With billions of dollars flowing from the United States into this war and media narratives spinning wildly in every direction, it's time we cut through the noise and get to the absolute truth about who really started this war.
Recently, President Donald Trump posted a statement on Truth Social that sent shockwaves through both mainstream media and conservative circles alike. Tonight, we’re breaking it all down—the history, the players, and the undeniable facts that prove who truly initiated this war.
Trump’s Truth Social Post: What Did He Say?
On Truth Social, Trump made a bold statement criticizing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for:
Convincing the U.S. to send $350 billion to a war that "could not be won and never had to start."
Suggesting half of the money sent to Ukraine is unaccounted for.
Calling Zelenskyy a "dictator without elections" and warning that he is “going to lose his whole country” if the war continues.
Emphasizing that only Trump can negotiate peace with Russia and that Biden never even tried.
The media exploded in response. Many couldn’t understand why Trump would appear to criticize Ukraine, but when you examine the real history of this conflict, it becomes clear what he's doing—exposing the truth.
The Texas Analogy: Understanding the Real Conflict
Let’s use an analogy to break this down in a way everyone can understand.
Imagine the state of Texas decides to secede from the United States. Now, there’s a problem—Texas has nuclear weapons stationed within its borders, weapons that originally belonged to the United States. To avoid conflict, Texas agrees to give up its nuclear weapons in
exchange for a promise from the U.S. and other countries that they will protect Texas from invasion.
For years, peace is maintained. Then, a new governor of Texas comes into power and announces that Texas is now going to join China—the sworn enemy of the United States. Suddenly, China would no longer be separated from the U.S. by an ocean—they’d now have a foothold inside our borders.
What do you think the United States would do? Stand by and let it happen? Or take action to prevent an enemy from gaining access to its territory?
This is exactly what happened with Ukraine.
Ukraine’s Broken Agreements: The Lead Up to War
1991: Ukraine Gains Independence
After the fall of the Soviet Union, Ukraine became an independent country.
However, Ukraine still possessed Soviet-era nuclear weapons— something neither Russia nor the U.S. wanted.
1994: The Budapest Memorandum
Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons in exchange for a guarantee that Russia, the U.S., and the U.K. would protect Ukraine’s sovereignty.
BUT there was an understanding: Ukraine would remain neutral— not joining NATO or Russia.
2008: Ukraine Starts Pushing for NATO Membership
Ukraine asked to join NATO, a direct threat to Russia.
France and Germany rejected their request, fearing it would provoke war with Russia.
2010: Ukraine Passes a Non-Alignment Law
Under President Viktor Yanukovych, Ukraine passed a law stating it would not align with NATO or Russia—maintaining neutrality.
2014: Crimea & The Push for NATO
After Russia took over Crimea, Ukraine revoked its neutrality and restarted its push for NATO membership.
This alarmed Russia, as NATO—Russia’s sworn enemy—was now encroaching closer to their borders.
2017: Ukraine Begins NATO Military Upgrades
Under President Trump, Ukraine began upgrading its military to NATO standards, but Trump never fully supported NATO membership.
Trump knew that supporting Ukraine's NATO push would start a war with Russia—so he kept them at arm’s length.
2020: Biden Greenlights NATO Membership
When Joe Biden took office, Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy reached out.
Unlike Trump, Biden supported Ukraine’s NATO bid, giving Zelenskyy the confidence to push forward.
This is what started the war.
Russia warned repeatedly that if Ukraine officially pursued NATO membership, they would take military action. When Zelenskyy moved ahead anyway with Biden’s support, Putin launched the invasion.
Who Really Started the War?
Yes, Russia started the invasion, but Joe Biden started the war.
Had Biden told Ukraine NO, the war never would have happened. Trump knew this, which is why he always kept Ukraine’s NATO bid off the table.
Zelenskyy played Biden like a fiddle, dragging the U.S. into an unwinnable war, while the American taxpayer foots the bill.
How Will Trump End the War?
Simple: Cut off the money.
Trump’s Truth Social post was a warning to Zelenskyy—if the U.S. stops funding the war, Ukraine will lose everything.
Zelenskyy must negotiate peace and accept that the regions already occupied by Russia will not be returning to Ukraine.
Without U.S. money, Ukraine cannot continue the fight—forcing them to settle before they lose the entire country.
Final Thoughts: The Truth They Won’t Tell You
The media and deep state politicians want you to believe this war was an unprovoked act of Russian aggression—but history tells a different story.
Ukraine broke its agreements, ignored Russia’s warnings, and Biden gave them the green light to provoke war.
Trump’s plan? End the war the only way possible—by pulling the plug on endless U.S. funding.
Now that you know the truth, it’s time to share it and counteract the media’s lies.
What do you think? Did Joe Biden start the war? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Summary
The article argues that the origins of the Russia-Ukraine war are rooted in Ukraine's shift away from neutrality and pursuit of NATO membership rather than being solely an unprovoked invasion by Russia. It presents President Trump's public statements as consistent with that interpretation and contends that ending U.S. funding would force negotiations and bring the conflict to an end.
