ROSH CHODESH
THE SECOND MONTH
FROM ZIV TO IYAR:
How Babylon Renamed the Month of Healing —
And How YAHWEH Is Restoring It Tonight
✦ ✦ ✦
Rev. John Shane Vaughn
Founding Apostolic Overseer
First Harvest Ministries International
OPENING
Beloved, welcome to Rosh Chodesh — the head of the new month.
Tonight we stand at the doorway of the second month on YAHWEH's calendar.
But before we walk through that door,
I need to show you something the Spirit showed me this week
that changes how we read this month forever.
We are going to discover three things tonight:
What YAHWEH Himself called this month
How Babylon renamed it
What the restored name means for YOU right now
And when we are done,
you will never call this month by the same name
without understanding what you are actually saying.
PART ONE
WHAT YAHWEH CALLED IT
I. THE TORAH PATTERN
Open your Bible to Exodus 12:2.
📖 Exodus 12:2
"This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you."
Notice what YAHWEH did NOT say.
He did NOT name the month.
He did NOT give it a proper title.
He did NOT borrow a foreign word.
He said one thing: "the first month."
That is the Torah pattern. Look through the five books of Moses:
"the first month"
"the second month"
"the third month"
"the seventh month"
👉 YAHWEH numbered His months. He did not name them.
Why?
Because in YAHWEH's economy, the calendar itself belongs to Him.
He does not share His months with other gods.
He does not label His time with pagan festivals.
He simply says: "This is the first. This is the second. This is Mine."
II. THE PRE-EXILIC HEBREW NAME — ZIV
Now, during the time of Solomon — the height of the united kingdom —
a Hebrew name appears in Scripture for this second month.
📖 1 Kings 6:1
"...in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, he began to build the house of YAHWEH."
📖 1 Kings 6:37
"In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of YAHWEH laid, in the month Ziv."
👉 ZIV (זִו).
This is the pre-exilic Hebrew name for the second month.
This is the name Solomon used when he began building the First Temple.
This is the name the inspired Word of YAHWEH preserves.
What Does ZIV Mean?
Ziv (זִו) means: brightness, radiance, splendor, light.
The second month is literally called "The Month of Radiance."
Why?
Because in the Land of Israel,
this is the month when the land itself glows —
the wildflowers bloom in every field,
the hills turn green and gold,
and the whole earth seems to radiate with the afterglow of Passover deliverance.
👉 YAHWEH gave us the deliverance in Nisan.
👉 The radiance of that deliverance shines in Ziv.
The Hebrew Word Picture of ZIV
Let's look at the three letters of ZIV (זיו):
ז (ZAYIN) — Weapon / Sword
Cutting, testing, separating, warfare
י (YOD) — Hand
Action, work, divine intervention
ו (VAV) — Nail / Hook
Connection, joining, binding together
Put them together:
ZIV = THE HAND THAT CUTS TO CONNECT
Or prophetically:
"YAHWEH uses the sword to separate so He can join properly."
This is the second month in one sentence.
Things get cut away.
Relationships get tested.
Structures get shaken.
NOT to destroy you — but to align you correctly.
PART TWO
HOW BABYLON RENAMED IT
III. THE GREAT INTERRUPTION
Now beloved, hear me carefully.
Something happened between Solomon's Temple and today
that changed the name of this month forever.
In 586 BCE, Nebuchadnezzar came.
He burned the Temple.
He broke the walls.
He carried Judah into Babylon.
For seventy years, YAHWEH's people lived as captives
in the land of false gods, false calendars, and false names.
And when they came home —
they did not come home the same.
📖 Nehemiah 2:1
"And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king..."
NISAN.
Not "the first month."
Not "Aviv."
Nisan.
Where did that name come from?
👉 Nisan is a Babylonian name. From the Akkadian Nisannu — the name of a Babylonian festival month.
Look at Esther 3:7, 13; 8:12; 9:1 — over and over:
"The month Adar."
