Summary
Jeremiah’s potter-and-clay parable concerns Yahweh’s dealings with the house of Israel. He first shaped Israel through Torah, but the nation became marred through idolatry and rebellion and was temporarily removed from His wheel. Yahweh later began remolding the same Abrahamic clay into Remnant Israel. Through Yahshua and the Holy Spirit, a called remnant from Judah and the scattered tribes is being restored to covenant, Torah, and Israelite identity. The parable rejects replacement theology: Yahweh did not discard Israel and begin again with different clay. He is restoring and reforming the same people into a vessel pleasing to Him.
