Summary
At a Sunday night farewell service, departing minister Brother Jonathan Nash preaches from Philippians 3:13-14 a message he titles "It's a Yahweh Thing." He teaches that failures are stepping stones to destiny, using Joseph's journey from the pit to the palace, and that Joseph's son Manasseh, a name he explains as being made to forget, pictures a spiritual amnesia in which the believer forgets the troubles but keeps the experience. From Psalm 118:24 he teaches living and praising in the present moment, speaks of old-time holiness, vision and unity (Psalm 133:1), and closes on praise as a weapon and the key to deliverance and breakthrough, with Leah naming Judah ("praise"). Pastor Shane Vaughn closes the service by applying spiritual amnesia to forgiveness, calling members to make things right with one another.
