Social media has changed the world and it's helping to destroy the church. I want to address what I believe is a false understanding of the word of God concerning exposure of the unfruitful works of darkness all over the internet. I want to prove to you in this video that it is not only ungodly. It is not only unfruitful itself, but it is in fact the work of Antichrist. I'll prove it.
I challenge you to sit still, open your Bible, and let's see if you are right or wrong in all of your exposure, okay? Now, what triggered this for me is I've been watching for months now, 2 months, the whole Joni Lamb Daystar saga, sad saga. It's sad for everyone involved. It's heartbreaking. And what makes it heartbreaking is no one watching me right now knows the truth. You know what you've heard.
You know what you've seen. And you think you know the truth. We all do. That's human nature. But that's why we have a court system in our world so all the facts can get put on the table, and then we shut down the court of public opinion, and we go to the court of the law. Well, every time that I get on Facebook or anywhere and make a post that we should not be judging this matter prematurely.
We should not be slandering our brothers and sisters publicly. I always get this scripture thrown back at me. And it's found in Why don't we go to Ephesians 5? Let's look at that. This is the scripture everyone throws at me. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. So, you see Pastor Vaughn, that's our job.
We are to get all over YouTube, all over Facebook, and reprove everybody since we have a right to do that because we're perfect ourselves. We're going to And and my next question is, who's going to do all the exposing? Okay, we're going to expose them today. All right, and then when do we expose you? You see, if you really want to open this Pandora's Box, we can do that.
But let's first make sure it's biblical. Do you believe the Bible? Do you believe it is the final rule in all matters? If you don't, then we have nowhere else to go. But if you're watching and you're a Bible believer, you said, you know what? I believe the Bible. Then I'm fixing to shut I'm going to shut down this misunderstanding of Ephesians 5.
We're going to do it right now. How are we going to do it? By taking the whole counsel of the word of God, not just one little scripture out of context. To do that, we have to go back to the Torah, the beginning of the Bible, to find the mind of Yahweh on a matter. God hates injustice, okay? Yahweh wrote a Torah that said you're not allowed to accuse anyone of anything unless you're willing in the Old Testament to go to the gate of the city.
At the gate of the city, there would be wise elders sitting at the gate of the city. That's where business was done. In that day, it's what we would call court. And you were to bring two or three witnesses before the gate of the city. And the elders would make a judgment and you would live by that judgment.
All right. You're going to find Yahweh has never changed that pattern all through his word. When we get to the New Testament let's go find the words of Yeshua. See, we're going to take the whole Bible, make it all line up perfectly. Let's read from his mouth how we should be handling these matters in the church if there is a problem with like Joni Lamb or me or anyone.
Let's see if you believe the Bible. Matthew chapter 18 started verse number 15. Moreover if your brother let's stop right there. There is ways to deal with a church matter. If it is your brother in Messiah one that has called upon Yeshua as their savior, they identify as a believer in Christ, they are your brother.
You don't have to like them. That's your brother. Okay? If they are our brother, there is one way that Yeshua authorized you to deal with them. Let's read it. If your brother trespasses against you, offends you, does something that misses the mark with you, go to YouTube. Go to Facebook. No. No. Go and tell him his fault between thee and him.
I think I'll highlight that word alone. Privacy. Yahweh's greatest desire is to protect his church. The ministry and his work on earth is already fought enough by hell that it doesn't need everyone in the church trying to destroy the church. Go to him alone. Step number one, check mark. Listen carefully. If you are on Facebook or YouTube or anything else, text or anything discussing offenses, and you have not completed step number one, you are antichrist.
Why? Christ is the word, is he not? The word is in Christ. So, if you're anti-word, that makes you antichrist. Anything against the word is against Christ. So, if you have bypassed step number one, you've gone against the word. You're anti-word. If that person you go to them privately, and if they hear you, you will gain a brother.
You will find peace, and that is the purpose, is it not? But, what if that doesn't work? Now you go to YouTube. Now you go to Facebook. Right? Wrong. Now you go to step number two. It's very plain. If your brother will not hear you, then take with you, just like in the Torah, in the Old Testament, take with you two or three witnesses to thy brother, and let them hear the matter.
Maybe they can resolve it, and we can find peace. Hopefully it'll work at that point. If not, congratulations, there is a third step. And if your brother will not hear you, tell it to Facebook, the internet, and all the unbelievers you can find that will listen to you. No. Now take it to the court. Who is the court? The ecclesia, the kahal, the legislative body is called the church in the Greek.
And the English, rather. It's the church. After you've done everything you know to do, it's time to bring it before the whole assembly, and then that assembly will judge the matter. They will find either you wrong or the other brother wrong, okay? And if either one of you neglect the ruling of the church, then you are no longer to be considered a member of the church.
That's it. It's not to be discussed any further. A ruling was made by the church. That's it. You accept it and you move on with life. Okay? Now, I'm going to show you why Jonathan and Susie Lamb are wrong. I said it. I didn't say Joni was right. I said I'm going to show you why Jonathan and Susie are wrong. And I'm going to show you from the word of God.
