[Music] for hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years the verse that we're going to study right now has literally given heartburn to almost every segment of the Christian theological world all the way from the trinitarians to the modalist to the unitarians to the binitarianism in between tonight we want to look at a verse of scripture from The Book of Revelation and see if we can't uh do some research and find the truth about the real meaning of Revelation chapter 3 verse 14 hello I'm brother Shane Von minister at first Harvest Ministries and we thank you for joining our Bible study tonight if you've not subscribed to the YouTube channel do us a favor and you a favor hit that subscription button and then click the notification Bell also comment real quick tell me where you're listening from and then share this teaching for those that have an ear to hear what the spirit is saying to the churches Revelation 3 and: 14 and unto the Ang Angel of the Church of the leans WR these things saith the amen the faithful and true witness the beginning of the creation of God now this verse is very problematic on several different levels because it references Jesus now I will be referring to him henceforth as yua his original Hebrew name this verse is referencing yua and then it says about yua that he is the beginning of the creation of God now for the trinitarians this really poses a problem because it is their doctrinal belief that Jesus y and Yahweh the father and the Holy Spirit are all co-equal coexistent coeternal and completely equal in every area so this verse they have to explain it away because it says that Jesus yua is a created being now for the modalist or the Oneness when they read this verse that Jesus is the beginning of the creation of God that totally throws their Doctrine into a tail spin and therefore they must explain it away in the ways that they do and then we come to the um to the batarians who believe that the father created the son and they do not believe that they're equal uh but they believe that Jesus is the beginning of the creation of God but to them this is referring to time immemorial and to them this proves the pre-existence of Jesus Christ uh before the foundation of the world it seems to say here that he was the very first thing that God ever created now for the biblical unitarians such as my self and others this scripture is perfectly in line with what we believe we believe in the father and the son and we believe that that son was created by the father not in time immemorial not in eternity past but in fact upon his physical birth now how do we explain this scripture to where everyone can understand it to do that we've got to take a journey through the scriptures so I'm going to ask you to grab your bible and let's see if we cannot make these verses line up perfectly here a little and there a little line upon line and precept upon on precept now before we can explain the verse 14 of Revelation 3 we need to Glide up to Revelation 3 and12 and find our context we need to find out what the Apostle John is what's in his mind when he's writing this particular verse referring to yua as the beginning of this creation of God so to find the context we go to the first line of verse 12 and it says in Revelation 3 and12 him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God and he shall go no more out and I will write upon him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God which is New Jerusalem which cometh down out of of Heaven from my God and I will write upon him my new name so if we were in a class right now and I was your professor and I ask you to do biblical research and find the context or the setting of this verse in question what would you tell me the context is or rather the subject of this discussion or this uh writing by John well since I cannot hear your answer I'm going to help you your context is the first line of the 12th verse him that overcometh John is speaking right now about a new group of people a new creation a group of people humans that are part of a very special hundredfold group of Believers he calls them the Overcomers these are the 144,000 overcoming Believers that were not 30-fold believers they were not 60-fold Believers but they areund hundredfold Believers and if you don't understand what I'm talking about please I'll put a link right now if you'll look at the top of the video I'll put a link to our lesson on the 30 fold 60 fold and 100 fold so that you can understand the subject better so Point number one when you get to Revelation 3:14 remember Revelations 3 and 12 the Overcomers these people that are a unique group of humans that were not just your normal run-ofthe-mill Christians there are a certain group of people called the Overcomers now let's start in our Bible study tonight we're going to go over and we're going to prove something that I believe will help bring even more context to this subject let's go to the book of 1 Corinthians 15 and verse 45 1 Corinthians 1545 and so it is written that the first man Adam was made a living Soul the last Adam was made a quickening spirit so we we have in the economy of creation if you will two Creations keep this in mind the first creation was in Genesis chapter uh 2 when yah created Adam it is in this verse in Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 that we read about the first creation of the first Adam and