards to crumble so to keep that from happening you have to ignore people like me when we come to preach to you you you have to ignore us you totally have to not even listen because we get you to thinking and honey the last thing the modern Church want you to do is think no no no they don't want you to think they want you to come pay your ties and be good little sheep but they don't want you to think because the moment you think you start asking 34 questions and questions equals rebellion in the mind of the modern church so they don't want you asking any questions baby I love questions here's why questions leads us to the truth and if you're not asking questions it's because you love being dumb the Bible said in all of your getting get understanding so back to 2 Peter 2 and verse 5 he said add to open your Bible and read second Peter the whole chapter he said add to your faith knowledge you need knowledge if you go to a church that's been an hour and a half in praise and worship but 30 minutes in a sermon baby you're sitting smack dab in 35 the middle of a nursery I think I'll just let that sit set simmer a little bit you need knowledge Brothers now let's continue what else did he say we need to add to our knowledge he said you need to add Temperance and then he said you need to add patience see now there's many of you listening to me you've been getting knowledge oh yeah you smarter than everybody but the problem is you you you got to add some more stuff to that knowledge he said now you need to add patience oh really yeah you got to add patience to all of those people that don't have your knowledge that's right 36 amen and I failed in that area many times you see I began adding to my knowledge in 2009 and honey I came out kicking and screaming and and knocking down everybody that didn't have my knowledge about some of these wonderful truths and I killed a lot of people uh trying to share this knowledge you know my God if you didn't keep the Sabbath day I wouldn't even go to church on something look but he said once you get your knowledge then you need to add patience to that knowledge and I failed in that area but thank God I've learned that patience that's right I can go to church with you 37 any day of the week you want to go but I won't give up the Sabbath for nobody I've learned to have patience I can go in some of these churches and preach 30 minut minutes if that's all they allow I've learned to have patience with those that don't understand this message you got to add to your knowledge patience Brothers you got to have patience with those that that they're not picking up what you're teaching don't think they're against what you're teaching it's just not their time yet so just keep on teaching keep on doing what God's revealed to you add patience to your knowledge oh and then 38 he said you need to add godliness and then he said you need to add something else to all that knowledge you need to add kindness oh God help us Lord he said you need to add kindness wow what a challenge that is it's hard to do brothers because you get so let me tell you why some of us have had a problem with being kind because people mock us they make fun of us because we keep the Sabbath day and we we call him by his original name and and they they're cruel to us and it's so hard we want to come out kicking and screaming and defend 39 ourself but that's where we make a mistake May the Holy Spirit help us to add kindness to our knowledge help us to be kind even to religious people I've had people say about me brother V's going off on the deep end well isn't that the best swimming out in the deep end Hallelujah so naturally I want to come out with the word of God and prove them all and show them why I preach what I preach and that's okay okay to do that but we got to add kindness to it may Yahweh help us to add kindness to our knowledge the next thing he said is we 40 need to add brotherly love you see those that don't understand this message we preach they're still my brothers oh yeah they have faith in yua they're still my brothers many of you listening to me right now you don't understand everything that we teach but I'm still your brother oh yes I'm your brother in Christ I'm I'm your brother and you got to treat me with brotherly kindness so many of you listening you just want to judge what you don't understand but Peter said add to your knowledge brotherly kindness and some of you Sabbath day preachers out there that's got all this knowledge you're missing out on brotherly 41 kindness because you forget those men that's in Babylon that's your brothers oh yeah what did Yahweh say come out of Babylon my people that's his people stuck in Babylon you better treat them like your brothers you better remember that's the children of Yahweh don't take your knowledge and turn it into a sword but rather turn it into a trumpet and call them out of Babylon add to your knowledge brotherly love and here's what Peter said in verse 10 go down to verse 10 he said if you do these things you'll never fall see there's some of you listening I know a brother right now I can't say his name got all the 42 knowledge in the world but he's back sliden today you know why he didn't add to his knowledge brotherly love love he came into my church and and tried to cause great damage with all of his knowledge but no brotherly love you got to have brotherly love with this knowledge and he said Peter said if you'll do that you'll never fall read second Peter 2 and verse1 he said if you add to your faith knowledge see you can't just have faith folks you can't just have the baptism of the Holy Ghost you got to have knowledge but you can't just have knowledge you got to have kindness and 43 brotherly love he said if you add all of these things you will never fall what a promise that is today you'll never backslide if you've got faith if you've got knowledge of truth if you've got uh brotherly love and kindness and charity you'll never fall oh what a promise now now I want to close with Proverbs 4:18 what a beautiful scripture it is it says the path of the just is like the sun it's like a glorious light that shines more and more unto the perfect day that's why I titled this lesson The House of the Rising Sun we are the house of Israel and did you know that the the 44 path that we are on it's a path of a Rising Sun every day more and more light is shining upon our path like the perfect day until the perfect day for example when you look out your window about 5: in the morning you'll begin to see a little light you'll look out over the horizon and you'll see the the the the the greeting of the early light as it begins to shine and man what a wonderful sight you're rejoicing you've seen the light oh but you haven't seen all of it no no no you just saw a little glimmer and then in a few minutes you 45 think You' here comes some more light and then in a few minutes there comes some more light and as you look more and more light begins to come and then finally the noon day sun is shining and it's So Glorious that there's you see everything so clearly well that's the way it was when I saw the truth of one God and then I saw the truth of the Sabbath day and I thought man I've got the truth but then I saw the truth of the holy days and then I thought man I've got the truth and then I saw the truth of of so many other wonderful things that have 46 come to us every day but you see you make a mistake when you say I have the truth no the sun is still Rising on the house of Israel and every day it will shine more and more and more on your path you make a great mistake when you put your blindfold on and you say I've seen the light oh no keep looking keep looking and every day he'll teach you more and more our ministry at first harvest Ministry is not afraid of more light and more truth I'm afraid some of you are you've put on your blinders oh yeah it might be Catholic blindfold 47 it might be Baptist blindfolds it might be Pentecostal blindfolds it might be Methodist blindfolds I tell you look children there's more light shining in this day we're coming into present day truth the light is shining more and more and more will you look into the Noonday sun and would you tell the father I want every ounce of truth if I've got if I don't have enough truth shine more light on my path so I can walk in the perfect day May Yahweh bless you and keep you that's my prayer
