September 4, 2017 - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnL-sh_C7_0 Transcript: (00:01) hello everyone I'm Shane vongh with first Harvest Ministries and I have a message from my heart that I want to share with all of those that claim to love the work of God now we prefer to use the name Yahweh which is the proper name for the god of Israel Satan would love nothing more than to destroy the last day work of God but you know what he's powerless to do that he does not have the Weaponry nor the skills to make that happen but he's learned a few Battle Tactics over the centuries that served him well he's (00:44) learned that he cannot do it but if he can get some inside people isn't that the Battle Tactics of some of the greatest warriors in the world you find inside people and you go to work on them and then they do the work for you Satan will never destroy God's work but he can use you to slow it down do you know how he does that he has no hands he has no ears no eyes as we have them he does not operate in the physical sense he needs your mouth your hands and your thinking to bring his work into the Church of the Living Yahweh brothers and sisters we (01:29) are living in an hour that I thought I would never see there's an awakened fear among the American people of nuclear war just 10 years ago we would have laughed at such a statement the world was at peace but today there's a madman and he's got the Arsenal he's proven it to begin World War II on our planet I don't say that to alarm or to scare I say that to make you start thinking Satan knows that yua the battle that's going to be fault between him and yua in this last day he knows the stage must be set for World War I why because (02:16) our ministry has taught for many years that Yeshua will return during a nuclear war we prove that from Matthew 24 and I won't go into that lesson today you can subscribe to our YouTube channel entitled first Harvest Ministries and look at our study on the coming of the Lord but before that day comes he must get God's people against one another and he does that through the oldest trick in the book the spirit of offense that's exactly right he desires to destroy through the spirit of offense few weeks ago I asked those that are (03:04) part of our ministry here in Waveland Mississippi on Friday night I said turn to your neighbor I was teaching on the spirit of offense and I said tell your neighbor you cannot offend me I then said tell everyone I cannot be offended I will not be offended I will never be offended and of course everyone spoke those words prophetically and we declared that to be because I was teaching the Saints how easy it is to get offended I remember telling them that night remember the words I just had you to say don't ever forget them little did (03:44) I know it was a prophetic declaration but it is here is how that Spirit works it begins with a seed the seed is someone does you wrong you find out about it you Earth of the Great Vine and that little seed that someone Did You Wrong begins to fester in your mind and maybe they did you wrong and maybe they are guilty and your human nature ah there goes that human nature your human nature wants them to know and everyone else to know that they've offended you that Spirit begins to grow till all of a sudden your vision becomes blurred by (04:36) the spirit of offense and you begin to see that person or that Ministry or that man or that woman through the lens of the offense and now all of a sudden there's nothing good left in that person all you see is that little offense has turned them into something that they're not they may not even know they offended you they may not even realize they did you wrong but you are bound by that Spirit now what begins to happen is it takes root and now you begin to share that offense with other people in your circle Satan is busy he's good at this it's the (05:22) oldest trick in the book and yet we fall for it I want to say this to you that are watching me please quit making the devil's job easy if he's going to destroy the ministry or the church or the work of God make him fight for it for God's sake make him do it without your help don't let him recruit you into his battle plans against the end time work make him fight for it but no he knows all he's got to do is get you offended and you'll do the fighting for him you'll do the tell bearing for him you'll spread the cancer for him through (06:04) the body of [Music] Messiah the Holy Ghost is the only thing that can help you it is the only place where you get Supernatural power to overcome that spirit of offense and choose to be done wrong choose to forget about it choose to find something good about that person that did you wrong and focus on the good it's your choice or you can let that cancer eat you and your church up your family up or you can let it go I want to tell you a quick story about a man that got offended he was the greatest Prophet that ever lived his (06:46) name was John the Baptist he was the cousin of Yeshua or Jesus as many people know him as and this cousin introduced the Messiah to the whole world he told the whole world this is the greatest man since sliced bread this is an anointed messenger of Yahweh this is the son of Yahweh this is the voice of the of this generation this is the work of God he affirmed this man's Ministry but some months later he got offended greatest Prophet that ever lived I want to show you you how good Satan is at what he does the greatest Prophet that ever (07:35) lived some months later is now doubting and even beginning to attack the very Ministry that he was born to support why he got offended at Yeshua yep he went to jail for preaching the gospel of yua and telling Herod that he was in adultery and he went to jail and you know he just imagined in his mind that his Pastor or his leader the ministry he was working with would be there to check on him would least come to visit him in jail but you see yeshua's time was short he was called on a mission that mission was to preach to the Lost tribes (08:26) of Israel repent for the kingdom of Yahweh is approaching that was his calling not to babysit not to stop and get distracted by life and the things that happen in life no he had a mission so much so that he was late for lazarus's funeral and they got offended see you can get offended so easy John sent a message to his Pastor to his leader here's what John said hey I thought you was a man of Yahweh I thought you was the messenger and look what you've done to me are you really who I thought you were or are you somebody else and I do I need (09:17) to look for another leader now because you've offended me yua didn't get he didn't get mad at John he didn't call him a bunch of names he understood how that Spirit works and he overcame that spirit with this one reply Hallelujah he said guys go tell John the Baptist that the blind see the deaf ears are open tell him that those that were bound are being set free remind him of what's important and remind him it's not his feelings that are important it's the work it's this work right here these written messages (10:06) that we're sending out the gospel that we're preaching the preparation that we're doing for the kingdom of God that is what I'm here to do yua said and John immediately was healed of that spirit of offense by remembering what was important the only way you're going to get over the spirit of offense brother and sister is to remember this the king is coming the kingdom of Yahweh is about to be established on planet Earth there's a One World Government coming and it's not the Antichrist no it's the real Christ the Messiah he's coming to (10:49) set up his government and it's going to be ruled by some of you that are supposed to be in training right now of how to govern you're a government in training and some of you act like you're a gang in training turning against one another Satan doesn't have a cell phone Satan doesn't have secret Facebook groups to work through he needs you to create them he needs you to dial the number he needs you to tell the person on the other end well this is what he done to me that's what he need he needs everybody to make his job better and easier but (11:33) you know what I believe there's people watching me right now you're going to make a choice at this moment the holy spirit is dwell is dealing with you you're going to make a choice right now to stop stop remember what's important remember who you affirmed earlier as being a man or woman of God who you said that's my brother and that's my sister history and today they're Devils no no they're not you've allowed an offense to blur your vision I call on the body of Messiah around the world especially those of you in this (12:16) end time commandment keeping government preparing message Satan is coming in getting us divided over doctrines getting us divided on over terminology and and expressions and it is working so beautifully I beg you stop it quit working for the enemy your family are those of us that's about this work we're all preaching one message the king is coming prepare you to meet him whether you've got your godhead just right whether you know how to explain Trinity Oneness binar whe whe you know how to explain uh the proper way to keep (13:02) the Sabbath none of that should divide [Music] us let the ruach cadesh stop you today remind you the blind are beginning to see those that are in Babylon are hearing a glorious message they're coming out now because of the work we've done together I beg you around the world whatever Church you're a member of whatever Ministry God's planted you in get behind that work in closing when they begin to rebuild the walls of Israel sand ballot did everything in his power to get Nehemiah to come down off of that wall hey come visit me my feelings have (13:52) been hurt or hey everything he could say to get Summary

