Institute I'm Shane vaugh and I'll be teaching tonight on the subject of Heaven oh man what a subject and it's a subject that a lot of uh my friends on Facebook are anxious to know about and uh on my television program Zion's call I'm not able to just spend some time dealing with these subjects like I'd like to so I take advantage of this this um YouTube and it's here that I can just slow down I don't have to worry about time constraints cuz you can stop and (00:39) press the pause button when you need to take a break start it again later so it's a beautiful thing so tonight I'm taking time out of my schedule to teach you on the subject of Heaven let me ask you a few questions what do you really know about heaven everybody wants to go there and yet I'm afraid that very few people really know the truth about heaven it's popular today to preach give your heart to Jesus and you get to go to heaven you know I have a lot of unanswered questions about heaven but God's word gives us an answer about what (01:25) that city is going to be like and I'm afraid when you get through watching in this video that you're going to see that it may not quite be what you thought it was going to be um Heaven is uh very misunderstood and I misunderstood a lot about heaven all of my life I've been in the church since I was a little bitty boy and I've if I've heard a thousand sermons about heaven I've heard 10,000 and uh but it wasn't until recently after some intense study that I really begin to understand what the next life is going to be like and it's my (02:08) hope tonight that you'll get with your your Bible follow me through the scriptures and let's see what it's really going to be like in this place called Heaven a famous evangelist uh Billy Graham to be exact was asked this question what would will we do when we get to heaven and he answered the questioner with this answer he says well I don't know but it will be wonderful well brothers and sisters there's no need for us to be ignorant about what we're going to be doing in heaven you can know the Bible wants to give you the answer to these (02:57) questions you can know and uh you know many people have many assumptions about heaven many people are looking forward to getting on those clouds and riding the clouds you know having a Need for Speed and getting on those clouds and riding them and or walking the streets of gold and getting before the Pearly Gates and playing those golden Harps and growing some big old wings so they can fly past Jupiter and Mars and and then fishing in that River of Life for all eternity and swimming in the crystal sea and oh so (03:35) many assumptions about heaven and very little truth you need to know the truth and you need to take time out of your schedule to follow me through the scriptures and let's find out exactly what God has promised us you see all of these ideas I just quoted to you all of these fairy tale ideas is nothing more than fairy tales they man-made ideas that you will never find anywhere in the Bible you see this book I hold in my hand you see that good book every answer to every problem every question is in this book but you must study to show (04:24) your self approved you must quit taking traditional answers and study it by the word what if you are wrong about what you think about heaven why is that important because if you're going to live for God if you're going to suffer every day to make it to Heaven perhaps you need to know what you're suffering for think about this you're going to get to heaven and you get there and first trillion years passes by and and those trillion years you've already worshiped God you've been at the throne you've met all your loved (05:04) ones you've rode all the clouds you've played all the harps caught all the fish out of the crystal sea and swam down the River of Life and and you lived in your mansion and watched your flat screen and and did it all with no bills and what next think about it what next what is next what are you going to do for the next trillion years you know the most bored people in the world are people that have nothing to live for if you want to see what retirement is like for most people not all people but most go down to the nursing home and (05:46) there you'll find people that have really no reason to wake up tomorrow except to exist they have no careers that they're trying to reach the next level on there's nothing really for them to ascertain they in the retirement years most people think of Heaven as an eternal retirement home a Disney World in the sky that we're all going to be snatched out of here and we're all going to go to that Disney World and just live with Jesus and dance down streets of go everybody's got ideas about heaven but most of those ideas as you're going to (06:27) learn in these next series of teachings are wrong ideas they're the postulations of man they're the sestry of human thinking and not found in the Bible don't you want to know the truth about heaven of course you do or you wouldn't be watching this video what does God teach us about heaven the subject of going to heaven is a classic example of our need to study the scriptures so let's turn now to Matthew 5 and verse 5 and let's start our Bible study I'm only going to take 15 minutes per segment to do this lesson in I'll go (07:13) 15 minutes and then I'll stop go and you can start it on the next part that way you you don't get uh bored you can just follow me as you have time so turn with me to Matthew chap 5 and verse 5 and let's just see what the Bible says about what's going to happen happen in the next life and what heaven's going to be like get all those bad ideas good sweet ideas but not God ideas about heaven out of your mind now Matthew 5 and5 these are the words of Jesus Christ blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth I'm going to step out on a limb (07:54) here and I'm going to challenge you at the very Genesis of this lesson you will not find one place not one in the word of God that promises the believer those that have accepted Jesus Christ lived a life of pleasing to the Lord they are never promised a trip into outer space they're never promised a place distant Galaxy called Heaven There is no promise in God's word for go going past the galaxies and the Milky Way to go to another place called heaven but the first promise we see to The Believer from Jesus himself is blessed of the (08:43) meek for they shall inherit the what the Earth not heaven but the Earth have you ever heard even one Minister one that you've ever listened to say that God's purpose for you in getting saved and God's purpose for you in enduring all this suffering and all these trials that God's purpose for you is to give you the Earth have you ever heard that in all your years of going to church just think about it don't fight against what I'm teaching simply because it sounds different I challenge you to think I challenge you (09:25) to get outside the box and get in the word and no is my question have you ever heard in all of your Christian experience the preacher say come to the altar so you can inherit the earth I haven't and I've been in that a long time I've always heard come so you can be C away in the Rapture and drift off into a place called Heaven amen there is at the very beginning of Jesus's Ministry a plain scripture you shall receive the earth now go with me to Revelation 5 and verse 10 turn there with me to Revelation 5:1 I want you to (10:12) look at it with your own eyes don't ever believe me never ever ever believe me or anybody without seeing it in the good book The Holy Bible let's read re I love teaching God's people those that are hungry religious folk can't teach them nothing they know everything but if you're hungry for truth today let's go Revelation 5 And1 now speaking here is a group of people that's representing you and I the redeemed and here's what it says and you have made us unto our God Kings and Priests and we shall future tents not (10:51) right now but we shall reign or rule not in heaven but over the Earth read it read it look in your Bible look in your Bible Revelation 5 and10 does it say that the Believers shall reign over heaven or shall they Reign Over Earth the reward of God's Saints is to inherit future rulership write that quote down and remember it it's going to change you completely when you get these lessons God's promise to you is not retirement in the sky God's promise to you is rulership and authority over the Earth the one you're (11:46) standing on right now I'll ask again be honest have you ever heard anybody teaching this Som have because the word of God will always come forth but in the majority this is not something that we hear uh we we mostly hear about rolling in the clouds and we mostly hear about dancing down the streets of gold meeting Aunt Sally and Uncle Joe and everybody going to the marriage supper of the Lamb come on get in your Bible let's find out are you going to believe the plain words of God are you going to believe what your (12:21) preacher says what your church says now I want to take you before we close actually I'm not going to do it in this lesson let's stop there in the next part part two I'm going to take you to the Book of Daniel and I'm going to show you without one doubt what God has in store for you and I those that have endured the good fight of faith those that suffer every day for the Gospel of Jesus Christ I'm going to show you what you have in store and you know what it's a lot better than what you've ever been told it's a lot better than retiring to (12:59) a mansion now think about this you're going to go to heaven everybody that believes on Jesus is going to go to heaven well think about it all your enemies are going can you imagine what heaven's going to be like with a bunch of retired folk that has nothing to do that didn't like each other here on Earth how they're going to like each other up there it's going to be one big mess is what it's going to be unless you understand the truth may I teach you the truth would you follow