you know that's story very well it was a colossal failure Adam messed it all up but the Bible says that Adam was never created as a quickening spirit but rather a living Soul now unfortunately many people in the Christian church do not understand that the word soul is not speaking of some part of you that that is separate from your flesh it is not some mystical part of you in fact the reason Adam was made a living soul is because before Yahweh breathed into his nostrils he was simply a dead body he had a form but he had no living or life in him so Yahweh breathed into the first Adam and all of a sudden he becomes a soul everyone listening to me right now know this well you do not have a soul this is called the teaching of the immortal Soul Doctrine it is not a Biblical Doctrine it is a pagan Doctrine you do not have a soul but rather you are a soul I'm going to put a link right now at the top of this video you can click on it it's a it's a sermon entitled what happens to the dead and in that sermon I deal in depth with what the soul is what the soul is not but suffice it to say at this point that Adam all he ever became was a living or breathing form a breathing body a soul he never attained eternal life Adam would have been given eternal life had he simply obeyed God because salvation is always indicative on obedience eternal life is a crown to be one after a lifetime of obedience to our Heavenly Father Adam did not obey therefore he never obtained the status of a Living spirit he was was a living soul but there was another Adam this we all know that this is a reference to yua the Son of God this Adam reached a level that the first Adam did not reach this Adam Not only was he a living soul in his physical life but at the point of his death when he went down into to the Grave or Hell the Bible calls it the heart of the earth when he was placed in the heart of the Earth for 3 days and three nights when he was resurrected and 8 days later when he went to his father to be presented on the day that all sons are presented to the father and circumcised on that day he was changed this is the reason he told the lady at the Garden don't touch me yet I've not yet ascended to my father but the moment he ascended to his father he was changed just like you and I will be changed in a moment in the twinkling of an eye we will be changed from what we will be changed from the first Adam from a living Soul into the last Adam which is a Living spirit now remember this you were born a flesh son of the first Adam that man is fleshly that man is the enemy of Yahweh that man is dead while he lives however on the point of conversion you will begin to be converted you will be transformed in your mind mind as the with a spiritual mind but on the day of the Resurrection you shall be changed from this mortality to immortality what is immortality a Living spirit you will no longer be a soul man you will be a spirit man born of spirit you will come up from the grave a spirit man rather than a soul foolish man you will no longer need blood or oxygen to survive Jesus Christ josua when he was changed he came back to his disciples he visited them he walked through the wall while the doors were locked and surprised them all he was now a Living spirit so what does this have to do with Revelation chapter 3 everything this verse teaches us about two Creations the first creation when you were born of the womb your mother's belly you were in a sack of water that's why you must first be born of the water that's the first Adam birth but then there's another birth not through the womb but this time through the tomb and it is through this birth that you shall be like yua you will be made just like him as a matter of fact let's read another verse that that the uh Apostle Paul tells us in great detail uh What yua uh was in his resurrection and when you read this you will begin to I think put the pieces together of where we might be going with this verse let's go to um I believe we'll read yeah Colossians chapter 1 and verse 15 this is talking about yua it says he is the image of the invisible God now he's not the invisible God but he is rather the image of that invisible God and notice what it calls him in this verse the first born of every creature now now that word creature there is an interesting verse because if you study its Greek uh word uh tiis tiis you which is the Greek word if you're looking it up comes from uh the strongs and uh it is 2937 the word is not really creature it's interesting but the word there has been translated many other times as creation or building or institution go look it up and you're going to be surprised to find that creature is not a good translation there so what this verse is really saying and what it should have said is that he's the first born of creation or the first of a building or an institution now keep that in mind as as we go further so here we see that he's the first born of this new institution or this new creation in fact he was the firstborn from the dead and that makes him a very special man far above all of his fellows let's go to Romans 8 and 29 for whom he did for know he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his son that he might be the firstborn of many Brethren now compare Romans 829 with the verse we read before that Colossians 1:15 and you're going to find something coming together here Colossians 1:15 says he's the