👉 Adar is a Babylonian name. From Akkadian Adaru.
Look at Zechariah 7:1: "in the ninth month, even in Chisleu..."
👉 Kislev — Babylonian.
Look at Zechariah 1:7: "in the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat..."
👉 Shevat — Babylonian.
Every single month name in your modern Jewish calendar came home from Babylon.
The Talmud itself confesses it:
Jerusalem Talmud, Rosh Hashanah 1:2:
"The names of the months came up with them from Babylon."
The rabbis admitted it.
The exile renamed YAHWEH's appointed times.
And 2,500 years later,
the whole world — Jew and Christian alike —
calls YAHWEH's feasts by Babylonian names.
IV. THE RENAMING OF THE SECOND MONTH
So what happened to ZIV?
Ziv disappeared.
In its place, a new name arose — a name that is NOT in your Hebrew Bible anywhere:
IYAR.
"Iyar" does not appear in the Torah.
"Iyar" does not appear in the Prophets.
"Iyar" does not appear in the Writings.
"Iyar" does not even appear in post-exilic books like Esther or Ezra.
"Iyar" appears only in rabbinic literature — the Mishnah, the Talmud, and afterward.
Its origin?
The Akkadian word "Ayaru" — a Babylonian month name
tied to the Tammuz agricultural cycle
and the pagan rites of Babylonian "brightness."
👉 Ziv was the Hebrew word for brightness.
👉 Iyar was Babylon's counterfeit — a pagan brightness replacing divine radiance.
Beloved, do you see what the enemy did?
He did not destroy the name Ziv.
He simply replaced it —
with a name that sounds similar,
that looks similar,
that even means something similar —
but which carries a Babylonian fingerprint instead of a Hebrew one.
And YAHWEH's own people
accepted the swap
and forgot the original.
V. WHY TONIGHT MATTERS — THE BRIDGE
Now beloved — I did not bring you through this history
to give you a theology lesson.
I brought you here because
the month we are entering tonight
is the very month designed to expose
what has been falsely named in YOUR life.
Ziv cuts away what is counterfeit.
And Babylon's first move
was to put a counterfeit label on Ziv itself.
"That is not coincidence. That is warfare."
And tonight —
WE TAKE THE NAME BACK.
PART THREE
THE REVELATION
VI. THE SPIRIT OF BABYLON IS THE SPIRIT OF RENAMING
Now beloved, I want you to stand up in your spirit
because I am about to give you something
that the Holy Spirit dropped into my heart this week.
👉 The spirit of Babylon is not primarily a spirit of destruction.
👉 The spirit of Babylon is a SPIRIT OF RENAMING.
Babylon does not always burn what it conquers.
Babylon does not always kill what it captures.
Babylon renames it.
It leaves the thing standing.
It leaves the thing breathing.
It simply changes what the thing is called —
until the original name is forgotten,
and the original meaning dies with the name.
"This is the most sophisticated weapon in hell's arsenal."
You will fight a destroyer.
You will not fight a renamer.
You will simply accept the new name and move on.
And three generations later,
no one remembers what the thing was originally called —
or what it originally meant.
VII. THE PATTERN BEGAN BEFORE BABYLON — JOSEPH IN EGYPT
Now watch this carefully.
The renaming pattern did not begin with Nebuchadnezzar.
It began long before —
the FIRST time YAHWEH's people were taken captive
into an empire that opposed His order.
Look at Genesis 41:45:
📖 Genesis 41:45
"And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnath-paaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On."
Hebrew Name
Meaning
Egyptian Replacement
Meaning
Joseph (Yoseph)
"YAHWEH will add / increase"
Zaphnath-paaneah
"The god speaks and he lives"
👉 Joseph's Hebrew name contained YAHWEH.
👉 Joseph's Egyptian name invoked a pagan deity.
