But now that it's over, I couldn't help but respond. There was a lady on my timeline had a pride parade talking about how oh, how beautiful it was. Thousands and thousands of people were there. And she was just going on and on about the freedom they were experiencing. (00:29) I responded. I just had to. And I said these words, "You've always been free." She was talking about how they're now experiencing freedom. And I said, "You were always free in America. You've always been free to love whoever you want. You've always been free to live how you want, sleep with who you want. You've always been free to dye your hair foo. (01:03) What do you mean you're celebrating? Because I asked her, "What are you proud of?" She said, "We're proud of our freedom." And I said, "You always had that freedom." No one's kicking your door down because of your private life. In fact, today's society, they'll applaud you for it, throw a flag on you, and celebrate you. But see, here's what I told her. (01:34) I said, the push back from the right is not about your freedom to exist, your freedom to love, your freedom to do what you want. I said, 'It's about your movement's insistence that the rest of society not only tolerate but celebrate your every expression, even when it's lewd, loud, and inappropriate for children. You always had freedom. (02:05) But the problem is, you want to be who you are, fine. But you want to teach my granddaughter to question who she is? Not fine. My issue is not about being gay. That's God's issue, not mine. And we know how he feels about it. But it's about being graphic, disgusting. It's about being militant and invasive. You're not celebrating freedom. (02:41) You're celebrating fear that you try to throw on the rest of society for not just tolerating you but not celebrating you. You want us to celebrate you. We don't celebrate what Yahweh is going to annihilate. We don't celebrate that. There was a time when pride meant we just want to be left alone. (03:08) Now it means we want access to your children, your curriculum, your commercials, your churches, your conscious and everything else. You see, this is not about love. It's about control. Because love doesn't need a parade. Love doesn't need corporate sponsorship. Love doesn't wave its private parts around in front of toddlers on Main Street. (03:37) Not about freedom. It's about forced affirmation. You don't want tolerance. You want conversion. You want my values removed from society. Your values installed with a drag queen on top. Let me say it plain tonight. We're not against adults making choices. We're against children being turned into ideological pawns. (04:07) There is a sacred innocence to childhood and your parade defiles it. I'll give you an example. My wife and I were in New Orleans a few years ago just enjoying the day. We're walking and lo and behold, we look to the right and here comes a parade right here on Decar Street, the main street in front of Jackson Square. (04:35) The not just a pride parade, but a butt neck kit parade. every hundreds being escorted by the police riding bicycles. 99% of them you didn't want to see naked. Trust me. I mean, I'm like, what? Oh, God. And there's no unseeing it. What if my granddaughter would have been with me? I looked around, there was children all down the streets. (05:03) That's not freedom for me. Pride in being free. Great. We all value freedom. But are we proud of the chaos that's being unleashed in the name of freedom? No. Are we proud of the pornographic displays at public events? No. Are we proud of drag story hours in our children's libraries? No. Are we proud of hormone blockers for 12 year olds? No. (05:36) Are we proud that entire generations now wear their sexuality like a badge of honor, but they can't define what a woman is? No. Be proud if you want, but don't demand my applause. Don't force it in the face of my children. Don't take your liberty, turn it into tyranny. You're free to be who you are, but I'm just as free to reject your ideology, especially when it targets the moral foundation of the society that I love.
