I simply want to talk to you from the bottom of my heart hello I am Pastor Shane vau I'm the pastor of a national Congregation of followers of Christ that do not celebrate Christmas and it's very confusing to many people and we understand that so I wanted to take time today on Christmas Eve and explain to you why we have chosen not to follow Christmas we've often found that families are much more tolerant of people that decide to live alternative Lifestyles than they are when told that we're not going to celebrate Christmas so I'm hoping at the end of this quick 10 minute lesson that you will open your arms up to your family members that have chosen not to celebrate first of all the desire not to celebrate Christmas comes from a deep desire within our hearts to remain faithful to the biblical Commandments and to honor the Traditions that Yahweh that is God has established for his people all throughout history Yahweh God has always set his people apart from the whole world all you have to do is go back to the land of Israel when he called them out of Egypt he said now as you travel through the desert and you run into other cultures don't learn from them don't celebrate what they celebrate there's no need to I've given you seven glorious celebrations for my people it is something that identifies you as Israel and don't learn their Customs their Traditions their C celebrations when you travel through their land be separate be identified as faithful unto the god of Israel now we know that all through the scriptures when you're reading you'll find interesting mentions of the word pagans or heathens and it always refers to a Grove of trees the pagans would always meet a Among The Groves are the trees today we call them Tree Huggers there has always been this connection with paganism and this worship of Nature and so Yahweh said my people are to do it my way well let's move over into the New Testament now because yes that was all Old Testament but God never changes his word never changes and his desire for you and me to be separate never changes in the early church right after yua died the church begin to grow and that's where the Roman Catholic Church began to dominate the world well as the Roman Catholic Church wanted to grow and expand their membership they ran into a problem when they got into the Celtic lands and they got among the Celtic people they began to find How Deeply rooted paganism was in the hearts of these new converts these new converts were willing to accept the Christ of the Roman Catholic church but they were not willing to accept the difference of being sold out to the god of Israel so the Catholic church had to figure out a way to incorporate these people I'd like to tell you about these people they were known by a term that we don't identify with anymore in our culture pagans what is a pagan a Pagan's not an evil person a Pagan's not a devil worshipper by Nature a pagan is simply someone that loves all the gods and worships them all whether it's dionis or tamuz they desire to worship the gods but there's a problem Israel was told to worship only one God Yahweh and he said all these pagans will know who you are by your Traditions your celebrations that's why he gave them the weekly Sabbath and the annual Sabbath days these pagans live by Nature meaning they were very superstitious they had a lot of faith in the sun known in their religion as Baal or Soul Invictus the sun god well every year in the winter solstice season the sun would begin to die and fear would grip their heart the cold of winter would begin to creep across the land with no promise none that this son would ever return for another Harvest but they wanted that son to return so they begin to create celebrations starting at the winter solstice now on the Julian calendar in the time of Christ what day was the Winter Solstice on December the 25th the shortest day of the year and then as we moved into the Gregorian calendar it moved to December 21st but this entire season is connected to the worship of that false god and that's where you find so many of the traditions of Christmas cutting down the Christmas tree bringing it in and in those days they would put candles on the tree in honor of soul and vict us it was also a day that the God tamuz was born on December the 25th so these pagans loved their celebration about like Hispanics love Cinco Deo it's in their heart it connects them to their identity well yahweh's people have been called out of all of that to be different from the world now many of us in the last few years have come to realize that to celebrate the birth of Christ we didn't have to do it the way the Roman Catholic Church did how did they do it they told these pagans join our church and we'll join your celebrations we'll Rebrand it we'll call it the birth of Christ the only thing is it's a lie the whole celebration is a lie imagine our disgust when we found out we were living in a world of Lies not taught to us by the world but by our churches but we were not angry enough or disappointed enough to lose faith in God we just went to his word and wanted to know when was Christ born we found the answer it's very easy to find you can search my Channel and I'll prove to you when Christ was born and so we said hey we have a grand idea how could we celebrate the birth of Christ without honoring the son God or tamuz or keeping with all those traditions and we decided to do just that by celebrating the time when he was truly born one of the commanded holy days who knew Yahweh in giving us soote the Feast of Tabernacles was giving us the time to celebrate his birth so why do we have to reach over to Pagan roots to celebrate the birth of Christ all of us that have chosen not to celebrate tomorrow we're not your enemies yes we are followers of Christ and we Rejoice at his birth we just don't Rejoice at what they did to his birth they annihilated his honor by mixing it in with false gods many of us chose to lay that aside to love all of you that still keep it we have no problem with you at all we just wish that you didn't have a problem with us for truly we love Christ as much as you but we've chosen what we believe is a better way thank you for watching May Yahweh bless you and keep you during this season [Music]

Summary

The message explains why the speaker and his congregation do not celebrate Christmas, emphasizing separation from pagan customs and faithfulness to Yahweh’s appointed celebrations. It presents Christmas as a later blending of pagan traditions with Christianity and contrasts that with the Sabbath and annual holy days given by Yahweh. The teaching concludes that rejecting Christmas is not a rejection of Yahshua’s birth, but a choice to honor it through what the speaker presents as Yahweh’s appointed way.