Get mad at the word, not me. After he had this meeting with his mother and that man, then they should have gone to their local church and brought it before the church. But no, they chose to go to a news reporter, ungodly, unbeliever, and violate the next command. Where do we find that command? Let's go look for it.
Turn with me in your Bible. Never believe nothing I teach you. Go to the Bible. Let's go to 1 Corinthians chapter 6. And you're going to hear Paul heartbroken to know that Jonathan and Susie and people in their shoes have gone before the world with the matters of the church. Now, let me put a disclaimer here. I'm not talking about the essay of the child.
That is to go to the police department and left there. It's to be brought to a district attorney and it's to be brought to a court of law for somebody to be found guilty or innocent. It's not to go before the court of public opinion. Especially unbelievers. Why? It hurts work of God. Let's see what Paul said. Dare any of you That means me. That means Jonathan.
That means Susie. That means you. Dare any of you that has a matter against one another to go before the unjust and not before the saints. How dare anybody take these ministry matters to the unbelieving world for them to mock the church even more and contribute to the satanic work of attacking the church. He said, "No. Go before the saints.
In an enclosed assembly, shut the door. Go before the whole assembly." He said, "Do you not know? Does any of you really know that the saints are going to judge the world? And yet you're wanting to go before the world for them to judge the saints? Do you not know who you are?" Paul says. "Are you this foolish that you go before unbelievers so they can laugh at my work?" he says.
He said, "Do you not know that you are going to judge them and yet you're asking them to judge the work of God? And if the world will be judged by you, are you not able to judge the smallest matter such as a ministry position? Are you not able to go into the church and handle this? Do you not know you're going to judge angels? How much things that pertain to this life? If then you have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
Paul said, "I'm ashamed of you. I'm ashamed of you." Paul says. Is it so? Tell me it's not so. Tell me you're not getting on public forums with your ought against your brothers. Tell me you're not doing it, he says. Rather than inside the conclave of the holy church. He said, "Is there not one wise man among you?" He said, "You're fools to go before the world.
Would you go in your private family? Would you go before the world if you and your husband had a fight? No, you would work it out in the family. You never talk your business to the world. He said, "You're fools. Not one that's able to judge between his brethren. Is there nobody? Anybody that's able to say, 'Hey, hold on.
Hold on. Stop.' Let's go back to the table. Let's start at step one again. Let's obey the word." He said, "But verse six, but brother goes to law with brother and then they go before the unbelievers that are not in the Kahal, in the assembly. Now therefore there is a big problem among all of you." Paul says, "I'm ashamed of you.
You're a bunch of fools going before the wolves of this world with the matters of the ministry." He said, "You go. Why do you not rather just take the wrong? Why do you feel like you need to speak your truth? Why do you feel like you need to be heard? That's selfish. Nothing like Christ. Do you You don't think he had a truth? Yet, he spoke not a word.
He said, "Why don't you just take the wrong? Why don't you just wash your hands, take the wrong, and go on? Why do you have to destroy? Why do you not rather suffer yourself to be defrauded rather than trying to burn down the whole house?" He said, "I'm ashamed of you." No. You do wrong and defraud your brother.
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of Yahweh? Now, let's go back to that favorite scripture that everybody loves about exposing the unfruitful works of darkness. Ephesians 5. Now, knowing everything we just read from Genesis, from the Torah, all the way over to 1 Corinthians, and the words of Christ, taking it all together, let's see how it lines up with this verse.
Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. Amen. If someone has offended you, if you know someone is in right, break fellowship with them. That's after you've talked to them, after you've brought witnesses, after you've brought it before the church, then you can break fellowship with them. And then you can reprove them.
Let's go look at that word reprove. It has a cornucopia of meanings. A link go. If you look at the word, you'll find out that it's basically to correct. You can correct them. Not destroy them. But correct them, okay? Let's see, was I sharing that when I showed you that? I hope I was. Let's look at it again. Sorry about that.
There it is. Correct them. Bring the light to them. Bring conviction to them by correction. No harm in that whatsoever. But it doesn't say destroy them. And it doesn't say do it before the world at all. Let's see what it does say. Sorry about that. Let's go back to Ephesians. Reprove them. And notice the next verse that everybody forgets.
For it's a shame to even speak of those things which are done of them. Don't even talk about it. It's a shame to even speak of those things. Much less broadcast it. Now, there is one other scripture that we need to deal with before we go tonight. First Timothy 5 and 20 Them that sin rebuke before all that others also may fear.
All right. And I believe in that. But let's find out who the all is. We already know it's not the world. Paul tell tells us that in 1 Timothy chapter 1 Corinthians 6. So, we know he's not talking about all as in the world. So, what is the meaning of all? Let's click on it. Rebuke before all has several meanings.
But if we take it with the instructions that Paul gives us, we see it means the whole. And we already know what whole Paul is talking about cuz he told us in 1 Corinthians. If the brother will not hear you take it before the whole congregation. And we know that because the context in the verses before that verse is about elders in the church.
Take those that would not listen privately. They wouldn't listen in a meeting with two or three witnesses and now rebuke them before the whole assembly before the saints. Never before the world. Thank you. God bless you.