first born of creation but Romans 8:29 said he's the first born among a special creation many Brethren see he's not the first born of all human beings but he's the first born of the Brethren or the Elohim the sons of Yahweh go to Colossians 1 and8 Colossians 1 and8 he is the head of the body the church okay now wait a minute we've got three verses here that are putting the puzzles together the pieces together the firstborn Colossians 1:15 of this creation Romans 8:29 calls this creation the Brethren but Colossians 1:18 call excuse me calls this creation the church or the Ecclesia who is the beginning yua is the beginning of the church or the Ecclesia he is the beginning of the Brethren of the church the first born from the dead that in all things he might have the preeminence listen brothers and sisters this is a it's it's you must put these pieces together he's the first of creation now this is a new creation called the Brethren or called The Church Hebrews 12: 23 to the general assembly and the Church of the firstborn we are the church or the brothers or the Ecclesia of the firstborn who is the firstborn yua so we could change that to say we are the Church of Christ or the Church of yua we are the church which are written in heaven and to God the judge of all and to the spirits of just men made perfect when do we become spirits in the resurrection just like yua was transformed from a living soul to a living Spirit you and I will soon become those Spirit beings now let's go back to our text and we're going to break it down even further uh in these verses now the truth is if you read this verse uh Revelations 3:14 in Greek you do not read it like it reads in English but rather you read it in in a much more perfect way and uh I'm going to put on the video now what you would see if you looked at this in Greek there it is now for those of you that cannot read Greek I'm going to just break it down for you it says in the beginning or rather yua is the beginning let's look at the word right now beginning if you'll look at the video you'll see it's the Strong's Greek word 7:46 now we think of beginning differently than the Greek meaning of beginning the Greek meaning of beginning is Ary now let's find out what Ary means here the King James versions translates this word beginning 40 times but notice another translation that it uses principality and then then I want you to notice that word corner do you see it right there where it says at the top corner and then notice the word first do you remember the verses we just read calling Yeshua the first born Hallelujah of many Brethren of the Church of the spirits of just men that have been made perfect so now the translators they grabbed the word beginning but it doesn't do Justice because instead of being the beginning of the creation of God yua is actually the first and of course that can mean beginning but we get a better biblical understanding if we use the word first as it was used in other places now there are several meanings of this word beginning or origin uh the person or thing that begin or commences something the first person in a series or the leader notice that word the leader and you can read the other verses as well but the the word I want you to clue in on there is the leader now let's take that in our mind and let's go uh read another verse that I believe will show us what leader we're talking about here and we can find that in the book of I believe we're going to be in Hebrews again where we're going to see what leader exactly are we talking about here Hebrews 2 And1 Hebrews chapter 2 and verse 10 you're going to find the leader or the beginning or the first person here for it became him speaking of yua for whom are all things and by whom are all things and bringing many sons unto glory to make the captain of their salvation now could we change that word Captain to leader or to the first we absolutely could and we would be doing just fine if we did that because in fact yua led the way through the tomb yua led the way into this new creation of spirit men spirits of just men made perfect now let's go back to our text and we'll keep studying Hallelujah now notice that it also can be translated uh the word beginning can be translated uh as the word corner and uh I'm showing you two verses here acts 10 and 11 acts 11 and 5 where in fact that same word was translated as corner so with that uh in mind let's go and see if the Bible the New Testament does not refer to yua with those exact same words Luke 20 and 17 and he beheld them and said what is this then that is written the stone which the builders rejected the same is become the head of the corner now he is the corner Ephesians chapter 2 and 20 and we are built upon the foundation of the Apostles and the prophets that's the old and the New Testament Yeshua himself being the corner now remember the word beginning means corner it also means leader so when we go back to our scripture in Revelations 3 and14 instead of saying he's the beginning of this creation we could rather say he's the leader of this creation he's the first of this creation he is the corner of this creation Hallelujah now let's continue let's look at the word creation he is the beginning of the creation so what does this Greek word Tes mean is creation a good translation of that word well here's your other meanings creature creation the building and here's some of the