It's a preacher, a woman preacher. And I'm going to play you a minute and 37 seconds of her sermon. And then I'm going I'm going to come back and eviscerate her sermon. Sit back and make sure you don't allow her to deceive you. Because when I come back, I'll relieve you of that deception. (00:31) List those American flags. We've been [music] taught all our lives to pledge our allegiance to the flag. But God said, "I want my people to pledge allegiance to me." Come out [music] of Babylon, my people. If you stayed in Babylon, you will get the wrath of Babylon. [music] Decide this day who you will serve. (00:55) Are you GOING TO SERVE GOD, OR YOU'RE GOING TO SERVE BABYLON? [music] We pledge OUR ALLEGIANCE TO THE GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We give our allegiance [music] to Jesus Christ. We give our allegiance to Jesus [music] Christ. Come out of your grave, folks, and come enter [music] the kingdom of God. All right, I don't know this lady. (01:22) I have no ill will towards her. Hopefully, she'll see this video. So, she can at least see it from a different perspective. Boy, it sounded good. It sounded persuasive. Throw down those American flags and serve only God. Pledge your allegiance only to God. First of all, before I address it, she referred to America as Babylon. I'm sure in her mind what [clears throat] she's saying is correct. After all, we all love God more than anything. And we do pledge our allegiance to God, Yahweh, more than anything. (02:23) But she just told her congregation that pledging allegiance to the American flag is idolatry. And I'm going to show you tonight from the Bible that what she claims in this message is wrong. Not slightly wrong, not just contextually wrong, but scripturally demonstrably wrong. And I'm going to start in Numbers chapter 2 and verse 2. (02:53) In that verse of scripture, a nation, a political nation called Israel has gathered together. And there are 12 states in that nation or tribes, whatever you want to call them. And every man in that nation Yahweh commanded them to bring their flags of their state and stand before him with their flags. To bring their standard, which was a flag, because their flag represented their identity that he had prophesied over each one of those tribes. (03:46) So, their God is calling them not to throw their flags at the altar, but to come and stand before him holding their national identity flag. That's in your Bible, by the way, okay? So, not just mine, it's in yours. The Hebrew word for standard is degel, d e g e l, and it means flag, banner, ensign. You know, the very thing that this preacher just told her people to throw down at the altar, that idolatry. (04:21) In Numbers, God is calling those idolatrous flags for the people to hold them. Yahweh designed the entire camp of Israel around their flags. Now, what she was doing sounded cute, and some of you were even falling for it. But you see, when you know the God of the Old Testament, it'll straighten up the junk found in this new covenant era, such as what you just heard. (04:57) So, I have to make a choice. Do I come and throw my flag that's idolatry at the altar, or do I do what Yahweh said, and pick it up and fight for it? Reuben had a flag. The state of Dan had a flag. The state of Ephraim had a flag, and they marched under those flags, and they were allegiant to those flags. (05:20) They went to war under those flags. Isaiah 11 and 12 said that he has set up a flag for the nations. Yahweh sets up flags. Yahweh assigns banners. A flag is not an idol. A flag is a banner. And there's a universe of difference between the two. In Matthew 22, the Pharisees ask Yeshua this question. Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar honor? Is it lawful to give honor to Caesar, the wicked government? And Yeshua looked at the coin with Caesar's picture on it. (06:15) And here's what he said. Render honor unto Caesar. And the things which are Caesar's honor them. And then honor whatever is Yahweh's unto Yahweh. He did not say bring your coins with Caesar's picture to the altar and repent for the idolatry of having a man's face in your wallet or in your pocket. He said render. (06:47) Give honor and acknowledge Caesar. Romans 13 and 1. Let every person submit themselves to the government. For there is no government that's not been allowed by Yahweh. The powers and the governments that exist are created ordained by Yahweh. Ordained. Not just tolerated. Not reluctantly permitted, but ordained. Romans 13 and 4 calls the governing authority the minister of Yahweh. (07:33) The governing authority and the banner of that governing authority was instituted by the very God that you were telling us to throw it down at the altar, too. When we submit to the government that Yahweh has ordained, we are submitting to God. Not to an idol, but to the one that placed that authority over us. So, when I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, I'm not worshiping a piece of cloth. (08:10) I am acknowledging the banner of the nation that Yahweh raised up. I, just like Israel, am bringing my flag and submitting to it. I'm acknowledging the nation that Yahweh raised up. I'm honoring what he established. I'm submitting to the authority and pledging my allegiance to the authority that he ordained. And when I do pledge allegiance to one nation under God, I am declaring with those words that the ultimate authority is not the flag or the nation, but it's under God. (09:00) I'm not pledging my allegiance to the government or the Constitution, but the God that authorized all three. Under God, making God the ultimate. So, when I pledge allegiance to the flag, I'm acknowledging I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States and to the Republic that it stands for. One nation under God. (09:34) So, by pledging allegiance to the nation, I'm acknowledging therewith that the nation, of course, doesn't equal with God. The nation is under God, not equal to him. We acknowledge that in the pledge of allegiance. It's not above him. We're not If If it's idolatry, we're equating it with God. But when it's a banner under God, how is that idolatry? That's the constitutional order of a covenant nation. (10:16) And I will go one step further tonight. I am proud to pledge allegiance to a nation that was founded on the commandments of Yahweh. I'm proud to honor that allegiance until the moment that my nation steps into illegal authority outside of those commandments. And the moment that they demand me to do so, then I'll show you my true allegiance. (10:44) But until then, I'm proud to pledge my allegiance to a nation that their original seal was the children of Israel crossing the Red Sea. I will place my hand over my heart, and I will say the words, and I will mean every one of them. So, this lady preacher can throw her flag in the altar. But what you're really throwing in the altar is obedience to the government that Yahweh himself placed over you. (11:19) What a tragedy that some people will watch that video and believe every single word of it because it sounds so good, but it's so unbiblical. And you understand that America is end-time Israel, the lost tribes of Israel, you will gladly stand up for her flag with originally had 13 stars for the 13 tribes. (11:48) When you know who America is, you proudly, just like those Israelites proudly brought their banners together, I proudly bring mine. So glad to do it.