The empire took a name that meant "YAHWEH will increase"
and replaced it with a name that declared
"the god of Egypt speaks, and he lives."
"But Egypt did not stop at renaming."
Look at the verse again:
"...and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah, priest of On."
On is Heliopolis — the City of the Sun.
Potipherah was a priest of Ra, the sun god.
👉 Egypt did not just rename Joseph.
👉 Egypt tried to MARRY Joseph into the priesthood of the sun god.
Do you hear what I am saying?
The spirit of Babylon does not only rename —
"it tries to MARRY you to the renamed system."
This is why Revelation 17 shows us a woman riding the beast.
This is why the final Babylon is called "the harlot."
The spirit of renaming always ends in counterfeit marriage.
Egypt renamed Joseph and married him to the sun god's priesthood.
Babylon renamed Daniel and pressed him to bow to the golden image.
Rome renamed YAHSHUA and married His bride to the empire.
👉 Every empire that has ever held YAHWEH's people captive
👉 has first tried to RENAME them —
👉 and then tried to MARRY them to the renamed system.
VIII. THE PATTERN CONFIRMED — DANIEL'S FOUR HEBREWS
What Egypt did to Joseph, Babylon did to Daniel.
📖 Daniel 1:6–7
"Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abed-nego."
Nebuchadnezzar did not kill these four young men.
He did something worse.
He renamed them.
Hebrew Name
Meaning
Babylonian Replacement
Meaning
Daniel
"YAHWEH is my Judge"
Belteshazzar
"Bel (Marduk) protect his life"
Hananiah
"YAHWEH is gracious"
Shadrach
"Command of Aku (moon god)"
Mishael
"Who is what El is?"
Meshach
"Who is what Aku is?"
Azariah
"YAHWEH has helped"
Abed-nego
"Servant of Nebo"
Every Hebrew name contained YAHWEH's character.
Every Babylonian replacement contained the name of a pagan god.
The empire did not say: "Stop worshipping YAHWEH."
The empire said: "We'll just call you by different names now."
👉 The worship was redirected without being forbidden.
And listen — even AFTER the fiery furnace,
even AFTER YAHWEH delivered them publicly,
we still remember them by their Babylonian names.
We don't sing "Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah in the fire."
We sing "Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego."
👉 Babylon's renaming survived even their resurrection.
That is how powerful the spirit of renaming is.
IX. BABYLON RENAMED THE FATHER
If Babylon renamed Joseph in Egypt,
and Daniel in Babylon,
what else did the spirit of Babylon rename?
IT RENAMED YAHWEH HIMSELF.
YAHWEH said in Exodus 3:15:
📖 Exodus 3:15
"This is My Name forever, and this is My memorial unto all generations."
The Name YHWH (יהוה) — YAHWEH — appears in the Hebrew Scriptures
nearly 7,000 times.
SEVEN THOUSAND.
But when you open your English Bible, how many times do you see "YAHWEH"?
Almost never.
It has been replaced with:
"The LORD" — a title, not a name
"God" — a generic category
"Jehovah" — a medieval hybrid that never existed in Hebrew
👉 The most repeated word in the entire Hebrew Bible
👉 has been RENAMED in nearly every English translation on earth.
Seven thousand times, YAHWEH said: "This is My Name."
Seven thousand times, the translators said: "We'll call Him something else."
"That is the spirit of Babylon."
It did not destroy YAHWEH.
It simply renamed Him —
until whole generations of believers grew up
never having heard His Name spoken aloud.
X. BABYLON RENAMED THE SON
If they renamed the Father,
they would certainly rename the Son.
The Son's true Name is YAHSHUA (יהושע) —
meaning "YAHWEH is Salvation."
The Name itself is a sermon.
The Name itself contains the Name of the Father.
The Name itself preaches who He is.
But Babylon's children could not allow that.
Greek said: "We'll call Him Iesous."
Latin said: "We'll call Him Iesus."
English said: "We'll call Him Jesus."