definitions the act of founding so in other words Joshua is the founder of something he is the establisher or the pioneer of something he is the creating something he is uh go down to the meaning number c here an institution what is the Church of the Living God it is an institution made up of a prophets pastors evangelists teachers Bishops all of these this is an institution that Yu is the head of so if we read this verse again yua is the first he's the corner he's the leader he's the corner of this building do you see the word building up there is a proper translation for the word that's that we use for creation he's the corner of the building Hallelujah now let's continue and see if we can break it down now let's look at the word of God he is the beginning of the creation of God now immediately when you see the word of God your mind thinks about the almighty God Yahweh the father I understand that and I get that but brothers and sisters the Greek word Theos does not always refer to the almighty Yahweh let's read it can be translated as God Capital God or look of there it can also be translated lowercase God it can be translated as Godly or God word now look at the first definition it could be a God or a goddess or notice this a general name of deities or divinities may I ask every one of you in the resurrection when you're transferred or formed from the first Adam the living soul to the Living spirit what will you become in your spirit bodies will you still be humans of Flesh and Blood of course not you will be divine why because you will have eternal life and you will be just like God that's what your Bible says we don't know what we shall be but we know that we shall be as he is he is a deity he is divine this word Theos can refer to those that are Divine or deities now go down to the second meaning or the third meaning rather it could mean the only true God it could refer to the things of God it could refer to his counsel his interest now go to the fourth meaning whatever can in any respect be likened unto God or resemble God in any way now you got to read this whose image were you created in Adam and did he fall out of that image yes he did but let's read 1 John 3 and 2 beloved now are we the sons of God and it does not yet appear what we shall be but we know that when he shall appear we shall be like him for we shall see him as he is so what's the fourth meaning of the Greek word Theos whatever can in any respect be likened unto God or resemble him in any way is there coming a day when you will be restored to the image of God absolutely when you are born through the tomb Born Again In The Resurrection like this the last Adam then the last Adam and you will both resemble your creator so with that said let's read this and uh see if we can uh put it all together the way that we it really should be put together Revelations 3 and verse 12 now this is again speaking about yua to him that overcometh the group of people that's going to overcome are coming up in the first resurrection they're going to follow in the footsteps of yua first they were born through the womb or the water next they're going to be born through the tomb they come up in the first resurrection these are the 144,000 tribes of Israel made up of the new Israel the one new man and these tribes will be the New Jerusalem now this is all about them but before the Overcomers come forth there had to be a leader there had to be a captain there had to be a corner of this new building there had to be the one that is called the first the Elder of the brothers Revelation 3:14 now let's read it with a clear understanding these things saith yua the first of the new cre creation of the sons of God we can read it another way the captain of the sons of God or we can read it another way the corner of the building that yua is the first of the house of God the Third Temple all of this is the creation of the fullness of God which are the sons of God the many brothers of yua again these are the Overcomers and Yeshua is the first of these Overcomers this new creation of God now if you don't believe in this new creation the Bible tells you very plainly that after you're when you come up from baptism and when you're born of God through the tomb that you will be all things will be new that you will be a new creation that all things are passed away brothers and sisters please hear me tonight this does not prove Revelations 3:14 has nothing to do with pre-existence of the man Christ Jesus this verse is telling you who he is he is the first of the many brothers the ones that will resemble Yahweh the ones that will be part of this third Temple he is the corner of that Third Temple I pray that this has helped you to understand Revelations 3:14 and please help our ministry we're a small min Ministry we don't have the resources to reach the world but one push of a button and you can help us reach your world share Summary

This teaching explains Revelation 3:14 by placing it in the context of the overcomers in Revelation 3:12. The message argues that Yahshua is the beginning, firstborn, captain, and corner of a new creation, not the eternal second person of a Trinity or a preexistent divine being created before time. The teaching connects Yahshua as the last Adam with the resurrection hope of the overcomers, who will be changed from living souls into living spirits and become part of the living temple of Yahweh.