In his September 4, 2017 message, Pastor Shane Vaughn warns believers about the destructive influence of what he calls the spirit of offense. He begins by discussing the spiritual opposition facing God's end-time work. Vaughn argues that Satan often operates through the attitudes and actions of believers rather than through direct attacks. He explains how an offense begins with a perceived or actual wrong and gradually develops into resentment. As the offended individual repeatedly thinks about the grievance, the person's judgment becomes distorted, and the offense may spread through conversations with others. Vaughn urges believers to reject this pattern and choose forgiveness, emphasizing that the Holy Spirit provides strength to overcome bitterness. He then discusses John the Baptist, who questioned whether Jesus was the expected Messiah while John was imprisoned. Vaughn interprets this incident as an example of disappointment affecting a previously faithful supporter of a ministry. Jesus' response, directing John's messengers to report the miracles they had witnessed, becomes Vaughn's illustration of redirecting attention from personal feelings to the continuing work of God. He also briefly refers to Lazarus and the disappointment surrounding Jesus' delayed arrival. The sermon then turns toward the coming kingdom of Yahweh. Vaughn teaches that believers are preparing for responsibility in that kingdom and should not allow disagreements to destroy their unity. He refers to Nehemiah's rebuilding of Jerusalem's wall and the attempts of Sanballat to distract him. Vaughn uses this example to emphasize that abandoning one's assignment for unnecessary conflict can undermine the entire work. He concludes by calling believers and ministries to cooperate despite differences over theological terminology and religious practices. His final appeal is for Christians to forgive offenses, preserve fellowship, and remain focused on preparing for the return of Yeshua.

Core doctrine

Matthew 11:2–6 — Pastor Shane Vaughn teaches that the spirit of offense is a destructive influence that Satan uses to divide believers, weaken ministries, and distract God's people from their spiritual responsibilities. He explains that offenses begin when individuals experience disappointment, mistreatment, or perceived injustice and allow those experiences to develop into resentment, bitterness, gossip, and division. Vaughn teaches that believers must resist these influences through the power of the Holy Spirit, choosing forgiveness and focusing on the good in others rather than continually rehearsing personal grievances. Through Matthew 11:2–6, he examines the account of John the Baptist questioning whether Jesus was the expected Messiah while John was imprisoned. Vaughn interprets John's doubts as arising from disappointment that Jesus had not personally intervened in his circumstances, and he emphasizes that Jesus redirected attention to the evidence of His ministry through healing and deliverance. He also refers to the events surrounding Lazarus to illustrate the danger of judging God's work according to personal expectations. Through Nehemiah 6:1–4, Vaughn emphasizes the importance of remaining committed to divine assignments despite opposition and attempts at distraction. He teaches that believers are preparing for participation in the coming kingdom of Yahweh and must develop the unity, discipline, and spiritual maturity necessary for that responsibility. He warns that disagreements over doctrinal terminology, religious traditions, and interpretations of Scripture should not automatically destroy fellowship among those working toward the same spiritual purpose. Vaughn urges the body of Messiah to overcome personal offenses, reject divisive behavior, support faithful ministries, and remain focused on proclaiming the return of Yeshua and the establishment of God's kingdom on earth. His interpretation of John the Baptist's questions as evidence of personal offense is a pastoral application rather than a motive explicitly stated in the biblical account.