Now — hear me carefully.
We are not condemning those who say "Jesus."
Many have been saved calling on that Name in sincere faith.
But understand what happened:
👉 The Name that means "YAHWEH is Salvation"
👉 became a name that contains no trace of the Father in it at all.
"Jesus" does not contain YAHWEH's Name.
"Jesus" does not mean "YAHWEH is Salvation."
"Jesus" is a linguistic orphan —
a Son whose Name no longer points to His Father.
"That is not accident. That is the spirit of Babylon."
Rename the Father.
Rename the Son.
And the entire household of YAHWEH becomes anonymous —
worshipped under titles
that no longer tell you WHO you are worshipping.
XI. BABYLON RENAMED THE SABBATH
Now beloved, I must speak to you as a congregation of Sabbath-keepers.
Go back to the beginning.
📖 Genesis 2:3
"And Elohim blessed the seventh day and sanctified it."
YAHWEH did not bless a concept.
YAHWEH did not bless "one day in seven."
YAHWEH did not bless "whatever day feels convenient."
👉 He blessed a SPECIFIC DAY — the seventh.
That specific day was sanctified.
That specific day was set apart.
That specific day was to be remembered, kept, and guarded.
Then came Rome. Then came the spirit of Babylon in imperial form.
The Historical Record — And It Is Damning
📜 In 321 CE, the Roman Emperor Constantine issued a civil edict commanding rest on —
listen to his own words —
"the venerable day of the SUN" — venerabili die Solis.
Constantine did not say "honor the day of the Lord."
Constantine did not say "honor the day of resurrection."
Constantine said honor the day of the SUN GOD —
and he named the pagan god by name in the law itself.
📜 In 364 CE, the Council of Laodicea issued Canon 29, which declared:
"Christians must not Judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather honoring the Lord's Day..."
Do you hear that?
👉 By 364 CE, keeping the seventh day Sabbath —
👉 the day YAHWEH Himself blessed in Genesis 2 —
👉 was officially branded as "Judaizing."
The seventh-day Sabbath-keepers — the faithful remnant —
were formally criminalized by institutional Christianity.
What Babylon Did
👉 The seventh day was not abandoned.
👉 It was renamed, relocated, and CRIMINALIZED.
The Sabbath did not disappear.
It was simply moved to the first day,
called by the name of the sun god — Dies Solis — Sunday,
and the faithful who still kept the seventh day
were branded as Judaizers and heretics.
And the Church accepted the swap.
"They did not take away your rest. They just moved it, renamed it, and shamed you for keeping the original — until you forgot which day YAHWEH had blessed."
👉 That is why we are here tonight.
👉 That is why we gather on the seventh day.
👉 That is why we refuse the swap.
XII. BABYLON IS STILL RENAMING — RIGHT NOW
Beloved, the spirit of Babylon did not stop in 364 CE.
It did not stop in Rome.
It did not stop in the Middle Ages.
👉 It is still renaming things today.
Look around you:
Passover has been renamed "Easter" — after Ishtar, the Babylonian fertility goddess.
The Feast of Tabernacles has been renamed "Christmas" — attached to the winter solstice rites of Saturnalia.
YAHWEH's Torah has been renamed "The Old Testament" — as if eternal instruction were a discarded draft.
YAHWEH's people (Israel) have been renamed "the Church" — as if the olive tree had been replaced.
Every single one of these renamings serves the same purpose:
👉 To keep the form while killing the meaning.
Babylon doesn't need to destroy your faith.
Babylon only needs to rename it
until you no longer recognize what you're practicing.
XIII. WHY RENAMING IS THE ULTIMATE WEAPON
Go back to Eden.
What was the very first task YAHWEH gave Adam?
📖 Genesis 2:19
"...and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof."
👉 Adam's first act of dominion was NAMING.
To name something is to exercise authority over it.
To name something is to define its identity.
To name something is to determine how it will be remembered.
