Shane Vaughn explains - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxkggymNtuQ Transcript: (00:03) circumcision what a unique thing for God Yahweh to choose as the sign of the Covenant you can't help but wonder why Yahweh would have chosen such a shall we say well we'll just go with unique why would God choose that it's a great question and it needs an answer because if the enemy Satan can ever get you to doubt the word of God the Perfection of God then he's halfway won the Battle of pulling you away from God so my duty as a minister of the Gospel is to defend the word of God so I'd like like to do that today I want to talk about (01:03) this Covenant and circumcision being the sign of that Covenant so to understand the circumcision there's a few things that you need to never forget God Yahweh made a covenant with a man by the name of Abraham Abraham was really where the the Bible Story begins from Genesis CH 1 to Genesis 12 is I I want you to think about that 12 little chapters that covers millenniums of time and the formation of all creation and in 12 chapters small chapters by is CH 1 to Genesis 12 is I I want you to think about that 12 little chapters that covers millenniums of time and the formation of all creation and in 12 chapters small chapters by the way why is that because those first 12 chapters of your Bible are (02:04) basically a background for the main character the protagonist or the main character of the story of the whole Bible is a man named Abraham so anything before Genesis CH 12 is the background it's not really where God is focused on a lot of detail but when comes to Abraham he gets very detailed so he calls this man out from his family and friends and says follow after me leave your pagan gods and you and I are going to make a covenant now there's a few questions about this Covenant he said that after we make this Covenant (02:56) that every male every one of your sons will will be circumcised this will be a sign of the Covenant between me and your people now what was God thinking what was in his mind to give this odd sign of the circumcision this physical Mark that really appears to be one-sided what about the women were they not in Covenant with God because they were not required to be circumcised only males were so what is ysical Mark that really appears to be one-sided what about the women were they not in Covenant with God because they were not required to be circumcised only males were so what is really going on here the key to it all is knowing this the circumcision was a sign a physical sign of the Covenant that was witnessed (04:00) by the miraculous conception and birth of Isaac that's it when you understand what a miracle the birth of Isaac was you will come to know that Isaac was not born by the will of man Isaac was not born by the quote unquote flesh even though the seed of a fleshly man was used Isaac was a son of promise from Yahweh Yahweh said I will do this work by my spirit I will arrange it this is going to happen Abraham and you will have nothing to do with it except you will be a tool I will use your seed but I will create the miracle he tells (05:01) Abraham you're going to be the father of many nations not just one nation but many nations and my Covenant is with you Abraham you're going to have a multitude of Nations kings are going to come out from you and this is the Covenant that Yahweh made with Abraham now the funny thing about it is that Abraham was very old very old God itude of Nations kings are going to come out from you and this is the Covenant that Yahweh made with Abraham now the funny thing about it is that Abraham was very old very old God then tells Abraham I'm going to do this miracle through the womb of your wife Sarah so this Covenant this miracle is going to include male and female it's going to be between Abraham and Sarah (05:51) and she will I will bless her he says I will give her a boy the only problem is that it is impossible for this to happen absolutely impossible there was no physical way that Sarah could produce a child she would literally have to go back to being a young woman 40 and under here she is 90 years old this proves to us that the birth of Isaac is a miraculous birth Isaac would not come from the flesh he would come from God himself now the name of Isaac is what is so interesting because when Sarah heard about this promise she literally said (06:53) we're going to be the laughing stock of the world when we tell them this the every one is going to laugh everyone is going to laugh and Yahweh told her the name of the child would be Isaac and I will establish my Covenant with him not with Ishmael not with the son of s going to laugh everyone is going to laugh and Yahweh told her the name of the child would be Isaac and I will establish my Covenant with him not with Ishmael not with the son of the flesh Hagar's son that man was involved with no no no this will be a supernatural Birth by the Holy Spirit and yes I will use flesh fleshly tools to do the work but I am arranging it all so Sarah in her old age conceived yep and she bore a son an impossible son (07:47) and called his name Isaac Abraham was a 100 years old Sarah was 90 years old and absolutely as God said this son was miraculously supernaturally born and guess what8 8 Days Later according to the law of God he was circumcised he was circumcised the forkin was cut off of the very area that God supernaturally used now the name Isaac is the Hebrew word yock which literally means to laugh Isaac was a joke anytime God does something supernaturally in your life you'll have to sit back and laugh at it because there's no way you could have done that (08:50) in the flesh I do that all the time when I look at first Harvest Ministries I laugh because I had nothing to do with it I literally was simply a tool in the creation of almighty God so they sh I do that all the time when I look at first Harvest Ministries I laugh because I had nothing to do with it I literally was simply a tool in the creation of almighty God so they had the boy they named him laughter because it was by an act of God but do not miss the big picture in all of this it was Isaac's miraculous conception and birth that's the key to understanding why God chose circumcision remember every male as well as every female knew that circumcision was connected to the miraculous beginning of the nation of (09:42) Israel any time an Israelite man was circumcised when he joined with his wife that brought her into the Covenant before she married she was brought in through her father's circumcision but brothers and sisters they knew with this physical sight that they were not like the other nations of the world they were not like other people they were set apart and their beginning was miraculous the seed from which they come was not of the flesh it was not of the will of man they knew when they saw the circumcision they were REM REM minded (10:30) that they were birthed by the Holy Spirit they were birthed Hallelujah from a higher place than the will of man and that's ey saw the circumcision they were REM REM minded (10:30) that they were birthed by the Holy Spirit they were birthed Hallelujah from a higher place than the will of man and that's why in the New Testament the Apostle Paul breaks it down so beautifully about circumcision he tells us the reason we no longer have to be circumcised in the flesh anymore is because when yosua came and the Holy Spirit came and gave birth supernaturally to another breed of humans called the sons of God or the sons of Israel by the spirit setting them apart making them different from the world that he would circumcise their (11:28) heart he would literally cut off their mind their circumcised their mind he would cut off their human mind their human way of thinking he would replace it with the Holy Spirit and they would be reminded that they're not of this world they're not born of the will of man but they're a different group of people born from a different Source begotten from a different Source not begotten by your Earthly fathers no but when you receive the Holy Spirit you receive the holy seed and therefore your birth is of the circumcision it's not of the Flesh and (12:17) that's why circumcision is hers no but when you receive the Holy Spirit you receive the holy seed and therefore your birth is of the circumcision it's not of the Flesh and (12:17) that's why circumcision is no longer of the flesh because that was a sign that was pointing us to the true set apartness the true circumcision and now every time you recognize the flesh being cut away in your mind those old human thoughts those evil ways when you see that happening it's to remind you that your father is not your Earthly father not your sperm donor not your seed donor no no no you have a different Genesis you have a different origin now and it's not of the will of man but it is of the will of God and you are an (13:06) Israelite chosen by sacred seed thank you for watching