When the serpent came to Eve,
he did not attack YAHWEH's existence.
He attacked YAHWEH's name and character:
"Hath Elohim said...? (Genesis 3:1)"
From the garden to Egypt,
from Egypt to Babylon,
from Babylon to Rome,
from Rome to modern Christendom —
👉 Every satanic strategy is a RENAMING strategy.
Because whoever names a thing
governs that thing.
And that, beloved,
is why the second month matters so much tonight.
PART FOUR
RECLAIMING THE MONTH — ZIV RESTORED
XIV. THE MEANING OF ZIV FOR YOU TONIGHT
Now we come back to the second month —
but we come back with our eyes open.
This is not Iyar.
This is ZIV.
The Month of Radiance.
The Hand that Cuts to Connect.
The Month of Post-Passover Testing, Healing, and Alignment.
The Position of Ziv in the Journey
Nisan (Month 1): Deliverance. Passover. Exodus.
Ziv (Month 2): Wilderness begins. No structure yet. No covenant yet given.
Sivan (Month 3): Sinai. Covenant. Shavuot.
👉 You cannot reach Sinai without walking through Ziv.
The second month is the most unstable phase of the redemption journey.
You're free — but not yet formed.
You're delivered — but not yet defined.
XV. WHAT HAPPENS IN ZIV
Scripture tells us exactly what YAHWEH's people face in this month:
📖 Exodus 15:23–26 — Marah (the Bitter Waters)
📖 Exodus 16 — Manna begins
📖 Exodus 17 — Water from the rock + Amalek attacks
Event
Meaning
Bitter water
Your expectations collapse
Manna
Dependence replaces independence
War with Amalek
The flesh resists transformation
The Hidden Timing of the Manna
Here is something most believers miss.
Manna did not fall on Day 1 of the second month.
📖 Exodus 16:1
"on the fifteenth day of the second month..."
👉 Days 1–14 of Ziv = pure wilderness with no visible provision.
👉 Day 15 = heaven opens.
YAHWEH waits until Egypt's food runs out
before heaven's food descends.
The first HALF of this month is designed
to exhaust human solutions
before divine supply appears.
That is not random.
That is pedagogy.
XVI. THE KEY REVELATION OF ZIV — YAHWEH THE HEALER
📖 Exodus 15:26
"I am YAHWEH your Healer."
This is the signature declaration of this month.
But notice the sequence:
First, the bitter water at Marah.
Then, Moses cast the tree into the water (a picture of YAHSHUA's cross).
Then, YAHWEH gave the statute and ordinance.
Then, YAHWEH declared: "I am YAHWEH your Healer."
👉 Healing did not come FIRST.
👉 Obedience came first.
👉 Obedience unlocked healing.
This destroys modern thinking.
People want:
Deliverance WITHOUT discipline
Blessing WITHOUT alignment
Healing WITHOUT obedience
But Ziv says:
"No. First we see who you really are. THEN comes the healing."
XVII. THE PROPHETIC THEMES OF ZIV
1. TESTING AFTER BREAKTHROUGH
You escaped Egypt — but now your mindset and habits are exposed.
2. DEPENDENCE TRAINING
Manna appears in this month. Daily dependence replaces stored security.
3. BITTERNESS REVEALED
Marah happens first. YAHWEH exposes internal bitterness before giving sweetness.
4. SPIRITUAL WARFARE BEGINS
Amalek attacks. The flesh always rises up right after deliverance.
5. HEALING THROUGH ALIGNMENT
"I am YAHWEH your Healer" appears here — not in Egypt. Healing belongs to those in transition.
6. INTERCESSION EMERGES
Moses' lifted hands during the battle with Amalek (Exodus 17:11–12). The warfare of Ziv cannot be won alone — it requires the body holding up the leader's arms. This is the FIRST picture of corporate intercession in the post-deliverance journey.
XVIII. THEME 7 — DIVINE INVENTORY / THE MILITARY MUSTER
Now listen carefully — because this is the Torah anchor
for the very day we are gathered in tonight.
Look at Numbers 1:1:
"And YAHWEH spoke unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying, Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel..."
Beloved, do you see the date?
👉 The first day of the second month.
👉 The first day of ZIV.
TONIGHT.
This is the day — the very day we are gathered —
when YAHWEH told Moses to count His people.
But not just count them in a census.
Look at Numbers 1:3:
📖 Numbers 1:3
"From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies."
👉 This was not a head count.
👉 This was a MILITARY MUSTER.
YAHWEH was not curious how many Israelites He had.
YAHWEH was assembling His army.
On the first day of Ziv,
YAHWEH told Moses:
"Count who is able to fight. Count who is ready to stand. Count who belongs to which tribe. Count who holds which banner."
What This Means for YOU
👉 Ziv is the month YAHWEH takes inventory.
👉 Ziv is the month YAHWEH assigns positions.
👉 Ziv is the month YAHWEH musters His army.
After Passover deliverance,
He does not march directly to Canaan.
He stops.
He counts.
He organizes.
He assigns you a tribe, a rank, a banner, a standard.
"Before YAHWEH advances you, He INVENTORIES you."
"Before He sends you into covenant at Sinai, He assigns you a POSITION in the ranks."
A Word to Those Who Feel Forgotten
If you feel like you are in a holding pattern tonight —
if you feel like YAHWEH has stopped moving —
if you feel like nothing is happening in your life —
Hear me clearly:
You are not being forgotten.
You are being COUNTED.
You are being numbered.
You are being assigned your tribe.
You are being given your banner.
You are being placed in formation
for a battle that has not yet arrived.
Ziv is not a holding pattern.
👉 Ziv is the muster roll of the redeemed.
And that is also why Amalek attacks in this month —
because the enemy knows
that when YAHWEH finishes counting His army,
someone is about to get defeated.
XIX. THE CONTRAST WITH ADAR
ADAR (12)
ZIV (2)
Completion
Testing
Joy increases
Complaining increases
Government established
Government challenged
Temple finished
Wilderness begins
Strength revealed
Weakness exposed
Enemy defeated publicly (Purim)
Enemy attacks personally (Amalek)
👉 If ADAR said: "YAHWEH finished it."
👉 ZIV says: "Now let's see if YOU can walk it."
XX. THE DANGEROUS TRUTH
Most believers love Passover.
Most believers love Pentecost.
But most believers fail in Ziv.
Why?
Because this month is:
uncomfortable
uncertain
unstructured
This is where momentum dies.
This is where the excitement of Passover fades
and the reality of wilderness sets in.
👉 The congregation that survives Ziv will receive Sinai.
👉 The congregation that quits in Ziv will wander for 40 years.
XXI. TWO PROPHETIC STATEMENTS
For the congregation:
"The Second Month is where YAHWEH proves whether your freedom is real — or just emotional."
For the leaders:
"The Second Month is where leaders discover whether they are leading people — or just exciting them."
Moses faced his FIRST leadership crisis in this month.
The people's complaints were not just immaturity —
they were the first test of Moses' own identity as a deliverer.
👉 Ziv tests the sheep. Ziv also tests the shepherd.
PART FIVE
THE CALL TONIGHT
XXII. WHAT YAHWEH IS ASKING OF YOU
Beloved, tonight we have learned three things together:
Babylon renamed this month from Ziv to Iyar.
The month itself is about cutting away what is false, to connect you to what is real.
This is the very day YAHWEH counts, assigns, and musters His army.
👉 Do you see how perfect that is?
The month whose very purpose is to cut away falseness
is the same month whose very NAME was falsified by Babylon.
The enemy renamed the month of renaming-exposure.
He hid the meaning inside a counterfeit label
so that the very tool YAHWEH gave us to fight him
would be dulled by a Babylonian name.
But tonight — the name is restored.
Tonight we call it what YAHWEH called it.
Tonight we call it what Solomon called it when he built the Temple.
Tonight we call it ZIV — the month of radiance, the hand that cuts to connect.
👉 And tonight — YAHWEH is COUNTING you.
XXIII. THE PROPHETIC PROMISE — ZEPHANIAH 3:9
Beloved, what we are doing tonight
is not a new doctrine.
It is not a sectarian preference.
It is not a denominational novelty.
👉 It is the literal fulfillment of an ancient prophecy.
Open to Zephaniah 3:9:
"For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of YAHWEH, to serve Him with one consent."
Hear what YAHWEH is saying through the prophet:
👉 "I will TURN the people." — a reversal of captivity
👉 "To a PURE language." — restoration of what was corrupted
👉 "That they may ALL call upon the NAME OF YAHWEH." — the restoration of THE NAME
👉 "To serve Him with ONE CONSENT." — unified worship restored
What is the "pure language" Zephaniah promised?
It is not a new tongue.
It is not an angelic dialect.
It is not a mystical utterance.
👉 It is the RESTORATION OF THE ORIGINAL NAMES.
The end-time revival is not just a revival of power.
The end-time revival is not just a revival of signs and wonders.
IT IS A REVIVAL OF NOMENCLATURE.
When YAHWEH restores all things,
the FIRST thing He restores
is what things are called.
"Tonight, in this room, that prophecy is being fulfilled — one name at a time."
XXIV. THE DECLARATION
As covenant people gathered for Rosh Chodesh, we declare:
👉 We refuse Babylon's renaming.
👉 We refuse to call the Father by Babylon's titles — we call Him YAHWEH.
👉 We refuse to call the Son by Babylon's substitutes — we call Him YAHSHUA.
👉 We refuse to call this month by Babylon's label — we call it ZIV, the Month of Radiance.
👉 We refuse to call the first day of the week the Sabbath — we honor the seventh day YAHWEH blessed.
👉 We refuse to be renamed — we know our names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
👉 We walk into this second month with our eyes open.
👉 We expect the testing. We expect the bitterness. We expect Amalek.
👉 And we expect the healing that only comes through obedience.
👉 And we stand to be counted — numbered in YAHWEH's army — in the muster of Ziv.
XXV. THE APPLICATION — IF YOU ARE IN A ZIV SEASON
If you feel:
frustrated
pressured
unclear
tested
attacked right after a breakthrough
like you are in a holding pattern
👉 You are not going backward.
👉 You are being aligned forward.
👉 You are being counted.
The bitter water is temporary.
The manna is coming on Day 15.
The rock will give water.
Amalek WILL be defeated — but only with lifted hands and a lifted body of intercessors.
And at the end of this month,
SINAI IS WAITING.
✦ ✦ ✦
CLOSING BENEDICTION
May the YAHWEH who cuts to connect
do His clean work in you this Ziv.
May the bitterness in your Marah
become the obedience that unlocks His healing.
May you not quit in the wilderness
before the manna falls.
May you — and the arms that hold up your arms —
walk out of Ziv aligned, healed, and ready for Sinai.
And may Babylon's renamings fall from your lips
like scales from Saul's eyes,
until you walk in the pure language
that Zephaniah promised — serving YAHWEH with one consent.
IN THE NAME OF YAHSHUA,
THE SON OF THE LIVING YAHWEH.
AMEN.

Rosh Chodesh — The First Day of the Second Month (Ziv)
Summary
This Rosh Chodesh teaching explores the second biblical month through its original Hebrew name, Ziv, contrasting it with the later Babylonian name Iyar. By examining the Torah, historical shifts during the exile, and the wilderness journey of Israel, the message reveals the second month as a critical period of testing, dependence, and healing. The teaching calls for a restoration of both the name and the meaning of this month as part of returning to Yahweh’s original order.
